Begging Square Enix to put the Out of the Action+bind(Unable to execute any action or move) debuffs on party/alliance members when others are in cutscenes. I am so tired of people not having basic decency and pulling the boss early.

Heavensward and Stormblood truly made the interesting decision of putting non mandatory dungeon along the msq. Steel Vigil and Shisui of the Violet tides you are truly there.

Steel Vigil is baffling cause they could have placed the heretics and scene with Ysayle there. Instead of following an enemy npc for five miles from the river to the farm. She doesn't even fight the wol for murdering all her coworkers.

Shisui could have had the empire trying to gain access to the Shisui dungeon for treasture under the pretense of cleaning the place of monsters and "tempered". It would be a nice parallel to how Ala Mhigo was conquered. Surely Garlemald has some submarines! The wol is hired to free the ruby princess from her possession before the Garleans kill her.

I understand why it isn't done but man the game over cutscenes for Bismark and Steps of the faith were good. They could use the voice lines from the extreme and savage enrage.

Or see the wol on their knees panting with Ravana tipping their head up with his sword. ;)

Hmmm I think my biggest problem with base heavensward is that it tries to juggle with too many big antagonists at once.

The Ul'dahn resolution is inserted at stange moments including right before the first Nidhogg fight. In an expansion that deals with nations trying to return an unsustainable status quo, the capitalist oligarch city gets away with it. In the words of KH dark road Hades, all that angst and for what?

Thordan VII who got in talks with Ascians should have learnt about the echo. He doesn't lift a finger when you, member of the Scions-Of-The-Let's-Create-Peacetalks-Between-Mortal-Enemies and who can see past events, goes on a roadtrip with Estinien and would likely learn about the truth of the war.

The cool moment at the end of the Vault when they have the wisdom to try and backstab the wol is offset by the fact they got TWO more occasions to do that and don't take the chance. If Igeyorhm had the ability to stun the wol long enough to steal the key to Azys La, she had the time to stab them. (one of the reasons Haurchie's death left less of an impact on me)

Thinking again about heavensward for my AUs and while I completely understand the narrative choice to focus on Ishgard itself, the heretic factions don't interevene on the topic of Ishgard-dragon reconciliation at all. We don't even any in msq after the riots leading to the vault and Ysayle telling them the war is over.

The peace treaty with the dragons through Vidofnir is really interesting because she explicitely said her Anyx Trine fellows didn't pick fights based on Hraeselvgr' stance. Sure Ishgard was indiscriminate in which dragons it attacked but I feel like actually involving some who were actively hostile by siding with Nidhogg or heretics would have had a bigger impact.

Playing FFXIV in more than one language is driving me bonkers actually cause now I feel compelled to watch several cutscenes in four languages, two of which I can't read, for text comparison.
