I watched this tutorial on lighting and posing and had to try it's tips out!

I'm really happy with the colors I ended up with, especially the sub-surface scatter on Paninya. But a lot of this pic feels very artificial to me. Maybe it's just a lack of practice using these techniques. Or possibly the cleanness of the lines revieled a stiffness in my posing that I didn't notice before.

Next step to incorporating the lessons in is to use them with my favorite textured brushes instead of being so careful with hard-edged brushes. I think that'll help me figure out where the "artificial" feeling is coming from.
