Mina Murray is an unemployed twenty-something, jigsaw puzzler, and brand new Podcaster. Her life doesn’t exactly make for interesting content. That is until her best friend Lucy falls mysteriously ill and Mina’s boyfriend Jonathan loses contact on a work trip to Romania…" Very creative, very queer, very enjoyable!

🥰 ship-to-ship combat (pomeloquat) - 76K, SuperBat - "Clark, in an attempt to make some spare cash, unintentionally stumbles into the world of superhero fanfiction, becomes a prolific writer for Gotham's OTP, and tries his best to fend off rival fans who want him to convert to superbat instead." - extremely funny and delightful identity porn fic

🥰 Tension and Tonic (Zenaidamacrouras1) - 78K, cellist!Bucky/artist!Steve, one night stand that develops feelings. Mostly hilarious, with some fantastic characterizations, especially of the supporting characters. Fic does go to some pretty dark thoughts very briefly but ultimately the vibe I ended up with was much more on the funny side of the scale.

2. what's your total Ao3 word count? 127,611 (yes, most of the works are oneshots)

3. what fandoms do you write for? I have AO3 stuff for Stargate SG-1, NCIS, Top Gun, and RPF!

4. what are your top five fics by kudos?

I thought this would just be all the multichaps I've written (or started) but I guess there's something to be said for older stuff because it's actually all Stargate! I suspect penny!fic will eventually appear on here if I ever get off my butt and finish it

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Uhh...nothing yet, I think? I'm really way worse about saccharine-sweet, syrupy, TERRIBLY FLUFFY endings.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? I wrote a 200-word ficlet that is literally only the happy ending! Just Like in the Movies

8. Do you get hate on fics? Not yet, but all my more ~controversial~ stuff is safely in my GDrive still, so....*shrugs* all my current AO3 stuff is pretty bland.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Nope. Every year I threaten to do it and then I just get all embarrassed about it and never share anything.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? Not yet, but if I had a good idea for one I'd absolutely write it!

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Stealing Cy's answer for this because it's so true lol. I don't...think so?

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Not that I know of! (If you would like to translate anything of mine, please go for it! There's not much to work with right now though lol)

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Nothing that's on AO3, only super-secret stuff that may never see the light of day!

14. What’s your all time favorite ship? is this question asking for an OTP? Because I have two: Sam/Jack, SG1 and Janeway/Chakotay, Voyager.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Gah, all of them. Uhhh, there's a marriage-of-convenience SJ AU where Sam and Jack have to be married to be on the same SG team that @carothepoet and I brainstormed years ago, and I doubt we'll ever finish?

16. What are your writing strengths? Silly dialogue, short fics! That's...um...it.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? WRITING VOLUME. It's not that I can't do it, it's that I don't ever prioritize my writing enough to find the time. In terms of actually putting words on the page...description is hard. Plot is hard.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? Honestly, I'm just insane and "what the hell, it's a hobby not a job" enough to Google Translate something if I really need to have some dialogue in another language. Obviously I'd put a disclaimer that I have no idea if it's correct. I like making fun of the "everyone speaks English" TV trope though, so I'm far more likely to just have the aliens randomly speak English XD

19. First fandom you wrote for? The first thing I published was for Stargate. The first stuff I wrote before I knew what fanfiction was? God, probably...actually I have no clue? percy jackson? chronicles of narnia? who knows.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written? I am choosing to be an optimist today: I don't think it's been written yet!! I do, however, have a special fondness for Chapter 3 of Letters to Archie for, yes, its pettiness and fluffiness, and also for in for a penny, in for a pound because it's fun!

1,917,213 as of this morning.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Dragon Age, Fallout 4 and Doctor Who are the three current. In the past I've written for Mass Effect, Southern Vampire Mysteries/True Blood and Borderlands. I have one (1) lonely Wayhaven Chronicles oneshot.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

What a Wicked Game to Play - 1590. This is my epic DA MGIT fic. Solas/OFC, rated E, 412K words.

Twist - 1416. This was my first DA longfic. Carly and Co. show up in the top five again. Solas/OFC, rated E, 197K words.

Junkyard Dogs - 551. My very first fic. Written for FO4 almost 7 years ago. Hancock/F!SoSu, rated E, 107K words.

Twist Some More - 460. An extended epilogue/love letter to Carly and Solas. Rated E, 67K words.

Humans Are Just...Like That - 327. A sorta crack treated seriously oneshot for Mass Effect. It began its life as a long thread in a Discord server. I made a comment to the effect that it should be turned into a fic, and everyone told me to go for it. So I did. FemShep/Garrus in the background, rated T, ~3K words.

(All of these are complete, too.)

5. Do you respond to comments?

Almost always. Even if it's just with emojis. I generally say that I will reply to every comment as long as it's polite.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

No More My Heart Beats Without You, a Solavelyan oneshot. 'Ware the tags. Rated E, 5K words.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

TSM, without a doubt. The entire point of the Twistverse was to write a happy ending Solavellan.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Rarely. I'd say I get more trolling than hate. To date I've only had to moderate one fic to keep it under control.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

*cackles* 51 of 113 of my fics are rated E and another 18 are rated M (although sometimes that's for violence). What kind? Any kind. Explicit, fade to black, character driven, pure PWP, established ship, there's a couple of threesomes in there, a variety of kink...

I am a shameless purveyor of sexual content.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

I've only ever written in-franchise crossovers, and I don't think those count.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not to my knowledge.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Nope. People are welcome to as long as they credit back to my original, though.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Yes! I've written a couple round-robin style fics with the DAFF crew, and collaborated with my beloved Angel once or twice.

14. What's your all time favorite ship?

I'm poly and aro. OTP is not in my vocabulary. 🤣 But I have pairings I return to, time and again. The Doctor/Rose, Hancock/SoSu, Varric/Hawke, Solas/Anyone.

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Just Like Fire. It started as a prompt fic when I was in a slump. But now I'm kinda over it and don't really feel like putting in the energy to wrap it up. Solavellan, rated E, 26K words.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue, smut, being succinct and bite-sized. Even in the longfics. And of course, canon shall be yeeted.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Endings! OMG, trying to get myself to a conclusion is like pulling teeth.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I'm eh about it. Sometimes I do it with fantasy languages, sometimes I do it if it's canon (I know, a rarity for me). Sometimes I just don't because it's more work than I care to do. It's case by case.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Fallout 4

20. Favorite fic you've written?

Uh... *forgets everything I've ever written*

Look, I tend to write for me first and foremost, so I reread a lot of my own work and inevitably get sucked into it. I am the target audience, after all. But there's a couple that I've reread the most:

Unexpected - FO4, Kellogg/SoSu, rated E, 30K words. This was my first real attempt at canon divergence and I still love it very much.

Hope Is a Fragile Thing - DA, Solas/OFC, rate T, 13K words. A soft but kinda sad post-canon thing. The goal with it was to both finish the writing before posting a word of it (which is how I do all my work now), and to write a MGIT without explaining how she got there.

20 questions for fic writers!

I was tagged by @firebatvillain (over here). (No idea where this meme comes from originally because the chain is broken somewhere.)

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

119 on my main account.

2. What’s your total AO3 word count?

302k. Omg, that's a lot... My sock has about an extra 200k words, so... 500k total.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (28), ASOIAF (20), Bravely Default (14), Trials of Mana (10), Soulcalibur (6), Final Fantasy VI (6). (I don't actively write in ASOIAF anymore, though -- I've tried on multiple occasions and nothing comes out.)

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

You've Got Subspace Communication [DS9, Quodo] - I wrote this as a treat for Unsent Letters, an epistolary exchange. Odo and Quark are so perfect for penpals who hate each other IRL but are falling in love online...

[Art] Basket-weaving [Brother Bear, Denahi gen] - Not fic, but it deserves a shout-out because weirdly it seems that a lot of people are familiar with Brother Bear even though the movie flopped/is super underrated and it has no active fandom (fan community) as far as I can tell. As such, the amount of love this art gets always surprises me!

Written Correspondence [DS9, Quodo] - This was actually also written as a treat for Unsent Letters but there were a couple of points where I was worried it hit a DNW so I didn't end up gifting it. But I always imagined Quark would write Odo (unsent) letters post-canon.

Accidental kiss [DS9, Quodo] - One of my first Quodo fics, I wrote this as a treat for the first Quodo Mini-fest, because someone was requesting a cute first meeting and these two deserve so many pre-canon meetcutes, lol.

Dinner Together [DS9, Garashir] - So far my only Garashir fic. Written for Pine 4 Pine (a pining exchange). I'm not sure what I think about this one. I don't really have a good handle of either Bashir, Garak, or their dynamic, to be honest, but it seems people enjoyed it well enough. (It's always a strange experience writing in a fandom that has such a clear juggernaut, which doesn't happen to be my OTP.)

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Yes, I answer all comments. The only exception is that sometimes when someone has left multiple comments on a multichapter work, I might skip a few. I do try to respond to the last comment someone left on a work, though. Also, occasionally, I lose a comment in my inbox and so don't reply because I never saw it, but it's a mistake/not intentional. I don't get a lot of comments even across all my fic on both of my AO3 accounts, so it's not really hard for me to reply to all of them.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

A Two-Changeling Link [DS9, Laas &/ Odo], maybe? Killing a character who didn't die in canon is a pretty downer ending, especially because I didn't plan on that character dying when I started writing!

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Not sure whether to go for a fic where the ending is happy because the characters go through so much (and so the ending is super cathartic) or if the fic itself is just generally happy. For the first, Snowmelt [Trials of Mana, Angela & Valda]. For the latter, maybe Written Correspondence.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Haven't gotten any on the fic itself. Occasionally I get commenters replying to (arguing with, correcting, etc.) OTHER commenters in a somewhat aggressive manner.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Yeah, but it all goes into a different account. I write all kinds of things. It skews non-con heavy, but I like to write a lot of different flavors.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Not generally, but I have written a wild one, Priestesses of Wind [Bravely Default x Soulcalibur, Agnes/Talim]. It's so rare to see someone in exchanges requesting either of these fandoms, so when I saw someone requesting a crossover between them, I jumped on that prompt SO fast.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Nope. I am just not a big enough deal for that.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes, if into emoji counts. XD I can't share it here because it's for a fic on my sock, but feel free to DM me if you want a link.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Not full co-writing. I have done some collaborations that get close but not to the point where I would call it co-writing. When I was young, though, I used to co-write original fiction with friends, which mainly consisted of them coming up with the characters and ideas and me typesetting it because I have good SPAG and typing speed.

14. What’s your all time favourite ship?

Quodo just for the sheer intensity of fannish feelings. Mi-na/Yun-seong is probably the OTP I have had for the longest time and which I'm still actively fannish about. Plus, I've had strong enough feelings about it to make a fansite for it, so that should count for something.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I have some older ones on my hard drive that I don't think are getting done, all for older fandoms I don't write anymore. Probably the one I regret not finishing the most is an ASOIAF BTVS fusion fic where Sam Tarly is dealing with vampires in Oldtown (because he's the Slayer, get it?). (Of the fic I've posted to AO3, I fully intend to finish them all, and I get pretty obsessive about keeping my promises so I don't think any of those will stay unfinished.)

16. What are your writing strengths?

I'm good at writing highly-structured fic and good at writing action scenes, which includes sex scenes. At least I think so. Also, I'm good at SPAG.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I hate describing settings/buildings/objects and I hate worldbuilding and inserting OCs. I think my fic often suffers as a result. Also, I am a very slow writer.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I am so bad at other languages (can't even learn fictional languages to any degree of confidence), so I largely avoid this, and rarely do I feel like my fic would suffer if I cut the foreign language words themselves and replaced them with English translations, because I don't think multilingually and so don't have (e.g.) wordplay that would get lost in translation.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

If fan comics count, probably Sailor Moon. If this means actual fanfic that I uploaded to the internet, it would be Harry Potter.

20. Favourite fic you’ve written?

Every 16 Hours [DS9, Quodo, 58k words] is my masterpiece. I still don't believe I wrote a finished fic this long, and it has a lot of things I like or want to see in fiction.

RachelB's 50 fics celebration!

Hi everyone! By posting my latest fic for Queen Hurt/Comfort weekend, "I thank the Lord above, my life has been saved" I reached the count of 50 fics written and posted on AO3! 🥰

Yeah, I know, the count says 47, but the remaining three fics/oneshots have been posted as chapters in a couple of stories, namely "Please stay awhile" for Queen trough the seasons (2 fics in 1) and "The tales of John, Roger and Veronica" for Dealor Week 2022 (3 fics in 1). 👀🤭

I must admit I've never expected to come this far with writing, but reading and writing fics helped me SO much improving my English, as a non-native speaker. And I'm so happy to be able to tell stories not only through visual art but with writing as well, I'm very proud of how far I've come.

And most of all I'm grateful to everyone who is willing to read my silly stories, despite I'm very much indulging so much on a single ship with few exceptions; and I'm glad my own writing helped others to get interested in Johnica and inspired them as well, exactly as it happened to me after reading @kinole009x 's stories! 🥺💖

Part 6 - Couple Asks

Who is the better dancer?

Pretty sure I already answered this. But they both dance pretty well. They did get classes.

2. What do others think of them dating?

Fannar’s moher is completely against it, the rest of the family is 50/50, some are okay with it and have accepted it some still have some complaints about it.

Syra is very happy about Fannar and Arlo being together. She knows without Fannar, Arlo wouldn’t even be dead, he would have just ceased to be. A heap of rotten gore on the floor and the remnants of a spirit that no longer existed. She believes Fannar gave everything to Arlo, not just love and life, but a reason to live, to better himself, to exist.

3. Are they a super sappy couple?

They’re both romantic but not overly sappy. They’re into the small things. A picnic, a kiss, sitting together under a blanket outside watching the clouds, small nothings that mean the world to them.

4. How did they get together?

Pretty sure I already answered this. But the other way around then.

After Arlo was able to send Fannar back home, despite all the damage he did. He had achieved his goals, dragons were safe, no need to hunt them. So he just had to wait for death or nothingness.

But Fannar didn’t give up on him and came back for him, to share his heart with him. Things didn’t go exactly as planned. But after a lot of work, Arlo found his way back and Fannar was still there for him.

5. Who stays up too late and makes stupid jokes?

Arlo. Mostly puns or self-deprecating jokes or dark and morbid jokes. Fannar likes his jokes, though he does wish Arlo was less self-depracating.

6. Do they have similar taste in movies?

Not at first, but they found a new genre they both like. Tear jerker horror.

7. Who has better fashion sense?

Fannar. They dress like a person. Arlo looks like he went to the thrift store and stole everything that was red and black.

8. Who will punch someone out if they are rude to their partner?

Arlo will totally punch someone for being rude to Fannar. It’s actually an improvement. At first he’d set them on fire.

9. What songs do they sing together in the vehicle?

They don’t own a car. But if they ever did and took a ride they’d be singing A Thousand Years, or The Words by Christina Perri.

10. What other couple would your otp get along with the best?

They get along very well with Syra and Lysander (Syra’s significant other) and with Flynn and Emil.

11. Who is the one who loves to take pictures?

Fannar loves to take pictures. Arlo likes to take picture of Fannar, exclusively.

12. What would they dress up as? (for Halloween)

Arlo as Alduin and Fannar as Dovahkiin. Or Fannar like my Seimei and Arlo like Orochi.

13. Who loves kids more?

I think I answered this one before too. But, they both love kids. Arlo has a lot of patience for kids that’s remarkable.

14. Do either of them have a crazy ex?

Arlo has a crazy brother.

15. Who is the forgetful one?

Arlo. He needs to write everything down or he will forget it. Also, don’t bother with dates with him, he will forget, but if you remind him “Hey, next week it’s my bday”, he will take note and celebrate it with you.

He does write little notes for Fannar too. “Hey, I hope you have a great day and I love you. But remind me of what time you get home today so I can tell if I‘ll be home to greet you.”

16. What do they do for Valentines Day?

Arlo has never celebrated Love Day and forgets about it. Fannar is usually the one going: Get dressed. It’s love day and we have a date.

17. Who has the better comebacks?

Arlo. Arlo is the guy who says “I’d tell you to suck my dick, but it already fell off.”

18. Who is the hopeless romantic?

Fannar. They’re both pretty romantic, but Fannar is more than Arlo.

19. Who can rap better?

Neither.

20. Do either of them want to go sky diving?

They both do.

21. What do they usually text about?

Small love letters and reminders and just little things like: “Don’t forget to have lunch, doctor Ward-Sullyvan, or I’ll have to do an intervention. ” or “Don’t forget your medication, my heart.”

22. Is either one confrontational?

Arlo is reactive.

23. Who are their favourite musical artist(s)?”

Arlo loves Coldplay and Fannar thanks to his dad loves Boyce Avenue.

24. What are their parenting styles?

Arlo is authoritative, pending to the authoritarian. Fannar is more permissive pending to authoritative.

25. Do either of them have secrets even the other doesn’t know?

More like lost memories. Arlo lost a lot of his memories and has slowly, through therapy started to realize some of the traumas he can’t recall. Some of them he doesn’t want to share with Fannar.

26. What is their favorite photo of them two together?

Mine is this one.

27. What movie did they see together?

So many. Recently they watched Spectral. Arlo ever dragging Fannar to watch the increasingly growing collection of obscure horror movies in Simflix.

28. What do they love about each other the most?

Arlo loves Fannar’s calm. How collected he can be, how rational and level-headed, how he always keeps his feet firm on the ground and always seems to be able to find a solution. How he doesn’t stop and does not give up. But above all, how he listens, truly listens.

Fannar loves Arlo’s dark and morbid sense of humor, how he’s capable of seeing the good of a bad situation, his love and dedication to his sister and unconditional acceptance of his father. His dedication for Fannar and willingness to accept his decisions. His journals and the love declarations he wrote on them, the requests for forgiveness and the declarations of love.

And of course, he loves that he is bold and blunt and to the point.

29. Who is the one that sees the big picture, while the other focus’s on the small details?

Arlo always sees the bigger picture. He actually analises things in a broader scheme and tends to let out details for the bigger picture. He has a very “ends justify the means” mindset.

Fannar on the other hand is a mix of both. They focus on the details when it’s important but can also see the bigger picture. So he tries to find a way to make the details and the bigger picture work. A “ends don’t always justify the means.”

30. What is an inside joke they have?

They playfully go “I’d tell you to suck my dick, but it already fell off.” “No worries, mine’s still good.” “Great, I’ll do it later then.”

31. Who makes the other smile with almost no effort at all?

Arlo always manages to make a joke that makes Fannar smile. Even when everything looks bad, Arlo always tries to find a solution. He also writes small messages to Fannar to try and get him to smile like a particularly stuck up and stubborn patient: “Hey, look at the bright side. With that diagnosis, that broom bound to come out on it’s own!” “Pfft! That’s very bad, Arlo!”

32. What is their favorite game to play together?

They don’t play games often, but they do enjoy a good magical sparr.

33. Who accidental sets something on fire?

Arlo and it’s rarely accidental.

34. Who’s concert would they go to?

They’d go to Coldplay and maybe Il Divo.

35. Do one of them sleep talk? If so, what do they say?

Fannar sleep talks due to his nightmares. Usually “don’t hurt me”, “please stop” and “help me!”. Arlo groans when he’s having a sleeping paralysis episode.

36. Who would get up on stage and make a fool of themselves just to make the other laugh?

Arlo.

37. How old were they when they got together?

First time they were around 16 and 18. Fannar 16 and Arlo 18. Second time around, Arlo was around 25 and Fannar 23.

38. Who is the one that would bring the puppy home?

Arlo, he loves animals. He wouldn’t keep the puppy, as he’s not a dog lover, but he’d bring it home until he found it a forever home.

39. What is their song?

FAQ

0. A Reminder: Who Are We?

The Zutara Gift Exchange 2023 is a fandom event that runs very similarly to a Secret Santa gift exchange. Artists and writers sign up using the AO3 sign up form, and are then given the name and gift wishlist of another participant in the event. They pick a prompt, theme or idea from their giftee’s wishlist and write/draw them a Zutara gift based on the prompt, theme or idea. While they’re hard at work, another anonymous member of the event is busy making them a gift based off the gift wishlist they submitted. At the end of December 2023, all participants of the event submit their works, and all participants receive a lovely Zutara gift as we ring in 2024. What better way to start a new year than with our OTP?

1. Do I need an Archive of Our Own account to sign up for this gift exchange?

Yes, you do. If you don’t have an account and need an invite, please go to the AO3 homepage and look at the second column. There’s a little grey box that allows you to click for an invite link. That will send your chosen email an invite to the archive, and you’ll then be able to sign up for the gift exchange.

2. What types of work are allowed in the gift exchange?

This year, we’re asking artists and fic writers to sign up. Artists can submit digital work, traditional artwork or comics, but we’re not allowing moodboards or manips for this year’s event as we’d like to start small and build from there in future years if there is a call for it. Thank you for understanding!

3. Can I create both art and a fic for my giftee?

You’re very welcome to! We do ask, however, that the main part of your gift is the type of gift that your giftee requested. So if your giftee only asked for fic, please make the artwork secondary to the fic.

4. What do I put under my wishlist for the person who is going to be making me a gift?

Please see the wishlist/offer help topic to give you some ideas of what to put.

5. What is a letter to my gifter?

Some people prefer having a letter written and posted somewhere for their gifter for every gift exchange that they enter so that they don’t have to type the same lists of wants and do not wants for every exchange. If you have one of these, or want to make one of these, you can link it in your submission form for your gifter to find.

6. What is a pinch hitter?

A pinch hitter is somebody who steps in to fill a request should the original gifter have to drop out for some reason. If you’re willing to potentially be a pinch hitter, please indicate this in the sign up form under the “offers” section. Don’t worry if you click this and then cannot be pinch-hitter when the time comes: it’s not an obligation, just a list of potential people that we can contact should there be an assignment suddenly looking for a creative’s hand.

7. What if I don’t like the assignment that I have been given?

That’s perfectly fine! Please contact Ghosty on Tumblr or via email ([email protected]) within 48 hours of receiving your assignment, and she can work with you to find the right fit!

8. What are “treats”?

Treats are extra gifts that you give to a person that you’re not assigned to. You can find all the wishlists/requests on the AO3 challenge. If there’s one there that really stirs your creativity, please feel free to make a little something to fill it! Treats are uploaded just the same way as regular gifts, but they won’t show as a fulfilled assignment. So make sure that in the box “gift this work to” you’ve placed the person’s name! Please also make one of the treat tags "treat" so that it's easily differentiated from the assigned gift for administrative purposes.

9. How do I post if I’m an artist?

You’ll still post just as though you’re posting a fic, but, instead of putting up words you’ll embed your image into the Archive of Our Own post. See here for how to embed images.

10. Can I also post it to my Tumblr/Instagram/Elsewhere?

Please do! We’d love you to. However, we ask that you only do so after January 5th, 2024. That’s the date when creators are revealed, and we’d like to keep people anonymous until then. Don’t worry, we’ll remind you when you can start proudly admitting that the masterpiece is yours!

11. May I add any ships that aren’t mentioned in the request/assignment?

If you have a way to anonymously ask your giftee if it’s okay (their Tumblr anon is on, or you ask Ghosty to ask on your behalf) and they say it’s okay, then of course! But rather err on the side of caution. Remember, this is a gift for somebody else, and we want to be extra sure that they enjoy it.

12. How do I submit my work to the event?

There are two ways of doing this.

One: Go to your AO3 dashboard. On the left there is a menu of options. Near the bottom is a tab called “Assignments”. Clicking on that will show you your open assignment, and will allow you to click to fill it.

Two: One AO3, see the top right menu option “post”. Click “post a new work” and then follow these instructions on how to post a work to the challenge. The challenge name is “zk_giftexchange_2023”.
