@ephemyrals said: i love watching you work . (shinya for byakkomaru)
dusty toybox sentence starters
A rumble of rich laughter leaves the demon's chest when one of the three tigers manifested slips behind Shinya. By time it emerges on the other side, the demon has traded his tiger form for his humanoid form. As expected, the other two manifestations of himself strike their targets and leave nothing behind. There aren't even any scraps of fabric as blue fire devours the cloth until it seems like nothing every existed. His hands rest on either side of Shinya's shoulders as he playfully leans down.
" That so? I feel like the humans might call that conceited since you pull the trigger. " He teases lightly. Of course, the other humans have little understanding of the bond between the tiger and his wielder....or the tiger demon himself. For all that time caged in their control, he'd been vehemently opposed to human interference and killed those foolish enough to try to understand him. Until Shinya that is.
He slides his hands off of Shinya's shoulders, ears flicking idly to listen to the sounds surrounding them. " It's nice to work though. It's felt like ages since we really got to do anything. " He adds, strolling forward before casting a glance over his shoulder. " Do we have more work? I'm hungry. " And Shinya's desires were the last he wanted to feast on.
" Then you can sit and admire me work even more ~ " He tosses a smile at Shinya, blue eyes gleaming with playfulness before looking ahead again. He could shuffle though Shinya's memories, but he was never inclined to do so. And frankly he'd been busy either napping or chatting with Raimeiki during the meeting - one of the two. He wasn't actually quite sure which it was at this particular moment. It didn't matter either.

"Let's adventure to Neverland with us! You will have an enjoyable experience!"
Kureto: "Stupid, who said that? You, Guren?"
Guren: "...no way. A damn trip, it's not fun at all."
Kureto: "So who just said that? Raimeiki?"
Raimeiki: "If I could, I wish I didn't get caught up in this stupid adventure of yours..."
Guren: "So it's not Raimeiki, is it you, Noya?"
Noya: "Don't you think this trip is fun, Guren! I was going to say that but it seems someone spoke for me hehe!"
Kureto: "Damn it, so who said that?"
Villain: "(. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)"

"Enough of that." Byakkomaru bent down, scooping Shinya up into his arms bridal style with a playful smile as he pulled the other away from his work. The growing displeasure with the papers was easy for the demon to sense, even if it didn't show on the other's face. Like master like demon; experts of masking their emotions and thoughts.
He huffs. "It'll be there after your break. Kureto can wait. Worse scenario I ask Raimeiki to buy some time." Byakkomaru said before an argument could be posed. He walked over to a sunny spot before gently setting Shinya down on the ground before shifting to his tiger form, fur still warm with sunlight and he curled up around Shinya.
𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐖𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐊 , now the world went up in flames and merely the ghost of society was left , that paperwork was no longer a topnotch priority or a task that consumed hours on a daily . well , guess again . shinya read swiftly , was to unravel intricate matters and most of all , he could easily disconnect from his feelings — it didn’t bother him so much to read about their fallen comrades , they were nothing but black ink on creased paper . yet , doing his paperwork remained one of his least favorite activities . but he knew his friends had more difficulty with work in which death & decay was the theme . pulling through the night had left him tired , even so , a pleasant smile was plastered to his visage when his demon started his protest . ❝ i just — ❞ his sentence was cut off abruptly by a sharp inhale , a jolt of surprise made his heart beat faster . shinya could hear it’s heaving hammering into his ears . damn , his demon found something new every time . dissatisfaction quickly followed the initial bewilderment ; he had no memories of ever being carried like this before . ❝ you can put me down now . ❞ which of course wasn’t happening . despite his verbal disagreement , the sniper did little to escape the embarrassing hold the other had on him and rested back in the strong pair of arms . once outside , he could immediately feel the heat of the sun caressing his pale skin and the fresh air cleared his mind from the relentless events it was occupied by . ❝ i guess taking a break won’t hurt . ❞ shinya offered eventually , making himself comfortable hugged by warm fur , digits slowly brushing though . eyelids grew heavy , lashes closing over them mere minutes after they had settled down . it had been a first , to drift off to sleep so soon . maybe it was exhaustion , maybe it was the knowledge he was safe in the company of the tiger .

BYAKKOMARU VAMPIRE & PRE-GEAR DEMON HEADCANON ( + GEAR )
As we now know , Byakkomaru was a third progenitor. Following the previous headcanon about his human life , he was turned by the First during one of his wars. For a while , Byakkomaru chose to remain in his position to his empire while also serving as a progenitor member.
Byakkomaru was , as stated in past posts , a very calm vampire but extremely well known for how dangerous he was in battle and his penchant for it. He got along with the others , learned , and did well as a vampire, becoming well liked by many of them. For a long time , there was no conflict between his place in the council and his place in his empire. His emotions dulled but the sense of loyalty from his time as a human did not falter ( nor would it in the future ). He was known to be more playful and relaxed than the others , but he was always careful to stay aware of everything and to take certain matters seriously.
That changed however when one of the seconds chose to aid an enemy. Rather than siding with the others , he chose to defend the kingdom he’d served for so long. Ultimately it led to his transformation into a demon as punishment. His heart was ripped out , and he became one of ( if not the ) first case of transformation by this method.
Byakkomaru struggled with memories at this point. Because it was not the transformation into gear , he retained some memories of emotions but struggled with remembering himself as a human or vampire. ( Although he kept the tiger necklace he had as a human and to this day still wears it , though he does not remember why it is significant to him , just that it is. ) This is where THIS information all comes into play. He disappeared from the Progenitor Council’s radar for many years and became the Byakkomaru he is today , though not yet bound to any gear.
He became famous as the tiger demon since he would almost always approach others in his signature white tiger form. People would often lower their guards to a talking demon over the horned humanoid figure , and he took advantage of it to create classic demon contracts with humans desperate for aid , greed , revenge , whatever their hearts desired. This is where he developed his taste for devouring SOULS over DESIRES. People would put their souls on the line to make a contract with him. The cost was high , but everyone who made a contract would get as they desired , though many would perish soon after. Some took it as a sign of his ruthless nature , others assumed natural coincidence. Byakkomaru didn’t care.
It was in this era that Byakkomaru met his FIRST master , and the only master he had before Shinya. Though who is a secret Byakkomaru keeps to this day , they were a real historical figure known for their battle skills and intelligence. He felt respect for the other and took an oath to serve his master for as long as his master wished. And he did , until the day came that his master conquered no more and fought no more battles , and relieved the demon of any sort of duty to stay. Byakkomaru chose to stay even after until the passing of his master before he returned to his days of devouring souls of foolish mortals.
Byakkomaru was reintroduced to the Progenitor Council when Shikama Doji called for him and he answered. This is the time he began to bond with many of the others vampires , like Gekkoin , Raimeikie , etc. Although he was no longer a vampire himself , it made no difference and while still doing his own thing , he often began to hang out and know them as well until centuries later Shikama Doji asked for them to become apostles to which he readily agreed. He was already a demon , but this was a step further and it wasn’t as though he had much to lose.
Thus , he eventually turned into the manifestation demon that he is these days. As previous posts have stated , his brutality and efficiency made many desire to become his master , but none were able to handle it and were often driven insane if not outright killed. After many tests and attempts , Byakkomaru was sealed away until Shinya Hiragi.
Because Byakkomaru was already a demon with powers and contracted experience , he functions a bit different than most of the others. When Shinya succeeded Byakkomaru’s trials and earned the demon’s respect , they forged the typical bond of cursed gear and human , but Byakkomaru also gave Shinya his own contract and oath to serve Shinya as he had his first master. It is also why Byakkomaru is able to feed off the energy and souls of those he attacks and he continues to prefer that , but can and will feed of Shinya’s desires if necessary or ordered to.

It's kind of funny how literal some of the demons names are. Byakkomaru literally means white tiger, Raimeiki literally means thunder demon, and Kiseki-o literally means "King of the Demon Box." But this also brings up other questions, like why their names before they were vampires are what they are. Apparently, people name their children Raimei and Kiseki, but Byakko is technically a surname and if you are familiar with some East Asian mythology you've probably heard of the White Tiger of the West, or Byakko, in Japanese.
Out of all the demons, Byakkomaru is the most loyal to his name, manifesting as white tigers and even wearing a tiger cloak in his more humanoid form. This kind of makes me wonder if he (and Raimeiki, Kiseki-o, and Gekkouin) was something else before he was a demon/vampire.
When ancient Yuu, Ashera, Krul, and Noya go to see winged Mika way back when, Noya mentions something about how Mika is what all of them were supposed to be. In other words, perfect Michaelas, whatever that means. Michaela, or Mikaela, means "who resembles/is like God." The Michaela in Ancient Greece is said to be Sika Madu's son, but for whatever reason, he attempts to make others, and there are characters who have the "Michaela trait" (Mika, Crowley, and Ferid). Krul, Ashera, and Noya are known to be human before they become vampires, but what about the others? Demons don't have to be vampires before they turned, though those who aren't are all human, rather than something else.
Sika Madu is someone who I'm not entirely sure of being a vampire before becoming a demon, at least not completely. He's able to manifest wings, for example, which are very seraph-like in appearance and he's also the first vampire, and how he came to be so when all vampires apparently have to be turned by others is unknown.
There must have been something special about those Shikama Doji had chosen, especially considering how he didn't choose Krul and Ky Luc, who are also both third progenitors, or even Rigr and Urd, who were/are second progenitors and technically would have more powerful than the thirds. Actually, I'm curious. All the sixth progenitors and above were sired by Sika Madu, but for what reason do they have more/less capabilities? Is the amount of power they gain random, or is the sire able to choose the amount of power bestowed upon them?
But I digress. No one would name their child "Byakko," so I'm wondering if this hints at some sort of different pre-demon existence. It's also possible that this could just be a chosen name or a nickname and I'm looking into it too much.

How Urd could find out that Byakkomaru and Raimeki are inside Shinya and Kureto Hiiragi?!
With the release of chapter 106 and the fact we saw how Urd brought Shinya and Kureto as hostages this question appeared to many that how Urd actually exactly knew Byakkomaru and Raimeki were inside of Shinya and Kureto?!
Well I have 3 ideas that wanna share!
1- as I mentioned before, Byakkomaru, Raimeki, Kiseki O and Gekkoin were already black demons before Noya and Asuramaru so it actually means that before Shikama doji would leave the vampires behind he already had some of his black demons and ofc we saw Urd and Saito back then too so we can assume that they knew about Byakkomaru and Raimeki AND their power before so sure when Urd went to the human city he could easily find those who has Byakkomaru and Raimeki because of the power and the abilities they were using
2- in both main manga and Wrat19 volume 2 chapter 1, Ky Luc and Saito mentioned that they could easily sense the presence of something dangerous (Mahiru) and something not natural in general so maybe we can say that the same happened to Urd too and he could easily sense the difference in Shinya and Kureto because of having two powerful black demons behind them and so as a vampire he just could easily sense their dangerous presence again
3- the most easiest possible answer is that the reason why Urd found that out was because simply both Shinya and Kureto were far more powerful than the rest of the humans so they must holding different types of demons (black demons) and although he may didn't know that they were bearing Byakkomaru and Raimeki inside of themselves he could just easily predict that they must have one of the Shikama's apostles and all so he went directly to them and collected them this way (no need to just think too hard sometimes!)
So what about your ideas guys?! Do you think about other options?! Feel free to add more guesses if you want to ;))

OnS Theory - Who is Yuu aiming to resurrect?
A rather tricky title for a theory, but actually, it’s something that I find rather amusing, is he trying to save Mika or is he trying to save Mikaela?
P.S: Theories are held within a neutral view and ships are excluded
As it’s been mentioned for a good time, the whole issue within the story is that Shikama is seeking to resurrect his son Mikaela, tasking his creation, Yuu, to help him resurrect no matter the cost and sacrifices made.
Image taken from Chapter 113
Despite the canon information about labeling Mika as the son of Shikama, there’s something rather trickish with the details given, what do I mean?
First of all, despite the lack of continuity in the Mikaela LNs, it is hinted that for so long, Rigr Stafford and Ferid Bathory seeked those carrying out the Michaela trait; and of course, with years, only Mika carried out both genes, the Seraph and the Michaela trait. But, even so, the story is slowly and gradually showing that it is highly possible that there’s a huge gap between Mikaela and Mika; is there solid proof?
There is:
Image taken from Chapter 114
Rigr points out that Shikama indeed found out a child who appeared in front of the Hyakuya Orphanage to meet the standards for the resurrection of his son, but it isn’t mentioned that his son reincarnated, but rather, a vessel for Mikaela was found.
Of course, Rigr kept delaying such scenario over and over until we reached the current events of the story, but, how does this relate to the question of the theory title?
Easy. Yuu is not focused on resurrectinng Mika from 16 years ago, but rather, he’s focusing to bring back the existance of Mikaela. But isn’t that a good thing? Isn’t it the same Mika?
Image taken from Chapter 120
For this, the answer is no. Certain reader might point out that it’s the authors story and while it’s indeed true that it is Kagami’s story at the end of the day, stories take the elemental essence of inspiration and ultimately, in order to dig into such topics, Owari is certainly not the first to touch the topics of resurrection, cloning processes, memory transfer, vessels or tools.
In fact other anime/game title stories touch reincarnation including books that focus on doing the action such as: REGRESSION. Along this, there’s a phrase that I love so much and I’d love to quote it:
“The World allows a mind to find another matching vessel, but does not allow a vessel to gather the pieces of a mind”.
And perhaps you’ll wonder, what touches or dwelves this phrase upon, it’s simple; humans are unique, we have certain factors that determinate who we are despite sharing charms, characteristics, ideals and goals; that elemental point that makes or gives us identity even with the spawn of time, centuries and the possibility of reincarnation, cannot be replicated; the only way to save someone would be going to the past and alter it to give such being a new possibility.
But, what does this have to do with Mika’s resurrection?
Mikaela is certainly a character that misfortune focused due to all the things that have happened to him, but there’s one interesting detail and that is the very fact that he holds “key points” for elements of the story and the topic about the resurrection is no exception:
Image taken from chapter 106
Mikaela as a character is wary of his own footsteps in contrary with Yuu, therefore, there’s also another key element to mark the difference between Mika and Mikaela, what could it be?
A demon’s mind.
Once a vampire turns into a demon, they suffer amnesia depending a lot on the circumstances they were turned into; in contrary to Mika, vampires such as Ashera, Noya, Byakkomaru, Raimeiki, Gekkouin and Kiseki-O who were turned by the First and held sanity along his memories:
Image taken from Chapter 106
Back when Mika was exploring Yuu’s inner memories, he spotted the demons that are currently sealed in their respective cursed gears; nevertheless, the demons present had their own memories, will and loyalty towards the First; which of course, such memories were temporaly blocked until the required trigger was lifted.
But, in Mika’s case, the memories he recovered were the ones he lived through his 16 years of life; there wasn’t even a trace from a distant past; and even despite him seeing Shikama Doji present, it was evident that he didn’t grreet him with a smile or with the warmness he was supposed to feel towards a parent; this is even highlighted by Shikama himself after spotting Mikaela, instead of ensuring or giving a hug; the air he gave was intimidating:
Image taken from chapter 106
But despite all these key points; Yuu’s goal stopped being focused on just giving Mika his humanity back, but rather, he is now focused on resurrecting him along his catchy phrase of resurrecting everyone, which is impossible. (For that, there’s a topic about it).
Even if the resurrection were to happen, there are some details that need to be explored.
And lastly, to give further strength to this theory, there’s just another surprise left that will be discussed in another theory, perhaps some might know about it, perhaps it has been long forgotten.
What kind of surprise will be?
What do you think dear readers?
Yes I love the gif, eheh!

Wanted to throw out some theories about Shinya and Kureto’s role in all this.
Hostages huh? This could mean a couple things. We’re given basically nothing to work with here other than the fact that Byakkomaru and Raimeiki were brought up, so it would seem that whatever Rigr has in store for Shinya and Kureto, it has to do with their demons. The question just becomes, who is Rigr going to threaten with them?
One idea is it could be The First. Feel free to chime in on this as I really can’t quite remember myself, but maybe if a demon’s human host dies, the demon either dies with them or is rendered inactive. I’d guess the later. Even without killing them, I suppose it’s possible that Shinya and Kureto could try and reduce their demons’ power like how Yoichi tried to do. In either case, by having Shinya and Kureto, Rigr could fairly easily remove Byakko and Raimei from the equation. There’s no way the First would care about Shinya and Kureto beyond that, but it appears that Byakko and Raimei are important parts of his plan.
A slight digression but, while it’s unclear exactly who’s working with who and who’s working against who, Rigr and Guren were seemingly at least somewhat working together at some point given what WR@19 tells us. It’s entirely possible that they have a shaky (possibly even unknowing on Guren’s side of things) partnership going on right now, especially because Ferid and Crowley, who we can more confidently say are working with Guren, are the ones that put Rigr in this position in the first place. Since, according to Rigr, everything is going according to plan, what Guren and crew are doing could be lining up with what Rigr wants. If that’s true, then at the moment, Rigr has all of the black demons users somewhat at his disposal. While I can’t imagine that Guren would want the black demon users to be harmed (well... Shinya at least), since this is all going according to Rigr’s plan, it’s possible Guren is just Rigr’s puppet at the moment and won’t have a say in the matter. It’s just something worth pointing out.
To get back on track, the other idea is that Rigr actually intends to threaten Byakko and Raimei themselves. Yes, the demons seemed to have turned on their human allies as we’ve kind of seen with Ashuramaru, Gekkouin, and Kiseki-o, but it’s notable that both Byakkomaru and Raimeiki seem to have more amicable relations with Shinya and Kureto respectively. Is it possible that they actually care about them? If that were the case, could it be possible that they’ll turn on The First? Maybe not, but I like to entertain the idea.
