Silent Pines, 1998

Hey everyone! Welcome to Silent Pines, a base-game save file consisting of the 3 major worlds, a whole new set of townies, and a complete mystery to solve.

While I'm still working on it, I wanted to share what I have of Silent Pines so far. The world consists of;

Willow Creek as Silent Pines

Oasis Springs as Eclipse

Newcrest as Twilight Bay

I used S4Studio to rename all the worlds, and I've been decorating all the neighbourhoods with T.O.O.L. As I said before, Silent Pines is completely base-game friendly, absolutely no packs or kits are used. There is some custom CC, mainly posters that add to the story. The CC is one package file and adds nothing other than some customisation to the story. It is not required. For example the missing poster of Cleo Emerson, a girl who disappeared under mysterious circumstances you might see in Silent Pines;

Silent Pines is heavily inspired by Life is Strange, the Windbrook save file, florwalsims' Portsim save file, as well as the hazy nostalgia of the late 90s and early 2000s. I'll update you all as I finish builds, and I hope I can get the first version of Silent Pines up soon!

Y’all have that one oc that you’re completely obsessed with 😭💀. Sigh her existence came to be via Hamilton rp (SHUT UP LMFAO IK) and now I’m making her room in the sims 😭😭

Her name is Judith, jude for short. She’s French (her mom is French and black) and Ghanaian (dad is from Ghana) and she has vitiligo. She has an older brother who is 5 yrs older than her 😭 I love her AHHH I might make her in the sims tomorrow

OMg also forgot to mention I’m playing in the portsims save file by @florwal it’s the yellow house in oasis springs (I forgot the name)

Took a break from Kate & Sebrina because I felt like playing with the new kits & new CC, a new to me mod, and the Portsims save file - none of which fits Sebrina and her style. So I moved good ol' Iggy Pancakes to Oasis Springs and built him a house.

I was inspired by this house, but it's certainly not exact. I kept it under 40K but I didn't cheat him any extra money so he's been struggling.

I had come across The Selvadoradese Owl mod and, since the Maltese Falcon is one of my favorites, I had to play. Iggy is a detective.

It's pretty fun but basically just a rabbit hole. But I like the continuing story. I really just wanted something different. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I'd love another Strangerville-esq game pack with a mystery to solve.

I do love the Portsim save file though, so many interesting characters!

However, I have not been taking screenshots - I've just been playing (these are actually the only ones after 10 in game days). I don't normally play in Oasis Springs but I'm really loving it right now. It's unfinished in this version of the save file but that's fine, I've been adding some builds. I'm really just into the new & madeover Sims!

So if there's a bit of break between this and Sebrina, I'm happily solving crimes and getting Iggy into trouble (again).

PORTSIM SAVE FILE 1.0

portsim is a small city in the south. it was established as a town in 1752, and the current population is 97,915. it's full of history and has a lot of culture. with increasing poverty rates, gang violence, and a drug epidemic, crime is at an all time high. will the city’s new mayor be able to make portsim a safer place?

4 months in the making and it’s finally here! huge thank you to everyone that’s been following me through the process. ♡ y’all are so kind and supportive and i really appreciate all the love. this was originally going to be a personal save, it’s inspired by my hometown (portsmouth, virginia) most builds are based off real places around me, and some households are based off my friends and family. this is very much still personal to me!

willow creek, newcrest, and magnolia promenade have been rebuilt, repopulated, and transformed into one large town

i own all packs and kits, if you don't you can still play this save but build and cas objects will be missing

check out the portsim townie index (wip) to read their bios and keep up with their stories. some already have posts but some are empty, i’ll be adding more as i play

21 residential lots / 19 community lots - please read community lot descriptions because most are multi functional! i also left some empty commercial spaces that are “for lease” so i can add things as new packs come out

added new holidays - i changed names to be more realistic and added a few (spring cleaning day, easter, independence day, halloween, christmas eve)

added 5 new clubs (city officials, a gang, a cult, a record label, painting classes by a townie)

i’ve never made a save file before, and this is just the first version. please let me know if you run into any issues. i want to eventually add more households, and i also want to add + rebuild other worlds

i highly suggest turning the eco lifestyle ep’s eco foot print + npc voting off, unless you want the town to look apocalyptic and the trinity church community space to be set to the winter version during summer etc

i turned neighborhood stories off, but sims were still adopting babies and divorcing each other so i kept them all in the my households tab, you don’t have to keep them there!

shoutout to @cowplant-snacks and @nightlioness for letting me use some of their sims as background townies so there's not as many ugly npcs

next world that’s going to be added: oasis springs + del sol valley - idk which one will be out first! but they're coming soon ♡

PORTSIM SAVE FILE 1.1

behind the glitz and glamour of the valley lies something much darker. starlight boulevard is littered with trash and reeks of piss. the homelessness crisis is the worst it's ever been. drug epidemics, murder, and other crimes run rampant through the smog filled city. this is the real del sol valley. do you have what it takes to make it out here?

everything from 1.0 included

there’s a no cc version + the lit version (requires minimal cc and basemental drugs + wicked whims)

del sol valley remade into a dirtier, more realistic city inspired by los angeles and gta 5

i own all packs and kits, i won’t be answering any questions regarding pack requirements! the answer is all of them! you can still play in the save but lots will have missing objects, and sims will be missing clothes

31 new sims made by me + more sims from people using the #florwaltownies tag - working on making a del sol townie index so i can go more in depth on the townie’s backstories

5 residential lots (3 are multi-family) + 3 community lots

2 new clubs - mirage menaces, a street gang and third chances, a support group for ex criminals

readable journal entries from some of the townies (portsim + del sol) included in the lit version

updated almost every townie with the new family dynamics, sim characteristics, and conversation topics system from the growing together ep

included a few new builds in oasis springs, but only 1 house household lives there and the world is about halfway finished

Hello!! Hope you are having a great week!! Just a question about the save file, in your amazing and creative mind what's the distance between port sim 1 and 2 and the other city's that you added? I'm trying to be a little realistic with travel and distance. Thank you for the save!!

portsim 1 + 2 + 3 are all the same town based off where i live (virginia)

del sol valley and oasis springs are a few hours away from each other (california)

millhaven is somewhere in oregon

Hi, I was wondering why you haven't included basement gangs into your save file. It seems like it would work perfectly.

i just wanted to get 1.0 out as quick as possible tbh, it’s basically the beta/test version of the save. i also assumed people would prefer the no cc one but now that i know the lit version has more downloads, i have plans to use the gangs mod! i also have a few sims/storylines i wanna add to portsim + a little more tool mod/set dressing. i’m working on something rn (that isn’t oasis springs) that should be out pretty soon. that’s when the next version will be released and all those things will be added 🖤

i'm so excited for you apocalypse save file and there's a part of me that already wants to know everything about it while the other part want to be surprised when you'll release it.

anyway, i miss so much the helms 😭😭 it felt just like a sims 4 shameless + with your humor it was iconic, just: great.

did you already thought about which world to do after del sol valley/oasis springs? i love your work and i'm always so excited for everything you do

i’m excited too it’s very hard to not post everything about it! should be done really soon. just doing small things now. i suck at consistently uploading youtube videos i’m just always doing so much other sims shit and my life is super busy so it’s hard to balance it all. i wanna take a break to just play the game and record more but knowing me i’ll just start adding to the portsim save cuz i love to make things hard for myself.

san myshuno or copperdale idk there’s a few i wanna do!
