Almost done with the faceup of my desolation girlie!! I'm loving how the Blackest Black 4.0 is working in those eye sockets, they're so dark!! Unfortunately I needed to do a coat of it over the eyeliner, because the eyeliner being lighter bothered me, and now I need to wait until this caffeine leaves my system so my hands are steady enough to do another pass. Also need to get her some lashes to go with those gaping burnt out sockets

Still not sure what I'm going to do with her hair, but the sloppy half up half down looks somewhat promising. I'll test out different shapes and see what speaks to me, but I'd love suggestions!! I'm probably going to end up giving her a sorceress style dress, but I'm fairly open about clothes as well, lol

HIP JOINT MODIFICATION TUTORIAL

.

🚫children do not attempt! get an adult to do this for you because sharp objects are used🚫

.

all you need to do this is a needle file

the thinnest you can find

mine is from a scrap booking distressing kit but I found a lot of inexpensive sets on amazon etc.

the finger protector isn't necessary but if you do several in a row I find it helps a lot to protect your nerve endings

i got the pink ones at the dollar tree

.

gently file a little of the base of the body following the black line on the 4th photo

focusing mostly on the cyan part

you only need to shave off a little to get them to sit down much better

I do one leg and then the other till they match and sit nicely even with a lot of hair pulling them backwards

My first rainbow high custom doll is done!!

Start:

After taping up the eyes and pinning back the hair, I sprayed two layers of Rust-Oleum matte clear on her face.

Next, one layer of pastels and a layer of sealant:

Then another layer of pastels and sealant:

I skipped taking one progress picture on accident so this is after two more layers of pastels and pencils:

And one more layer and she's done! The body blushing was only one layer.

She is all done and I’m loving all of it. 🥰

Dress I recoloured back in February 2022. Gloves, jacket, and choker is from the Mermaze dolls I recently bought and her earrings are from Jade I just bought too, a small homage to Jade for the box.

Skylar is from the winter series. I recoloured her hair after I wanted to see how she’d look if those lovely curls was brushed out. Definitely don’t recommend it lol
