A peaceful ride without exerting any power . . .

Even in the pitch darkness it was hard not to be impressed with Stargroves. An Elizabethan manor of kingly proportions, it had once been the headquarters of Oliver Cromwell. It was in need of some refurbishing, but its stables and outbuildings set on forty thickly wooded acres made it all but irresistible. Besides, it dwarfed both Richards's Redlands and Wyman's Gedding Hall. Mick had to have it.

Baby Blue is approximately 8yrs old w/short hair & weighs about 19lbs. He was the neighborhood stray Tom Cat fighting to survive. It took him a long time to trust people. He now knows what it means to be loved. Baby Blue is very independent but loves to lay next to you when he’s ready to nap. He also loves to be gently brushed & he falls asleep like magic when you sing to him ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.’ He likes to be the king of his castle so he would be ideal to be the only fur kid for he is territorial around other cats.

SP 8656 leads five other Southern Pacific standard cab EMD's east on Union Pacific's Yuma Subdivision. This unit survives today as part of the WAMX locomotive fleet. The lead units may have been the Loma Linda Helper set assigned to assist this train up Beaumont Hill.
