She's equipped with a backpack/A.I. hand built by Clemont to protect and provide for her. Having earned a Junior Trainer's License at 6, she's been raising her starter, Kommo-o, for several years prior! She travels through Alola to collect Z-Crystals and challenge the League!

She's accompanied by her Ash's Pikachu's son, Pika! Though, with his many years of experience under his belt, battling with her father's inherited Pokémon would be rather unfair. So, he mostly acts as a guide and guardian to her and her traveling companions, for now.

I don't care much about fankids so it's not something I think much about. Also it's not something I have interest exploring with pearlshipping tbh (again, in my ideal sceneario they keep traveling till the end of times)

Is just... I dont want to have kids so I don't see the appeal of giving kids to my fave charas either :v So... I hope you dont mind that my answer is just "non existent" lol

Name: Linden Ketchum

Gender: Male

General Appearance: Long, dark bluish greyish hair tied neatly into a bun. Blue eyes, behind rectangular glasses. Genial disposition, if a bit scatterbrained. Often in a lab coat, following lab safety instructions. Neutral colours, jeans. Tall, but not imposing.

Personality: A curious soul who gets absorbed in his work. Kindly and polite, he's rather soft spoken and has a dislike of public speaking. Writes and explains well, although he may ramble off into long discussion and use overtly flowery academic language. Patient. Difficult to anger, but tends towards passive-aggressiveness rather than outright confrontation. Calm as a cucumber, everything'll be alright.

Special Talents: Deciphering extremely bad handwriting. Of course, most of it is his own. Fills out Sudoku puzzles very quickly. Plays good chess, surprisingly good poker. Excellent luck when gambling, but he's not one for gambling in the first place, so his sister jokes it's wasted on him.

Who they like better: He likes both pretty equally, but probably Dawn.

Who they take after more: Neither, really. I don't know. Ash and Dawn strike me as more extroverted and energetic, while Linden tends to be pretty lowkey. Probably the calmest one out of the family.

Personal Headcanon: He studies chemistry. In particular, he's looking into the chemical makeup of Pokémon secretions, with a focus on arachnid silk. Ariados is his starter, but he does get a whole team of bug Pokémon for research reasons. Has a best friend called Spruce (Conway/Paul, according to my notes app) that I never got around to drawing.

Name: Haze Ketchum, shortened from Hazel.

Gender: Female

General Appearance: Dark blue hair, tied up in a sort of a cross between a bun and a ponytail, held together by a triangular hair clip. Brown eyes. Blues and yellows, clothing that's athletic and tends to be easy to move around in. Short, but loud. Often seen climbing on things that should probably be left alone.

Personality: Loud, enthusiastic, and determined, unafraid to pick a fight if she thinks someone's wrong. Easily provoked, thin skin, but doesn't hold grudges and likely to forgive quickly, make up, and try to be friends. Makes friends (and rivals) super easy, too. Goal setter, go-getter who seizes opportunity by the shoulders. Will cheerfully attempt to help people if she thinks they need it - she always has to step in. Somewhat impatient, always has to be moving. Despite her ditziness, she does attempt some regulation of her appearance, particularly her hair, which she hates it being messed with.

Special Talents: Has flashes of intuition and sudden understanding when she clicks with her Pokémon, which allows her to excel at double battles. Surprisingly good observation, for someone who finds it hard to sit still. An affinity for trouble and explosions. Also, a knack for being charming and innocent looking enough to get away with things.

Who they like better: Both, but probably Ash?

Who they take after more: Ash...

Personal Headcanon: She does both the League circuit and Double Contests, because she's got an interest in double battles, and there's no offical full League style competition for that yet, just the occasional one stop stuff. Would probably really enjoy the Battle Frontier. Flashy combat style, which she uses to cover up any tricks and plans that she has going on underneath. Her starter is a Shinx.

[[Hey hey!! I know it’s been a while since I’ve written stuff but I wanted to write something for my wife @floaromanights with her kiddos!!!]]

“His mother called him Wild Thing,” Dawn’s voice was soothing as she read to him, Tarran peeked out from behind his blanket to look at the pictures on the book she held.

The book had a boy on the cover, leading monsters through the jungle. Tarran felt the soft press of her lips against his forehead before she continued, “And Max said,-” but she was cut off before she could finish by the door flying open. Tarran couldn’t help but scream as his father yelled, “I’LL EAT YOU UP!”, with a grin on his face and Tarran’s younger sister, Victoria, in his arms.

Both were dressed in white suits with wolf ears and whiskers. His baby sister giggled as his father stomped over, a golden crown on his head. Above him, his mother laughed, “And he was sent to bed without eating anything.” Soon his sister was set down on his bed and he felt more at ease while his father acted out the words his mother spoke.

….

“And they roared their terrible roars,” Ash filled the room with a mighty roar, Victoria catching on quickly, she looked over at Tarran and giggled as she howled at him with her tiny hands out like claws. “And gnashed their terrible teeth and rolled their terrible eyes and showed their terrible claws!” It was then that he was pinched in the side by his mother, who grinned at his jump from the sudden touch.

And his mother continued, “And they were frightened and called him the most Wild Thing of all, and made him the King of all Wild Things!” Tarran looked up as he felt his father place his own golden crown on his head. Tarran reached up to adjust it as Ash climbed into bed next to him, pressing a kiss to his cheek.

“And now’, cried Max, ‘Let the Wild Rumpus start!’” Ash’s voice was so deep Tarran could feel it in his chest, and as if on cue, Victoria was up and jumping on the bed as if she were a Wild Thing herself. (Which didn’t surprise Tarran, she was a handful, his mother and father MUST have gotten her from the Wild Things!)

Dawn continued the story as Ash pulled Tarran out of bed and jumped around the room with him until Tarran was panting, but he was having too much fun to care. He yelped and yodeled, howling long and loud as he and his sister danced around the room like the true Wild Things they are.

Until Tarran, King of all Wild Things, grew tired and yawned his tired yawn, and blinked his tired eyes and was tucked tight into his soft bed by his father, his golden crown now laying on his nightstand. “And into the night of his very own room, where he found his supper waiting for him.”

Dawn handed the book off to Ash as she leaned down to give Tarran a kiss goodnight. “And it was still hot.”

And before Tarran knew it, his room grew into a forest, and grew and grew until he found himself dancing with his mother, father and sister like all Wild Things do when it’s time for bed.

Lance- My NOTP for themThis is the part where I confess I don’t usually have NOTPs. Unless it’s a popular pairing or one I see a decent amount of content for I don’t like I don’t usually consider a ship a NOTP if I don’t ship or find it weird. So…. none for Lance.- My BROTP for themI like the idea of Lance and Clair being really close. More like siblings than cousins. - My OTP for themLance/Ethan (JohtoChampionShipping). 22. What is their relationship like with friends/acquaintances/rivals?

Friends

Bella: Tori’s best friend. They’re sort of childhood friends, as they’ve met when they were 8 and talked online until they day they both started travelling together. Bella’s 9 months older though, so she had to do some things on her own in Hoenn but as soon as Tori turned 10 she left for Kanto. Their personalities sometimes clash, as Tori is extremely energetic and reckless whereas Bella is (or considers herself to be) more mature and levelheaded, after all… after I wrote her I thought her voice would 100% be Pile/Maki’s. But most of their conflicts happen because they’re both too stubborn for their own good. Despite this, they’re both very supportive of each other and when they had to separate because their dreams were taking them in different directions they cried for hours.

Gabbi: they met while Serena and Shauna were visiting Kanto. Since they’re both energetic and loud, they get along very well. When Tori started her gym quest in Kalos however, they also began a rivalry while Gabbi was rechallenging the league.

Wade: close childhood friends and travelled together through Sinnoh. Tori compliments Wade’s shy personality well, by standing up for him when people are rude and often encouraging him to break out of his shell more. Wade has a crush on Tori, but she’s unaware.

Ebony: another very close friend of Tori’s. Despite Ash and Iris meeting often due to their champion roles, Tori and Ebony never got a chance to meet. It wasn’t until Tori first came to Unova when Iris suggested that they travel together and so they did. They get along well and they hardly argued, as Ebony is an excellent problem-solver and knows how to avoid conflict in most cases.

Jackie: since the Weisses and the Ketchums are family friends, they always visited the Veilstone gym to catch up. Tori and Jackie bonded quite well through teasing Tarran, and since Maylene was away when Tori wished to challenge the Veilstone gym, she actually had a battle with Jackie and won 3 vs 2. 

Acquaintances

Sierra: they have mutual respect but they never really got a chance to form a close friendship. Since she’s Tarran’s best friend she often visited the Ketchum residence but they mostly had awkward small-talk and resumed to doing their own things.

Brooke: similarly with Sierra, despite the Ketchums and Sketchits being family friends their personalities just don’t bounce off one another. 

Elijah: only met a few times while in Kalos when she met with Tarran.

Rivals

Tarran: wants to consider him a rival anyway. Despite the fact Tori is a better battler (makes sense since Tarran’s dream isn’t to be a trainer) she has huge amounts of respect and looks up to her older brother. In fact, she made him promise that one day they’ll meet in the finals of a league. Tarran wanted to keep her promise, but he’s never reached a high enough position in order to fight her in the finals. However, in the Sinnoh League (and Tarran’s final gym quest), they got a chance to battle against each other and Tarran felt like his promise was somewhat fulfilled and after the battle he told Tori about his actual goals.

Anthony: rivals in contests. Since Anthony’s an extremely passionate coordinator whereas Tori focuses on gyms a bit more, she has yet to surpass him. Though she can be a huge sore-loser, she sees him as motivation to improve. 

Amy: Tori’s biggest rival to date. Though Amy has a different approach to training than Paul did in his younger years, she’s just as skilled. Being four years older also meant she had a lot more experience, but she was impressed with how Tori came close to being equal to her. 

Elliot: became rivals in Sinnoh after Elliot teased Tori as being “daddy’s little girl” and “failed Ketchum”, mostly because he expected more of Ash’s daughter since he’s a big fan of his. Those accusations caused tension between the two and indirectly between him and Tarran despite never having formally met because if that’s what he thinks of Tori (the more successful sibling) then his opinions of him would’ve been harsher. Over time, they begin to be more friendly as Tori proved herself as being a competent trainer every time they met and taught Elliot to not judge someone from first impressions alone. (originally my ship for her but I think she deserves better.)

Kedrick: never met, but saw him on TV. 

24. How do they get along with their parent(s)?

Very well! They all have a healthy relationship as a family overall. However, Tori bonded a lot more with Ash but she still loves Dawn, obviously. 

Dawn is able to give Tori more honest constructive criticism and she never misses any of her contests and calls after every gym battle so she knows the result. Ash and Tori have a more friend-like relationship (with inevitable cringy dad jokes though) but he’s often her biggest cheerleader too (you should’ve seen him at the Indigo&Sinnoh leagues…. the whole stadium could hear him when Tori and Tarran were on). I think I’ve made a more in-depth post about it, but after her first league loss, which she took incredibly hard, he’s the one who told her to see losses as chances to learn instead of feeling angry, etc.

I’ve decided I’m gonna do both cuz why the heck not lol.

I have kind of long answers so they’re gonna be under the cut.

Up first, IkariShipping!

The ship is my:Unfortunately, this ship is one of my NOTPs. I had pretty bad experiences withIkariShippers in the past who would always bash on other ships—especially PenguinShipping,which was my OTP towards the end of the DP Saga, and is still very dear to myheart. I also just… really hated Paul. I hated how he treated his Pokémon andhow he acted towards others. I know he kinda changes for the better at the end,but I can’t really bring myself to like him.

I consider thisship’s feelings: Mutual | Mixed | Strange | Awkward | Platonic |Sibling-like | One-sided | They don’treally like each other|

This one’s a bit harder since I didn’t watch all of their “moments”together. I never got any implied ‘romance’ or that Paul felt… well, anythingtowards Dawn. I think they kinda got better as acquaintances towards the end,but I’m mostly going off what I remember from their interactions.

Perhaps if they did decideto try dating in the future, I feel like Paul would still prioritize histraining over establishing a romantic relationship (which I can’t see him interestedin to begin with). It probably wouldn’t last very long lol.

I feel like in general, Paul wouldn’t want to have children,as it would take away time that he could be spending training, which is why Ichose No. But in terms of my Fankid AU, I could’vechose Yes because Dawn accidentally got pregnant while she and Paulwere seeing each other, and Paul was not entirely happy about it. Dawn chose tokeep the baby and gave birth to their son Alex, but they had long sinceseparated. So I technically have an IkariShippingfankid, but that doesn’t mean I like, hardcore ship it lol.

 General Opinion:Meh. I don’t hate it as much as I used to when I was younger lol, but it’sstill kind of a no-no for me. And I’m very happy to know IkariShippers who arewaay nicer than the ones I knew in the past, and are much more respectfultowards others’ ships :)

Now for PearlShipping!

The ship is my: Oneof my old OTPs when I was watching the DP Saga haha. I slowly lost interest init overtime though, and ended up shipping PenguinShipping instead.

Ash and Dawn were pillars of support for each other duringtheir travels, and they had that cute high five of theirs, so I definitely haveto say they have a healthy relationship!

Since I don’t ship them romantically, I have to go with No for this one. But I have seen manywonderful PearlShipping fankids on Tumblr!

 General Opinion: It’sa very nice ship, and I like their dynamic a lot! I might not ship itromantically anymore, but I do value their friendship c:
