#lore tidbit! the plot is not available for purchase #the building is only Technically abandoned. its still very much Owned private property!#actually ive been thinking about the Other side of this au. the people's perspective #cause in this au at least they all Knew the puppets were alive #many employees - especially the ones working 'closest' to the puppets - put up a huge fight when the show got canceled #but it was either Disassemble (kill) Them or Lock Them Away #and honestly? killing the neighbors would've been somewhat of a mercy #but the employees had no way of knowing just how Bad things would get #wh lights out au #scribble salad #and i mean. the building's electricity bill remains paid.#the employees that felt really bad kept it paid over the years - devoting a bit of their income each to it #thinking the puppets would a) be awake & b) be able to figure it out #yeah that's actually a lil fun tragic tidbit as well - if any of the puppets had found the breaker....#or found it and Messed with it a lil... flipped the right switch...#they would've gotten the lights back on no problem #but yeah anyway ive been Thinking about the employees' side of things a lot #might tie that in with act two. it'd make sense considering the shit that happens #well either they'd help the puppets out or they'd get shoved into one of the sinkholes by barnaby. so.#bc if we're talkin seriously here. the puppets are more likely to kill a person than worship them for any reason #they'd go full 'THREAT!! It's time for machine comforts. Comforts we can't understand, or experience. Let them be happy, let them be at peace with their body.

Does a breath of cool water feel nice on their systems? When it's quiet do they listen to their own heart and feel the electricity pulsing? Does it remind them that they are alive and a part of this world? Do they have dreams? Hopes and projects they wish to work on, hobbies?

Why get off the string into the harsh and deadly world, fighting for survival and losing everything they've ever known to love about themselves?

What about the safety of their bodies? How scary would it be for a machine with thousands, maybe millions of throughs to suddenly have just a handful. The horror of everything going silent.

They have hundreds of eyes to see the world for all its beauty, they capture moments that would otherwise go unseen. Why blind themselves of such things?

I can't help but think that Crime Puppets Frank has some decent muscle mass. Like some strength must be needed in order to subdue, drag around, and kill people. (Also, Eddie going redder than a tomato when he sees how toned Frank is under that sweater vest makes me giggle.)

Oh I’ve thought about it MANY times, believe me 😂 A bunch of of them are pretty damn strong as it is! Frank and Wally both are, Barnaby and Eddie are both strong as hell (ESPECIALLY barnably, he’s insanely fuckin strong) but squishy, Sally’s fit too. Poppy and Julie not so much, and Howdy- I am so sorry y’all- is just insanely lanky 😂

So now that Roslyn 's birthday is over I can show everyone what I worked on recently~

Meet Tiebold, my first ever puppet build. He had his first out of cave debut at Roz's 40th last night and though he was scared he made lots of new friends! He may have big teef but they're for eating mostly fruit. 🦇

He's still a work in progress, I made him in 2 days so he is still going to get more upgrades like some snazzy claws and body work.

Also he was so voracious ripping the paper in pass the parcel he lost his first fang, so I will be giving him a dental to put it back in ehehe~

Thank you to everyone who interacted with Tiebold, he got many ear scritches and chin rubs and snoot boops! He was happily bopping along to the wonderful live performances and sniffing people who came over to meet him and it was magical.

Tiebold was made with all opshopped materials and stuff I had lying around the house because I wanted to stay true to the spirit of Roz's creativity built from recycling trash into treasure. Tiebold is truly a love letter to the inspiration and support as an artist Roz has given me over all the years of knowing her, it is such a powerful thing to stoke peoples' creative fires the way she does and that's why Tiebold was brought to life ✨️

I wasn’t going to comment on the @wearewatcher situation because if people don’t know how to run a business/listen to their very supportive fan base, then that’s their cross to bear.

However, to everyone making the comments that artists can charge what they want and deserve to be fairly compensated for their work

1) they’re being fairly compensated, they simply expanded their business model (ie hiring more people) before their revenue could support it and are now acting as though their business was never generating enough and it’s the fans fault for not subscribing to a Patreon that they had almost zero advertising for

2) art is a luxury. Period. Full stop. No one needs Watcher content to survive, especially in the current economic climate and to act as though they’re doing us a favor by making it only $6 a month is really tone deaf and out of touch

3) you can set your prices at whatever you feel is fair. And the consumer can decide if they think your content is worth the set price. If they say, hey I’m not paying $6 for this, then that’s all there is. Art is worth what someone will pay for it

4) the fundamental misunderstanding of what their fan base is wanting/cares about just goes to show that it was never about fostering a community, it was only ever about doing what they wanted, and if the community turns on them, then that’s something they should have been able to anticipate

5) we don’t know these people. They’re grown men, no one is being held hostage. No one is being forced. They all agreed to do this, and if it tanks their careers. Well, that’s the price of doing business

I for one will not be supporting this move, and will not be consuming the content left on YouTube as it will still generate them revenue

You can do what feels right to you

Just had the sleep-deprived idea of combining my Cryptid Batfam Au with @phoenixcatch7 's Possessed Doll Au into a combo au, some distant timeline where the two combine and meld into one thing.

Honestly would be slightly body horror probably, maybe with Bruce starting with building wings and then it... escalates. There's a reason that people don't go down in the caves under Gotham, and Bruce is incredibly lucky that It welcomes him. Perhaps welcomes him too much, what with it seeming to build him another body each time he gets injured, even if it's just bruising. Not to mention that another is forming when he takes Dick in, and then another when Barbara joins them.

There's something not quite the same the first time he wakes up in a body that is his but not, something organic but not. Testing on it is fine, small tests that is, anything larger and his head starts to pound and ring. It's easier to just accept the shadows' gifts than question it.

Honestly I like to think the body is something between inorganic and organic, like veins of flesh and fur wrapped around bones and metal. Like a flesh puppet of sorts, starts all skeletal and mostly metal and wood but the veins of black and red start to grow over time as the whispers about the Bat spread.

Honestly I also like to think it's more animalistic than the original possessed doll au, the wood easily mistaken for things like chitin, especially with the segmentations. Combine the chest cavity with the harness that the kids cling to, and you have a back cavity lol. The 'Spine' seemingly splitting open to hide things inside. Bruce probably does have clothing for the body, but I wanted to figure out the general body first lol.
