Anyways, hc time:

Paint roller’s main hobby is to skate, not paint

But he wishes to improvise his painting skills and met up with adeleine

He absolutely adores her and her painting skills

Adeleine teaches him how to draw better, but also unintentionally teaches him the painting magic (that led paintings came to life)

He thought it was so cool it became his main ability (plus he was a commoner to begin with, there’s no skating ability)

In the meantime they’re friends, adeleine also picked up skating

But she’s bad at it :( not stopping her from trying though

Pro-tip for painting with rollers: i'm a complete amateur but i needed to paint some cabinet doors with latex paint, leaving as smooth of a finish as possible. Prevailing wisdom suggested I use sponge rollers, but they were absolutely awful when it came to consistency and leaving uneven marks. So then i looked up "sponge rollers leaving marks" and the top results were "don't use sponge rollers, they're trash" so lol

anyways, what i ended up doing was going through a series of short nap (short fiber length) rollers until i finally gave in and bought the pricey rollers. however, in this case they were 100% worth it for the job they did. an actual example where money = quality

These 3/16" mohair rollers sold by Redtree are worth every penny. The website only sells them in bulk, but you can find them sold via other hardware stores or online. night and day difference between some synthetic weave and mohair. if the rest of their paint products are as good as these (they have longer nap rollers and brushes) i think all future house painting jobs are going to be using them

Paint Roller!

We're finally reaching the end of Kirby's Adventure... after 57 years... but we still got a Boss Rush ahead of us! Paint Roller is the second boss of Kirby's Adventure, after fighting Whispy Woods. They appear as the boss of Ice Cream Island, although they don't particularly fit into that level's theme or anything. Paint Roller's boss fight is very unique, as 4 canvases are placed around the boss arena that Paint Roller will skate between. They then stop at the canvas, and draw one of 8 different things. Said drawing then pops right off the canvas, coming to life! Most of these drawings provide a Copy Ability, but can also simply be used to spit back out at the boss. HAL seems to be very attached to this idea of an artist boss that creates magical drawings that attack you, because they've done it a lot. But I'm not complaining, I think it's cool every single time. Paint Roller in particular is actually one of my favorite character designs in the entire series, I love this guy a lot. Just such a simple but charming design, I'd love for Paint Roller to appear more often. Besides appearing in Adventure and it's remake, they appear as an opponent in Avalanche, and then return as a boss in Canvas Curse, which is fitting. Technically the bosses in Canvas Curse are magical drawings that have come to life themselves, so there's some weird layers to the idea of a living Paint Roller drawing... Also I find it funny that this character is called "Paint" Roller, despite the fact that they're almost always depicted holding a crayon. The wordplay was too good to pass up I guess!

Could I give Palette Knight a pair of roller skates? I feel like they’d like to roller skate :]
