Daigo strolled into the master bedroom leisurely. He removed the tie from his hair and shook out his messy locks. The assassin took off his rings and earrings almost mechanically — he was searching the room, though it became quickly apparent that the individual he sought was not here. Daigo frowned thoughtfully and stepped toward the attached bathroom. Near the door, he heard the sound of flowing water.
Ah ! The assassin smiled and entered shoulder - first. There she was : the darkness that haunted his life ; the enchantress who had stolen his soul ; and the ( beloved ) mother of many fearsome palm - sized monstrosities.
Daigo stood for a moment, admiring the witch. She was reclining in the bath, likely to alleviate some of the discomfort in her back. The water stopped directly beneath her breasts. Occasionally, the top of her belly broke through. Her husband sighed adoringly at the sight of her. There was no creature in this horrible world that could possibly compare to her beauty, especially when Melissa carried their children. Pregnancy seemed to transform her in Daigo's eyes, and he grew ravenous at even glimpses of her changing body. This time, it was worse ; the gifted twin witches of this generation brewing in Melissa's womb had given his wife an almost otherworldly aura. Late at night, he swore she glowed, like soft moonlight spilling over their sheets.
Once he had drank his fill of this view, the assassin approached her, footsteps surprisingly light for a man of his size. He stopped at the edge of the tub and reached for her closest hand. Daigo peppered it with kisses. His black eyes reflected the glimmer of the candlelight over the bathwater as he stared down at her.
"You drive me mad, Melissa," he murmured into her smooth skin. Daigo grinned, coarse fingers stroking her captured limb. Unashamedly, he raked his gaze over her body, paying special attention to her chest and stomach. "How are you feeling ??"
As he waited for her reply, he pressed his lips to each of her knuckles. It was clear that Daigo could spend the rest of his days lavishing her with attention and be perfectly content.

i don't like pregnancy announcements where its
"uh Oh LoOkS LikE im #PREGGERZ! Rip to AlL mY freETiME my MoNEy ANd MY SleEp LMAO!🤣🤪"
i feel sorry for your kids, coz it seems like you really really don't want them...

i think i have tokophobia (the fear of pregnancy). i know that’s totally random, and i normally wouldn’t even say anything about it because it’s not important. i’m not sexually active, i don’t have a partner, and i don’t plan on having one any time soon. but when i’m sitting in the bathroom crying over it on easter because i got too emotional and, frankly, repulsed by reading something i chose to read because i was upset by the midwife “verifying” mary’s virginity after jesus’ birth? i feel like i might need to vent after that one.
i hate being in english class and hearing the teacher talk about all the same shit she always does. she loves being a mother, and that’s wonderful for her, but i’m about to gag thinking about it. i hate my body the way it is, and i sure as hell don’t need it getting any worse. i know i might want kids someday. i fully accept that as a possibility. but if i’m still nearly incapable of typing the words “giving birth” or “pregnancy” in relation to myself? there’s no fucking way. adoption. that’s all i can do.

( whisper ) : sender shares a secret with receiver (Azumi learns the queen is expecting the first heir before anyone else :D)
❛ ❤ ⋯
It wasn't until the afternoon came that Okamura was able to leave the grand hall. Satisfied that the royal household could run itself for a moment, the blonde gathered up her notes regarding the Queen's schedule. She left in search of the monarch, who was taking tea in one of the comfortable rooms that overlooked the palace's gardens.
Noting the lack of servants within ( merely guards at the door ), Okamura did not stop to curtsy or offer the proper polite greeting to the Queen. Instead, she patted the seated brunette on the shoulder affectionately and moved to look out the large windows. Beau followed her, nose pressed to the glass. Melissa chuckled as she lowered her cup.
"I didn't hear you announced," the older woman teased.
Okamura turned from her place, a hand pressed to her chest in mock offense. "Monaka, I am wounded. You know I always follow decorum." As if to highlight her point, the noblewoman unceremoniously set her papers in front of the Queen, tucked a stray bit of hair behind Melissa's ear, and claimed the seat next to her. Fascinated by a flock of birds on the lawn, Beau elected to stay behind, growling softly.
"Well, it does work in my favor," Melissa acknowledged, setting her drink to the side. Her smile deepened. "I was about to send someone for you."
The Head of the Household raised a brow. "Your schedule, I trust," the blonde mused, nodding toward the pages. "It is all there."
Melissa shook her head. She waited for her companion to finish pouring her tea. After, the Queen leaned forward and grabbed her hands. Okamura immediately gave the brunette her undivided attention, head tilted to the side curiously.
"Monaka ??" she murmured. "Are you alright ??"
"I am better than," Melissa answered, eyes sparkling in the ever - shifting sunlight. "I have been sitting here thinking. Who to tell, where to even begin . . . it finally struck me that it must be you. Before anyone. — and then you come in, practically summoned by the Goddess."
"Tell what ??" Okamura breathed, studying her dearest friend with an unblinking stare. "Melissa, are you — ??"
The Queen squeezed Okamura's fingers. "I am," she replied. "It's happened, Azumi : I'm expecting. I had it confirmed this morning."
Okamura gasped. As that girlish noise left her, the blonde propelled herself forward. She wrapped her arms around the Queen, effectively dragging the older woman into a tight hug, and buried her head in Melissa's shoulder. It was an almost uncharacteristic display to any outsider — most inhabitants of the palace would think the blonde unwell were they to see — but the Queen knew better. Throughout most of their lives, it had been the two of them ; as far as they were concerned, they were each other's family. Melissa recalled having a similarly exuberant and emotional reaction to hearing the news that Okamura was carrying her daughters ( who were now a pair of sweet three - year - olds ).
For a few minutes, the two companions held fast to one another, soaking in the warmth of the day, sweet birdsong, and fantastic joy shared between them. It wasn't until Beau snarled at a chipmunk near the window that Okamura stirred.
The noblewoman shifted back, reached for her seat, and dragged it closer to Melissa. She stopped when their knees touched, fingers finding the Queen's again. Okamura's cheeks were dusted pink, flushed with her excitement.
"Have you felt it move yet ??" she asked.
Melissa instinctively withdrew one of her hands and pressed a palm to her middle, cradling it through her gown. "No, Azumi, I don't think so. The healers were stupefied that I even suspected. My breasts have been sore, but I think I may have only missed one bleeding."
The brunette's brows drew together thoughtfully. "It was . . . I simply knew. Daigo left for the islands yesterday. I went walking later. There was a point where I placed a hand on my stomach and thought ' we will both miss him. ' It was as if . . . " Melissa laughed, shaking her head. "I sound mad, Azumi. Regardless, Daigo and I were successful, and I carry our heir."
Okamura grinned. "He will be in Koutetsujima for a full month, won't he ?? Do you intend to write and tell him ??"
Melissa sat back in her chair. "I do not," she replied. "Were I to send word with the next ship, he would swim back. He is needed there ; the baby and I will steal him away once he is here with us."
"You are right," the blonde said. She picked up her cup and glanced at Melissa over the rim. "I will say nothing, of course — until His Royal Highness knows." Okamura took a long swig of tea and placed it onto the saucer neatly. A dreamy sigh left her lips. "Monaka, I am . . . so pleased for you. Know that I will be here with you, from the beginning to the birth ; you have my word."
The Queen's expression softened. "I know, Azumi, and I am very grateful."
Okamura settled into her seat, tapping a fingertip against the arm. "Also, I can tell you everything that they will not. We shall have to bring in good cobblers to resize your shoes. None of them will fit after the baby. — and there is the matter of the bosom. You will be bursting out of your dresses or suffocate in your corsets unless your gowns are all altered."
Melissa coughed into her tea at the visuals that sprang to mind as a result of her lady's rather colorful commentary. Okamura's lips curved into a playful smile. "Too honest ??" the noblewoman asked.
"Please, Azumi, do not change a thing," the Queen replied with clear amusement, clearing her throat.

because these things have been going through my head lately and I wanted to write them down for fun. also because I love to annoy @xxj0kerxx
just a few things I have in mind for hyesung.
studies 24/7
is popular in school & has lots of "friends"
barely goes out while living with their parents but that changes once she moves in with hyekyung. ' assignments after school '
eventually develops atychiphobia once she leaves high school and enters yonsei, studies abroad at Harvard for 2 years
cannot have anything less than 100% on her assignments and homework, everything else will make it worse
forgets to eat at times
cannot cook besides ramyeon
but knows how to play the violin and piano since the age of four
can speak English, Japanese, Chinese, French and German fluently
has expensive taste and the older she grows she values money over love, career over relationships
only wears expensive brands because that's what her parents did to her as a kid and it just became a habit.
usually gets what she wants, if not she'll be dramatic and will block you
minsoo and her dad are the only men that never disappoint her.
most likely only with older men who have money but sees all the gifts as love and gets broken when she finds out she is just a benefit for a man who's wife is currently pregnant gotta get some pain in there
lots of pressure on her for making money and being perfect. will not allow failure and tries to pay back her parents with allowance
thus she's a workaholic, barely takes vacation time until forced to take it
so not a teamplayer.
will judge people by their looks and academic results once she graduates and takes part in interviews
probably suffers from a big burn out at the age of like 32 because she does not accept help from others
a spoiled brat eventually, becoming less of a human being herself
complete opposite of her sister but no matter how she changes, she'll always be her true self around her.

Daigo's time off the grid had been complicated for Melissa - particularly where she had to play pretend and feign ignorance to her husband's strategies in relation to the Tojo and other negotiations involving different yakuza groups away from Kanto. Of course she knew where the chairman was and the overall idea of the plan he had set in motion - but by now, the first lady (even if temporarily removed from that role given Daigo's absence) knew how to fool the usual police inspector at her door.
However, that time away where Melissa was mostly cared for by Daigo's personal staff and stayed off the clan headquarters had given her some time at home to focus on other things - including her sudden physical changes to smells she had been previously fine with, not to mention the sudden bursts of tiredness. The brunette knew what these meant - having Kazuya already helped her navigate the signs, and the weeks without Daigo at home had her enlisting the help of private doctors trusted by the yakuza and a few other ingredients for a surprise.
Luckily, the chairman returned home in time for Valentine's Day - even if things were still settling down and being organized on his end with the resurgence of his trusted advisors. The fact that Melissa's first trimester was over gave her added emotional stability to hide the obvious things from him until that evening, when the chairman came home to find a box neatly wrapped and decorated on the top of their kitchen counter.
The Tojo leader knew what it meant - they had been together for years, after all, and even as hostess Melissa had gone through the trouble of making him chocolate from scratch, even if her success rate improved with experience. What was new for that year, however, was the curious message the chocolate spelled out - rather than little hearts or baseballs or references to things Daigo enjoyed, Melissa had worked with Japanese letters, creating a small message that just read 'there will be four of us'.
Chuckling softly and sliding beside her husband, Melissa clung to one of his arms, easing herself into his figure like the protector he had always been towards her. Looking at her own handiwork before raising her head to find his face, the brunette pressed a soft kiss to the corner of Daigo's lips and sustained her husband's very moved gaze with endless affection.
"A girl. Your mom was sure of it because of morning cravings, but so are the doctors," Melissa chuckled, inhaling softly, "A summer baby, anata, in this family of winter-born souls. Happy Valentine's Day, sweetheart."
UNSCRIPTED / always accepting.

★. ―
Daigo left the Clan's headquarters as early as he could that day. He stopped for a bouquet of fresh flowers on his way home — something simple, beautiful, and fragrant. Many of the blooms were pink, and the gentle color reminded him of his wife. Daigo knew that Melissa never expected anything, given that they tended to follow very Japanese traditions with Valentine's Day and subsequently White Day, but he still enjoyed giving her a present to celebrate.
The Chairman stepped into their home with a thoughtful frown. His shoes were traded for slippers ; both his jacket and briefcase he stashed stored near the door. As the Clan car pulled away, the yakuza sighed. He scratched mindlessly at the stubble growing in on his chin. It was not nearly thick enough for him yet, and Daigo wasn't fond of how it clashed with his tanned skin.
His appearance would return to normal in time, he knew, but that didn't make the reflection he saw every morning any less ugly.
Daigo sniffed. In response to the smell of Melissa's homemade chocolates, a wide smile split his face. She had mastered the art of making them, as far as he was concerned, and he always looked forward to the treats. The yakuza followed his nose to the kitchen, where Melissa sat the table with tea. He was surprised to see that it wasn't coffee — but then he remembered. His wife had mentioned that she cut back on caffeine while he was away, as it made her nights full of worry even shorter.
The Chairman patted the little box on the counter with excitement. At Melissa's gesture, he unwrapped it and lifted the lid. Daigo laid the flowers on the counter, mouth hovering open. He wanted to say thank you, of course, but those simple words were tangled up in the questions he had about the message inside. Daigo's brow furrowed, and he placed his hands on either side of the box.
Melissa stifled a chuckle and stood. She left her beverage behind and approached him, unable to help her grin. It was like watching the gears of an old clock grind together. Daigo studied the chocolates intently — tick, tick, tick — and then, suddenly, it struck him. His black eyes widened ; the yakuza looked over at Melissa's middle. At that, the Tojo Clan's first lady had to laugh.
She snuggled into his arm. Daigo instinctually wrapped it around her and pulled her against his side. Instead of placing his fingers on her hip, where he often put them, he moved them higher. They sat on the side of her stomach gingerly.
The Chairman was too shocked to speak. Melissa's quiet kiss confirmed it for him in a way that he couldn't explain. Daigo gasped slightly at the reveal of the baby's sex.
"You're . . . pregnant," he finally said, the smile returning to his features.
Melissa nodded. She reached up and placed her palm on his cheek. "A girl, Daigo," the first lady whispered, knowing that the repeated information would simply help it all sink in.
Daigo sprang back to life then. He turned Melissa in his grasp without warning and boosted her up onto the counter next to their holiday gifts. To her credit, his wife didn't issue any noise of protest ( though she was quick to lace her arms around Daigo's neck ). Melissa giggled from her perch. The yakuza pressed his lips to hers. Meanwhile, his scarred hands lifted her shirt ; once their embrace was through, he bent down to kiss her belly. For a moment, he fancied that it was firmer.
Melissa sighed adoringly and ran her fingers through his shaggy hair while he introduced himself to their second child. It appeared that the nervousness he felt with her first pregnancy hadn't sank in yet. Of course, in the morning, she would not be allowed to move a chair without him fretting. Melissa knew it would drive her mad — but it was sweet.
Daigo eventually tucked her clothing into place. He reached over for the flowers and presented them to Melissa. The yakuza's normally stern expression was so tender as he gazed at her. A few traitorous tears clung to his thick lashes.
"I didn't know the color would fit your announcement," he said, sniffling. Daigo turned his head abruptly to wipe his eyes on the shoulder of his suit jacket, but Melissa stopped him. She drew the pads of her thumb beneath those breath - taking irises and murmured soothingly. Once she was satisfied with her work, she took the bouquet from him.
"This is your first Valentine's Day as a father of two," Melissa intoned, stroking his jaw. "I can't wait for you to meet her, sweetheart."

@guideoftime asked: 71. one muse discovers they are pregnant by accident ( no regrets ) 100 indulgent tropes
“The Princess has been sick all morning.”
She hears the whisper from outside the bathroom door as the two maids try (poorly) to keep their voices down. Their words, however, were incorrect. In truth, she’d been sick since the night prior, overtaken with waves of nausea that would occur every so often. She’d hoped it was a stomach bug that would subside in the morning, but mercy seemed to show her no favor. When the maids arrived to wake her so she could begin getting ready that morning, the vicious cycle began all over again, and Zelda had all but locked herself in the bathroom.
Whatever this was, she hadn’t felt this ill in years.
“She hasn’t come out of the bathroom since she first locked herself in there. She is complaining of a headache and asks that she be left alone to rest.”
Goddesses, if they were trying to talk about her without her hearing, they were doing a pathetic job. Her head was pounding, and hearing the two women gab about her wasn’t doing the royal any favors.
Closing her eyes, Zelda did everything in her power to muster up the energy to rise to her feet, the pounding in her head intensifying as she stood. Slowly did she make her way to the door, reaching for the handle just as there was a light rapping.
“Your Highness—“
That was Lucia, an older woman that had spent the most time in the castle of all the maids, having even been around to take care of Zelda’s mother when the queen was still alive. Without hesitation, she pulled the bathroom door open, revealing a heightened level of concern that marred the older woman’s face as she looked the Princess of Hyrule over. “You look exhausted. Let us get you to bed, and I will have one of the other girls run down to the kitchen to fetch your breakfast—“
“I am not hungry.” She hadn’t meant to be rude and interrupt, but the idea of eating right now was absolutely repulsive. Not even her usual favorites or a morning cup of tea sounded appealing. No, the only thing she wanted now was to crawl back into bed and sleep off this sickness (until her body would undoubtedly awaken her to expel whatever contents might still remain in her stomach).
“But, Princess, you must eat! Food will be vital to providing your body enough strength to fight off whatever plague—“
“I am not hungry.” The words were curt, leaving no room for debate as Lucia slowly gave a nod of understanding, having learned in her years when to pick and choose her battles. “Well if nothing more you will need to stay hydrated. I will have Alis bring up a pitcher of water. In the meantime, back to bed with you.”
To that, Zelda would not object. Just as Lucia had learned when to bite her tongue and pick her battles, she had learned when to compromise. Slowly did the maiden crawl back into the large bed, wincing as she drew the duvet over her breasts (when had they become so tender?) while Lucia moved to the windows to draw the curtains shut and block out the bright light that agitated Zelda’s already pounding head.
“Farore above, this is some sickness! I have not seen someone this sick since your mother was pregnant with you…”
It was an offhanded comment, muttered mostly to herself (with a hint of frustration because the princess was being so stubborn), but the statement stuck with the maiden. Pregnant. It was a word that left her mouth dry, the nausea rising once again and clawing at her throat as she quickly pushed herself up to a sitting position, eyes wide while Lucia went about her business.
When was her last menses? She pushed past the pounding in her head to seek the answer, desperately needing to know. Wait! Yes! It had been the start of last month after Sheik returned from being in Termina for a week on the court's behalf.
Except…
Tumblr media
That hadn’t been last month. No, Sheik had returned, left for Termina again, and then been home, without leave, for well over a month now. Which meant it had been the month prior. She hadn’t had her cycle in....seven weeks? Eight? Goddesses, how had she not noticed?
Immediately does she pale, all color draining from her face before she flings the duvet off her body, bombarded with a new wave of nausea as she stumbles from the bed rushes for the bathroom once more.
“Princess?”
“I will be fine! But you should go! I do not want—“ Her left hand flies to her mouth, the right gripping at the silk of her nightgown as she forces the sickness back. “Want to get you sick. Fetch Sheik and…send him up to my bedchamber.” She provides no further explanation before slamming the bathroom door shut once more and collapsing to her knees in front of the garderobe, falling prey to a new bout of morning sickness.

(if I told you I was good at math and also time I'd be wrong.
So I gotta come out n say Morwen's pregnancy may be a little further behind than I've been writing it. I've been a bit mentally fucked lately and didn't calculate fully. Holidays and winter tend to boil out the thinking part of my intelligence, especially with retail work.
As such, I'm setting her to around 19-20 weeks from here on.
