Within the layers of becoming are the treasures of discovery💫 Light, color and darkness… all weaving in a dance of meaning. What does it mean? Do we always have to know? These different stages of the painting show the evolution of an image based on some fundamental principles of the Mischtechnik as demonstrated by Ernst Fuchs and evolved to be conceptually transmitted using acrylic (as in this example) or in other mediums. This was created as an exercise for my 6 week seminar with @vitra.academy that is now coming to a close this week! I plan to offer this exercise and more as individual packages for those of you who are curious to dive into this practice on your own time. 📍Leafy Texture ❣️ Guide: First, start with good watercolor paper, which gives you all that lovely painted texture when finished. Multi-media paper is the next best thing, but really, textured watercolor paper just holds colors like no other. Next, you use what I think is the best watercolor paint for kids, namely the liquid type. I’m not sold on any one brand, they all seem to work fine. Seaming Cynical 📸
I stop caring about what people think about or say for my art. Art isn’t just paint and brushes. Sometimes it’s raw material that you can’t hide for. It’s emotional damage poured over into something beautiful. It’s whatever that isn’t normally said. And over the past years I’ve seen so much push and pull with thoughts about my body. Just within my own head. I have tried to be the most productive in going to the gym but now I’m just like…. Fuck it.
I will always be this size. And I don’t plan on changing anything. I plan to be healthy enough to enjoy living some more. That’s all I need.

I've been fascinated with the outstanding #longexpsoure and even #intentionalblur photography by from-another-era Google Create friends like @markhurn_art and @cdmandich. One of these days I'd like to explore that more. While working on a photo blog post, I just came across this photo of a Eurasian titmouse (blue or great) and I rather like it. So instead of tossing it, I better share it right now without overthinking it too much - because it might not make it into the blog post about German winter birds (to come out later today). But I'm feeling quite inspired to purposefully take long exposure photos of birds in flight. Maybe more to come...
