gravity falls au idea: portalstuck mabel

at the end of not what he seems, mabel ends up getting sucked into the portal just before ford returns, so ford is back but mabel is now gone. weirdmageddon never happens but dipper is dead set on getting her back. whether b/c of dipper or on her own, mabel returns a year later but now as an adult.

And here it is at last! The Gravity Falls Multi-Artist Lyric Comic tribute to the Stan Twins, "Trouble"!

I’m just thinking about a Gravity Falls AU where it’s Stan who gets pushed through the portal and not Ford. The only part I’ve really thought out is this. So, you know how, in canon, Dipper and Mabel angst over not knowing if Grunkle Stan is really who he says he is in Not What He Seems? Well, maybe in this AU, they find the postcard Ford sent to Stan or find some of Stan’s belongings that Ford kept. They realize that their great uncle Stan who they never got to meet because he went missing 30 years ago and who the family rarely talks about visited Gravity Falls and then mysteriously disappeared. And so Dipper and Mabel angst over “Oh my gosh, did Grunkle Ford kill his own brother?”
