Hello!
We're noticing more people being interested in the Raggedy Ann fandom since the Amazing Digital Circus pilot released, so we thought we'd update our masterpost on where to find more Raggedy Ann media!
Books:
The first two and most well-known books are Raggedy Ann stories (1918) and Raggedy Andy stories (1920), which are in public domain and free to read online! Camel with the Wrinkled Knees (1924) (which the movie was loosely based on!) is on Internet Archive and available to read without an account. You can find many of the other books on there as well.
Cartoons:
The 1940's has Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy (1941), Suddenly It's Spring (1944), and The Enchanted Square (1947).
You've got the 1977 Raggedy Ann & Andy: A Musical Adventure of course.
The Chuck Jones holiday TV specials: Raggedy Ann and Andy in The Great Santa Claus Caper (1978) and Raggedy Ann and Andy in The Pumpkin Who Couldn't Smile (1979).
Most episodes of The Adventures of Raggedy Ann and Andy (1988-1990) are in this playlist here, and you could probably find any missing ones on Dailymotion.
From the Target crossover we have the animated Snowden: Raggedy Ann & Andy's Adventure (1998) and the live-action ice-skating special The Snowden, Raggedy Ann and Andy Holiday Show (1998).

I've also got a playlist of all the albums I've found on YouTube or were uploaded by us, and there's many more of the older ones available on Archive. The old Will Wooden and Frank Luther ones are very charming.
Musical:
You can watch recovered archival footage of the full first production of the Raggedy Ann musical (1984), listen to the demo album (~1985), or the Broadway bootleg (1986)!
If you're interested in more, I'd recommend exploring the saved playlists on the RARE YouTube channel or the media tag on the Raggedy Ann Fandom Wiki.
We're a group of Raggedy Ann enthusiasts who got together to search for Raggedy Ann lost media (specifically the musical), but now we collect and archive all sorts of things from the franchise! this was referenced (clumsily) from that awesome photograph (below the cut) of Ivy Austin in the niche-lost-media stage musical of raggedy ann/rag-dolly.
there's a small committee here on tumblr (R.A.R.E) that has been crazily successful in recovering bits and pieces from it, including literally the entire show archived on youtube. i've been so obsessed with the animated movie (also on youtube, fully restored. omfg) and trying to find all the animation development & production bits that i can, and i just love seeing people's devotion to restoring/archiving old media like this!!

One day late but that’s okay!!! Happy third anniversary, RARE. This past year was so exciting. We’ve made amazing legal progress, all met up at Arcola, grew as a community, and had an amazing livestream to celebrate yesterday and all of our accomplishments so far! I say this often, but RARE truly changed the trajectory of my life. I’m so proud of how far we have come and so excited for what lies ahead. I love this community; it’s truly one of a kind, and the same goes for this show. I’m so happy that more and more the world is getting to see all of the love and hard work put into this project. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for RARE and all of the wonderful people I’ve met along the way. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Newest prop prototype design for RARE. Ann’s apron is made to look like a lace trimmed 1930s handkerchief, with a small amount of embroidery and scrap buttons. Her heart will be inspired by the drawing in the illustration. (Not yet completed)

Raggedy Ann Secret Santa 2023!

The Raggedy Ann Revival Effort is hosting a Raggedy Ann fandom Secret Santa this year! This is a fun, chill opportunity to connect with other fans and trade pieces of art, fanfic, or whatever you like to make! This event is a fully digital art trade, there's no sending of physical objects required.
How does it work?
1. Fill out the form below by November 28th. You’ll be able to choose between fanart, fanfic, and making gifsets/edits. After that, we'll take a couple days to sort everyone out and let everyone know who their target is on December 1st.
2. Next, you'll have all month to make your present! You'll get some ideas of the characters and media your target is interested in, but don't worry too much about what they may or may not want. It's more about the spirit! Spend however much effort is comfortable to you, it's not a competition.
3. Post your finished work by December 25th and tag your target. We'll be rebloging people's work from our social medias too so use the hashtag so we can see it!

Idk how many of you know this but there are two Raggedy Ann Mandela effects.
The first one is that Raggedy Ann often wore pigtails:
You may have seen some handmade dolls with that hairstyle but even then, Raggedy Ann almost never wore pigtails. For proof I looked it up, hardly any. This may have to do with the fact that Raggedy Ann Halloween wigs had her hair like that.
The second is that Raggedy Ann had freckles:
She never had them.
BUT! There is one offcially license doll that does have both of these features
That doll being the Lil Raggedy Ann doll from Aurora.
