Due to Unity's decision to charge developers for game installs, I've cancelled my Parsec subscription. Unity purchased Parsec in 2021, which at the time seemed cool - I love Parsec, I love what it does, and I loved that they now had a bigger company behind them to bolster their efforts.
Welp!
It really sucks - I love Parsec, and I'd planned to use Parsec in several upcoming projects, including an online tournament for a very, VERY old Amiga game. But I can't support a company who is now actively seeking to hurt small developers.
Incidentally, if anyone can recommend any alternatives to Parsec, specifically for remote gaming, I'm all ears!

last refs relating to Zenith's story for now... Patera and Parsec are "antagonists" of sorts to the main four, though calling them that is something of a joke.
Of course, they have their own weird subplot thing going on as well

It's completely coincidental but I found it interesting nonetheless: Leonard Nimoy's birthday is March 26 (3/26 in the American date format) and a parsec is 3.26 light years. I know it doesn't mean anything but I think it's still interesting that an icon of science fiction shares this with a parsec, a unit of distance used in astronomy that sounds sufficiently sciency that it's often used in science fiction. Further coincidental is that .26 of a year is 94.9 days and April 5 (First Contact Day) is the 95th day of the year. Birthdays mean a lot to me and I actually share Nimoy's birthday so I thought this was pretty cool and wanted to share.

Did some doodles about some space story OCs, about a rockstar, some wacky aliens and his son.
Zach is the human, who is fascinated with aliens, space and music. The two aliens siblings are Galaxia, and Parsec. Galaxia is a human curious alien scientist, and Parsec is a battle hardened warrior. Epsilon is an alien hybrid created with Zach's DNA.

Nautica, except it's her Titans Return toy so she's a Headmaster, with her partner/head Parsec. A companion piece to that Windblade I did.

Parsec the fairy from the online book Scionsong. This took me a lot longer than expected, but it was an interesting challenge to me to translate the obvious insect inspiration of the fairies into something nice. Parsec has modified her wings to be feather-like, but still seem to be based on insect wings at their core nature, so I went for a modification the looked birdlike, but had the insect wings as feathers. Another nice question is how much of the fairies that are covered by an exoskeleton and if they have any internal bones at all. Anodyne's art seem to suggest both, but I tried going full exoskeleton just to really drive home the non-human look. Turning almost everything iridescent turned out to be harder than I'd thought.

In the interstellar community, advanced materials engineering and automated repair work have led to the rise of rampage habitats - county-sized cylinders built with the purpose of letting you romp around in a giant body. Is it realistic? Probably not. Am I including it in my worldbuilding because it sounds cool? Absolutely. Happy Macro March, everyone!

Not exactly Worms-related but my main blog is full of bitching about things so I'm dropping this basic explanation of Parsec here.
I just tried going to W4M's online today, without any success, and I don't understand shit people are telling me.

Parsec
Introduction The parsec is a unit of length used in astronomy and astrophysics to measure astronomical distances. Due to the vast scale of the universe, conventional units like meters or kilometers are inconvenient for astronomical distances, so larger units like the parsec are used instead. Definition The parsec (pc) is defined as the distance at which one astronomical unit (AU) subtends an…
