The Anatomy of Love will be deleted from Fanfiction.net

Hello, TAOL readers!

I am pleased to announce that I will be deleting The Anatomy of Love fanfic off of FFN! To clarify, I am deleting the fanfic ONLY off of that site. This means you will still be able to read on ArchiveofOurOwn.org (click here for the fic link) which was always the preferable option anyway. There are several reasons why I have decided to delete this fanfic from FFN.

1) There have been a few bad apples on AO3 spamming me with harassing comments (sadly, it’s not con crit). I had to reconfigure the comment settings there so that only “registered users” (readers with AO3 accounts) would be the only ones able to comment. This bars the trolls and haters from abusing their anonymity privilege to harass writers like me any further (or else they get BLOCKED if they continue to try). Unfortunately, this means a few of these rotten apples have hopped over to Fanfiction.net to harass me there now (FFN does not allow writers to disable Guests from reviewing).

One example of one of these trolls who have so much spite in their life that they waste their time and energy to chase and harass is none other than our pitiful Guest, SQUASHA! She whines that I delete her “”reviews”” because she acknowledges how bitchy and pointless they are. She also whines that the pacing between Kakashi and Sakura is slow and vexatious and complains that I say I am excited to write real sexual content for our lovebirds but that I always just tease it. Now, yes, I have since deleted that review from SQUASHA (again) because it is indeed bitchy, pointless, and serves only to complain (again) rather than constructively criticize. But also because I believe poor SQUASHA is very confused and possibly forgot that I explicitly mentioned in bold words at the very start of the fic that The Anatomy of Love is a slow-build longfic. It is also highly possible that readers like SQUASHA are completely new to fanfiction and do not understand what is a slowburn and what it consists of. So essentially, SQUASHA is complaining that this slowburn fic is being… well, exactly what it is and exactly what she knew from the start what it was (assuming she took the time to read my A/N at the very start of chapter 1). So with trolls like her running from AO3 to lurk on FFN now (actually, FFN has always been a cesspool for trolls due to lack of moderation), it’s one reason I am deleting this fic here.

2) Another reason I’m deleting this fic is because for some ridiculous reason, FFN has decided to screw over both readers and writers with the changes in their Email Opt-in system. From now on, readers and writers automatically are opted OUT of email notifications. In fact, you should take a look at your account settings right now because the change has already been made for you. FFN has changed it so that you have to manually opt IN to receive email notifications and then from now on you have to re-do that again every 6 months. Or else after 6 months it resets your settings to opt OUT of notifications. As someone who barely touches FFN and barely looks at my inbox, this isn’t very appealing for me.

3) FFN does not allow links or images. The Anatomy of Love is full of bonus content in which I like to link reference images for Sakura’s outfits, fanart that readers had made or commissioned, and deleted scenes that I link at the end. This is one reason why I have always encouraged readers to read this fic on AO3 instead so that they have access to all that bonus content. On FFN, I can’t do that. I have to jump through so many hurdles just to hint at where readers should go for the bonus content. It makes posting a chapter on FFN very tedious work for me.

4) I already barely touch FFN - and it’s a huge reason as to why I never reply to any of your guys’ Reviews (sorry about that, btw!). FFN was the first site I used to post fanfiction when I was a pre-pubescent teen. I’ve since graduated to AO3 years ago though and I find that site so much easier to navigate and curate my space. So deleting this fic from FFN is actually very beneficial for me in many ways.

So with all my reasons listed, I want to add that I will be deleting this fic from FFN at the end of December. That should give anyone here ample time to see this note and bounce over to AO3.

Geometry Wars 3 is a twin stick shooter where you get to control your little ship around a surface filled with a variety of enemies. The game was hugely popular and it spawned many sequels this one is the first to be developed by a studio besides Bizarre Creations (which was closed by Activision in 2010) and published by the resurrected Sierra brand (a subsidiary publishing arm of Activision). Oh boy, it’s that time again After yesterday’s long SFW post, I remembered something at the top of the website that interested me.

This image is actually a link to the page for the Nintendo Power Cartridge service. But since it was shut down in 2007, it just leads to this.

(Please note that all of the screenshots with English were auto translated from Japanese by my browser, so take the translations with a grain of salt.) At first, I just blew this off since it was shut down, I probably wouldn’t be able to access the original layout. But then I remembered that Internet Archive has the Wayback Machine, so I thought I’d try my luck with it, and sure enough, it worked.

From here, I was able to stumble my way to the full list of games available for the service, and from there, I was able to find Super Famicom Wars.

(Also, for some reason, ‘Famicom’ tends to get auto translated as either ‘Nintendo’ or ‘NES’) Finding this was nice, but it seemed to just be a game description. I looked closer at it and noticed a link to a PDF. Being curious, I clicked it.

We got a game guide! I tried to plug some of the text into Google Translate, but it was frustrating to select and everytime I pasted it in, I needed to re-format it. So if anyone out there can read Japanese and finds anything interesting, feel free to share that. I also downloaded this thing onto my desktop, so if somehow anything bad happened to the Wayback Machine, I have the PDF safe and sound. With all of this being on the Official Nintendo website, I wondered if there was a page like this for the Satellaview. I searched it up on the site, but instead came up with the Nintendo Online Magazine, a magazine thar ran from September 1998 to July 2012. The reason I bring this up is because I found a specific issue talking about Nintendo Cartridge games, talking about how re-writing the cartridge works and listing the top 3 best games available on the service out of I believe 4 categories, 1st party, 3rd party, re-released games, and rare games. I’m specifically looking at the 1st party games

There’s this message at the top of the 1st party page, talking about the kinds of games that are available, mentioning SFW as a re-make, and guess who got 1st place in the rankings.

If you’re wondering where the ‘click here’ link leads to, it just leads to SFW’s webpage again. this is the first instance of any sort of review of the game I’ve found in my searching, so that means that it wasn’t entirely left in the dark in regards to being advertised, but as of now, I still haven’t found much else. Well, these are just some things that I found today and wanted to share, I hope you like them.

The machine begins its duty, whirring to life before the liquid is deposited into the cup below.

Your fingers wrap around the mug and take it to the counter, where you've already prepared your milk and syrup for a quick and easy cup of coffee.

Lately, you've had to sneak and make coffee (all futile attempts ruined by Kai or Ran), but you consider today full of promise. You'd gotten the formula down so far.

"I thought I said no coffee."

Your hands hover over the cup, the steam caressing your fingers like a warm invitation. Your eyes don't move to look at Ran, but they do watch his fingers snatch the cup away from you - full of warm milk and espresso.

"Y/n, it's not good for the baby."

"Okay, but..." Your feet carry you to the sink, where Ran is pouring the concoction down the drain. "Just a taste?"

"No."

"A sip?"

"No."

"I'll make it and just stick my tongue in it once."

"No."

Ran stands firm on his opinions at all times. Especially now. Arms cross over your chest and you huff, turning away from him.

"So strict." Ran fingers slide down your neck, resting around your full hips.

"It's not just about you," he begins, kissing the space between your neck and shoulder. "I'm looking out for our child, too. You know that."

"I do," you groan.

"Now, we have a baby shower to host. Let's get ready."

"Tell them what?" Ran tilts his head at you and leans onto the counter, frowning. Your face smoothes out into an expression of disappointment, and you sigh.

Of course, he hadn't.

It's still your job to carry this terrible secret. It's still your job to bury your deepest, darkest knowing, all while the other girls are parading about like their husbands aren't killers and extortionists.

"Hey, y/n! It's time to open the presents!"

The water surrounding your figure is warm, full of bubbles and Epsom salt, as well as a little bath bomb that Ran bought - well, he bought sixteen, but that's beside the point.

"You haven't even listened to me," you whisper, looking down at the ten toes poking out of the water. "You always do this. You tell me 'no' because that's the way you want things. I can't even drink coffee without your permission."

"Listen, I'll let you do whatever you want, but Bonten is out of the question. You're pregnant --"

"Then I can wait until I have the baby."

"Even after that, I'm going to say no. This is a dangerous business." He emphasizes his words with a shake of his head, pressing his lips together.

"You act like I wasn't an investigative journalist for ten years."

"This shit could get you killed, y/n."

"Yes," you begin. "But you do it every day. I want to be a part of it."

"Why?" Ran finally asks, and your lips curl into a smile.

"I know things you don't know. The media follows you very closely, and you need a good image if you ever run into a problem with... say, law enforcement. What better way to prove that this is a harmless organization than hiring a woman - your wife?" Ran quirks his lips, looking at the door of the bathroom with consideration.

"Is there any particular skill you'll avail to us other than just public relations? I mean, I could get someone to do that who isn't my wife."

"I have connections that will divert attention away from Bonten, if necessary." You think of the little group you and the other wives have created, and send a mental apology their way. "You can use me to get the word out about any other suspicious groups who might be involved. Aid and abet, like a good wife."

Ran stands from the toilet, sighing deeply. "I'll ask Mikey. But don't expect me to attempt to sway him with my loyalty. If anything, I'll ask him to really think about it before he makes a choice."

"That's all I want," you breathe, taking Ran's hand and pressing your lips against the back of it. "You're too good to me."

"Don't thank me yet, sweetheart."

Convincing Ran to part with his old-fashioned ways is something you're very skilled at. All you need to do is get on your knees... and be as sweet as you can be.

"Babe," you mutter, sucking Ran's thick cock from the side. "You're such a good husband."

"Buttering me up for Mikey, huh?" Fingers cup the back of your head and push you down slightly. "Why am I not surprised?"

And every single time, Ran sees straight through your little act. But he enjoys it nonetheless. He loves seeing you like this - giving him the attention he missed so much while you were gone.

"Because you know me so well. And that's why you married me."

That's why you married me. Ran's eyes close as he re-imagines himself the first time he decided to visit you, hands full of shit he didn't have to buy, and eyes full of stars at the sight of you answering the door in a tank top and shorts with a cast on your leg. That's when he knew that he wanted to marry you. Not because you're good at anything in particular, but because you were so ordinary... So normal. He needed someone like you then, and he needs you now.

"Stop."

"Am I doing something wrong?" you murmur, but Ran shakes his head, strands of his black and white hair flopping back and forth.

"You're perfect," he whispers. "You're always so perfect." He brings you off your knees and face to face with him, holding you by the arms. "Let me make love to you. I'll do the work," Ran promises. "You just enjoy yourself."

"But--"

"I've already told you what I'm going to do. Just let me give you what you deserve." Ran angles forward, leaning into a gentle kiss that makes your knees weak and your head spin.

Ran spoons you from behind on the bed, holding your leg up and sliding in and out of you with care. The other arm is holding you against him - wrapped around your chest - as he whispers sweet nothings into your ear.

"I love the way you moan my name," he breathes. "You always know how to make me feel like the only man in the world."

"You are," you reply honestly. "You're the only man for me."

"Why do you want to join Bonten?"

The dead eyes of the man across from you are unyielding, and part of you feels nervous that he's staring at you so intensely.

"I want to help you all out. I want to make sure that not only do my children have something to rely on when they grow up, but that my husband is taken care of in all ways."

"Your children and your husband?" You think of Ran, who is just outside of the door, probably pacing with his hands in his pockets. "Your husband just spent three hours arguing with me."

"About?"

"You." The man stands, and Sanzu looks over at him with blank eyes. He wants to chime in, but he can't say anything right now. Not when Mikey was supposed to handle this himself. "Your presence here will be controversial. Especially since you're... in the state you're in."

"Pregnancy isn't a fatal disease."

"No, but being in Bonten could be fatal. And I don't know if both ran and I would be willing to accept the consequences of two deaths on our hand."

"But--" Sanzu raises a finger to his lips, warning you to be quiet.

"However," the man murmurs, rolling his neck around. "Sanzu, Rindou, and Kakucho have vouched for you and your connections." Your shoulders slacken, and you lean back in the chair, somewhat relieved. "I will put it to an anonymous vote in thirty-six hours. Whatever the outcome is, we'll both accept it."

A blind vote.

Thirty-six hours.

"Thank you, sir." You stand and bow slightly, hands clasped together. When you leave the room, Ran is waiting for you in the hallway, eyes wide.

"Well?"

"It'll be put to an anonymous vote in thirty-six hours. Whatever happens, happens."

Ran's face is anything but pleased as you drive home, but you don't worry about that too much. You have one and a half days to wait for the results, and you'd make the best of it either way.

Hey, all! Wanted to share a snippet of the first chapter (”Awake”) of “Divergence” - a fic that will offshoot from “Heavy Metal Lover.” Note that this is basically a whole spoiler for chapter 20 of “Heavy Metal Lover.” If you’re like me and see random stuff saying “Don’t click if you haven’t read...” and click anyway: Hi! Welcome, chaos lover. If you like this and want to know the context, please feel free to check out the full work on AO3.

“Divergence” should be posted within two weeks and will be open to requests for the reader (”Lucky”) to have different experiences than what she has in the original. This can mean the following:

As soon as you were alone in the bedroom, you took off your shoes and eyed the clothes Heisenberg had provided you from the factory...

...before turning to the tub.

The logical side of your brain, for once, remained quiet.

Though you had clearly lost all sense of sensibility, you at least moved the divider to completely block the tub from any but the most determined of views.

The water had been scalding when you got in.

By the time you had bathed and decided that your foolishness had reached its limit, it was stark cold.

"This was stupid," you said. "Fucking stupid. What did I want? Him to join me? This is the universe saying 'Wake the fuck up.'"

Though your fingers were pruned, you dried yourself off and pulled a nightgown from the small cupboard beneath the sink.

Sheer as ever. Fuck's sake. The universe had truly saved you.

Until it hadn't.

Heisenberg rushed into the room like a rocket and you jumped as the door slammed close.

"...you here, Luck?"

"Yeah," you called out. "Um...don't come over here...gotta get dressed real quick."

"...k" called Heisenberg.

Wasting no time, you slid the gown over your body and made sure to fan out the edges as far as they would go.

You needed no mirror to see your nipples proudly displayed through the fabric.

Mouthing a 'fuck' for good measure, you frowned.

"Heisenberg?"

"Yes?"

"Do you...do you mind looking away for a second?"

"From you?"

"Yes."

"...are...are you coming out naked?"

"No," you snapped.

An awkward silence greeted you.

"Heisenberg?"

"Huh?"

"You looking away?"

"Oh. Yeah. You're good now."

Peeking from behind the divider, you only saw Heisenberg's back.

With more speed than you were familiar with, you bolted to the bed and ducked under the covers.

Once secure beneath the pillowy softness, you breathed a sigh of relief.

"Okay. It’s safe."

You did not miss how Heisenberg whirled around.

"Oh...fuck...that was fast."

"Yeah," you said absently.

"Trying to set a fucking record?"

"Something like that."

"Mmn. I...gotta get changed."

"Okay."

The two of you stared at the other.

"You trying to get a free show or you gonna cover those peepers?"

"...I figured you would go behind the divider."

"The divider is on your side of the bed."

"Oh," you said dumbly. "Oh. Yeah...wait."

Yanking the pillow from underneath your head, you smashed it onto your face above your mouth and pressed down.

Heisenberg chuckled. "Dramatic as hell."

"Doing what you asked of me."

"...didn't formally ask you to...did I?"

Swallowing found your throat on fire.

"Mmn."

"What was that?"

"Mmn," you repeated.

"Heh...don't go into public speaking, kid."

You frowned at the ceiling and the darkness of your eyes.

Instead of speaking, Heisenberg decided to tell you he was done by climbing in the bed beside you. It struck you suddenly that lamps had been placed in the room instead of the candles that the castle was so beset with. But when you removed your pillow, you found yourself met by more muted darkness.

"Sure you okay with this?" asked Heisenberg. "I can fuck off and go into another room. I like to bitch like a drama king, but I don't need anything crazy set up for me."

"Bed is pretty big," you said carelessly. "S'okay. We've been closer."

The chuckle Heisenberg gave was absolutely filthy.

"We have...haven't we?"

The fucking lilt would be the death of you. What a relief it was to blink blindly and stupidly at the man in peace without judgment.

"Hey - last time I'm reminding you...what's your one job?"

"Get you out in the morning," you replied.

"Because?"

"Ah...generators...production line...something about a reset..."

"That's my girl. Nighty night, Luck."

"Night, Heis."

A turn. A breath. A feeling that you would never be able to sleep with the man so close that you could feel his body heat radiating from him like a welcome sign.

But you awoke.

You awoke often.

You awoke in the middle of the night from a dream you could barely recall and all the images of Alcina at the forefront of your mind.

You awoke in Heisenberg's arms and sobbed into his chest as he clung you to him just as sweetly as any of your snowy imaginings.

"Fuck you doing awake? No...shh...it's okay...shh...you're alright. I'm here. I've got you."

Though sleep pulled at your eyelids, you nudged your head up to feel the spikes of Heisenberg's scruff. You had to stay awake. Could not return to sleep and Alcina awaiting you with her long talons and even longer legs.

"Nightmare?"

You nodded into his neck.

"Mmn. Have those myself...think you can go back to sleep? Don't think it's quite time for me to leave yet if you just wanna yak about it or something."

Swallowing, you exhaled. "Don't wanna go back to sleep."

With a grunt, Heisenberg sat up to leave you curled on the sheets.

"Just checking the time..."

When Heisenberg turned to pull something from the floor, you noticed that your eyes had somewhat adjusted to the dark. Enough so that you saw the loose movements of his arms and realized that he had gone to bed without a shirt.

"Fuck...two in the morning..."

"I'm sorry," you said, tensing. But Heisenberg was mumbling and coming back to you with open arms. "Sorry I woke you..."

"S'alright," he said, yawning afterward. "Gotten less sleep and done more stupid things after than make sure the reset doesn't fuck up the factory..."

As he spoke, you could feel one of his hands rubbing up and down your arm a bit too roughly. An awkward and well intended move to comfort you.

"Still...I'm sorry...you need all the sleep you can manage to get. I don't know how much work the whole factory thing will be..."

"Honestly not much as long as I get back in time," he said, hand squeezing your arm for good measure before returning to that same rough rubbing motion. "Could probably even come back here afterwards...heh...that would spook that sixty-foot snake."

You laughed a sleepy laugh and settled further into his grasp.

"Mmn...like a fucking little bunny...cuddling into me and shit..."

"I can stop...pull away..."

Heisenberg's hand stopped rubbing you in favor of clutching you to him.

"Shh...you're talking nonsense. Need some sleep."

"Heis..."

"Shhh..."

"Heis, you can just tell me that you like it when we cuddle."

When he tsked and laid his chin on your head, you smiled. It felt so much like that day at the stronghold.

"Why would I say that? Not in the business of lying to people."

Lying...yes...because what we are doing now is causing you so much distress...

"Well," you said, smiling. "I'll say it then. I like it when we cuddle. Especially in bed. Feels more comfy than cuddling in front of the lycans."

A shiver - as though Heisenberg had been beset by the cold - ran through his body.

"Oof...y'okay?"

"Yeah, yeah..." he said absently. "Uh...actually...we might wanna go to sleep after all..."

"Mmn?"

"Yeah...early morning..."

"You mind if I hold onto you for a while? This...this actually helps from the nightmare."

The only way you knew how to describe Heisenberg in that moment was jittery. His movements were fine on their own but were conducted with such awkward quickness as to be alarming.

When he did not answer you, you looked up at him through the dark.

"What's wrong?" you asked.

A beat of silence and then another.

"Nothing's wrong." Quick words to match his quick movement.

"Heisenberg..."

"It's Heis."

"...you...Heis...something isn't right. Just talk to me. In English, preferably."

What you could only assume was a curse in German fell from his lips.

"I...fuck's sake, buttercup...I don't know how to...if you...this was such a bad idea...so fucking STUPID."

"What?" You paused, gathering enough evidence from his huff. "Sleeping together?"

"Yes."

"It was your idea."

"I FUCKING KNOW THAT, OKAY?" he hissed. "Just...I thought...earlier...it made more sense...this made more sense..."

"Glad something did because I am completely and utterly confused," you admitted.

"You're confused? You started flirting with me." Heisenberg grumbled something low and rough. "Fucking gave me ideas...false hope...so I thought...guh I'm such a fucking idiot..."

Hope began to fuel you too. Fuel you and feed into the most terrible of terrific ideas.

"Are you...whatever you're trying to say...I was flirting with you. That wasn't false. Honestly...I was in the bathtub just moments before you came in hoping you would join me."

"...you what now?"

You could not help but laugh. The fact that you could not see Heisenberg's expressive face only added to the hilarity as you imagined a hundred different emotions running through that scarred skin.

"I took a bath...a long one...hoping that you would come up here in the middle of it and offer to join me...figured one thing could lead into another and the bed was here anyway..."

The pauses in between Heisenberg's voice could only endear you to him. He seemed every bit lost for words.

"You...are you talking about...what are you talking about?"

"Sleeping with you," you supplied with a shrug. "What are you talking about?"

"Just? This is a goddamn holiday. Marking it on the calendar. Nothing little about it."

You had expected him to laugh at that suggestion if he acknowledged it at all. But there he was giddy and practically giggling over the most flowery option he was given.

"Okay...are there any places that you don't like being touched?"

"Not that I know of," he admitted. "Are there...is there somewhere I shouldn't touch you?"

"Not necessarily...just...no going down on me this time. Sex is one thing-"

"Making love."

"-us um...us making love is fine, but I don't want to get eaten out while my period is going on. And don't show me your dick after or comment on the blood...just...get rid of it. Please. (While we don't cross the line) 1: Final Fantasy 9 PS1 ISO and emulator - free Steam - $20 Classic JRPG with a upbeat and optimistic adventure to overthrow corrupt monarchy with deeper themes of self identity, death, and life affirmation.

2: Yakuza 0 and Yakuza 6 Steam - $20 each Open world Action Beat 'em up.... TECHNICALLY. Yakuza games are about the extra content. From Rhythm game karaoke, to slot car racing, to hostess bar management sim, to dating sim, to Idol manager sim, the list is endless. Yakuza 0 follows Kazuma Kiryu as he enters the world of Japanese organized crime focused on a singular district in 1980s Japan. It's a heavy crime drama that will swing from comedy in one mission to hard hitting gritty emotions the next. Yakuza 6 sees the end of Kazuma Kiryu's involvement with the Yakuza in the same district, now in modern day, as he tries to free himself from his past and live out his future with his adopted daughter. Playing 0 and 6 back to back creates a very melancholic feeling as you can feel the age of the district as it goes from the neon filled, dirty seedy "bad part of Tokyo" into a sleek, clean, modern metropolis.

3: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Steam - $10 Despite being a Star Wars game, KOTOR plays more like the older Neverwinter Nights games with its combat, relying on "select type of attack" and "click enemy target" type controls. (As opposed to an action game requiring quick reflexes from the player). Developed by Bioware before they went on to make Mass Effect and Dragon Age, WAY before being bought by EA, KOTOR is considered one of the best non-movie stories in the Star Wars universe, full of grey morality, complex characters with well written motivations, a morality system that's more complex than just "super hero or baby killer" and an in depth look into the deeper workings of the Star Wars universe post Prequels but pre original Trilogy. (the sequel which is even better is also on Steam for $10) I am unsure if the GOG version is better or not but it's the same price)

4: 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim (Currently $30 on PS4) I still need to get 13 Sentinels and everyone who has played it has told me to go in knowing as little as possible. All I have been told is "It's Sci fi. ALL sci fi. Every sci fi trope in one game" It plays like a tactical game but I have also been told "if the look of the gameplay turns you off please don't let it! Just play it!" So there's that.

5: Grandia PS1 ISO and Emulator - free Steam - $10 +- Another Classic JRPG from the 90s, the Emulated ISO version has an "undub" that removes the poor quality english dub and re-instates the original Japanese voices but keeps all the english text. Grandia is another upbeat, positive adventure story following 3 kids, Justin, Feena and Sue as they leave their hometown to go see if there's anything beyond the Great Wall which circles the whole world, in the process uncovering political corruption, ancient civilizations, unknown countries and cultures, and long gone ancient technologies. If you like the Ghibli movie "Castle in the Sky" you'll like Grandia. I do not recommend the steam version which has an ugly filter over all of the graphics and the presentation in widescreen breaks a lot of the battles

6: Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky DX Steam - (unsure, Steam's price is coming up weird for me in $) Part classic JRPG, part time management, part recipe game, Escha & Logy is one of the better instalments in the Atelier game series where you play as an alchemist who needs to gather ingredients, develop potions, poisons and weapons for clients, and fulfil their orders within a certain time limit. Despite the Time Limit, the Atelier games are consistently described as calming and "feel good". Ryza is the latest in the series but I'm recommending Escha and Logy due to its setting. The Dusk trilogy (don't worry each game is for the most part completely stand alone) takes place in a world thousands of years after the fall of a great civilization, and the natural world is slowly dying due to unknown reasons. So of curse part of the story is to find out why this is happening... but for the most part you're just playing as a duo of alchemists trying to do your best.

7: Drakengard PS2 ISO and Emulator - free

The game where you ride a dragon in aerial battles, fight mass armies on the ground a bit like Dynasty Warriors... and where EVERY SINGLE ENDING is a "bad ending". The game with no happy endings and every character in your party is objectively a horrible person for different reasons. literally ALL the triggers for this game. But if you want a game that's going to horrify you and make you supremely uncomfortable without it actually being a horror game.... this is the one.

Also one of its endings is what starts the NieR timeline which includes NieR Automata.

It sucks! I recommend it!

8: Hylics 2 Steam - $15 I have no idea how to describe Hylics 2.It KIND OF plays like a JRPG in that the fight sequences are turn based combat... but there's no leveling system. Also it looks like this.

Just play it. You don't need to play Hylics 1 to play 2. 9: Mother 3 GBA ROM and Emulator - free Just because Nintendo refuses to translate it doesn't mean there isn't an extensive fan translation of Mother 3 for YEARS no to the point of it being available as a hard cartridge on Etsy. One of the big inspirations for Undertale, Mother 3 uses a similar but not completely the same battle system as Earthbound (also similar to Undertale's Battle system minus the bullet hell) but with a rhtythm aspect in it as well. Anyway Mother 3 is renowned to completely shatter your heart into a million pieces and make you cry so also highly recommended.

10: Disco Elysium Steam - $25 I haven't played it yet (I'm going to maybe this week) but everyone says it has some of the best writing ever in a game. I'll have to see what I think about that. However I hear it can be pretty grim. So just be aware of that.

Walking into the boys Lacrosse locker room, Scott slowly drops his bag in front of his locker, gloves falling to the floor next to it. He seems to be moving in a trance. Turns, back against the locker, his eyes look over the crowd of teammates staring in shock.

Stiles pokes his head out from around the corner.

“You apologize to Allison?” He questions.

“Yeah.”

“So she’s giving you a second chance or..?”

“Yeah.”

“Yeah! Alright! So everything’s good?”

“No.”

“No?”

Giving a heavy sigh, Scott explains his dilemma to his friend “Remember the hunters? Her dad is one of them.”

“Her dad?”

“Shot me...”

“Allison’s father?” Stiles seems shocked to hear this new information.

“...With a crossbow.”

“Allison’s--“

“YES. HER FATHER!” Speaking louder than necessary, his voice carries across the locker room and a few heads turn to see the commotion. Scott snaps out of the daze and into a full on panic. “Oh my God, oh my Godddd. What am I going to do?”

“No, Scott. Snap back. Ok?” He lightly tapped the side of Scott’s face trying to bring him back in focus. “Okay, okay--did he recognize you?”

“No, I don’t think so--“

“Does she know about him?”

“I- I don’t know, what if she does?” Scott’s face contorts in anguish as he realizes how much danger he could be in. “This is gonna kill me man.”

“All right, okay, we’ll figure it out. Just--just focus on lacrosse. Take this, take this,” Stiles begins picking up his practice pads and handing them to his friend. “Just focus on lacrosse for now, that’s all you’ve got to do.” Now patting him on the arm, emphasizing every word, Stiles tries his best to help Scott’s panic. “Here, we, go.”

A whistle rings throughout the field.

“Let’s go!” Coach Finstock yells as the players slam into each other during practice. “One-on-one from up top!”

As Jackson jogs towards the bleachers Coach calls his name.

“Jackson, take a long stick today... Attaboy.”

Coach Finstock tosses the ball to the first player, a kid named Greenberg. But Jackson is on him in seconds, smashing his stick down on the poor kid’s gloves, sending the ball flying out of the pocket.

“Nicely done, Jackson,” Coach praises. “Greenberg, that was a pathetic display of amateur ability. Do a lap.”

As Greenberg takes off into a run, the next Player charges. Scott, gazing off with far too many thoughts swirling in his head, doesn’t notice the other players backing up behind him.

“McCall, what’re your waiting for. Let’s go!”

He snaps to attention, realizing he’s at the head of the line. Coach tosses the ball. Scott goes for the shot. Running towards the goal, Jackson steps up to meet him half way and slams into Scott. A moment later he lands on the ground with a sickening thud. Coach is walking over to where Scott lays stunned on the ground.

Chuckling he asks, “Hey McCall, Hey McCall!”

As the werewolf looks towards the sky, he cradles his forearm where Jackson’s stick came down especially hard between his glove and elbow pad.

“You sure you still want to be first line, McCall,” Jackson taunts.

Gritting his teeth in anger, Scott looks up to see Jackson walking away.

“McCall, my grandmother can move faster than that and she’s dead! Can you move faster than the... lifeless corpse of my dead grandmother, McCall?”

Now seething in his rage, Scotts reveals his brown eyes which are rapidly brightening to yellow. “Yes, Coach.”

“I can’t hear you.”

“Yes Coach!” He says slightly louder.

“Then do it again.” As Scott jogs back to the front of the line, Coach calls to the rest of the team. “McCalls gonna do it again!”

The whistle blows and Scott shoots forward again as Coach tosses the ball to him. Stiles steps away from the rest of the team, noticing the change in Scott. His speed, the extraordinary agility with which he moves.

An oblivious Jackson goes for a cross check, heading for Scott with his stick horizontal even as the smaller boy hurtles toward him with ferocious speed.

They collide like two goats locking horns. Both go down, Jackson hollering as he hits the ground.

The sickening sound of bone dislodging from socket sends a cringe through Coach. While everyone else runs over to check on Jackson, Stiles hurries to Scott’s side.

“Are you okay?”

But Scott won’t lift his head, won’t reveal his face to Stiles underneath the helmet.

“Scott?”

His head tilts up to reveal the sharpened teeth jutting out from his lower jaw.

“It’s happening. I can’t control it.“

“Come, on. Now? Get up, get up.”

Grabbing him by the shoulder pads, Stiles pulls him up. As Stiles drags him off the field and toward the lockers, neither of them notice someone watching from the sidelines... Derek Hale.

The door to the darkened locker room clangs open, Stiles dragging a hunched over Scott inside.

“Get back,” Scott warns.

“I’m just trying to help--“

“Get away from me!”

His voice comes out with a frighteningly demonic rasp, head snapping around as if to rip out the other boy’s throat.

Stiles retreats, almost stumbling over his own feet at the sight of Scott’s eyes. The sounds coming from him are painful, animalistic and frighteningly aggressive.

Turning back, Scott doubles over in pain. He tears off his lacrosse gloves to reveal his sharpened claws.

Stiles keeps stepping away in fear, accidentally backing into a fire extinguisher against the wall.

The clang of metal causes Scott to whip his head around. But it’s no longer Scott under that helmet or behind those rage-filled yellow eyes.

He hurtles toward Stiles, rounding the corner of the lockers, jumping onto the wood bench and up as Stiles lifts the fire extinguisher and pulls the trigger, blasting CO2 from the nozzle. Scott’s clawed hands come up to shield his face, plumes of white surrounding him.

Darting around another corner, Stiles backs against the lockers, waiting for the next attack.

“Stiles?”

Slowly, Stiles peers around the locker row to see Scott on the floor, chest heaving with each difficult breath. He pulls the helmet off to reveal he’s back to normal. Face drenched with sweat.

“What happened?”

“You tried to kill me.”

Stiles drops the extinguisher to the floor. Still shaking and unable to conceal his anger at his friend.

“It’s like I told you. It’s the anger, your pulse rising. They’re all triggers.”

“But that’s lacrosse. It’s a pretty violent game if you hadn’t noticed.”

“Well, its gonna be a lot more violent if you end up killing someone on the field. You can’t play Saturday. You have to get out of the game.”

“But I’m first line.”

“Not anymore.”

An emotionally and physically exhausted Scott tosses his school bag on the floor and falls face first onto the bed. Melissa McCall looks in.

“Late shift again for me, but I’m taking a night off to see your first game.”

“Mom, you can’t.”

“I can and I will. One shift won’t break us. Not completely. And what’s wrong with your eyes?”

Scott glances up in alarm.

“You look like you haven’t slept in days.”

“Oh. It’s nothing. Just kind of stressed.”

“Just stress? Nothing else? You’re not on drugs or anything?”

“Right now?”

“Right now?! What do you mean right now? Have you ever taken drugs?”

“Have you?”

A question she clearly doesn’t want to answer.

“Get some sleep.”

Car keys in hand, Melissa leaves.

Scott drags himself up from the bed and hits the mouse on his computer. The moment it wakes, a web chat invitation from Stiles pops up. Scott hits accept and Stiles and James appeared in the voice call.

As Scott pops up on my screen, Stiles spins around in his chair holding a nerf gun, shooting at the camera.

“You’re such a nerd Stiles,” I chide.

Defending himself, he mocks back. “You’re such a nerd Stiles”

Interrupting our tom-foolery, Scott asks, “What’d you find out?”

“It’s bad,” I warn, “Jackson’s got a separated shoulder.”

“Because of me?”

“Oh please,” Stiles says. “It’s because he’s a tool. It’s not your fault.”

“Is he going to play?”

Relaying what Coach told me earlier, I tell the boys “They don’t know yet. But now they’re all counting on you for Saturday.”

As Scott sighs, Stiles leans closer to the web cam window, squinting his eyes at it. He seems to be looking at something in Scott’s room.

“What?”

A text window pops up the screen and Stiles types:

It looks like--

Scott’s screen starts lagging and a notification comes up across his screen saying he has a bad connection. As I zoom in on Scott’s image trying to see what Stiles is talking about, I finally see it. A dark shadow is standing behind him in his room. Leaping from my chair, I run to Stiles room and slam open the door. Pulling up a chair next to him, I meet his face full of worry as Scott’s screen continues to load.

The cursor turns into a spinning wheel, the computer momentarily hung up. Stiles’s web cam image freezes.

“Looks like what?”

A moment later, the cursor finally stops spinning and the rest of the text appears:

It looks like someone’s behind you.

Scott stops breathing. He doesn’t turn around.

Staying very still, his eyes move to his own image in the bottom corner of the web cam window. He slowly clicks the mouse, re-sizing the window, making it larger and larger until he sees his own reflected face, an expression of pure fear on it. And behind him a strange silhouette. Someone is standing there in the shadows of his room.

Scott spins around and Derek grabs him, yanking him away from the desk, sending the laptop clattering to the floor. Dragging him up, he slams Scott face first to the wall.

“I saw you on the field.”

”What? What are you talking--“

“You shifted in front of them. If they find out what you are, they find out about me. About all of us. Then it’s not just hunters after us. It’s everyone.”

“But they didn’t, didn't see anything. I swear--“

“And they won’t. Because if you try to play that game Saturday...” Derek comes terrifyingly close, right next to Scott’s ear.

“I’ll kill you myself.”

He pulls Scott from the wall and sends him tumbling across the room. When Scott looks up from the floor, Derek is gone.

The bedroom window lies open where he must have leapt with incredible speed, leaving Scott alone in his room. And shaking in fear...

New Angel is almost over and I have way too many story ideas in my head. I can’t seem to pick! I also can’t write more than one at the same time, I’s rather focus on a specific one, which is why I’m asking you to vote for which of my ideas you’d like to read the most!

I apologized for some of the synopsis I wrote, I know they’re not really clear and if you need any information on them please, don’t hesitate to ask (anon or private) about them!

AU. When they first met, Louis was all *MAIN GIRL* ever wanted. However, a decade later the high school sweethearts had change and she felt like most of the sparkles she once had were now gone. Then she met Niall and it clicked instantly and intensely and since then, they’ve been seeing each other in secret, lying to their whole entourage about the nature of their relationship. Feelings started to grow, things started to change, and maybe, just maybe, it’s meant to be. Or maybe not.

A tale of broken hearts, unforgettable love and many… way too many lies.

2. LOOK WHO'S PERFECT NOW

OU. *MAIN GIRL* finally finds out what fame is after starring in her first big movie, but she has a hard time getting used to it and getting involved in the showbusiness. Niall Horan is going through a break-up and is seen as 'the bad guy' when all he really wants is have fun and live his life the way he wants to.

The first time they meet, it's hatred at first sight, but when they both agree to sign a PR contract to restore their images, they're going to have to pretend to be head over heels in love with each other. They both decide on some rules to follow as they get more and more annoyed with each other. Even holding hands feels like a horrible chore to both of them.

If there's one thing we learned through the centuries though, it's that hatred is not that far from love, and that feelings can change when you open your heart.

3. THE DAY WE FELL IN LOVE

(best friends to lovers)

AU. Since they were kids, *MAIN GIRL*, Niall and their group of friends have always been close. They all grew up together, spent all their time together, made all their mistakes together and shared all their first experiences together.

After *MAIN GIRL* and Niall share their first kiss, everything seems to fall into place for them. At least, for a while. When everything seems to change around them and that distance threatens to tear them apart, they're going to have to fight to keep their love intact.

Sometimes, growing up is full of bumps in the road. Feelings change, friendships end, and that promise you made to your friends to meet a year later exactly at the same place is not that easy to keep... but going may change your life.. AGAIN.

4. THE BREAK-UP PLAN

AU. *MAIN GIRL* and Niall’s relationship had started when they had barely entered their teenager years. Now, over 10 years later, they feel like something is missing. They didn’t know anything else besides each other and it had to change. They still planned on spending forever together but their lack of experiences and mistakes seemed to be an obstacle between them.

They agreed on break that was not really a break. for six whole months, they would be able to do whatever they wanted to do with whoever they wanted to. Going to parties, leaving for a whole weekend with friends without giving any news, dating and even screwing whoever they wanted, nothing was out of reach.

They only had one rule : honesty. Every friday night, they’d meet and spend the whole night together, talking, making out or just cuddling until they’d fall asleep, to make sure their love was preserved.

Unfortunately, things rarely go as planned and seeing the person you love the most in the world be happy without you is something almost impossible to accept.

A story about angry tears, painful jealousy, sweet sweet revenge and realizing who your real soulmate is. Watch out, it’s gonna hurt.

5. I ALMOST CARE

AU. Niall and *MAIN GIRL* have dated and broken up a long time ago. When they both end up on a trip to Vegas with common friends, they’re not sure how to act around each other. After one evening spent completely drunk, they both wake up in the same bed with rings on their fingers. Maybe it will make them realize that sometimes, you don’t break up because of lack of feelings and that the spark never really die when love is real.

What happens in Vegas doesn’t always have to stay in Vegas…
