Why, hello there!

This post is a bit special: it's a gift for an invisible friend I took part in! This piece was made for @ss-slep ! I hope you like it. :) I did some digging in your blog to find your s/i's name, I understood it was Kazumi, so I used that one! :)

A few notes before we begin, as usual: I don't know the character very well, but I hope I did him justice!

Also, I realise it might be a bit unclear, but this is written as the transcript of an audio message, a voice note of sorts! :)

The title comes from "Everything's Electric" by Liam Gallagher.

No TWs that I can think of here, just some sweet feelings. Enjoy!

When you're there, everything... Everything's electric!

Oh, I don't mean that in a bad way. It's just that when you enter the room everything goes... Woah! and... And it's incredible. Everything lights up when I see you. I'd say you're like a lightbulb, but I'm not sure that's really a compliment... Mmh, something that lights up...

I don't know why it took me so long to come up with that one, because it's so evident. You're the sun! The brightest of all stars! Heh, that sounds about right.

I mean, it's a really good comparaison, now that I think about it. The world is better because you're in it. My world is better because you're in it. You feel warm and I get really, really happy when I see you.

Though my eyes never hurt when I look at you. Do you remember that time you came back with that new shirt you got? You looked so happy that I... Whew! You know?

But I've been talking a lot about myself, haven't I... Well, anyway, what matters the most is, you're incredible.

this is quite a bit shorter than my usual things but!! i hope you like it!

Viktor and Marly always loved spending time together, whether that be between classes, on breaks, or even studying together.

Except, simply, when they didn't.

"Did you catch that in the lecture?" Marly inquires, her glasses on the brink of slipping off her nose.

"No, no I didn't..." Viktor mutters, lazily leaning his head into his hands. His elbows slide on the lavish wooden desk and push away a few sheets of paper.

Marly stands at his side, leaning over the table's matching bench with her hands holding open a textbook. Their whole room is cluttered, maybe it wasn't the best option to use the already messier option of their dorms. Still, it had to suffice, there was work to be done, and no matter how much one or the other wanted to do something else, school was far too important.

Viktor gives another small sigh, and Marly furrows her brow, as if seeing the project differently will help her.

"Wait, wait- I've got it!" She begins, tilting her head and leaning forward a little.

Viktor understandably looks confused, there's the barest crease of concentration on his forehead. He sits up nods in approval when Marly leans back, her hands clasping together as she fumbles with her colorful beaded bracelets.

"You take a break!"

"Excuse me..?"

"You know.. I can take over for a bit, gosh Viktor it really isn't fair for you to do the brunt of the work." Marly's tone softens when she steps over the bench. She extends a hand for Viktor, who takes it for assistance to balance as he scoots to the side. Marly plops down with that same bright smile, one that even makes Viktor seem to light up.

"Soo- You can still think about a solution, I can't stop that, but I just don't want you to feel the weight of the whole project on your shoulders." As she speaks, she's already tinkering with a small device laid next to their papers and textbook. Viktor looks cautiously over her shoulder, before leaning back when she turns her head.

There's a sudden, slight moment of eye contact... Before Viktor turns away first, a wave of warmth shooting to his sharp face.

"Ahem.. Marly that's- That is so sweet of you, but..." Viktor mutters, folding his arms on the desk. His gaze lowers to the blur of writing on the papers below, and shortly after he lays his head on his hands.

He almost looks like a sad dog, something that strikes a chord in Marly's heart. She smiles again, and speaks. "It's the least I can do."

Quite a bit later, Marly looked up from her hunched position.

She got lost in her work, literally. She pushes her glasses back up, and her eyes flit over to Viktor beside her.

The only movement from him is the soft rise and fall of his back. He was fast asleep, something Marly could admit that she's never seen before.

She moves quietly, turning around on the bench and standing halfway. Thanks to the small size of the dorm, she doesn't have to go far to gently pluck a plush red blanket from her bed, and go back to softly drape it over Viktor's shoulders.

They sure were the perfect pair.
