The Wickham Family Album: Volume XIX
After sharing an impromptu first kiss with Brittany, Augustus thinks that a proper first date should be his next move.
It's off to Rollerama in Sanditon for them both! Ugh, although this isn't a great start to the date.
Thankfully, she seems to like his humour better than his conversation.
It's a quiet day at the roller-rink, with just a select clientele.
After a bit of flirting...
...it's time for some refreshment. Augustus was thinking of just a coffee, but Brittany seems to have worked up quite an appetite already!
The waiter's clumsiness...
...fortunately doesn't spoil the mood.
I think he's got himself a girlfriend.
In the end, it's a first date to remember - commemorated with some photobooth shots.
As Brittany heads home to catch up on some homework before school tomorrow, we're treated to a display of skating prowess by Max Flexor - although Augustus doesn't seem to have mastered it himself.
Back at home, it's actually Rebecca's big day.
And because - being the youngest - she often seems to be a bit of an afterthought, let's give her her own screenshot, rather than having to share with big sister Laura. I think she's looking quite a lot like her dad.

280 - State and Main
Forgotten cinema, you ask? This week, we're coming to you with 2000's State and Main, a Hollywood satire and ensemble comedy from lauded playwright David Mamet. A farce about a film production wreaking havoc on small town America, the film featured a very Mametian cast of Alec Baldwin and William H. Macy along with of-the-moment stars on the rise like Philip Seymour Hoffman, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Julia Stiles. An ensemble win from the National Board of Review helped coast the film through the season, but it managed little other award mentions despite strong reviews.
This episode, we talk about David Mamet's high (but waning) regard in the American theatre in contrast to his more under-the-radar film reputation. We also talk about PSH's late-90s breakthrough years, SJP's reign over the Globes for Sex and the City, and WHM's surprising lack of an Oscar nomination since Fargo.
Topics also include "so that happened" as a punchline, Fine Line Features, and NBR giving Best Picture to Quills.

ANDREW GARFIELD 's kisses...
The way he holds the face of the contemplated, sorry I mean, actresses... is too surreal for me. And this sequence of "Boy A" makes me have several types of thoughts that... 🥵 Better not to confess here. Anyway, actresses doing some of things i'd like to do with him. 🔥🔥🔥

With Adelaide Clemens in "Under The Banner Of Heaven" (2022)
