So after that whole Nidhogg Disaster, Chuu gets to work rebuilding Tuesday with new under-works; more durable, more responsive, and- somewhat as a punishment, pain reception (and, like a week later, pleasure receptions.) It also cut down the bulk of his weight a good deal- no longer built like a war-machina the size of Maggie compacted to the size of a Viera, lmao. (He gets 'skinned' after this, but there was no point putting artificial skin and sculpting a faceplate if the base wasn't going to take the Anima core properly.)

It's a very exciting time. He has to learn to walk all over again :')

holly black for real writes books like they’re mid movies from 2008 and it is sincerely one of the most beautiful and real things ever. the cruel prince trilogy excluded from this sentiment because i haven’t read and wouldn’t know if that’s its vibe. well that’s not true i read the cruel prince but NOT in the booktok way i read the first book when it came out when i was in high school and then i entered my illiteracy era and never read the next two. i have them, one’s even a signed copy i just haven’t had the time to get around to them and also i’m lowkey prejudiced against them because of their booktok popularity. those annoying ass people don’t even know my friends hazel and ben evans. who btw would have slayed in a low budget fantasy action comedy rated pg made in 2006 released direct to dvd with the ugliest and most captivating cgi you’ve ever seen in your life. starring some dude who was not famous at the time but became so in 2011 as the faerie prince. god i can see it now. actually to be fair this could never have been a film in 2006 because there’s gay people. if it was about two sisters tho instead of a sister and brother it would have. and nothing else about it would change and i would have watched it so many times i scratched the dvd. but well that is not the world we live in we live in the world where it’s just a book nobody has read but me by an author who’s popular for other stuff. and you know the worst part about the cruel prince getting booktok-ified? ben is literally in that book and i know none of those bitches even knew or cared. holly sets all her faerie stuff in the same universe (which is ambiguously also the same universe cassandra clare writes in. hard to explain the nuances to a fuckin newbie you had to be there) anyway. i was a holly black girl before it was cool. i was literally made fun of for reading her books and then suddenly in like 2020 faerie romance became “in” and frankly i’ve never felt more betrayed by the trend cycle as i was then. ok i was there in 2017 getting bullied by my older cousin for reading about gay faeries (lady midnight) when i was 15 and now adult women are allowed to log on to tiktok and talk about their literal fantasy porn series every day. is anything fair holy shit…

watching the PsychOdyssey and im surprised by how little the people at the studio know about their own characters. like im watching the part where they start working on helmut's level and all they have to work with is "he's a viking". idk if this is a common thing in game development but i thought that by the time they started working on the game itself they would have all the characters' backstories and personalities more or less narrowed down

Well, even though I’ve got like… a hundred things going on all at once, I’ve decided to complicate my life more by starting yet another arts/craft project. 😅😅😅

Anyway, here is felt Paper King Bowser and his sidekick, Skrumpy the Goomba! I was inspired to do this by the Christmas/Chanukah stocking I decorated for my older brother, which was Paper Mario themed. I found myself enjoying cutting figures out of felt and making a picture, so now I’m attempting to make a felt poster based on Paper Mario. Wish me luck! I’ll post updates as I go, if anyone is curious, ha.

im not sure what to have for breakfast but once i do eat i think im gonna play video game. i'll have to decide if i want to continue playing dragon age origins or if i want to switch to inquisition. i've been thinking about my fic a bit. i feel like i want to get to a good stopping point with it and then devote some more attention to c&w, we'll see how that goes

i think it’s so funny to be a writer with multiple stories that you flesh out and develop and world build and then never write.. like yes i have an incredibly intricate explanation for how this worlds religion works based on how each individual fantasy culture and race i made perceives the afterlife and deities of the world (that i also made up). yes there is deeply ingrained stigma even lasting into present day in my story that still impacts some of the characters more than others. yes it’s also a metaphor for modern day religious fanaticism and the way it others people for no discernible reason. yes there are also unicorn people and phoenix people and basilisk people and werewolves and vampires and necromancers and sirens and hydras and giants of all different varieties and yes i love this story dearly. no i won’t ever write it. why? reasons.
