If Peter Greene has a million fans, then I am one of them.
If Peter Greene has ten fans, then I am one of them.
If Peter Greene has only one fan then that is me.
If Peter Greene has no fans, then that means I am no longer on this earth.
If the world is against Peter Greene, then I am against the world.

It's time for Beginnings, the podcast where writer and performer Andy Beckerman talks to the comedians, writers, filmmakers and musicians he admires about their earliest creative experiences and the numerous ways in which a creative life can unfold.
Tumblr media
On today's episode, I talk to writer Jerry Stahl. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jerry won a Pushcart Prize early in his writing career before taking a detour into writing erotica and for magazines like Hustler. This led to another detour writing for TV and movies, although "detour" here might be incorrect, considering this has been a large chunk of his professional career. Jerry penned scripts for ALF, Thirtysomething, Moonlighting, Twin Peaks, CSI, Maron, Escape at Dannemora as well as films like Bad Boys II. As an author, Jerry has written a number of incredible books and memoirs including Perv: A Love Story, I, Fatty, Permanent Midnight and his latest Nein, Nein, Nein!: One Man's Tale of Depression, Psychic Torment, and a Bus Tour of the Holocaust.

can’t stop thinking about the power difference in would’ve could’ve should’ve, and the shame that comes with knowing you were more impacted than the other person. that they got under your skin and fucked with your head in a way you could never match because you didn’t have the experience they have. in the first verse, she bitterly calls herself a splatter of paint – she affected him and his reputation, she shows up on his skin, but she can be removed from it easily. she feels permanently corrupted – he has her faith, her innocence, her girlhood. but he can just wash his hands and dismiss what he did to her. she can’t even get him to fight her because she already lost, so she fantasizes about it in her sleep. even when she’s hitting him where it hurts, she’s the one living for the thrill of it – any hurt he might feel is more important to her than it is to him. she’s waiting for a sign, but he never gives it. and she’s left trying to claw him out of her, trying to become the person she was before him, becoming more and more desperate, but she can’t. she’s forsaken her beliefs and herself for him, she can’t take that back. and he still gets to pretend his hands are clean.

I'm still thinking about that scene in Victoriocity S3E7 where Fleet runs back towards the Beast so as to lure it into the path of the train...
Clara's exclamation of 'Teamwork, Fleet!' after Fleet says he's got a plan reflects her conviction that any plan that Fleet has will be a shared plan, something they do together.
This conviction is a kind of trust, and that trust is part of the reason Clara takes a moment to realise Fleet has headed back towards the Beast. She trusts that he's following behind her. She keeps talking to him, her words full of optimism.
When she realises Fleet isn't there, she immediately realises what that must mean he's done, and her voice sounds more small and scared than I think we've ever heard it before.
Fleet's attempt at self-sacrifice is a kind of betrayal of Clara's trust, but when he echoes her celebration of their teamwork in a more somber tone, I think it suggests that he understands the weight of that betrayal.
If Fleet's plan is that Clara won't realise he's gone until it's already too late, then he thinks "Teamwork, Clara" will be the last words he'll ever speak to her. In what he imagines will be their final conversation, Fleet affirms Clara's understanding of them as a team who work well together, even as he is making a choice that rejects the possibility of their teamwork in this scenario. It's a recognition of what their dynamic has meant. It's a goodbye and an apology, even if Clara doesn't understand it as such at first.
I don't think Fleet sounds scared as he initially faces down the train. When he shouts "Yeah, this way, you stupid machine! Come on then!", he sounds defiant and grimly determined.
In fact, I don't think he sounds afraid until Clara appears, until she might be at risk of being in the path of the Beast or the train as well. It's when he shouts "Clara, stay back for God's sake!" and "Please, get back!" that there's real fear and desperation in his voice. He can confront the idea of giving his own life, but not the idea that doing so might put Clara in danger.
Another thing about these lines is that the move from 'stay back' to 'get back' suggests that Clara didn't obey his first instruction but got closer to him (and therefore to the path of the Beast and the train) between those two lines.
Then Fleet gives what might be another attempt at his last words: "I'm sorry! I'm sorry."  A repeated apology before an attempted self-sacrifice is an implicit acknowledgement of how much losing him would hurt Clara. He regrets causing her pain.
Even so, he's accepted that he is about to die and that it'd be worth it to destroy the Beast. But Clara very much hasn't accepted either those things. She's still trying to yell over the noise of the train; she's pulling off her ring to throw at him.
I think it's a good illustration of how Clara's optimism is a kind of strength. She always believes that they can "make a new plan" and that it'll be one in which no one has to die. I think Archibald Fleet needs someone like that, someone who'll tell him to drop to the ground when his death advances from both sides, someone who - even in a dark tunnel with an murderous metal monster and a speeding train - won't stop shouting that there's hope.

Can’t sleep, thinking about transfem Sunny/ forced-fem Ifrit, who’s so pliable when he’s high and even more eager to please than usual. And he just lets Sunny make him all pretty, giggling and rubbing his two brain cells together while she puts makeup on him. But it’s only so she can see red lipstick smeared all over her dick and watch streaky black tears running a down Ifrit’s cheeks while she fucks the back of his throat. Has to pay for dry cleaning after because only a slip belonging to Cumulus would fit him and they didn’t even ask first.

It's genuinely wild how I saw the poll prompt and Immediately thought of seven separate guys who fit. And in the next two hours I had three more. It's so specific why are there so Many
Creators will see a blonde boy with both arms ask "is anyone going to remove those?" and not wait for an answer

Its being while that I made mh fun predictions posts. So lets talk about collecting monster talismans subplot...
At this moment Boo Crew have collected 3 talismans:
Clawdeen's got Moon Claw aka Werewolf Talisman (from her mother) as 15th birthday gift in "The Monstering"
Tumblr media
Frankie found "Frankenstein talisman" in Dr. Blunder old lab thinking its could be nice franken-dog tag for Watzie in "Unfinished Brain-ness
Tumblr media
Cleo got "Mummy talisman" with Heart of Cleopatra (from her family) in "Pyramid Scheme"
Tumblr media
Only leaving 3 talismans left. I have theory for potential future episodes that mh main characters need to find it before big event.
As for Lagoona centric episodes:
Most likely appear in episode "Fresh Waters Run Deep": According to summary.
As Gil trains for the Deep Waters Challenge, he realizes that Lagoona is actually the right monster for the job.
I have feeling that perhaps the sea monster amulet is in bottom Deep Waters. And Lagoona's bravery and determination she will find it plus we seen photo of her wearing the talisman with probably Gil
Tumblr media
As for Draculaura centric episodes:
There two possibilities episodes
1. "Spell The Beans" special. As Draculaura has a big decision to make - does she finally tell everyone (specially her parents) that she does witchcraft.
Perhaps after confessing about her witchcraft and proving the witchcraft can do good things for monster society. Her parents give her special amulet as gift for being excellent student.
2. "Witchful Thinking"
Perhaps Draculaura's is so focus about entering special witchcraft camp. That she didn't research about whereabouts of vampire talisman. Maybe she can new talisman using her witch powers
I know there other Draculaura episode called "Best Fiends" where she and Toralei are stuck together. Probably its character development for Toralei to understand about Draculaura and her fascination about "human" magic.
As for Deuce centric episodes:
The only episode about him is "Stone Alone": Where Deuce has overcome is insecurities. Maybe during the trip he can find "gorgon talisman"
There also two episodes: "Pet Problems" and "Monster Match" that he being shared screentime with Cleo and Frankie
That's pretty much it. Reminder its pretty much speculation from my part. And I could be wrong.
Its just silly prediction

Does anyone else feel like they’ll just be permanently ugly?
Like, no matter what hairstyle you try, or type of fashion, or style of makeup, or 18 step skincare routine, you’ll always look out of place? Like there’s very clearly something wrong but you don’t know how to fix it? Meanwhile your friends or family or just strangers you see around all look so beautiful or handsome or perfect without really trying too hard? They’ll try a new workout routine and in two weeks look curvy or more muscular while you’re pushing through your third month with no change. Your friend will give curly hair a try one day and look like a model, but if you did that to yours it would look like a horror movie villain. You see strangers out wearing all different kinds of fashion, from oversized shirts to business casual to athleisure, and they rock it no matter what, but you still look like a toddler who dressed themself. It’s just not fair how large the gap is between people who were born pretty and those who weren’t.
I got a wolf cut not too long ago as a treat to myself before college and I thought I would look really good, like the pictures on Pinterest, but it’s flat in the wrong places and poofy in others so I look like a 12 year old boy with a bowl cut, or like there’s a beehive under my scalp. And I see people just around my town who look so good with the hairstyle I wanted while I’m just a mess, and it’s just so exhausting trying so hard to look halfway attractive while everyone else seems to roll out of bed and be beautiful.

If theres one book I would like to write, its about sending the message that there is no such thing as beautiful love. There are always going to be fights, pressure to appeal to social norms, pressure to break them, anxiety, tiredness, distance, struggles inside or outside the relationship and how its the same for every kind of relationship: familiar, romantic, platonically, sexually ect.
But overcoming them and both doing what they can to make said relationship last even just a bit longer, feels so satisfying.
Let everyone hold a mask and you will never expect that the closest people around you are the ones that dont look like you had thought they would.
