May I kindly request a Miscolored Candy Cat reader that was found by either Mommy Long Legs or by the Player in the Aisle of Misfit Toys in good condition and helps by distracting the other toys or getting into places that they can't get into. Also, you can call me Carnival Games Anon
Being a rejected Candy Cat simply because your colors were apparently "unappealing" to the kids was outrageous to you.
It had you staring at the posters of the “real” Candy Cat with envy 24/7.
Why couldn’t you have been made as a “limited-edition” toy? You were in good condition!
But you’ve gotten used to life in the Rejected Isle, hanging out with the other rejected toys and finding food where you could.
One day you hear noises and notice an employee in yellow trying move Bron off a platform. He never really talks to you (you don’t even know if he can, he just stares off into space a lot).
You’ve seen the other toys become hyper-violent murderers of humans and toys alike, though you’re more passive.
Ofc you have resentment for being rejected, but you wouldn’t blame every single employee. Especially not this one (Player) who looks like they’ve been through some rough stuff.
So you offer your assistance, wanting to go with them (they had no candy but you didn’t care about that--which was probably another reason you were rejected: the lack of candy obsession).
Although hesitant to trust another toy, they let you.
Turns out, you’re quite helpful in sneaking around, helping them find trophies or VHS tapes.
You even played along with Statues and distracted PJ and Mommy whenever possible.
Even when Poppy ends up betraying you two, you stick by Player’s side and try helping them out of the crashed train.
You’re anxious about being so far away from your home, but it was time you proved yourself useful.

With the release of the teaser for Chapter 3, I've decided to make a post about my thoughts on it plus what I believe to be the creepiest toy in all of Playtime Co.
Tumblr media
The very first thing I thought of when I came across the teaser is that this is our first introduction to Candy Cat, or rather the Bigger Bodies Initiative version of Candy Cat. However, the original Candy Cat toy is more plastic and light blue, so I assume this is probably the "mother" or "father" of the Candy Cats. We don't know any other toy who has purple fur and metal claws (Boxy Boo has the same claws, but that's about it), so this is the best educated guess I can come up with.
As for our poor little Huggy Wuggy here, it has become a tradition at this point to add in the Poster Child of Playtime Co. in teasers and trailers. I'm beginning to believe that this little guy's appearance is symbolic and not just a way to appeal to the fans. We know the big Huggy from Chapter 1 supposedly died after falling down from a bridge we broke while trying to escape. I say "supposedly" because it has been theorized that Huggy is still alive (the blue fur on the walls in Chapter 2, the trail of blood, etc.). While I may be on the fence simply because I just don't know and I want to be surprised, I will say that Huggy will return... But not in the way we think.
So far, the little Huggy has been shown with the main antagonists of each chapter. First it was Mommy Long Legs, and now it's... whatever the hell this is. Huggy Wuggy was the first antagonist. With him defeated, the torch is passed to another giant abomination, and then the next, so on and so forth. The player, the main character, will be going through a series of main antagonists until we eventually meet the Big Kahuna of the bunch. As each one has the little Huggy, they're also reminding us of his first encounter, consistently keeping that memory alive despite Big Huggy's death.
Why would this franchise keep on showing Huggy Wuggy and not give Mommy Long Legs the same treatment? The simple answer to that is most likely fan appeal. The better, more cooler answer to that is that Huggy's purpose is far from over. Huggy is dead and yet he is carried around, almost puppeteer-like, as if to represent the cruel and sickening implications of what happens to useless toys. Many of those toys died, and the ones who thrived survived - a "Natural Selection" society of Frankenstein'ed objects. While the weaker ones were tossed aside, the stronger ones are reborn... Brought back to serve their purpose once more.
Who's to say that Huggy will return with a vengeance, stronger, faster, deadlier than before, all thanks to the Prototype?
...
Anyways!
Now, I've seen SuperHorrorBro's video on this and he brings up an interesting take:
This teaser is introducing us to Candy Cat and Bron the Dinosaur.
Personally, I don't quite see it, despite him explaining that the eyes are not "cat-like" and so could belong to Bron. While that may be true, I don't think that's him. I believe Bron will appear eventually in Poppy Playtime as one of the antagonists we encounter throughout the game (much like Bonzo Bunny, Pug-a-piller, and the little Huggy Wuggys). If Bron is going to be an antagonist, my best guess is that he's going to be a sightless enemy.
In other words, we will have to sneak our way from getting caught by Bron, who relies solely on sound and touch. (maybe smell? These toys are made of humans, after all.)
Tumblr media
In the very first trailer for Poppy Playtime (Chapter 1), we get a little cutscene of Bron slowly turning his head to the viewer. While this is probably a little animation just to showcase the game, I genuinely believe that we will encounter him at some point, even if he's going to be in a future chapter and not Chapter 3.
And look at his eyes - or lack thereof! You cannot look at this and tell me that is NOT a stealth mission waiting to appear.
And I am both excited and absolutely fucking terrified if it's true.
Bron, in my personal opinion, is the creepiest toy in all of Playtime Co. He's not a savage beast like Huggy, or a sadistic villain like Mommy Long Legs. Bron is more subtle - a more quiet horror. He is like a shadow at the corner of your eye, or a sudden creak in the night. His quietness gives off that sense of uneasiness, leaving you second guessing. You don't even know if he's staring at you right now. By doing almost nothing, Bron causes his prey's imagination get to them before going for the kill. He would rather watch you cry and panic and run first, before finally, and mercifully, ending it all.
...
Did you know that the human body contains 125,822 calories?
Considering Bron's thing for diets...
"What do you call the scariest dinosaur?"

Could you give a bit more personality to some of the less-focused on toys?(ie. Bunzo, catbee, candy cat, etc)
Due to lack of information of most of the toys, i'll only give some insight on some of them. Mainly ones that we won't meet again (Bunzo, Buddies) or ones i have a feeling they are considered as an ally or might not even appear as alive ingame (Catbee and candy cat). I might do something for the rejected toys as well in the future.
Bunzo;
bouncy, up beat yet an incredibly stubborn.
Literally everyone's alarm clock. he's a morning person, gets extremely lonely and just wakes them up by clashing his cymbals in their face. He hasn't learnt not to do this and thinks the one time Bron swung him out of the window is a one off (it's not)
Since he's a more medium sized toy, he does go out of the house more than most of the others do. Of course, he doesn't bare a disguise, so everyone just thinks he's wearing some form of a rabbit hoodie or jumpsuit. (the town's fucking clueless man).
A decent babysitter for hire, though lets kids off more loosely than their parents or former babysitters.
Known to break into local schools' music classes where someone finds him being held by one of his ears by the teacher is not uncommon, when he gets caught that is.
Smells like a mixture of birthday cake and vanilla candle smoke
Catbee;
Shy, and soft spoken with some sass.
Likes to take parts of her body off while experimenting with other swap-animals parts that Player manages to get her. Its not rare to find her walking around the house with miscellaneous body parts.
Nicknamed Honey by passer-by while spending her time on the fence.
Always on a highest area in the house, be it a tree or a bookshelf. She likes to be tall but can't compete with huggy wuggy.
her voice box is filtered so she sounds like she's buzzing when she talks. It's permanent and her purring is exactly the same. Meowing is more or less a vocal tic from her ingraved programming.
Out of any human, she hates babies the most. they are just far to rough for her. there's a reason why Catbee toys and the swap-animals have an age warning.
Candy Cat;
CC is often their chosen abbreviated name, however will respond to just Candy or their full name.
Straight from my biology headcanon, CC can not move with their tonuge; it is far to big and heavy that they never leave the house. Can move if provoked or when picked up by a stronger toy (Bron)
Likes reading. They happened to like fantasy and crime novels.
Eating is one of their pastimes (not like they have much of a choice) but prefer more savoury foods unlike their toy namesake. They still enjoy sugary foods, just not as much as savoury.
Huggy Buddies;
despite being eighteen sentient huggy wuggy replicas, they are called as a collective as the Buddies. They all have names similar to huggy wuggy and kissy missy, and wear certain accessories to differentiae each other from their respective colours.
While there is red, blue, green and yellow Buddies in the group, there is also orange buddies, minty blue Buddies, purple buddies and a singular pink Buddy that were just been created when the toys escaped.
They all have distinctive personalities based on colour but their main trait is aggressiveness, either by actively attacking or retreating to defend (blame the researchers)
They all can't talk, but can coo and growl. they just sound like a group of puppies if they were a multi-coloured experiments that were kidnapped days after being created.
PJ Pugapillar;
Who made this guy have dilated pupils all the time? He can't stand sunlight or most lights in general.
Fur is super soft, might as well be a pillow.
Eats bones for breakfast, but never be in the same room as him. the crunch is super loud you might as well not be there at all. He doesn't have table manners.
Gets spooked when a butterfly lands on his nose, making him go cross-eyed.

Poppy Playtime OC alert.
This is Gumball, a larger and older make of Candy Cat. He was created and designed to be a fun version of a gumball machine that the kids could interact with and find friendly.
 Though he was only made for the factory and wasn’t available for the public to buy in stores. Unexpectedly, the kids ended up liking him a lot and the parents did as well, with high demand, the company decided to make smaller much more affordable versions of him for the customers; Candy Cat.
i made him months ago back in chapter one lol i saw Candy Cat and instantly fell in love enough to make a oc inspired by him.

Y'all see the new trailer?? OF COURSE YOU DID. It was definitely worth the long wait.
I finished Catnap a few weeks ago, and I'm freaking out! When I saw the new trailer and it was confirmed that he was indeed starving and borderline skeletal, I was so happy that my depiction of him was correct!
I'm a big fan of Playtime Co.'s cat characters. I drew them all in my sketchpad when I was on break at work, and I love that they look even better in Krita! I took a leave of absence from work and used that time to rediscover my forgotten talent/passion for drawing. It feels good to be satisfied with my work after I once thought I'd never draw again. I'm glad I was wrong.
I'm really excited for the new Chapter, as I'm sure all of you are, too. It looks amazing! I also ordered the Catnap plush, and he should be here any day now.
I hope you like my work and please let me know what you think, as I really appreciate it and use it as motivation. Be sure to follow me and come back for me, please!
Stay wild, free, and safe, my dears!
-Astra
