Uh uh what happened to Nyx? Was she found out? Did she out herself thinking Resisty was done for her goal complete? Was she collateral damage sweep up in the conflict?
She wasn’t careful enough!
close to the end of her stay with the Resisty, she was more open about her calls to the Tallest. Lard Nar noticed one night and didn’t want to believe it, but OF COURSE the first Irken they trust betrays them. DUH. stupids. Not wanting to cause an uproar on the ship, he keeps it to himself until he can think of some way to get rid of her.
the huge fight happens only a couple days later anyway, and I go back and forth on what happens to her honestly: either she gets caught up in the chaos and the Irkens don’t care - this one was on the enemy side, so they don’t hesitate to kill her. OR, they knew of the plan all along, and since they’re here now working on ending the Resisty threat, her work is done and therefore she needs to go and that was part of the order. No need to keep any risk around, tallest forbid she got some ideas while staying with them.

(actually TOO soft) or really. i just cut it up too small. and in left over bacon grease cause. no lard...#AND. crisped in the air fry cause our broilers broke/never worked in the first place.#BUT POINT IS. hey i havent cooked food this way b4 and it is tasty.#small victory

OOC: Resisty Weekly News
This Week: New problems
@agnt-of-chaos , Dib, got out of the tank. It was a great relief to everyone, especially Agent Overlord, @resisty-zim . Agent Discord, @the-cooler-gaz , had given them blankets as well.
But the relief was short lived because as soon as Dib was able to walk again, Red caught them both and the trauma specialist helping them, @t-am-i . Their kids, Drow and Zia, snuck on the ship with their parents, no one noticed them.
@commandor-lard-nar was after them as soon as possible, but he didn't get there in time. Red had both Zim and Dib vivisected to study them and Zim lost an organ from the ordeal. It grew back at least.
Zim and Dib were rescued before too long, with help from Tami, but they would both take awhile recovering.
Gaz had taken Purple/Tyr to go shopping with her and Agent P, @resisty-tak .
@agents-pinkies Skoodge/Artichoke was not doing great with his recovery, so far only barely remembering @zee-of-the-irkens before getting a coma. He woke up before too long, remembering everything, and tried to help solve a mystery regarding @skoot-over--u20disconnected .
Smeet Tenn was building robots and talking to a new friend. She also had some cuddle time with Lard Nar.
After recovering, Zim had a bout of difficult hormones and he and Dib dismantled a part of his base during it, planning to use the parts to build a new ship. The hormones at least gave them a very nice few days before the next problem.
Tune in next week to find out what happens next.

Item: Reticulation Matrix / “Reality’s Song”
The presence of “supernatural” or other bizarre, unnatural phenomenon represent a stain in the organization of the universe. Each wandering, untethered spirit an aberration, each undead a roaming error in the overseeing cosmos.
Surely, somewhere, there is a force in the universe that understands something has become unbalanced by the mere presence of these things. Something that knows the rules of reality are being subverted and ignored. This is true, but the something that knows this is reality itself.
Theorized and designed by a brownblood known as ‘Garsad,’ the Reticulation Matrix is less a specific device and more of a specific song. Through extensive mathematical and musical study, multiple sleepless days of work, and more than a few conspiracy theories, “Reality’s Song” was created.
Reality’s Song is not good. It has no melody or rhythm to it. It was not meant to. The notes it produces are that of pure mathematics given audible form, the language of the universe made manifest. To most, this is merely a highly unpleasant noise. To those creatures of the supernatural variety, and lesser forms of undead, it is much more. It is reality itself asserting rightful dominance, weakening and harming them as the rules of the universe scream and wash back over those who would defy them.
Each Reticulation Matrix, of which there currently exist only two, is highly specialized and calibrated to produce these notes. One of them will not function outside of a highly specialized cybernetic shell. The other is fitted with corrosive agents on the inside in case of any form of tampering, to destroy the delicate workings within should some enterprising soul try to steal its design.
Its exact effects are not known. Due to its very nature, field testing was almost impossible to perform, especially since the second model was created only recently. However, there is little doubt that it actually works - the only known wielder of Reality’s Song can attest to such.
Those that happen to wield “magic” should take care, as magic itself is an aberration of the highest order against the rules of the universe. Who knows what might happen to someone carelessly using such when Reality’s Song is playing?

making homemade stock is great til your whole apartment just absolutely reeks like chicken
#eliot posts#help me i am in chicken scented hell#i didn't even have any veggies to add to it bc ive been busy and know any produce would prolly rot#but i didn't wanna waste a perfectly good chicken carcass (that i ate all the meat off of over the course of a couple days lol)#like there's so much bones and connective tissue n whatnot and homemade stock is great to add to many dishes for that good umami#i'll just have to add extra aromatics to whatever i end up adding the stock to to compensate#but yeah the lack of veggies means it is JUST chicken scent#tho i started seasoning my cast iron halfway through so now it also smells a little like burning lard and iron
