I would like to announce a wonderful new connection to a local Parrot Rescue in my area. KiKi's Legacy Parrot Foundation care for and rehome parrots who for one reason or another are in need of new homes. I have in the past helped make their feathered friends veggie cakes with our bumper crops from the garden, and fresh veg this year. They were so kind to offer me some discarded feathers for my pottery. I wanted to give a huge shout out. Never had I thought to go from chicken and guinie to macaw or other exotic birds. But what beauty. And why not do so for a cause.

So I will share with all as I can who (the bird) donates their feathers, and if they are looking for a good forever home. So keep your eyes out for a new best friend.

Please note Parrots have lifespans much like humans, 40-80 years depending on type. A true possible friend for life.

Meet Mischa, the donar for my first collection of exotic feather pots. These fethers were collected from her grooming at Kiki's Legacy Parrot Rescue where she and many others are looking for forever homes.

Misca is a big beautiful scarlet macaw. Macaws are known for their their striking colors and she is no exception, her size and coloring make her something to behold. She is a hands on bird and would be a great addition to a loving family.

Each of my Exotic Feather pots will be marked with the birds name and day the feathers were collected. If you would like to share in the story you can collect a pot and possibly find a forever friend.
