Okay, so Arondir is my favourite so far bc his story has the most action currently and he was really cool in ep 3. But. Now I‘m thinking and I really hope there‘s some elves out there with dreads and cornrows. It would slay so hard…. Maybe I‘m also not over how many short haired elves there are right now.

Character Design - Ester Fernsby
Ester's appearance is heavily inspired by Olivia Rodrigo and I have used her as a base for the Character design featured here.
Ester's Fey Forms Books 1-3 [this look was inspired by Olivia Rodrigo at the Met Gala 2021]
Ester's Fey appearance as seen in book 1, before her magic is stripped from her and her hair turns white as a result. This outfit is heavily inspired by Ester's magical element of Shadows, hence the colour palette and the dark cloudy whispy top (at least in my head)
Ester's Fey appearance as seen in book 2, when she is briefly able to turn into her fey form thanks to the Fates and the Keeper trying to help them all survive. While the outfit is the same her white hair remains from her 'normal' form that appears in Books 2-3.
Ester's Fey appearance as seen in book 3, when she regains her magic through training and because of the fates. The outfit changes colour to reflect her growing power with shadows becoming darker but the white hair remains and is a permanent fixture of her from here on out (AKA in the short story collection set after the trilogy)
Ester's Nymph/Priestess Forms Books 3-4 [this look was inspired by Olivia Rodrigo at the Met Gala 2022]
Ester's Priestess form, after the final battle in book 3 all of the characters become Nymphs which means that they have won the favour of a deity and thus also become Priestesses, Ester gains the favour of Ielia, Goddess Of Funerals (one of the deities on Eden). Due to Eden's tradition of wearing red (specifically blood red) to funerals, Ester's outfit has included that in the colour palette. The butterflies are actually Shadowflies, during the day, which are native to Eden and are essentially the magical equivalent of moths.
Ester's Nymph form, this is the form she takes 90% of the time or whenever she is using her magic. While the outfit is the same as her priestess form it is the colour palette of her fey form to showcase her magical element of Shadows. While the Shadowflies take their night form. After she becomes a nymph her eyes turn an even paler form of grey.
