We seriously needed Layton and the Masked Gentleman to sword fight near the end of the game. It would've rounded out the story and come full circle from Layton's past! Could you imagine?!
So, I drew it and had a lot of fun with this piece
Alright now i've finished Azran Legacy, so i feel like i can finally make a side blog for Layton stuff so i can post about it without feeling like im bothering people on my main one lmao
Just gonna dump all my recent art here (warning for spoilers for Unwound Future and Miracle Mask sort of)
And then this Clive i drew after having watched someone play through Unwound Future and realizing Clive is so much worse of a person than what i remembered from playing it when i was younger lmao
+ old art of him i made from around 5 or 6 years ago, you can probably still find it on the Layton amino somewhere lol
I'm glad i finally played through the prequel trilogy, because for some reason i just never got around to that back when i was really into the series, AND despite having owned a copy of Miracle Mask for like 3 years since i found it at a con for very cheap
I almost forgot about the last day!! fjdhfd SO I went with Nils, I really liked him! His design is super cute and I loved all his almost snarky commentary and smarts about the goings on in Monte d'Or... and it's lacklustre police force haha. I just thought he was a lot of fun - and maybe kind of ripping off Henry's fashion sense jdhfsjdf
Curious village: multimillionaire dies and locks his daughter in an attic to be raised by robots in total isolation until someone solves this puzzle
Diabolical box: come freely, go safely, and beware of the hot twink and his hallucinogenic gas
Unwound future: losing every person you ever cared about doesn't necessarily turn you evil, the Luke cosplayer who built an exact copy of London under normal London was an outlier adn should not have been counted
Last specter: local man allows his uni friend to take his son on a dangerous hunt to find a real life monster that's destroying their town
Miracle mask: queer coded villain turns some amnesiac guy into another queer coded villain cause they both have beef with this one archaeology professor in particular
Azran legacy: there's a lesson about progress at all costs here somewhere but we're also trying to kidnap a magical zombie girl back from the archaeology mafia and wait why am I crying
