Like a completely normal adult person, after watching the new trolls movie, I obsessively started putting together the brothers' backstory, the deeper reasons for their separation as well as how that all took place without disregarding the fact that they were trapped in the troll tree, which of course evolved into a fic in (forever) progress... yeah

Anyway, even though they aren't actively in the story much, i needed to design the parents, so uh meet Rosiepuff's daughter, Tulip, and her husband Branch.

I designed them based on the brothers' adult looks and in Tulip's case also on her mom's.

Oval-shaped faces are personally tricky to do digitally compared on paper. And guess who has an oval-shaped face??

On the third pic's bottom left, I tested giving Connie a little heart-shape to see how it looks because heart-shapes are relatively the easiest to me digitally; maybe I can cheat a bit there, you know? (And it works great for others.) And to be honest.. I'm really not sure about it. :/ I definitely like the one on the right more. But how the heck is it so hard to do on the tabbbbb?

I love to talk about how Strong and Resilient Meryl is just like everyone else in our little Meryl fan club but also. I want her to be allowed to break down and not patch herself back up for Vash’s sake. I want her to be messier. She’s already 3-dimensional. I want to add a 4th dimension. Healing isn’t linear and she should be allowed to have her ugly feelings get mixed up and messy and get in the way of her relationship with Vash more. Let her be angry. Let her be cruel just because she’s still hurt. She is stronger than a million Millions Knives but does she always have to be? Can a girl not be messy long after the trauma? Does she have to be consistently Good and Loving while she heals? Isn’t she tired? Can a girl go apeshit?

So.. Penhaligon's Bluebell, huh?

I mean look at this. The packaging is gorgeous and reminds me of something in my grandmas house I'd intensely stare at but never ask about, because I was a strange and quiet child, but secretly smell later. And as much as I'd love to have this adorn my very own counter, this scent is discontinued. Unfortunately I have a hyperfixation-like mindstate with certain scents, I scour the internet until I can get my hands on a sample. I've had it with this one, and I did.

My Notes: I've stumbled upon this in search of a hyacinth scent. And it does provide that very distinct note of spring I long for, but it's also much more than that. It reminds me of and old lady's perfume bottles and lotions - fresh, clean, powdery, floral. It really opens up on you with an explosion of flowers you cant discern, your brain just tells you laundry perfume and fresh sheets. They eventually settle, become more sophisticated and grown. The citrus and clove are not upfront, they help pull the whole thing back into a more calm direction as it dries down. The general theme is keeps going on though! Unfortunately it doesn't last very long, at least on my skin, which can be excused by it being an eau de toilette.

This scent is a strange love affair for me. It really does capture that youthful feeling of exploration, and something to fondly remember it by. This is something I'd wear for a stroll in the woods, or spritz before bed on my nightgown. It is a very dreamy scent, it smells like getting lost and believing in fairies and getting fresh bread with marmalade when you get home and tea parties with your imaginary friends.

The way Meryl and Vash see each other after a very long time apart (I think it’s been…. Since the Dragon’s Nest standoff?) and Vash is shocked and Meryl instantly bursts into tears…. Doing something to my brain

two levels from now sherrie will get find steed and so obviously since he is a horse girl i am building the character of the steed

her name is bluebell and she is a dapple grey courser with long dark mane and tail, light feathering, one white sock (right hind), and a running star in the vague shape of a heart

she is not actually sherries horse that he took with him on campaign, of course she isnt and he knows that. he knows she fell in battle. but when he sits down to cast the spell and he tries to think of a steed he can feel an immediate instinctive bond with, with whom once in the saddle he is effortlessly as one, its bluebell and theres just no other answer

Late to the game (as always), but I finally was able to get Pioneers of Olive Town! ( …that said, my left joycon is in for repairs, so I can't play it yet… orz )

…also, I just remembered that I had started A New Beginning a year or so ago and… only played for a day before getting distracted. …I should pick that back up.

I also really want to try Story of Seasons again, but between travel time and being required to talk to everyone every day if you don't want them to get mad at you? It was really stressful when I tried playing before..! …but… Nadi exists, so I really do want to try again.
