gaz being rei makes sense to me cuz rei is technically related to shinji and i see them as siblings ! membrane is the father of both of them but in this au gaz was created without the knowledge of dib (because he was sent away as a child like shinji) (but not as a clone of his nonexistent mother like in eva, instead as a clone of membrane himself like in actual iz !) so he has no idea she’s his sister until he eventually finds out but he treats her like a sister anyway lol. she was also created bc membrane needed a pilot who was a pro gamer so he genetically engineered her to be PRO at gaming and obviously she was so she’s his favorite child LMAO

also i am so sorry for making professor membrane gendo i hate gendo just as much as everyone else does but i promise he’s like, way less bad in this au. same level of shitty father as in invader zim, not the same level of shitty father as gendo
