Dumbledore is a Manipulative Piece of Shit: Part 4/?

(part 1, part 2, part 3)

He knew and allowed Harry's abuse

Well, this is a pleasant subject, isn't it? Harry's abuse at the Dursleys' hands. And the worst part about it is that no adult in his life really seems to care.

I'll talk about the Weasley parents in a different post. This one is dedicated to Dumbledore and how he always knew about Harry's abuse and allowed it to persist. For years. Not just once, Harry started Hogwarts. No, I think Dumbledore knew what was going on at Number 4 Privet Drive long before Harry stepped foot in Diagon Alley.

And more importantly, I can prove it.

So, I'll cover my evidence according to the order of the quotes that appear in the books since there is quite a bit to cover.

And yes, I know Dumbledore calls the Dursleys out in Half-Blood Prince:

“You did not do as I asked. You have never treated Harry as a son. He has known nothing but neglect and often cruelty at your hands. The best that can be said is that he has at least escaped the appalling damage you have inflicted upon the unfortunate boy sitting between you.”

(Half-Blood Prince, page 55)

But this scene is the definition of "too little, too late" considering how long this has been going on.

So, let's start:

“Nah. Dumbledore gave me the day off yesterday ter fix it. ‘course, he shoulda sacked me instead — anyway, got yeh this.…” It seemed to be a handsome, leather-covered book. Harry opened it curiously. It was full of wizard photographs. Smiling and waving at him from every page were his mother and father. “Sent owls off ter all yer parents’ old school friends, askin’ fer photos… knew yeh didn’ have any…d’yeh like it?”

(Philosopher's Stone, page 218)

Hagrid can't keep a secret to save his life, we know that, and he isnt the brightest, with all his good intentions. Yet, even he noticed something's wrong with Harry's home. He knows Harry doesn't have photos of his parents, he knows he never got any gifts.

"But that's not Dumbledore,"

True, but Hagrid tells Dumbledore everything. So if Hagrid knows, Dumbledore knows.

“I told you, I didn’t — but it’ll take too long to explain now — look, can you tell them at Hogwarts that the Dursleys have locked me up and won’t let me come back, and obviously I can’t magic myself out, because the Ministry’ll think that’s the second spell I’ve done in three days, so —” “Stop gibbering,” said Ron. “We’ve come to take you home with us.”

(Chamber of Secrets, page 31)

“It was cloudy, Mum!” said Fred. “You keep your mouth closed while you’re eating!” Mrs. Weasley snapped. “They were starving him, Mum!” said George. “And you!” said Mrs. Weasley, but it was with a slightly softened expression that she started cutting Harry bread and buttering it for him.

(Chamber of Secrets, page 39)

Both these quotes from Chamber of Secrets show Fred, George, Ron, and Mrs. Weasley clearly knew what was happening. That Harry was being locked up and starved.

Harry really, never kept his abuse a secret and is quite open about informing anyone who'd listen to him about it. He is just used to it being brushed off as something unfortunate that nothing can be done about. The Weasleys, McGonagall, Dumbledore, Remus, and the entire Order of the Phoenix treat it as such.

In OOP, Harry references needing to duck from Vernon's beatings as a joke to Ron and Hermione. He wasn't keeping it a secret.

On the same vane:

She had no idea that Harry was not following the diet at all. The moment he had got wind of the fact that he was expected to survive the summer on carrot sticks, Harry had sent Hedwig to his friends with pleas for help … Hagrid, the Hogwarts gamekeeper, had obliged with a sack full of his own homemade rock cakes. (Harry hadn’t touched these; he had had too much experience of Hagrid’s cooking.) Mrs. Weasley, however, had sent the family owl, Errol, with an enormous fruitcake and assorted meat pies.

“Why didn’t you tell me you’re a Squib?” Harry asked Mrs. Figg, panting with the effort to keep walking. “All those times I came round your house — why didn’t you say anything?” “Dumbledore’s orders. I was to keep an eye on you but not say anything, you were too young. I’m sorry I gave you such a miserable time, but the Dursleys would never have let you come if they’d thought you enjoyed it. It wasn’t easy, you know. . . . But oh my word,”

Harry wrote everyone he knew he was being starved. He wrote Hagrid and the Weasleys, and they all sent him food. The adults sent him food without bothering to ask him the important question: "Why aren't you being fed?"

(Order of the Pheonix, page 22)

This is the most damning evidence against Dumbledore.

He knew. He knew how Harry was treated his entire childhood because he had someone spy on him for years.

Mrs. Figg knew how Harry was treated by the Dursleys. She calls it: "miserable". She knew.

And she was sent there on Dumbledore's orders, meaning she was a spy. because let's be real, a squib, who can't do magic and doesn't own a gun can't do anything to protect Harry. She can only be there to spy. To report everything to Dumbledore.

This proves, more than any other quote here, how okay Dumbledore is with Harry suffering at the hands of the Dursleys.

Next moment he jumped as the lock gave a loud click and his door swung open. Harry stood motionless, staring through the open door at the dark upstairs landing, straining his ears for further sounds, but none came. He hesitated for a moment and then moved swiftly and silently out of his room to the head of the stairs. His heart shot upward into his throat. There were people standing in the shadowy hall below, silhouetted against the streetlight glowing through the glass door; eight or nine of them, all, as far as he could see, looking up at him.

The entire Order was there, at Number 4, Privet Drive. They've been following Harry since he got there. Tonks has seen Harry's bedroom. I don't think they missed something is definitely wrong. (I think this is why they tell the Dursleys off at the end of the fifth book and Dumbledore again in the sixth because someone else finally knew and Dumbledore had no choice but to address it)

And to make sure the Order is aware something's wrong between him and the Dursleys (that being an understatement), Harry outright tells Lupin:

“Excellent,” said Lupin, looking up as Tonks and Harry entered. “We’ve got about a minute, I think. We should probably get out into the garden so we’re ready. Harry, I’ve left a letter telling your aunt and uncle not to worry —” “They won’t,” said Harry. “That you’re safe —” “That’ll just depress them.” “— and you’ll see them next summer.” “Do I have to?” Lupin smiled but made no answer.

Harry makes it very clear the Dursleys don't care for his safety and that he never wants to return to literally everyone he can.

Why then? Why would Dumbledore want Harry abused?

“She’s evil,” said Harry flatly. “Twisted.” “She’s horrible, yes, but . . . Harry, I think you ought to tell Dumbledore your scar hurt.” It was the second time in two days he had been advised to go to Dumbledore and his answer to Hermione was just the same as his answer to Ron. “I’m not bothering him with this. Like you just said, it’s not a big deal. It’s been hurting on and off all summer — it was just a bit worse tonight, that’s all —” “Harry, I’m sure Dumbledore would want to be bothered by this —” “Yeah,” said Harry, before he could stop himself, “that’s the only bit of me Dumbledore cares about, isn’t it, my scar?” “Don’t say that, it’s not true!”

Harry said it best here: "for his scar"

In the previous posts, I covered how desperate Dumbledore was at the end of the war for a win, so much so, he might've forged a prophecy. And I explained he needed Sirius Black out of the picture for the same reason he wanted Harry at the Dursleys and wanted him mistreated — confident boys with a good support network and emotional regulation don't make very good martyrs.

In part 2, I mentioned how Dumbledore knew since the night the Potters died that Harry is likely a Horcrux. He has been manipulating Harry's life since then to achieve his grand plan of killing Voldemort. Even if it comes at the price of Harry having anything resembling a childhood and a life.

You dont have to defend and twist the actions of the antagonist if the story to like him you dummy, accept he commited some war crimes on the way and move on, i know i sound like a broken record but the bad takes that surround Otto are too much.

I know we all are waiting for the eventual reveal/ confrontation of the real identityes of the Forgers, the ones im actually most excited about is Yor and Yuri finding out out about their real jobs.

Like their entire lives revolved around supporting each other trought any means so the other wouldnt have to suffer. Yor became an assassin at a young age to financially support Yuri so he could have a better future and Yuri did the same when becoming an SSS oficer, to thank Yor for all she did and build a safer country for her.

Finidng out that all the deaths, all the lies were basicly for nothing, because Yor had already seen the ugly side of the world for so long and been a part of it and Yuri blodied his hands for Yor in the exact way she hoped it wouldnt happen.

It would completly destroy them both but also Yor now also has the Forgers, she has a new objective to protect her new family while Yuri has no one, his world still revolves around Yor and the truth would shatter everything he knows and his objectives

And i cant wait for it to happen in the manga

Interpreters are Artists!

Anyone can interpret nature through art! It is an interdisciplinary way to reach many audiences with different means by peaking different interests in art (music, dance, theatre, visual art)! They often encourage viewers to interpret in their own way and not to think about what the composer meant for them to learn (page 228).

There are many arts in interpretation: theatre, storytelling and poetry, music, dance, and visual arts. In the past I never thought to interpret art during my science journey, but I have since learned that art can integrate biological and social sciences, and emotion and intuition, for effective communication (page 218). I always expressed love for nature through visual art but never thought that my photography could be shared to help people learn and interpret to have meaning, they always were something personal and meaningful just to me.

Yes this owl is beautiful, but it mainly means something to ME as a symbol of my passed Grandpa. What could it mean to someone else? I hadn't thought of that...

“The gift of beauty” to me means that we should not allow others to destroy nature for their own profits at the expense of others (page 41). Nature is a gift that sustains life, provides humans with sustenance, and helps with individual growth as a person (page 46-47). Being able to see the beauty in everyday life ensures good mental and spiritual well-being and allows feelings of love and belonging, esteem, and self-actualization (page 47). Interpreters help people develop an ethical sense of place and role in their world (page 54) which allows their audiences to appreciate the landscape and nature. This gift allows us to be well-rounded people and allows for health in many sectors of your life. The gift of beauty allows people to exercise in these spaces (physical), relax or get inspired (mental), and gather with friends (social). The gift that nature is allows us to flourish in all aspects of our lives because of the beauty it provides. If the space was not beautiful, it may not attract a wide variety of people and thus the beauty that draws people in allows us to directly benefit in various aspects of life.

“The gift of beauty” could also be interpreted as that you see beyond selfishness and are able to see that nature is beautiful. There is no doubt that some people will exploit nature for their own profits at the expense of everyone else (page 41) but some people can see past their greed and have the gift to see the beauty that nature is and all it has to offer as it stands! It allows the ignition of the participants’ fascination and curiosity surrounding the natural world (van Boeckel, 2015). See beauty can move people in many ways and can strike on emotions and empathy which can help with change of how we currently live to more sustainable because we do not want to see this beauty disappear!

This is beautiful and perhaps you just see a waterfall, but to some you feel peace when you see this! How could someone tear this out and build housing here? If there was a motion to develop this area, and this photo was shown, how would society react? It may be controversial to tear this out if this is the photo that they are sharing of the space to develop. Might get public uproar and may to too controversial to continue because of the power of its beauty!

Honestly, though, I just wanna take a sec to appreciate Bump again, because I feel like he’s had one of the steadiest and subtlest character developments of the show. Even when he let Luz in to Hexside he noted that he’s ‘not a stooge’ and wouldn’t rat her out, but at the same time he was incredibly beholden to the coven system, requiring her to join a track until the school nearly got knocked apart by a basilisk, sucking up to the ‘inspector’ for funding, etc. Now he’s not just letting students multitrack, but he’s actively fighting against the Emperor’s Coven for them. This man is heading a rebellion to recover a student who’s basically been arrested without charge. I appreciate him.

Prompt: sand

Sirius flops down on the towel he's spread out, utterly exhausted. He misses half of it, landing partially in the gritty substance beneath him but not caring enough to move. He closes his eyes, but keeps one cracked enough to train it on a babbling Harry, teetering back and forth as he searches for balance, sitting near enough that Sirius can reach him if needed.

He'd thought this would be a good idea. A day out, away from their home that's steadily becoming stuffier and more confining with each passing hour. Sirius is willing to admit his sudden burst of inspiration had maybe been more about him than his godson. But now he's realizing his mistake, the errors in his thinking.

Who brings a two-year-old to the beach alone? What's a toddler meant to do here other than try to continuously wobble his way into the waves to drown and die, driving his godfather to quick insanity? It's too warm, too bright. There aren't nearly enough people wandering about, something Sirius had originally thought would be a good thing. And he is itchy. Sirius groans a little as he thinks about the very long drive here, how useless it had been, and Harry giggles between his senseless chatter beside him.

"All right, mate?" says a voice above him, a shadow falling over him, blocking out the sun sending him to near blindness. "You look knackered or half-dead. Can't figure out which."

Sirius opens his eyes, blinks twice, then squints at the man staring down at him, brown eyes flared with mirth as they flicker to Harry and then back to Sirius. He takes in the stranger's unruly mop of waves falling over his head, brown but almost golden in the sunlight, his gaze dropping lower to admire sun-kissed skin, faintly red in places and gleaming brilliantly. Sirius gapes for a long moment before he comes back to himself and pushes himself up to sitting.

"Er, yeah. Yeah, fine," he manages, shaking himself mentally.

The man's lips twitch a little at their corners, amusement clear. "Sure about that?" he says as he drops down into a crouch beside Sirius. "You seem uncertain." His head cocks a little to the side, staring at Sirius like a curious owl. His breath hits the base of his throat and stops. Sirius swallows.

"'Course, yeah," attests Sirius, voice only wavering a small amount. "Just, y'know, beach day with the sprog. He likes the water too much."

This close, Sirius can see the salt staining the man's flesh. He watches as the stranger flicks his tongue over his lips idly and wonders if they taste like it. Then those brown eyes are shifting over Sirius' shoulder, focusing on something else, and Sirius rounds. Harry is moving, toddling away slowly. Sirius begins to go after him, but Harry stops a few paces away, sitting again, and Sirius returns to rest for the time being.

The man hums a little. "Beaches are difficult places with young children." His gaze settles back on Sirius. "No one helping you?" he inquires, and the question sounds leading.

"No," responds Sirius quickly, probably too quickly judging by the way the man's eyes dancing with humor. "No one, no."

"That's a pity," remarks the stranger, but he doesn't look very apologetic. Then he says, "Sand."

Sirius blinks in confusion. "What?"

The man chuckles and motions with his head towards Harry. "Your kid's eating sand," he informs calmly.

Sirius' head whips around so fast pain bursts through his neck, searing up into the back of his skull. "Harry, no!" he cries, lurching to his feet and darting for the toddler. He hears the man laughing behind him as he goes.

Prompt: purple

They have an agreement. Or, better said, Sirius set forth a condition, and Remus had decided to go along with it. It had seemed better than the alternative at the time, and he thinks it still does, but sometimes he's not entirely certain anymore.

The two of them have been carrying on for a few months now. It had started as a half-drunken kiss and groping session that had left them awkward around one another for a while, at least until Sirius seemed to have become curious or impatient enough to try it again without the alcohol buzzing their heads into a weird sort of static.

But Sirius is nervous, still figuring things out – and scared, though he'll never admit it, at least not yet, and never outside of the darkness encased behind closed bed hangings – and Remus supposes he is too. He has no idea what this makes him or even who he is anymore. But if there's one thing Remus is solid on, it's Sirius Black.

So Remus had readily agreed. They hide it away, don't admit to what they're doing to anyone, barely speaking about it with one another except in the dark and the quiet, where secrets are kept and held close, safe. Protected.

"What's that?"

James jabs a finger toward Sirius as they walk over the grounds, returning from the greenhouses. Sirius pulls back, casting their friend and disparaging glare as he knocks his poking hand away.

"What're you on about?" he asks, James' hand still fighting to get at Sirius' neck.

"That," says James pointedly, and Remus sees it just before fingers latch around the top of Sirius' scarf that's slipped down enough to reveal the bruise that's blossomed like a glorious little claim. James yanks the fabric away, Sirius squawking in protest, still trying to battle him off. "Godric on a fucking erumpent. Who gave you that thing? It's bloody massive!"

His eyes are bulging behind his glasses. Beside Remus, Peter is gawking, open-mouthed, looking a little impressed. But Sirius is looking increasingly like a caged animal, trying to hide it away, his shoulders slouching with that easy way of his that Remus knows is anything but, a practiced gesture learned at a far too early age. He doesn't say anything, never so much as looks at Remus, but his mouth is tightening around its edges, a tell-tale sign of danger.

"It's bright purple," manages Peter finally, sounding amazed. "Like Dumbledore's robes purple."

James smirks as he studies his friend, eyes sweeping his neck appreciatively. "Those girls, huh? One of them is hiding something feral," he remarks cheekily, and Remus barely fights off the flush creeping up his own neck. Sirius doesn't deny it, only rolling his eyes, and Remus feels something in him shrivel just a little, only enough to really matter. "Look at that, lads. Seems like Padfoot's found himself a keeper."

Remus purposefully looks away, eyes tracking another group of students as they enter the castle, but they snap back as Sirius speaks.

"Think I have, yeah," he mumbles, sounding as though he's mostly talking to himself, but his gaze is fixed intently on Remus.

"What?" demands Remus, voice far higher pitched than he's currently comfortable with, though there's not much he seems able to do about it.

"Er, what?" intones James, some of his amusement dropping away, replaced by a perplexed expression.

Peter glances between them all. "Sorry, but what's happening?"

But Remus doesn't have an answer, only able to stare at Sirius, watching that wonderful smile slowly spread across his features, grey eyes warm and dancing. He looks as he does in the dark, when it's just them and their secrets. He looks like Remus' Sirius.

Sirius suddenly breaks the eye contact, gaze flickering over Peter before settling on James. "It's from Remus," he says, his tone casual. "The mark."

James gapes as Peter looks at Remus in astonishment. This lasts for nearly a minute before:

"He what?" he shrieks, and then he's lunging forward, tacking Sirius to the ground. Sirius grunts, protesting loudly, but James only ignores him through their tussle. "Why the fuck didn't you tell me, you twat?"

"Gerroff me, Potter," grumbles out Sirius, though the words are muffled, his face currently buried in James' armpit.

Peter and Remus stand back and watch them, not offering to help. Peter finally shifts his eyes away from their shouting friends and looks at Remus speculatively.

"Did you really give Sirius that mark?" he asks curiously.

Remus hums. "Did, yeah," he responds.

Peter only nods, his eyebrows lifting a little as he turns back to watch the show, laughing as Sirius lands a solid kick in James' kneecap.

Prompt: steal

"Did you steal it?"

"What?"

"Don't give me that innocent act. I know you. Where'd you steal it from?"

"Why in Godric's name would I steal it when I can easily buy a hundred of them and not make a dent in my vault?"

"I dunno, do I? Just seems like you."

"You're a prat and a twat."

"Oi! That's rude and uncalled for. Wait until I tell Remus. Then he'll never say – "

"Shut up, you nonce! He could be home any second."

Remus is in fact home, has just returned, walking into their flat and finding the voices of James and Sirius coming from behind their closed kitchen door. He stands outside it, listening to Sirius' hissing and James' muffled complaints, imagining Sirius' hand clamped firmly over their friend's mouth, his eyes bulging irately behind his glasses.

"Urgh. Your hand tastes disgusting. Do I even want to know where you've had it? And why are you always sticky? It makes no sense. What do you do all day?"

"Ask your mum," says Sirius offhandedly, sounding distracted.

"That was also uncalled for."

There's a pause and then, "Yeah, all right. Wasn't thinking. Sorry, mate."

"Forgiven. I'll just never look at you and her together the same way ever again, but it's fine. Why'd you hide it in the coffee? Wouldn't a drawer or something have been better?"

Sirius grunts. "You know Moony. He won't go near the stuff. Says it smells too strong until it's brewed, and even then, I typically have to wait for him to leave before I can make it."

"Clever," remarks James, sounding impressed.

Remus snorts to himself silently, rolling his eyes. He slowly pushes the door open just as James say, "Well, here. Let me see the bloody thing since you went to all the trouble of digging it – Remus!"

Sirius' eyes widen comically, James' mouth dropping open as Sirius' arms dive behind his back.

"What're you two doing in here?" asks Remus easily, face remaining neutral.

"I didn't steal it!" is the first thing Sirius shouts, and then he's blinking, a frown pulling into place. "Oh, er. Nothing. We're not doing anything. Prongs was inspecting my coffee. Thinks he might take it up instead of that piss he drinks."

"Oi!" cries James, rounding on Sirius with a glower. "It's not piss!" Sirius waves him off, and James grumbles under his breath, turning back to Remus. "'Lo, Moony. Good day?"

Remus hums, staring between them. "Fine, yeah. Think I'll go have a bathe," he says, beginning to retreat out the door. Sirius smiles almost manically at him as he goes.

When the door closes, he hears Sirius release a large breath before he whispers in very loud Sirius fashion, "Think he suspects?"

"Nah," denies James effortlessly. "You were just as smooth as you always are. Like cats running into metal bins."

"Wanker."

"Trigger-tongued pillock."

Remus chuckles to himself as he walks away. He'd in fact been in the coffee only two days before, planning to swallow his dislike of the smell and make it a surprise for Sirius. Remus can't fight back the spreading smile as he thinks about the ring he'd found stashed inside.

Prompt: cheap shot

"Harry has what?" exclaims Sirius, eyes bulging a bit.

Remus doesn't even look up from where he's scrubbing at a difficult spot on a dish. "A boyfriend," he responds easily, voice distracted.

"And he wants to…bring him here? To our home. To meet us." Sirius huffs out a breath. "I don't like it."

Remus drops the dish, finally giving up with a small sigh. "What's there not to like?" he asks, grabbing a towel to dry his hands. Sirius rolls his eyes and pushes him out of the way, his own hands dipping into the hot, soapy water. This is his job anyway. Who does Remus think he is, washing his dishes and bringing strange boys into their home that have some sort of infatuation with his Harry? "You haven't even met him yet."

"He sounds like a nonce," grumbles Sirius, digging furiously at the stubborn spot. He's beginning to think it's a chip in the porcelain instead but refuses to give up so easily.

Sirius hears Remus grunt faintly. "That's a cheap shot. Harry clearly likes him."

"First crush. Means nothing," says Sirius flippantly, waving a sudsy hand in the air, splattering their cupboard faces with the substance, though he doesn't much care.

Remus hums, and Sirius can see his brows arching high from the corner of his eye. "Really?" poses Remus, a large edge of judgmental sarcasm in his voice. He sniffs when Sirius doesn't respond. "Not his first."

The plate clatters from Sirius' suddenly limp hands, his head whipping up so quickly it makes him mildly dizzy. "What?" he squeaks. Remus smirks and Sirius clears his throat. "What – what d'you mean?"

"Haz has had other crushes. Even had a girlfriend for a time. Not very long, mind. Maybe a fortnight."

"A girlfriend?" His voice is back to a weak squeak. "You knew about this?" Remus hums again. He looks so bloody smug that Sirius wants to jam soap up his arrogant nose. "And I didn't?"

"Seems to be the case," remarks Remus, resting his hip against the counter, head cocking a little, amusement clear in his expression.

Sirius is silent for six seconds before he bursts, "He can't have a boyfriend!" He shakes his head. "Girlfriend! People! He can't have people! He's a baby. He's our baby. No, absolutely not. I won't have it."

Remus snorts. "He's sixteen, Pads," he attempts to argue.

"Baby," reiterates Sirius stubbornly, crossing his arms over his chest. Remus looks him up and down for a long moment, and Sirius can tell by the gleam in his brown eyes that he'll not like what's about to come.

"Need I remind you," he begins slowly, "how old we were the first time I let you in my pants?"

Sirius chokes. "Who said anything about pants?" he nearly shrieks. He snaps his mouth closed and clears his throat again, his voice a forced low rumble in his chest the next time he speaks. "You said nothing about pants. He's a baby, Moony," he whinges, dropping his act quickly.

Remus only smiles a little at him before turning and walking from the room.

"Remus!" shouts Sirius after him, tone a bit pathetic. "Remus, don't walk away from me! No pants for Harry! Wait, no. That's not what I meant. Hang on a tick, get back here!"

James eyes his friends curiously. Sirius is acting...well, like Sirius, only more irritating than usual.

“Moooooony.”

“No,” states Remus, and Sirius deflates.

“Aww, c’mon, Remus,” he barters, stepping a little closer. “I’ll make it worth your while.”

“No, Padfoot.” Sirius pouts.

“What’s he on about?” questions Peter, his head tilting to the side a bit. Remus sighs.

“You probably don’t want to know,” advises Remus.

James chews it over, watching Sirius still pouting, arms crossed petulantly over his chest as they walk down the corridor.

“No, I think I do. I think I have to know,” voices James, and Remus rolls his eyes, glaring a little at Sirius.

“He wants me to take him to the Prefects’ bath.”

“Oh,” says James and Peter at the same time before James continues. “Yeah, really didn’t need to know that. You’re right.”

Sirius suddenly smirks and leans in close, positioning his mouth beside Remus’ ear. He whispers something the other two can’t hear, but they watch as Remus’ eyebrows creep higher on his forehead.

“We’re off to the bath, lads,” announces Remus abruptly, grabbing a smugly grinning Sirius’ wrist in his grip and tugging him away.

“What d’you think Pads said to him?”

Peter shrugs. “I’m guessing we don’t want to know that either, mate,” he says wisely.
