literally how are there people who accomplish anything with (h)EDS? i've had it for 27 fucking years and i've yet to figure out how to get it the fuck under control.
every time i think i've got a fucking handle on it some other fucking organ system has a meltdown and i'm knocked on my fucking ass again
if the pain is manageable then the dysautonomia acts up and if that's under control then i have some type of psych problem and if if it's not that then it's GI and if that's fine then i get some fucking one-off random infection or some shit and around and around we fucking go
like does it ever fucking end?? is there ever going to be a point when i can take a fucking breather??
like it's not like i'm not doing everything i can to fucking manage it. i see half a dozen fucking doctors. i'm on a dozen meds and vitamins. i see a rehab specialist every 2 weeks. i go to PT every week. i'm eating healthy. i'm exercising. i'm reducing stress as much as i can.
like what the fuck do you want from me????

to be fair i don't actually know when they sent the messages
tumblr mobile only just notified me that i got asks, but they're date stamped from the beginning of january... and then bestie still has me blocked and the asks don't show up on desktop? so they could actually be old
however, it would not surprise me if they weren't old and the fact that they sent me a message to say "i wouldn't have told you to kill yourself if only you just hadn't made fun of me for picking a fight on your post" annoyed me enough that i decided to address it regardless of when it was actually sent

bestie sent me these, despite still having me blocked (do they... understand the point of the block feature?), and for some reason they suddenly showed up on mobile today, but i still can't see them on desktop
Anywho, final word on this:
My brother in Christ, if you have me blocked I cannot (usually) see anything you send me and cannot respond to your messages/posts/etc.
Also: you have the reading comprehension of a gnat.
No one has a problem with you ~having a dissenting opinion~ (even though you apparently don't seeing as you reblogged my post about a month prior to complaining about it, without comment, indicating you liked time units barely 30 days beforehand 🙃) The problem is you decided to be an asshat on a post specifically designed for people minding their own business who clearly like the time units... because you wanted to be an asshole? Wanted to pick a fight? Wanted attention? idfk
That said, if you continue to double down on being a complete douchebag and tear your hair out over some internet discourse and throw around vulgar, wildly over-the-top insults... yeah people are going to make fun of you? You're an (allegedly) grown adult throwing a tantrum like fucking toddler.
Finally, if you tell someone to kill themselves—honestly regardless of any situation, I don't fucking care what the context is—but particularly because they called you an asshole when you started a fight on a purely positive fandom post, you are unequivocally in the wrong.
Yeah, the knee-jerk reaction to getting called out would be to rationalize your actions to prove you're "in the right", but you're not. A sliver of self awareness and social intelligence would dictate that you say "yeah you know what I was in a bad mood sorry".
Every time you try to ~defend~ yourself and tie yourself in knots attempting to spin the situation differently you look like a fucking moron.
You're not fooling anyone.
No one agrees with you.
Half a dozen people went out of their way to message me specifically to say you're fucking unhinged.

Do some self evaluation—your life will be better for it.

Hey disabled folks! Here’s your reminder to advocate for yourselves no matter how difficult!
Because...
18 months after being fired from a job where I was treated horribly and my requests for disability accommodations were ignored, leading to a severe deterioration of my condition (horrific pain, multiple emergency room visits, countless doctor’s appointments, and 4 months of twice-a-week physical therapy)...
11 months after filing a disability discrimination complaint with the state government...
And 10 full months of continuous back-and-forth legalese where I was forced to drudge up evidence of how I was mistreated, listen to the company’s various attempts to character-assassinate me, and spend quite a few nights wondering if it was all worth it...
I finally got the ruling of PROBABLE CAUSE, which moves my case to a settlement or a public hearing.
And now the wretched, ableist scumbag who trampled all over my rights and health for over a month has been caught red-handed and is now officially responsible for her company forking out thousands of dollars to me and/or dragging its name through the mud in a public forum.
Let me tell you: VICTORY IS SWEET and worth every minute of the battle to get there.

well. been out 4 days from work with a nasty GI infection or virus or whatever and don’t have any sick days left. and just when i was like “guess we’ll have to eat nothing but bread next week” my old job finally paid out my quarantine leave from december so i guess the universe really does even things out sometimes
