Hi. So I had an egg, and it hatched, and it's a wimpod.
I have no idea how to take care of a wimpod.
Any tips. Pretty please?
- @bug-catcher-lily
Wimpod Care Tips
Tumblr media
Okay, what you need to know about Wimpod is that they are VERY skittish and will run at the first sight of danger. If you want to battle with Wimpod, you need to make sure it trusts you completely to make sure nothing bad happens to it.
Other than that, Wimpod are opportunistic scavengers and can and will steal your food, even if you keep them well fed. But I like to call what they have "the snom treatment." It's when a small bug type needs to eat a lot of food than one would think of them. So, giving them large portions for the meals is basically a requirement.
Tumblr media
(Art by MattGFX on Twitter)
Other than that, Wimpod need a place with water (no, bathtubs don't count). Depending on the variant, you will need either a freshwater or a saltwater tank. If possible, you could also make a small pond area for them in a yard.
While wimpod can usually keep themselves clean, you should still bathe them from time-time-. Make sure you get soap made specifically for them since their skin can be damaged by the soap that we use.
Wimpod live in groups in the wild because of the whole safety in numbers thing. Getting them a friend is a good idea as well.

Sewaddle Care Tips
Tumblr media
-Sewaddle are Pokemon that I would classify as high maintenance. Since Sewaddle are used to being heavily guarded and pampered by their parents, they become rather cranky when not with their trainers; especially newly hatched Sewaddle. They can also have a bit of trouble defending themselves and get scared easily. While you might feel the need to protect them from anything that might scare them, it's important to slowly introduce and get them comfortable with these things, as if they grow up completely sheltered, they'll have trouble adjusting to new situations and the world around them.
-Caring for them is a lot like caring for a newborn baby, so if you're a parent or someone who had a to ever care for a newborn, you'd probably be used to all of this stuff
-A lot of trainers find making newborn Sewaddle's leaf coats tricky, but they aren't exactly picky when it comes to them. As long as it protects them and stays on, they'll be fine.
-Please make sure to give them a lot of food. Being larvae, they need a lot to grow and if they don't, they'll start eating their leaf cloaks instead. They mostly eat shrubs and dried leaves. You don't need to provide them much water because they get most of their water from the plants they consume.
-When cleaning Sewaddle, please Sponge wash them and only fully bathe them once a week. Bathing them too much can cause their skin to become dry.
-Avoid rough play with them because they are very prone to motion sickness.
-Sewaddle very much enjoy being carried and this can help them relax.
-Unlike a lot of other bug types, Sewaddle don't mind not being in dark areas. They do fine almost anywhere as long as it isn't too hot or too cold.
-Sewaddle poop a LOT. Please clean the areas they most often stay every day!
-When they're about to evolve into Swadloon, you might notice they become hungrier and more moodier. This is completely normal for them, and isn't much for concern.

Hi!
I'm an experienced poison type specialist, and recently I thought I might get a Gengar. It's all fun and things, but I know that Gengar is also a primary ghost type, and I have no experience with them, so I have no idea how to take care of a ghost type. Is there anything important I should know?
There defiantly is. Gengar are popular, but are notoriously difficult to train. But once you get the hang of it, it's not so bad.
Gengar Care Tips
Tumblr media
-Gengar are major pranksters, which a lot of trainers find annoying. There isn't really much you can do about this, since ignoring their antics will cause them to act out more for attention, being angry will only make them think it's funny, and laughing along with them only encourages them to do it more. The best you can do is put a stop to harmful pranks, since they'll most likely stop if they realize they're hurting you.
-Gengar absolutely hate being alone, and separation anxiety can be very common with them. Theybdo provide therapists for Pokemon, but ways to help them would be to give them things to do while your gone. Like more sensory toys and stuff like that.
-When a Gengar likes you, they'll often copy and your expressions and mannerisms. This isn't them trying to mock you, but they do this as a way to understand the person and get closer to them better.
-List of berries that would be safe for them: Colbur, Persim, Shuca, Payapa, and Kasbib. But being poison types, they also like a lot of bitter foods as well.
-While I'm sure everyone is aware of the whole "Gengar steal your soul thing" this is only most common in the wild, and rarely ever happens. You don't have to worry too much about them doing that.
-Gengar very much enjoy being petted. The spikes on their back can be painful and toxic, but they can put them down to make it safe to pet.
-Please keep in mind that Gengsr are nocturnal and prefer a lot of famp and dark environments.
Tumblr media
Also, here's a post on caring for ghost types since it seems like you need it
And here's a Gengar fact post

Hi, soooo... my kid just came home with a floating sword with an eyeball and it keeps wrapping this scarf on my arm and making me feel tired. what should I do to make my tiredness stop? It's been preventing me from taking my kid anywhere we were planning to go like the library or the zoo.
Oh Ark, okay.
Is this the pokemon you're talking about?
This pokemon is called an Aegislash, a ghost/steel type pokemon that is known to use its appendages to take the souls of people.
In all honesty, you should be wary if yours is like this. If you want to keep it, you should try farming plants, since they also drain the life force of plants.

Is there a type of medication specifically for treating psyduck migraines? My psyduck Bert doesn't battle so he can't release the tension in a healthy way and I'm not sure if it'd be safe to give him human painkillers.
Yes, there is. Its an herbal medicine sold at pokemon centers. Idk much about it since I've never had to make one before, but it works very well when treating a psyduck's headache.
Tumblr media
(Also, it isn't the best idea to give them painkillers if it's not prescribed by a vet)

This isn't the same person who sent that message about athe injured espeon, but may I ask, how bad is it when an espeons head gem is damaged? Isn't that where their power comes from? And why was their espeon behaving weirdly around the sun?
Yes, Espeon get most their psychic powers from their head gem. The head gem gets powered by the sun, so Espeon that are in the sun are more powerful.
Having their head gem be damaged can gravely injure them and their psychic abilities, as well as their brain. An Espeon with a damaged gem might be more forgetful, face serious migraines, or have damaged mental health. The anon's Espeon probably knew this and was trying to face the sun so that it could try and regain some of its psychic abilities, even if it wouldn't help much.

Is it weird my Clodsire loves taking baths? She gets so excited when I turn the hose on outside or if she sees me making soap that's gentle on her skin.
No, not at all! Clodsire live near water, and having them watered is completely normal. I'd say you should do it daily if she doesn't love near any water.

Are there any eyedrop medications for meowstics?
Specifically for their erm... Uuuh... "Ear eyes???"
been bondin' with a fellow trainer, and she has a female meowstic that appears to have recently developed an infection in one of her ear eyes (I know there has to be a better term for that).
I looked at it myself, and judging from the redness and yellow discharge, I'm no "nurse joy," but yeah, this is a classic case of pink eye the poor girl has.
The trainer says she most likely caught it during a confufle with a weavile and sableye duo in a cave with a lot of dirt and sand everywhere, and she did also mention that some dirt got kicked up in that particular eye during the ordeal.
That does sound concerning, but it isnt life threatening, and she can be healed. Also, those aren't technically eyes.
You should take her to a vet where they can get her checked out. If this goes on long enough, a lot of her psychic abilities could be damaged. They'll give you a medicine that you can put in her eye ears once a day until she is healed.

Hello, yes! I'm the one who asked you about the wooper tips.
I've been battling and training Morceau and I think he may soon be ready to evolve into Clodsire.
Any tips for care?
Wooper? I don't think I had any asks wooper care tips yet... But I can still give tips on Clodsire!
Clodsire Care Tips
Tumblr media
(Art by LRED on ArtStation)
Clodsire are a popular pokemon in Paldea for how common they were as wooper and how adorable they look! But there are some things you should know as a Clodsire trainer.
One thing to be wary of is Clodsire's poisonous spines on their back. They're very deadly to humans, and trainers should be wary of them. Luckily, Clodsire mostly keeps them hidden. Unlike Quagsire, they still coat themselves in a poison that can cause a tingling or numbing sensation, and you should always handle them with gloves. Be wary, because they are knwon to be very physically affectionate, and have been known to try and cuddle their trainers without warning. Other than that, Clodsire mostly eat bugs and mud they can find. Feeding them mud is easy, and they sell Bug-bases Clodsire food at Pokemon centers. They need to eat a lot.
Clodsire are amphibious, need plenty of moisture, and need a small pond with a lot of mud in it since their skin is prone to sunburn and the mud works as a sunscreen for them, a way to keep themselves moisturized, and as a way to cool off. Please do not put them in salt water, since that can harm them.

Hey there! My friend and I are about to start on our journey, and we just caught our first Pokémon!
Which leads to my question- any tips on how we can take care of our Absol and Zorua? We really wanna make sure they’re happy and healthy!
Thx in advance :>
-Pirie @poke-mystery-pals
Well, I already have Absol care tips (which I'll link at end of post), but here are some Zorua Care Tips!
Zorua Care Tips
Tumblr media
-Zorua are really timid Pokemon and it's important to work on socializing with them to help them be less shy
-Despite their small size, Zorua need to eat 3 meals a day. Their omnivores and mostly eat woodland berries (like Oran berries, Cherri berries, Sitrus berries, Leppa berries, and Rawst berries). For meat, you can buy those at Pokemon centers. Raw eggs are also good for them
-Zorua like to play tricks on people, especially their trainers. Be prepared for them to turn into illusions around you
-Speaking of illusions, Zoru and Zoroark are very dedicated to them and will take time out of their day to practice and perfect them
-Despite their cunningness, Zorua are actually very skiddish mon and they'll run when faced with danger. This can be a problem when battling, but you can help them gain confidence over time
-Because of their timid nature, it's important to socialize them with other people and pokemon
-Unlike a lot of other foxmon, Zorua are almost always completely silent, which can make it difficult to figure out what they're feeling. Luckily, you can read their facial expressions and body behavior to see what they mean
-They pee. A lot. They can be potty trained, but it can still be annoying and be prepared to clean a lot of things out when they're still learning
-Zorua don't respond to negative punishments well and can just become scared and agitated. Only positive reinforcement will work
-They're incredibly playful and enjoy chew toys and squeaky toys. Make sure you play with them a lot!

Hey there! Semi-Experienced Trainer here. Could I maybe get some tips on how to care for a Garchomp. . . Specifically one that is considerably larger than a typical Garchomp. Please help, he is always so hungry. I'm running out of money to buy food for him.
Ah, okay
Garchomp Care Tips
Tumblr media
Before anyone does this; Make sure you are ready and experienced to have a Garchomp! Idk Anon's story, but I'm assuming they got him as a Garchomp. If you want to train one, it is a LOT better to catch them as a Gible. Garchomp are very hard to train and can be very aggressive. Other than that, if raised from a Gible, Garchomp are actually very sweet and non aggressive to those they care about.
-The entire Garchomp line prefers warm an dry climates. They really really don't like ice or cold weather. I know Garchomp live in Sinnoh, but Sinnoh has warm pockets that they reside in
-Garchomp need a large open space where they can run and fly around. While I guess you could keep them indoors, they're really big and could end up destroying a lot of things.
-Garchomp will hunt smaller pokemon they find, and will sometimes bring them as a gift to their trainer. This behavior can be trained out of them as a Gible, but if caught as a Garchomp, it's going to be a lot harder to train out
-They will bite their trainers as a way to show affection. Usually, it is very gentle, but sometimes it can cause harm. You can help them find other ways for them to show affection
-Male Garchomp tend to be more aggressive than female Garchomp and are harder to train. Please be weary of this!
-If your Garchomp is nursing, you might notice they become a lot more ageessive. Snapping, lashing out more, threatening to attack, etc. This is normal for Garchomp parents, and you should leave them to be (unless your brining them supplies)
-Garchomp shed their teeth a lot, do you'd have to do a lot of cleaning up to do
-This line is carnivorus, eating small birds and rodents, but sometimes even hunting larger mammals. Despite this, they seem to have an affinity for Yache berries
-They get very dirty from the dirt and need to be cleaned regularly. The dirt can seep under their scales which can harm them

Hi. It's me again. Asking for tips again.
Tips on how to take care of Scolipede?
-@bug-catcher-lily
Scoliopede Care Tips
Tumblr media
-A lot of people who aren't well aware of these pokemon don't realize how aggressive they can be, and how they can lash out at other people or pokemon. Despite this, Scolipede are actually very docile and friendly toward their trainers and the ones they care about.
-Scolipede need a big open space to run around and play in (2 acres being the reccomended). It's important to note that Scolipede are hunters, and will actively hunt the bird, small reptilian, and bug pokemon that are in the area. This can be avoided if they grew up with some of these pokemon, as they'll stop seeing them as food. But you should still be weary. Make sure they have an indoor area to go to when they want! Like a stable.
-Speaking of that, they are mostly carnivores and eat the pokemon listed above. Like always, you can find food specifically made for them at Pokemon centers
-Water should be kept in an easy to access place for them. For outdoor care, having a large water bowl or clean pond they can drink out of is recommended, even if their body can filter out a lot of the poisons.
-While Scolipede can handle harsh weather changes well, they can have trouble adapting to the cold and can become sleepy and sluggish because of it. They do best in moderate temperature.
-Scolipede and Centiskorch shouldn't be kept together! While a lot of pokemon can get along if they've grown up together, it's still best not to risk it!

How should I handle my Tatsugiri’s antisocial behavior?
Depends on how old the Tatsugiri is. If it's young, it would be easier to help it since their brain is still molding and developing. You could try meeting up with other Tatsugiri owners and introducing your Tatsugiri to them. Best to have these in a set toke schedule so the Tatsugiri can learn and know the times they're going to see the others. If its older, it might be harder to help with its social anxiety, but using the same tactics over and over again can work.

Can deerling live in a semi-desert environment or do they need forests? I am asking since I'm moving but i don't want to leave my friend behind. The area is mountainous, partially plains-y, and only desert in the southern part of the area. Should i buy some things to make her comfortable?
(( OOC i was trying to describe utah since unova is only the new york state area and kinda bleh))
//I need pokemon to either make 5 regions based on the 5 regions in the US, or make a full US region and give it 5 different biomes for each of the five regions
They can live there, but you should make sure that she has a lot of water, like implementing a small pond since she's a grass type. Planting a garden for her as well could also make her more comfortable.

Can I get some care tips for larvesta pls
Sirius has been fucking me up in every single way she can
Lol, sure. Seems like you need it.
Larvesta Care Tips
Tumblr media
Larvesta are aloof Pokemon and prefer to be alone most of the time, and this can reflect with their trainers.
This seems to be what's happening with Sirius. Maybe she doesn't want to be handled because she wants to be left alone. I know you obviously can't leave her alone for a whole day, and you'd have to handle her at some points. When you carry her, perhaps give her something she can distract herself with? Like toys or a snack (since Larvesta need to eat a lot).
Normally, Larvesta are calm. But if they're anything like Sirius, you could try handling them with oven Mits as a start for when you're training them not to be aggressive. To officially train them, try giving them reasonable punishments. Obviously, don't hit them, but a tiny annoying flick on the head will be fine. It doesn't hurt them, and can just be annoying. Try that any time Sirius attacks you when holding her.
But, perhaps Sirius is acting like this because she's frustrated. About what, idk. But a lot of Pokemon act this way out of changing hormones. Idk how old or how strong she is, but perhaps it could be a sign of evolution? A lot of Pokemon tend to get grumpier the closer they are to evolving. If not that, it could just be her personality. Either way, they understanding her to see why she's acting out like this
Anyways, the basic stuff. Larvesta are omnviores, eating small grass type, leaves, and berries. Ones that live in volcanoes tens to eat coal and charcoal. You can buy some of these things at the store, as well as grass type meat and seeds.
Since Larvesga live in hot climates, they might wander to your fireplace and even sit in them just for the warmth. They can also do pretty well in cold weather compared to most other bug or fire types.

could I get some care tips for ceruledge? I think I’m doing something wrong here…
- @withoutatrace-pkmn
Ceruledge Care Tips
Tumblr media
Ceruledge are very independent and self sufficient Pokemon. But they are also powerful and don't want to listen to unworthy trainers. Because of this, it's best to catch them when they're a charcadet. Other than that, Ceruledge are very loyal Pokemon and will protect their trainers with all of their might.
Like Charcadet, Ceruledge prefer fatty foods with high nutrients. Unlike a lot of other fire types, they don't mind eating their food raw, but that only counts for fish and berries. When feeding them non-fish meat, you should cook them. They also really like Smoliv and Dolliv oil.
Ceruledge are very meticulous of their armor, so they end up cleaning it often. Washing them is fine, as long as you avoid the flame on their head and the flames on their sword.
Wild Ceruledge are Noctournal, and tend to be more awake at night even if they tend to go to sleel at that time, so it's important to establish a healthy sleep schedule with yours, so they're not tired all the time. Letting them take naps is important. Ik a lot of people have stigmas against naps, but this is about your pokemom here.
About their blades, it's best to be careful with those. Ceruledge will make sure to keep their blades away from their trainers, but accidents do happen. I'd suggest keeping burn heals with you, just in case.
I hope these help. Obviously I don't know your situation, so I don't really know if you're doing anything wrong. But I hope you were able to get some advice out of this. Good luck, trainer! 👋
