I should be wearing gloves, Peter had thought too late as he paused to wipe his hands clean on his sweatpants. The more he dug through his closet, the more it began to remind him of home. "Oh, my god!" Peter chuckled and pulled out an old friend. A vintage box of the HMS Beagle. He didn't need to read the letters. He could put the box away, the unread letters still untouched, or even burned to unholy ashes, and live the rest of his life with the uncertainty. Eigenlijk verdienen Boeren de Televisiering met hun acties

Boeren gaan op 22 juni niet naar Den Haag om actie te voeren, ze gaan enkel grootschalig actie voeren in de Gelderse Vallei. Maar wat mij betreft hadden de boeren met hun acties in het afgelopen jaar de Televisiering 2022 verdiend. Ze waren origineel en indrukwekkend met hun acties op het Malieveld. Maar wat dachten jullie van deze: Ruim 350 boeren en loonwerkers reden vrijdagavond met hun versierde trekkers langs tientallen verzorgingshuizen in de elf Friese steden. Met het initiatief wilden Team Agro NL en Agractie de bewoners een hart onder de riem steken in de coronatijd. De organisatie had acht routes door de verschillende steden uitgezet. In Sneek reden ruim veertig trekkers mee. Maar dit werden helaas de winnaars van de Televisiering:

- Binnenstebuiten heeft inmiddels een grote groep fans verzameld die elke dag trouw kijken naar het duurzame lifestyle programma waarin ze getrakteerd worden op fijne weetjes en nieuws rondom huis en interieur, tuin en natuur, eten en drinken.

- Alles wat de familie Meiland aanraakt lijkt in goud te veranderen. De Meilandjes wonnen in 2019 al de Gouden Televisiering voor hun programma Chateau Meiland en nu zijn ze in de race voor Chateau Bijstand. Het programma waar Martien, Erica en Maxime de uitdaging aangingen om een maand lang om bijstandsniveau te leven. Het leverde veel sympathie op bij de kijkers (bij mij niet!).

- De avonturen van Peter Gillis en zijn Nicol blijven een hit. Na zes succesvolle seizoenen en het zevende dat net van start is gegaan, is de familie Gillis dicht bij het halen van een Gouden Televizier-ring. Kijkers houden van de perikelen van Peter en zijn strijd tegen de kilo’s en Nicol die haar eigen business begint.

- Kijkers raken niet uitgekeken op de spannende avonturen van Kees van der Spek waarin hij met een verborgen camera de wijde wereld intrekt, op zoek naar oplichters, fraudeurs, afpersers en andere criminelen. En terecht. De aanpak van Kees leidt vaak tot pittige confrontaties met de oplichters, maar de slachtoffers zijn hem eeuwig dankbaar.

- Na de succesvolle eenmalige uitzending vorig jaar, was het dit jaar natuurlijk tijd voor meerdere afleveringen. Nederland wilde meer bekende drag queens zien en mannelijke BN’ers stonden in de rij om mee te doen aan Make Up Your Mind. Aan het panel, Nikkie de Jager en Fred van Leer de taak om te ontdekken wie er verborgen zaten achter de dragpersonages. En daar zaten hele verrassende namen tussen dit jaar. Presentator Carlo Boszhard, samen met zijn man bedenker van dit programma, liet zich in de finale ook omtoveren tot beeldschone drag queen. Volgens mij waren het niet echt originele programma’s, ze bestaan sommige bestaan ook al onder een andere naam.

Maar we gaan verder met de boerenacties.

'De route in Sneek was een van de meest uitdagende routes. We gingen langs twintig zorginstellingen. Dan doe je niet anders dan straatje in, straatje uit rijden', stelt organisator Freerk Abma die de rol van navigator op zich nam. Abma spreekt van een 'prachtige' ervaring. 'Overal waren blije mensen. Bewoners van zorginstellingen kwamen naar buiten. Kleine kinderen zwaaiden vanaf hun traptrekkertje. Oude mannen langs de kant van de weg werden weer even kind. Bakkers hadden elfstedenhartjes voor de boeren en loonwerkers gebakken. Iedereen was er mee bezig. Dit verzetje kunnen veel mensen wel even gebruiken nu we waarschijnlijk met de Kerstdagen weer een stapje terug moeten doen.'

Ook in Leeuwarden heerste een goede sfeer, stelt melkveehouder en Team Agro NL-ambassadeur Dieuwke Bakker. 'We hebben kerstkaarten uitgedeeld aan bewoners van verzorgingshuizen. We waren er meer dan welkom. Er werd koffie op straat geschonken. Het publiek was dolenthousiast!’

Het grote landelijke boerenprotest vindt waarschijnlijk plaats in het Gelderse Stroe op het terrein van een boer. Het wordt georganiseerd op het terrein van familie Brouwer, bevestigen bronnen aan Nieuwe Oogst.

Volgens Boerencollectief Agractie kan de demonstratie veel verkeershinder opleveren. "De boeren zullen met eigen vervoersmiddelen komen en vaak zijn dat trekkers", zegt Agractie voorman Bart Kemp. "Dat is nou eenmaal een geldig vervoersmiddel in Nederland."

Kemp adviseert mensen die dag per trein te reizen of thuis te werken. Bij een eerdere protestactie in juli parkeerden boeren enkele honderden tractoren op het Malieveld in hartje Den Haag. "We verwachten een hele grote actie", laat hij aan RTL Nieuws weten.

Farmers Defence Force (FDF) is van plan keihard actie te gaan voeren tegen de nieuwe stikstofplannen van het kabinet. Daarbij wordt onder meer gedacht aan 'de voedselvoorziening platleggen met een leverstop en snelwegen blokkeren in Natura 2000-gebieden'. Dat zegt FDF-voorman Mark van den Oever . "Naar Schiphol kan ook. We bouwen het op en gaan door tot het af is."

Eerder noemde Van den Oever het protest van tientallen boeren vorige week vrijdag bij de woning van minister Christianne van der Wal (Stikstof) een 'topactie'. Hij sluit niet uit dat dat vaker gaat gebeuren, ondanks de felle kritiek die daarop kwam uit politiek Den Haag. "Dat zou zomaar kunnen gebeuren ja. Maar dan met veel meer. Wij zijn niet bangig uitgevallen", zegt hij tegen de Volkskrant.

Wat is stikstof?

Wat is nou eigenlijk stikstof? Stikstof is een scheikundig element met symbool N en met atoomnummer 7. Stikstof is in het periodiek systeem een niet-metaal uit de stikstofgroep (groep 15). Losse atomen van dit element zijn zeer reactief en verbinden zich, paarsgewijs, direct tot moleculaire distikstof (N2), de natuurlijke, gasvormige verschijningsvorm van stikstof in de aardatmosfeer. Moleculaire stikstof is, in tegenstelling tot dizuurstof, dat een sterke oxidator is, een inert gas. De aardatmosfeer, en dus de ingeademde lucht, bestaat voor 78% uit distikstof (stikstofgas), en voor 21% uit dizuurstof (zuurstofgas). Binnen de context van het milieubeleid wordt met "stikstof" stikstofverbindingen bedoeld (ammoniak en stikstofoxiden), die vrijkomen bij economische activiteiten als landbouw, transport en industrie. Verbindingen van stikstof, bijvoorbeeld salpeter, waren al in de oudheid bekend.

Het element zelf werd ontdekt door Daniel Rutherford in 1772. Hij noemde het noxious air, 'schadelijke lucht', omdat (vanwege de afwezigheid van de verwijderde zuurstof) een vlam erin dooft. Rond dezelfde tijd bestudeerden ook Carl Wilhelm Scheele, Henry Cavendish en Joseph Priestley stikstof onder benamingen als verbrande lucht en gedephlogistiseerde lucht. De Nederlandse benaming stikstof wijst op het feit dat het gas in onvermengde vorm dieren doet stikken.

Ik hoop dat deze zoektocht jullie een beetje op weg heeft geholpen naar wat stikstof eigenlijk is en of dit echt kwaad kan!

Trigger Warning: Accounts of Death of Over 200 People.

This post marks 100 years since the end of November of 1919: when my ancestors, their families, friends, and many members of their community were brutally massacred by Nestor Machno and his band of anarchists in Ukraine.

IF you idolize Nestor Machno or promote actual anarchy, then this post is evidence of your errant ideological legacy, so get the hell off my blog.

A meticulous written record was made of the death tolls on what was called Schreckenstage ("Terror-Days" in German) by my Mennonite ancestors in the Zagradovka Colony. The lists of those killed by Nestor Makhno and his bloodthirsty militia are grouped by village. In some cases, the manner in which they were slain was also documented. Some names may appear to be duplicates, but each listing is a different person. It was very common for sons to be named after their father or close relatives. The gene pool among Mennonites also tends to be smaller, and many of them had very common names.

At least three dozen missing were never found, most of which were from Münsterberg. That village had a population of about 100. Of those hundred, only one woman and one other family survived by hiding inside chimneys. The village was almost entirely burned, and many remains could not be recovered or identified. Today, the outlines of building foundations at what was once Münsterberg can still be seen in Google Earth or other mapping programs at coordinates 47°32'0.64"N 33°16'10.15"E ...now the ruins serve as gravestones to the missing. Of the more than 230 victims of the Terror-Days, below is the list of casualties they were able to identify.

Orloff is one of the few villages in the Zagradovka Colony that still has the same name today, though the Ukrainians adjusted the spelling to "Orlove." Zagradovka is now "Zahradivka" and lies just 4.5 miles northeast of Orlove. I wonder if the Ukrainian citizens today are aware of their local history, or the events that took place there a century ago.

Each year this is a solemn time for my family. My great grandmother was 11 years old when this happened. Her grandparents and extended family are listed among the dead. About a dozen other surnames mentioned are in my family tree. By spreading awareness of this senseless barbarity I strive to both prevent this from happening again, while honoring the memory of my ancestors.

Dierenarts Peter Klaver verdooft wasbeer Wally in Vught

Op eerste paasdag wordt Peter gebeld door de Regionale Dierenambulance Brabant Noord Oost. Een wasbeer al enkele dagen in een boom zit, moet worden verdoofd. De gemeente heeft het voornemen om die te laten afschieten door een jager, maar de dierenambulance wil de wasbeer vangen en een goede toekomst bezorgen. Of ik in de gelegenheid was nu te komen met blaaspijp of verdovingsgeweer om Wally te verdoven, zodat hij kon worden gevangen. Ik verzamel mijn verdovingsmaterialen en rij naar de mooie bossen van Vugt. Daar staan zeker honderd mensen en twee teams van de dierenambulance. Na een kort overleg met de leider van de teams, Rens van Lieshout maken we een aanvalsplan.

Dick Prikkels: De Wereld Op Zijn Kop

- Even een bijzondere mededeling: Als kroonprinses Amalia zou willen trouwen met een vrouw moet zij gewoon koningin kunnen worden. Het regeringsstandpunt dat zij dan afstand zou moeten doen van de troon, moet op de helling. Dat stelt de VVD in Kamervragen aan demissionair minister-president Mark Rutte. De liberalen trekken aan de bel naar aanleiding van het boek Amalia, de plicht roept. Daarin bespreekt auteur Peter Rehwinkel de stelling dat de kroonprinses de troon zal moeten opgeven als zij zou willen trouwen met een partner van hetzelfde geslacht. Maar dit hoeft dus niet. Ik heb nog maar twee vragen: zou de Prinses al een vriendin hebben? Krijgen we straks twee Koninginnen?

- Drie loslopende pony’s zijn woensdagochtend vroeg op de N264 tussen de Brabantse plaatsen Haps en Oeffelt overleden na een aanrijding. De Politie Oost-Brabant meldt op Twitter dat het noodlottige ongeval vanmorgen plaatsvond rond 5.30 uur. Drie pony's, die waren losgebroken uit een nabijgelegen wei, liepen op de N264 tussen Haps en Oeffelt. Een naderende auto kon de kleine paarden niet ontwijken, waarna een botsing volgde. Door de aanrijding waren twee van de drie pony's op slag dood. De derde pony is na inspectie van een dierenarts uit zijn lijden verlost.

- Als de laatste geruchten kloppen dan gaat Donald Trump zich in 2024 weer verkiesbaar stellen in de Verenigde Staten. Hij is nu net zo populair als Joe Biden. Maar we zijn dus alvast gewaarschuwd!

- Een 48-jarige Zoetermeerder is aangehouden voor het plaatsen van speakers die babygeluiden afspeelden in ondergrondse vuilcontainers. Hulpdiensten moesten afgelopen dagen zeker drie keer uitrukken na meldingen in Zoetermeer en Rozenburg over mogelijk gedumpte baby's. Uiteindelijk bleek het vals alarm. Bij dergelijke meldingen komen politie, brandweer, ambulance en de gemeente direct in actie. Bij deze melding deden hulpverleners zorgvuldig onderzoek in de containers. Daarbij is al het afval doorzocht. Dit om zeker te weten dat het niet om gehuil van een baby ging. Burgemeester Michel Bezuijen noemde de actie op Twitter een ‘misselijkmakende grap’.

- Bij een basisschool in Zoetermeer is gistermiddag een kind vast komen te zitten in een ondergrondse container. Een man die het kind probeerde te redden, kwam daarbij zelf ook vast te zitten. De brandweer heeft de twee uiteindelijk kunnen bevrijden.

- Politiechefs en de vereniging van burgemeesters in Nederlanden zijn van mening dat softdrugs het beste vrijgegeven kunnen worden. Dit zou enorm in de misdaad schelen. (?)

- Deze maanden wordt een recordaantal wilde zwijnen gedood op de Veluwe. Jagers als Leendert Houweling moeten de doelstelling voltooien. Een opdracht die hij met gemengde gevoelens aanvaardt, blijkt tijdens een avond jagen in het bos. ,,Ik bepaal zelf of ik de trekker overhaal.” Jagers staan voor een ongekende opdracht op de Veluwe. Door voedselrijke jaren zijn de aantallen grof wild geëxplodeerd. Dit voorjaar zijn ongeveer 10.000 zwijnen, 4600 edelherten en 1100 damherten geteld. Veel te veel volgens afspraken die zijn gemaakt om ongelukken en (gewas)schade te voorkomen en de biodiversiteit te beschermen. Maar het blijft wel een vreemde gedachtegang: als je honger hebt of veroorzaakt dan wordt je overhoop geschoten!

- Sigrid Kaag wist het zeker dat Johan Remkes regelmatig teveel dronk! Maar een paar dagen moest ze haar woorden terugnemen en excuses aanbieden. Hoeveel zal er na Tweede Kamer en de commissie vergaderingen gedronken worden? Dit gebeurt natuurlijk voor de nodige ontspanning, maar ik zal hier best wel eens cijfers van willen zien!

- De hit You're in the Army Now van broers Rob & Ferdi Bolland is te horen in het vijfde seizoen van de Netflix-hitserie The Crown. "Wij vinden het een eer dat onze song in de serie gebruikt wordt. Wij zijn allebei fans van de serie", vertellen de broers zondag. Het vijfde seizoen van The Crown, over het Britse koningshuis, verschijnt november 2022 op streamingdienst Netflix. Er is al bekendgemaakt dat de Britse actrice Imelda Staunton de rol van koningin Elizabeth II als derde actrice op zich neemt. Eerder speelden Claire Foy en Olivia Colman de Britse monarch.

- De concerten van André Hazes in de Belgische Oktoberhallen gaan niet door. De Nederlandse zanger zou op 30 en 31 oktober op het podium staan, maar de optredens zijn maandagochtend door zijn management geannuleerd. De zanger kampt met een burn-out.

- De wereldberoemde gorilla Ndakasi is op 14-jarige leeftijd doodgegaan. De gorilla uit Congo stierf in de armen van haar verzorger Andre Bauma. "Het was een voorrecht om zo'n liefdevol wezen te mogen verzorgen", laat de verzorger weten.

Weg met Zwarte Piet, weg met de ronde missen bij het wielrennen, weg met de gridgirls bij de F1, weg met de walk-on girls bij het darten, weg met cowboys en indianen, weg met de straatnamen van onze zeehelden, weg met mensen met een afwijkende mening, weg met partijen die trots zijn op Nederland en de Nederlandse cultuur en tradities willen bewaken, weg met een nationalistisch gevoel, weg met grappen over de islam, weg met Rusland, weg met de joden. Zomaar een greep uit het krankzinnige heden waarin we terecht zijn gekomen. Allemaal veroorzaakt door extreem-links. Een vorm van activisme dat maar één doel voor ogen heeft. Nederland afbreken en kapot multiculturaliseren. Het houdt niet niet. Niet vanzelf. Het is tegenwoordig verbinden of verbannen worden. Je moet voor diversiteit zijn, voor inclusiviteit, voor het boomknuffelen met 180 nationaliteiten, voor genderneutrale toiletten en voor sekse verandering. Vooral geen grapjes maken over homo’s, lesbiennes, bi-seksueeltjes, transgenders, cisgenders, pannetjes, queers, in dubiootjes en a-seksueeltjes. Pas op, hè. Voor je het weet heb je de Belangenvereniging van Bouwpakketten achter je aan. Ik ben gaan rondsnuffelen en schrok me kapot van het grote aantal mensen die zich met dit soort activisme bezighouden Het is geen klein marginaal groepje. Meestal wordt er gesproken over een groep van 50 kopstukken en wat aanhang, maar ik ben ervan overtuigd dat die groep veel groter is. Als we alle stromingen bij elkaar optellen hebben we te maken met een flinke club mensen die geweld niet schuwen en bereid zijn om ver te gaan voor hun idealen. Een kleine opsomming van organisaties en ik ben bang dat er nog veel meer van dit soort groeperingen zijn : de Antifascistische Aktie, Nederland Bekent Kleur, Roet in het Eten, De Grauwe Eeuw, Antifascistische Onderzoeksgroep Kafka, Kick Out Zwarte Piet, Zwarte Piet Niet, No More Blackface, Krakersvakbond De Vergulde Koevoet, Werkgroep Stop Deportaties, De Fabel van de Illegaal, Van Harte Pardon, de Partij van de Eenheid, Onkruit, No border Network, Internationale Socialisten, Block Pegida, Laat Ze Niet Lopen, Anarcho-Syndicalistiche Bond, de Nieuwe Communistische Partij, Rode Morgen, Socialistisch Alternatief, Socialistische Alternatieve Politiek, Vrije Bond, Verenigde Communistische Partij,

Ik ben ook gaan speuren naar namen van onbekende landgenoten die bekend staan om hun Nederland en witte mens onvriendelijke houding. Dan zeg ik het heel netjes : Stoffel Spierings, Richard Tuinstra, Jan Cleton, René Danen, Rob Schuitema, Maarten Hanebergh, Cyriel Triesscheyn, Eric Brinkhof, Peter van Gent, Jop Polak van Galen, Roel Buitenhuis, Kevin Marree, Gerard Jager, Paul Benschop, Ties Mouthaan, Koos Borghouts, Bart Groetelaers, Jelle Schuurman, Niels Minnaard, Frake Schermer, Sietse van Tiggelen, Arjan Pont, Adriaan van Duin, Annemarije de Geus, Dave Mahabiersing, Raymond Olivers, Ryanne Bolhaar, Kwinten Keesmaat, Maarten van Herpt, Harmke Lubbers en de Vegan Streaker Peter Janssen. Een paar van de bekendere en beruchte landgenoten die onze manier van leven haten zijn Asha ten Broek, de broertjes Al-Jaberi, Frank vd Linde, Michael van Zeijl, Wijnand Duyvendak , Francisco van Jole, Sylvana Simons, Anousha Nzume, Quinsy Gario, Anja Meulenbelt, Sunny Bergman, Jerry Afriyie, Roelof Jan Minneboo, Tunahan Kuzu, Selçuk Öztürk, Farid Azarkan, Nourdin El Ouali, Arnoud van Doorn, Jazie Veldhuyzen en good old Gloria Wekker. Tot slot de rol van de media en die rol is een hele kwalijke. De mainstream media wakkeren de strijd constant aan door deze mensen en hun standpunten een podium te schenken. Keurige mensen als Matthijs van Nieuwkerk, Jeroen Pauw, Eva Jinek, Humberto Tan en Twan Huys. Wat te zeggen van de zogenaamde kwaliteitskranten die hun oren laten hangen naar de macht van de minderheid. Zomaar een greep. NRC, Volkskrant, Trouw, Parool, Algemeen Dagblad en DWDD, Pauw, Jinek, De Nieuwe Maan, Nieuwsuur en last but not least de huissite van het linksch-extremisme JOOP. Ik wens Nederland veel succes is de strijd voor het behoud van zijn eigen normen, waarden en tradities. Het is een kwestie van tijd en dan zijn wij een minderheid. Met dank aan.
