Dark Argyle (Darkgyle) verses are flexible in terms of backstory, but you can rest assured that it’s Plad’s fault.

Generally, it’s safe to assume that Plad kept thwarting Argyle’s attempts to escape the Empire, and/or bringing him back once he escaped, and that combined with even further souring relations between them and Plad’s desperate attempts to discipline and regain control of his son...

Well Argyle hits a point where he can’t keep bending. He must either collapse, or snap.

And he chooses snap.

Well, this is new. She's known him to be a heavy drinker but for some reason, the walking insurance liability isn't doing his usual habits. Was there a reason in why Vash wasn't being his goofy self today? Not like she cared or anything but something was a little off and it didn't take a genius to figure it out.

except for the three times when roku assisted him at the fire temple, unlocked his state by himself under ba sing se, and after defeating ozai, every time aang goes into the avatar state, the state is triggered by a near-death experience or extreme rage and/or grief

i don't know about you guys but for me the fact that the grief of aang caused him to react with such an uncontrollably strong response (literally as strong as a response could get) so many times in the span of the series just shows me as a visual representation the sheer amount of stress he had to go through as just a 12 yr old child

the sheer power and destructibility of his anger - his emotions as a whole - if he let uncontrolled, he was afraid of himself (as shown on the episode where he has nightmares of himself in the avatar state, and when he closed in on himself when he led people through the serpent's pass after losing appa)

there is a reason why the avatar isn't to be revealed to the person until they are at least 16. aang wasn't ready, and he was forced by the weight of the world present himself as ready, useful, worthy of being the peacebringer of the world, with a contant threat of death or loss on his back, his cultural identity as a identifying mark to hunt, without an exit

I need to write about how Farscape does women because there are so few shows even now that seem to actually get it

Aeryn isn't a masculinised woman who struggles with repressed feminity (AHEM AHEM TNG) she's a soldier who was never allowed to be soft or intellectual and she remains a capable soldier with a more healthy emotional life

Chiana is a hypersexual tomboyish rebel who uses socially inappropriate behaviour to escape a repressive society where healthy emotional expression is dangerous - wait now I need to compare their arcs wow

Zhaan is the reverse of the trope Aeryn subverts, trying to control her aggressive nature because she wants to be a healer and peacebringer, and that is a character type I'd love to see more of

I don't really have much to say about the later-season girls because Noranti is hardly there, I never cared more for Sikozu, and Jool is... well she's cool but I don't really understand her arc especially in Peacekeeper Wars

But the original lineup? 😍

The plot, writing, characterizations, and the emotions made me put my phone down either in grief or delight, but I would immediately pick it back up. Only few fanfics have managed to move me this much and bring me close to tears.

Ive been playing city of heroes again and ennoying it alot. The last time I played my focus was Sunshine. A martial artist who inherited an amulet that allows her to teleport. She has no power aside from this gift! She just throws punches and kicks and is a real tough bitch to take down. I love her. Hee real name is Samantha Rowan and has a tie in with Moon Caller, my first character on Rebirth.

She likes to wear armor as protection including advanced versions of medival knight armor.

This time around I have been playing two characters. Light Storm and Star Soul. Light Storm is a kheldian peacebringer. Her body is merged with that of a energy being from beyond the stars. I dont have a backstory as i redid her gender and threw out her old backstory. I like the female models alot more than the male ones it seems. But ill update when i do.

Star Soul is Jerren Rayse, a staff fighting mutant and old man extrodianaire. He xan generate extreme amounts of heat and control his internal temperature. Hes also a speedster because I wanted one! Ill make more though. He will refuse to be an incarnate when the time comes because he detests the havoc they wreak. Instead he will train others to use the powers better than the current incarnates. Hes my fire farmer.

Im also making more characters too because I cannot be stopped. Iwant another speedster that I will take out more often than Star Soul. I want to do an archer. I also want to make an angel for shits smd giggles. That might be Divine Soul, my ice ice blaster ive been power leveling.

I have the altitis again god damn and a fire farmer to make leveling a bit more bareable
