I love the adult saiki version of @oceanwithouthermoon where he's basically princess bubblegum but I just had an idea

remember the alternate universe where kusuo died and kusuke started ww3? well, another similar Au but instead of kusuo, the one who dies is kusuke and kusuo its the one who starts the war and bla bla bla

in the canon episode kusuke seems kinda "off"

he doesn't seems like his usual childish self

he looks more serious and centered, similar to his brother's personality (then he changed to his old personality again when the alternate kusuo arrived)

but the thing is that i feel that if the other die, they would switch personalities

even worse If they were the one who killed eachother (its not confirmated the reason of why kusuo died but a lot of people prefer to believe that kusuke killed him and I agree)

so what if in this au kusuke's death changed kusuo's personality to be more like kusuke's?

if you combine kusuo and kusuke's personality you will get something similar to princess bubblegum but even more fucked up so...

I had been writing a fic that it's basically this but the princess bubblegum thing opened my eyes for more ideas, I need to finish that thing aaaa

since ive already been pretty open about this and im not afraid to whack a hornets nest i'll go ahead and say it: if you were raising a kid in a pseudo-apocalyptic setting and then you found out that said kid was going to be the one to defeat the eldritch god that you have tried to defeat for half your lifetime and could never manage. that she was going to FACE that eldritch god it was prophesied. you would teach her how to defend herself and how to fight. like god i am not saying hero's trauma from it wasn't justified because i do think the twins took it too far but the initial process of training her makes so much more sense if you approach it at the angle of "this kid is going to do something we've been trying to do since we were twelve and couldn't manage and we might not even be there to help her so we have to make sure she doesn't die in the process" and not "we're going to make her fix our mistakes" it makes sense. goes along with lark's running theme of not being strong enough in the moments that matter and wanting to make sure nobody else ever feels as helpless as he did when walter was injured. goes along with sparrow desperately tempting fate with normal's name- not because normal was an accident, but because sparrow never wanted to lose even one kid to the doodler and it was a fervent, desperate wish to let normal get to be normal

Watching the fallout tv series and like ok its not agonizing but it feels less "faithful" to the games (3 and 4 lets be honest) and more... shackled to them. There's stuff which is recreations of assets from fallout 4 constantly and it just seems lame because everything in games looks the same because they reuse assets, but it does not convey a real world.

Also the power armour also looks like a 'robot' puppetsuit from 20 years ago. The arms are floppy because the actors arms end halfway down.

Its all a little cheap looking and I fully believe that's in part due to to strict adherence to fallout 4 video game aesthetics instead of creating a distinctive visual language that works for live action tv.

People with zero interest in video games could and did watch The Last Of Us. This is more... Halo TV show. Or the Doom movie.

#also the location scouting seems to have consisted of a google search for 'coolest post apocalyptic filming locations'#because so far there's been... several location shoots which are way too instantly recognisable from other tv shows

*sits up in the middle of the night* in this next universe where vampires seem to have taken over the world, marceline probably either never met simon or he died soon after they met, which means that since her mom also died when she was really young (too young to remember a lot about her i bet), she most likely raised herself completely alone through the apocalypse and never really learned about Morals which is how after getting bitten she joined the vampires and, became evil i guess. we see that even with simons good influence in her formative years she went through a rough path after getting bitten so it would make sense that shed turn out nasty if it wasnt for him. she is part demon. we just saw an universe where simon lost marcy and was fucked up and now we're gonna see one where marcy lost simon and became fucked up

feeling incredibly conflicted about creating a doctor who fallout au. on the one hand i have so many major characters’ roles mapped out in my head and it is so cool. on the other hand fallout literally has gringo culture baked into the very foundations of its premise while doctor who is one of the most british things you’ll ever find.

Man I am shocked Future Man wasn’t all over tumblr when it was on. Wolf is like…the tumblr archetype. Badass warrior who secretly wants to be soft and cook??? And he is absolutely not straight???? Lead by Josh Hunger Games who at one point dresses up in a corset and feather boa??? A woman named Tiger who kicks ass and takes names and wants to connect with a community?????
