The constant holier than thou 'the entire community should cater to me personally' schtick. It's been around forever, it's why this site got such a reputation for superfluous application of cancel culture, but I've noticed it seems to have risen from the dead lately.

People who think others should only write content that appeals to to their own lifestyle, people who think going into a collaborative hobby without regard for the limits or problems of their followers makes them a superior being, people who don't understand why some people might not be comfortable with all facets of a canon or even fanon, couching misogyny and biphobia in alleged support of other communities...

These are just examples I have seen more than once. Members of my community taking it for a personal attack if people write romantic/sexual dynamics or discuss their own personal lives on the dash. Those who believe that because they do not tag triggers or in any way 'cater' to the audience they expect to interact with they're somehow the ones victimized when people curate their experiences away from them. I've caught so much Hell just for saying I don't care for a major franchise and find the writing of canon stale at best and genuinely insulting at worst, and I am not the only one. People who believe all M/F is het and thus inferior, because like, why would an amazing awesome man ever want to stick his dick an inferior pussy?

I think too many people on this site have a stick up their ass about things that, and I say this with all due respect, do not matter outside of their own comfort. Unless the content is being written to actively harm, unless it is problematic content that out and out reflects the hateful or harmful beliefs of its author, unless people are genuinely at risk because the content exists, then block and move on. You should always block and move on if the content is anything less than that, and by the same card, stop acting so surprised if other people block and move on if you act like a self-righteous dickhead for forgetting this is a collaborative hobby that takes partners and their myriad views/experiences/comfort into account.

Prom night. They’d survived the actual dance (though just barely), and now it was time for the afterparty. Sam had already talked about it with her mother - it was basically an open secret. Miguel would have her home before midnight, but there would be no calls from Dad, no offers to drive her home (unless she asked), and no questions. Not that Sam was planning to do anything untoward. A little supervised drinking never killed anyone.

But the afterparty was at Stingray’s, which meant the place would be crawling with Cobra Kai students who claimed to have shed their skins for the night to put on fancy dresses and tightly-fitting tuxes, and maybe, just maybe they’d leave the karate drama on the mat.

Then Tory and Robby had to go and show up looking like... that.

The party was crowded and the house was spacious enough, but it was as if the blonde was circling her like a shark. "you  don't  have  to  be  training,  you  know  that  right?  the  dojo  is  closed  for  the  summer."  the  remaining  of  it  anyways.  school  is  begining  at  any  minute  now  and  that  meant  senior  year  for  the  kids  and  preparations  for  the  sekai  takai.  tory  has  improved  a  lot.  not  just  on  technique  but  mentally,  which  to  him,  is  the  best  achievement  one  can  tell  another.  but  he  knows  that  with  senior  year,  and  the  tournament,  things  are  bound  to  become  a  little  messy.

As with many a mun, I will not turn my nose up towards a good romantic dynamic. Likewise, as someone on the ace spectrum, I cherish friendships between muses, especially really deep and profound ones that challenge that romance is the ideal dynamic in a person's life.

But for my money, every time, give me a family dynamic. It's a trope that sends me into a frothing obsession every time, like I almost literally black out for a moment when the connection hits. I think it started back in the day with my OC Julia and her slowburn found family dynamic with the canon character Yuri, but playing Hel afterwards and getting to define her bonds, as complicated as they were, with her family was. I am in a swoon of delight just thinking about it.

Family dynamics, blood or found or adopted or otherwise. I'm about it. Give them to me.

Loyalties had been shifting ever since they leaked the footage of the cheating. some had left cobra kai, not that there was much to be a part of anymore with Silver locked away. It's what brought her to tory's doorstep in the first place, a need to know exactly what her plan was. Miyagi-Do doesn't discriminate when it comes to who they let in, so it seems like Tory's going to get whatever she wants this time. "Do you know what you're going to do with the Sekai Taikai? Is Cobra Kai even still registered with everything that's happened?"

Sometimes,  Brandon  is  upset.  He  can't  really  explain  himself  better  at  it  than  just,  upset.  Life  had  been  difficult,  that  much  he  knows,  with  his  mom  sick  and  the  men  in  his  life  that  came  and  went  and  Tory  never  being  there.  Like,  he  gets  it,  he  is  not  stupid.  Someone  had  to  be  there  for  him  but  it  felt  like  she  did  things  for  him  and  not  with  him,  and  of  course,  he  felt  weird  about  being  upset  about  it.  

The  new  place  is  nice  and  all,  and  he  likes  Mr.  LaRusso,  he  was  cool  and  had  a  cool  pond  with  fishes  that  kissed  his  feet  when  he  puts  them  there  and  at  least  he  had  a  place  to  run  and  do  cartwheels.  "I  know  we  had  pizza  last  night  but  can  we  have  some  more  tonight?  It's  late,  and  I  know  you  hate  to  cook  when  it's  so  late."  Brandon  points  out,  feet  on  the  pond  as  he  looks  over  at  Tory.  She  looks  good,  for  a  girl,  and  the  boy  simply  has  to  speak  up  again  and  tease.  "You  were  with  Robby,  right?  You  have  that  look  on  your  face."  He  makes  a  fake  gagging  gesture,  eyes  looking  up  at  her.  "The  Robby  look."
