I can’t get this image out of my head and I need to throw it at someone.

I can’t stop picturing Will being firmly certain that Hannibal is the Chesapeake Ripper. He’s certain he overheard Jack saying he thought so on top of it. All the dots are connecting, he starts making a few remarks or insinuating to Hannibal that he “knows his secret”. Hannibal is acting all fishy about it which only makes him more certain. He isn’t sure how to catch him so he pulls a whole season 2b and starts killing people and stuff to make Hannibal trust him so he can flip on him. This only makes him even more certain he’s right, he’s shown up to Hannibal’s house covered in blood on other occasions and Hannibal just cleaned him up. But Hannibal REFUSES to give him anything, he refuses to slip up and it frustrates Will to no end. So finally he decides to just confront him about it, so he shows up at his house and is all like.

Will: “I know Dr Lecter. Just tell me”

Hannibal: ”What do you think you know Will?”

Will: ”I know you’re a serial killer, I know you’re the Chesapeake ripper.”

Hannibal: ”Will-“

Will: ”Don’t lie to me. I’ve trusted you and you haven’t shown me the same level of trust.”

Hannibal: ”I think you’re mistaken about something Will.”

Will: ”Would you just stop? You’ve killed people and I know, I’ve killed people and you know. I don’t like lying. Even Jack knows.”

Hannibal: ”Will, would you come with me?”

Hannibal just takes him upstairs and there’s just a pole in his room.

Hannibal: ”Will, I’m not the ‘Chesapeake Ripper’, I’m the ‘Chesapeake Stripper’. What you overheard with Jack was presumably me explaining that this never has and never will interfere with my psychiatry work. I didn’t realize you thought I was a murderer, I just thought you looked very nice in blood and didn’t know how to tell you to stop killing people when you looked so nice after doing it. And although I’d rather the meat wasn’t human I did appreciate your faith in my cooking skills and your desire to join me in the activity.”
