someone from arknights idk man (i had wanted to try passenger but i can find like Nothing i need for him online and i don't wanna make it all myself)

someone from p2 but my 2.7+ ft of hair that i have to wrestle to cram into tiny wig caps is not likely to agree with all these short-haired bitches. half tempted to just fuckin buy one of the school uniforms to wear casually to at least rep the game somehow. maybe i'll make a dialogue sign and be the horror-loving girl. bleheheh. if i really wanted to work around that i could say fuckit and be baofu LMAO. midatlantic folk if you wanna start a p1-p2 cosplay group... just sayin......

redo barriss (i wanna get full rebel legion approved babeyyyy but that fabric is pricey as hell)

fix up frederica (if possible, may not fix at all anymore, who knows)

🧶✨🌲Duil Doll Dress🌲✨🧶

IT’S DONE!!! =D

The Mini-mockup for my Thranduil Cosplay—that I’ve been talking about for legit months in posts like Elven Excalibur, Pan Flag Flower Crown, and Camouflage—is finally DONE~!!! ｡ﾟ✧.ヽ(♦*´∀`*)ﾉ.✧｡ﾟ

The doll (Duil Doll) that wears it isn’t finished yet (I need to redo the hair since it doesn’t quite work right with the sleeves AND I still need the yarn for the eyes) but he looks fantastic in this dress still (in my opinion, at least xD;;;)

And, either way, I’m just... so proud of myself xD This is the first design/pattern I’ve thought up myself and it legit turned out better than I thought it would.

((O, and don’t mind the bundle at the bottom: the picture was just so plain without them and, honestly, the orange leaves were roughs for my Leafy Vine Vest [which I haven’t talked about but am almost done with—I think lol—so please look forward to that, too!] and the Fellowship broach because I wanna make a Legolas doll, too, for both Duil Doll and myself when I cosplay Duil so I’m gonna give him a lil Lorien Leaf Broach when he’s done! The flower was random [pretty sure it’s like a year old now lol] and the green leaf [lol the legolas] was one of my first leaves ever and actually also the same as the leaves in the Pan Flower Crown just in a different yarn [they’re also meant to be American Beech Tree leaves but we’re gonna get to that Oropher headcanon later]. Lastly: I went with bell sleeves [yes I know that’s not canon/accurate] because the doll’s hands wouldn’t really fit well if the sleeves were slim/tight like they should be and I just think it’s pretty))

HI I LOVE THIS QUESTION AND I WAS ACTUALLY HOPING TO MAKE IT THIS MIRAGE MONDAY ANYWAYS!!! 🩷🤭

🩷Mirage Monday: Construction and Process!🩷

I dont have pics of the template, but if i ever remake it ill be sure to make one sorry ;; BUT before even constructing, ive found that making a small doll-sized prototype! (and fun bonus, if you dont lose yours like i did, you can use it with your monster high dolls!)

The line going straight across the horizontal center is a score line (not cut all the way through) to assist in shape! it helps to give it that little edge to it without having to glue it! i also scored it to make the rounded parts at the bottom of the neck and the inset of the eye :)

each side is its own panel, except the front that is composed of 5 panels (left and right sides, center top, chin, and under chin( and the optional stem, that i ended up ditching because it dug into my neck.

after hot gluing all the pieces together, i filled in the seams with clay foam, but that step is completely optional when working with sharp edges. after that, i spray painted it white (which i regret! it wont get the smell out of the cardboard!!!) as a base coat, but id suggest just using white gesso or white acrylic paint to help get that vibrant colors on. i used acrylic paints for the colors and a light shine finish on top! but if you wanna bypass that step, you can totally use glossy acrylics :)

the face mesh!! mine is made from patio screen, but if you can afford it, there is a mesh made specifically for prop heads that would look better !! acrylic paint also works great here. shown above is my first draft for the face that i ended up ripping off and starting over for, so be prepared to either have two in case you mess up, or start by drafting it out on plain paper to see if you like it.

theres a piece of foam at the chin for stabilization too! i put a headband on the inside for the same purpose, but ive found my hair is too long to actually use that without a wig cap, so its a little obsolete and i push it to the back while wearing it. it kinda hugs the back of my head and stabilizes it decently….. but honestly you could get that same effect with just the foam.

lastly, the mechanics!! i am by no means an engineer by any means, i just happened to have extra LEDs. The Eye is made of LEDs set into two painted ribbon spools glued on top of the mesh screen with a painted fabric-like plastic sheet (from a wig bag) to diffuse the light (and that little extra circle is just a piece of paper) .

in the back of it, i have a little switch! it comes from a pack of string lights from the dollar tree, but i had to dismantle the battery pack because the LEDs only work with 9v batteries (sad!) so i had to figure out how to make a 9v battery cover out of the AA battery pack. its a bit cheugy but its functional! if youre planning on wearing it for a long time, totally install a computer fan!!!! it gets super sweaty in there (ew!) even though the entire face is ventilated :p

i am the worst person to ask about soldering, but im positive you could find a pretty good tutorial on youtube :,) my lights run from the back battery, to the left light, to the right light, and ends at the eye (mostly because the lights had input/output on both sides and the eye did Not).

Personal Update & Doll Plans!

Maybe some important things to tell.

Glasses, Social Media & real life, a little bit of dolls

First of all: if you are reading this - thank you for being interested in what I have to say.

As I had updated not too long ago I got my next tattoo on the 23rd and it was a quite short lived decision as I had planned on doing it in February but somehow I felt the urge to do something for myself only.

It's healing well but let us come to something else...

Before I made the tattoo appointment I made an appointment to have my eyes checked. I have issues driving in the night and last month at work I had trouble to read a power point presentation.. as my last check was in 2005 I decided it was about time.

I got checked one week ago and the result is my eyes are almost perfect in regards of functionality themselves BUT I have Astigmatism, the lense in my right eye is the worse but the left isn't much better. Yep, my vision is crooked and it explains so SO much for me. Like the fact I was never able to draw straight lines even with rulers and such :') and the issues with driving at night, things are deformed for me, appear wider and broader.

Thursday I was able to pick up my very own first pair of ... glasses. I am adjusting to them now, I had car-driving glasses in before but those were plain window glass just to protect my sensitive eyes from the AC.

And it might be not a big change but right after the Connichi I had cut my hair even after having asymmetrical hair for years, it's three big changes for me, the hair, the tattoo and the glasses on top of work being absolute hell with too much going on.

I have to step back here and there in regards of hobbies and my decision is to step back from the social side, I will be using some of my social media less and less, especially when some last things are settled. I want to concentrate on the sides of my hobbies that bring me joy and not dig through dirt all the time in the little time that I have. I am actively trying to figure out how to use my main media like my tumblr blog here, you might have noticed I have started to write travel blogs and that's the route I want to go, to write down more, to share more of my thoughts, my impressions and all that.

I am reachable, I am here if you have questions, it maybe just will take a while until I reply.

I am handling a lot on top of my real life and art is a hobby, I can't juggle it all in a fair amount, i can't do cosplay, drawing, dolls and writing all at once. Writing is a priority for me same as drawing, I am aiming to do it several times a week.

I want to attend more conventions again and engage with the fandom outside of the internet, I feel like I have lost important connections and want to rebuild them, it's a progress for myself mainly.

Digging through my personal backlog of tasks is another can of worms. I just... took one bite too much too often.

But well, here I am wriggling my way through. Had a nice drawing and writing day today while I finally finished watching a series that came out in July and feel kinda proud I did it (you have no idea, the times I have actually WATCHED a show is now 6 times this year, a movie? Maybe two. it's sad I know but there is mainly just no time left or spoons for it.

I ordered the body for Bookman and am now waiting for three bodies, a full doll and a new head I just snatched last night! I hope to make the announcement for the head the next days as I made some art to go with it :)

Doesn't wanna make too many friendships as a chance she may have to leave though she is pretty lonely as she is on her own mostly with just Chestnut to comfort her.

Continues to wave awkwardly at funeral goers?

No dialogue

Writing letters

Kitchen phone legit avocado corded

Immediately hung up as it rung

Maude is a BFF

If only the house wasn't a hundred years old a creaky door would be out of the question

Tiny person ran past the ?? Behind a semi transparent wall like a toddler gait

Was some clicking like echo locations

It's doing a good job with the tension because she keeps hiding so we cant see anything

But it's also extremely childlike and comical because it's humorously chaotically running through the house making silly noises and it's like 3.5feet high

Under the bed it's little feets are basically hands

Curling iron will save you

This genius saw the thing bail out of the second story window closed the door

And then...

I guess this makes sense if you are treating an alien like a wild boar that got loose in your home and not a sentient being with space travel capabilities

Electricity goes haywire again

As obvs the thing (probably more than one) are still on the property

No excuse for why she doesn't have a cell phone except for she's clearly cosplaying the fifties and she lives in the middle of no where so no service

Possibly suggesting that alien could have been human or another species and the parasitic thing turns anything it finds into a gray

No dice apparently so house preparations

Nails and fire home alone style

It's night now and that didn't do much because

Well telekinesis dis

Nice shit of aliens retrieving the body

Almost akin to a funeral procession with invisible paul bearers

There's a theme here of her not talking

I'm emphasizing again that this is a completely dialogue-less film there are sound effects and she screams but no words

the aliens not having a clear communication that's auditory - seriously it's not like oh their language is clicks and grunts

They do not seem to have a language at all auditory range

And the towns people who got body snatched having something in their throats

Another alien (literally chilling curiously at her) disarmed her scissors but then took her little photo from the shelf

Now she mad again

That's the girl she killed her bff n her in the photo

Another alien a little one attacked her

A light tractor beam thing

Anyways i was saying themes around shame silence and being unable to speak to ask for help

These things have telekinesis but no body strength and they are really mushy i think you should just hand to hand combat girl

She tries to attack from behind but hes not the one flicks a finger and she flies through the wall

They remodeling her house???

I think all other beams have been blue

Whup alien floats up on ceiling towards her and yes it's a parasitic type thing that the thing vomited and floated into her mouth it was cute like a sea anemone they made a choice to make all these creatures a bit silly

This is the lead rapey version of a thing forcibly going into a woman's mouth as i have ever seen in a horror film

She woke up and everything is fine and her house is back to normal

And maude is alive!!!

And she speaks

I'm sorry maude

Now she puts her whole fist inside her mouth and pulls out the parasite i guess it wasn't latched yet

In addition to being the least rapey she pulled it back out of her own accord bonus points for that

It's also obviously jinn type so people wouldn't want to pull it out

The tractor beam is taking that thing

Nope it's cloning her with the dna pull from the sea anemone and now it's after her damn they make bodies quick

It stabbed her twice in the gutt

Ooo but she slit it's throat with her little safety cut knife (we already saw her tool up as best she could)

And shes now vicariously killed herself

The ship appears semi sentient and they are talking to it there goes that humor again the ship literally dropped her back out the sky with a thud onto asphalt when it's literally grass every where but that one street

Aliens literally said we ain't taking no child murder into our ranks and dipped??

After an EMDR session???

She has a more modern look now as if she's no longer trapped in the time warp of the past

What about the rest of the town

At the neighbors now she's dancing with the neighbor boy

Okay now the aliens leave after giving everyone forcible EMDR sessions like an episode of doom patrol this was just that season finale of doom patrol

New OC inspired by my most recent cosplay. Sorry.

Kyr of Clan Tol isn’t what you’d expect out of most Mandalorians. Most of the time, he’s friendly, cordial, and engaging with most non-Mandos. He may not say much immediately (until his threat assessment of you and the surrounding area is complete) but he’s totally the guy who starts buying strangers a round of drinks almost randomly.

He’ll also ruthlessly kill you with no hesitation if you interfere with whatever goal he has at the moment.

His armor is frequently mismatched, both in color and style, but there’s a reason for that. Clan Tol has no armorer. His task is to seek out the bodies of dead Mandalorians and retrieve their armor. He takes it back to his clan and distributes it to those who are worthy in his eyes. Upon his return, he will listen to the tales of the deeds of others and dole it out as he sees fit. This puts him in the awkward position of being both a detective, judge, and executioner in different ways than how many people view them.

He won’t attach a Mando to get their armor; that’s dishonorable and plain stupid in his eyes. But there were once a lot more Mandalorians out there, and with enough searching, he will find their armor. Woe betide someone who isn’t a Mando who wears it. He is crafty, cunning, sneaky, and quick-witted, and will use these traits to take you down in interesting ways.

One of his biggest flaws is his kindness and generosity, as odd as it sounds. Strength is important to him, but needless cruelty or suffering is not a thing he abides by easily. He might have to kill you tomorrow, but he won’t hesitate to help you today. It’s also why only his chest armor and helmet stay the same for very long. He’s too eager to equip others.

He also has a weakness for near-humans. He’d rather spend time hanging out with them than humans. It doesn’t even need to be sexual; he’s been running with a twi’lek for a while now, and has formed a familial bond with her. You couldn’t pay him to hang out with a Hutt, but he’d gladly sit and listen to a Zabrak mercenary gush about their wife and kids for three hours straight.

His favored weapons are blaster pistols, vibro blades, and tactical explosives set in advance to drop the building his target is in before beginning the engagement. Fight smart; it’s never a good day to die, but it’s always a good day to make someone else die through any means necessary.

He also likes plushies and dolls, though he frequently gives them to kids that take his interest.
