I always wonder how it feels under general anesthesia and finally, I had an opportunity during my first surgery procedure which was carried out on July 13, 2022.
I remembered entering the Operating Theatre (OT) room where the Anesthesiologist, Dr. Maya, welcomed me.
I was instructed by the nurse to move to the surgical bed which has this weird airy bag that kinda hug my body, and it felt warm.
The nurse was then busy plugging things onto my body, while the doctor herself was busy preparing the anesthetic.
I remembered we had a brief conversation while I was starting to gasp for air(?). Then, the nurse put on the breathing mask.

Dr: Kartika, how are you? Are you nervous?
Me: Oh well, a bit
Dr: Is everything okay?
Me: I guess? A bit drowsy now
*At this point, I remembered seeing the digital clock at 1:54 PM.

The last thing I remembered was it was like a dream, where everything was dark and there was a guy who led me to the opened door with light. It was a contrast.
And before I opened my eyes, I heard someone called my name.
"Kartika?"
Probably the nurse.

I woke up, heard the "beep" sounds, and saw the clock on the wall pointing at around 4:30 PM.
I was already in the Recovery room.
Trying to regularize my breathing slowly to stabilize my condition.
The nurse approached me 30 minutes later and said that I'm ready to be sent back up to my ward.
