I had another pain management setup appointment this morning, this time with a physical therapist, and she was asking me about my flare ups and everything and i came to the realizations that 1) theres always a bit of a leadup to the flare, where i'll have a couple days where i feel like shit and my joints feel hot and weak but its also nowhere near the pain levels of an actual flare up. And 2) i am in fact in a pre-flare up right now :/
All this to say that im warping another belt but im not trying backstrap again right now because i can already tell im going to feel like death tomorrow
#the two pain management specialists ive seen so far have been really great which makes me hopeful that ill actually. yknow. get treatment.#of course it could be that the actual medication prescribing doctor is an idiot and asshole in which case i am course screwed#you really never know#have my first appointment with him in a week though#but yeah yesterday was way too much. and it wasnt even that much by anyone else's standards#or at least my coworkers seemed fine. but it definitely jumpstarted a flare up#just always a bit strange to actually. awknowledge that im in pain and theres something wrong#and downright insane to have someone be like 'yeah dude thats not right lets see if we can fix it'#bc i was dealing w a lot of this joint shit as a kid too but if i said anything my parents would get furious about me#'trying to get out of school by faking sick'#didnt matter if the problem was that my feet hurt bc my shoes were always too small hand me downs (an easily fixable issue)#or if i had sprained my ankle for the 10th time that month because there is something fundamentally wrong with my joints#they would just completely refuse to listen or help in any way and usually punish me for asking#so.... the experience of having someone ask me about my pain. listen. believe me. and start talking about what we can try to ameliorate it#is uh. somewhat novel. and also a lot.#chronic illness#im also still expecting someone to be like 'hey so this program is actually for people who are REALLY in pain and you dont qualify#because youre not that bad'#but nobody has said that yet which on the one hand. yay treatment (hopefully)#but on the other hand. when im not actively in a flare up or going into one i am always at least 80% convinced that im making it all up#or that im blowing it out of proportion or something#which also serves to stop me from spiralling 24/7 into health anxiety ocd doom#so with that barrier temporarily removed bc a specialist was nice to me i am now free to spiral#which. i am#should probably just start weaving before i go insane etc

Ateez reaction to you being hurt
notes: I'm feeling angsty today
Seonghwa
He had a hard day, practicing for hours on end for Ateez's 10th year anniversary concert. He wanted to get home and pour his heart out in front of you and just spend time with you. But he came home and you weren't there much to his dismay, but he waited for you. It was raining heavily. He called you again and again but you weren't answering making him anxious and adding to his frustration. Three hours later, the rain still hadn't stopped and he was scared and furious. The bell rang and Seonghwa opened the door. You stood there, completely drenched in the rain. He stepped aside to let you in. You walked inside and got to the living room when he pulled you by your arm to make you face him.
"where the hell were you? And why weren't you answering your damn phone?" he tone was harsh.
"Seonghwa please, not now I-"
"no we need to talk about this now! answer me! Do you know how worried I was? And I was already frustrated to begin with!"
You lowered your head and let the tears spill but it seemed like the rain water was dripping down your face.
He shook you arm to pull you, making you lift your face and roughly pull out of his grasp. That's when he saw the tears.
"I had a bad day too! Okay? My awful coworkers took credit for my project that I worked so hard on! And on top of that I locked the car with the keys, my wallet and phone inside! And I had to walk home because I didn't have any money for a bus or a cab! There! Got your answer!"
Seonghwa's eyes softened at your words and he tried hugging you but you pulled back.
"no I'm not in the mood and I'm drenched"
You went to your room and locked yourself in the bathroom to cry in the shower.
Hongjoong
The track he was working on was almost ready and he wanted you to be the first person to hear it so he called you to invite you over to his studio.
"hey babe what are you doing?"
"nothing much Joong. What's up"
"can you come over in the evening? I want you to listen to my song"
There was a pause from your end.
"hello? Baby can you hear me?"
"ye-ah Joongie. I'm busy these days, I'm so sorry. I'll try to come after the next week."
"no that's okay, you don't need to put your work aside. I'm free today since I finished the song, I'll come over. How does that sound?"
"I'll tell you in a few hours, okay?"
Hongjoong felt something was off so he quickly got done with his files and saved the track and packed up. He drove straight to your apartment and knocked on the door. You didn't expect to see Hongjoong at the door so you hid behind the door after opening it. He eyed you suspiciously.
"are you okay?" he asked, pushing the door slightly to get inside.
"yeah why do you ask?" you spoke nonchalantly, standing in the akimbo pose.
"you're acting... unusual"
"nonsense"
He slid it aside and took you towards your bedroom. He found it unusual how you were walking slowly and stopped.
"you're hurt." he stated and his suspicion was confirmed when you didn't answer.
"I slipped and sprained my ankle. I didn't want you to worry so I didn't tell you and I didn't agree to meet you"
He picked you up and laid you on the couch, snuggling next to you.
"I'm here to take care of you" he whispered and turned the TV on.
Yunho
Yunho is always in a good mood when he gets to see you. He wants to make the best use of the time he gets to spend with you. So during his break, you guys went to his home town to meet his parents but you stayed in a hotel even though he insisted that you stayed at his house. But you were a woman of principles and didn't think it was appropriate to stay at your boyfriend's house before marriage. He came to pick you up in his car and took you to an amusement park. You guys took roller-coaster rides and other scary looking rides too. He asked if you wanted to eat something and proposed the idea of going to a restaurant but you you told him that hotdogs from the vendors in the park would be nice and that you wanted to stay there longer and get on more rides. After eating you two took that discovery ride. While getting off you felt a little dizzy and tripped on something and fell. Yunho quickly helped you up and asked if you were okay and you told him yes, even though your ankle hurt a lot. After the fun time, he drove you back to your hotel. As you got off, you winced in pain and knelt to the ground, clutching your ankle. He worriedly got out the car and came to your side.
"your ankle is swollen" he spoke, concerned.
"it's fine, I can manage"
"are you kidding me? Why didn't you tell me you're hurt?"
"because I didn't want to ruin tee date"
"you can't stay here y/n, you're coming out with me"
"I said it's okay Yunho, I'll take painkillers and an ice pack, I'll be fine"
"I'm sorry you got hurt"
"you don't need to be sorry babe" you said and kissed him.
Yeosang
Yeosang wanted to go skateboarding with you but you didn't know how to ride a skate so he took it upon himself to teach you even though you gave the idea of him skating and you cycling next to him but he said no. He took you to a nearby park and helped you learn for over a month. When he deemed you ready, he encouraged you to ride it on your own with him holding your hands or your waist. You took a deep breath.
"you can do this" he smiled.
"I hope so" you replied and steadied yourself.
"I can already see us skateboarding down the road. I can't wait"
"okay here goes nothing"
You gained momentum with your foot pushing the board forward and continued with a steady pace.
"I'm doing it! Yeosang I'm doing it!" you cheered but made the mistake of looking back towards him which made you lose your balance since you were relatively new to this. You fell on your back but broke your fall with your arm.
Yeosang rushed towards you and helped you up. You yelped in paid when he grabbed your arm.
"it hurts so much" you shook.
He took you to a hospital where the doctor told you your wrist was dislocated.
He felt awful and blamed it on himself. He stayed by your side before and after your surgery and even helped you with your daily life stuff until you got better. You were happy to spend a lot of time with him and told him it wasn't his fault.
"you are never riding a skateboard again. Like ever."
San
You were visiting Namhae to meet San's family. He always talked about them and told you how important they were to him so you paid them a visit, knowing it would make San the happiest.
You were sat on the couch, chatting with his sister while the TV was on. It was a random drama which none of you were interested in, rather wanting to talk about girl stuff.
"Sannie is a sensitive one, though he doesn't show it" his sister let you know.
"I know, I have never seen him cry. I used to think he doesn't care but then I found out that he's just very good at controlling his emotions."
You two were indulged in the conversation and didn't see San entering the room with Byeol in his arms.
"Y/N I want you to meet our family's master"
You and his sister giggled.
"Byeol, this is Y/N. I hope you come to terms with the fact that your position as the girl I'd die for has been taken by her."
You were a blushing mess and had butterflies in your stomach. San was always kind and loving towards you. And as if Byeol had understood what San had said, she started acting up.
"can I pet her?" you asked, earning encouraging nods from the Choi siblings. You stretched your hand you gently pet her head but Byeol acted first and violently scratched your hand, drawing blood.
"Byeol no!" San whined as the cat hissed at you and ran to the other room.
You clutched your hand tightly, trying to soothe the pain but it came in waves and burned. San worriedly came closer to you and him and his sister examined your hand. There was definitely blood coming out of the claw marks. They had to take you to the hospital to get you tetanus shots.
"I'm so sorry Y/N, your hand is ruined and you're in pain because of me"
"not because of you Sannie, it was Byeol but you can't really blame her, she an animal after all"
Mingi
Mingi took you to the dance studio to show you the new dance he choreographed. He was happy with it and spent a lot of time perfecting it and wanted you to see it. You were supportive of his ambitions as a rapper and a dancer, aside from Ateez. He was grateful for you for being by his side and understanding the time and effort it required. You never complained when he was unable to make time for you sometimes, knowing that he was working hard. The bond you shared was strong and you two were inseparable.
"okay I'm gonna start, queue the music"
And with that he started dancing. You were in awe of the way his body moved and how effortlessly he executed the difficult moves. You clapped when he finished.
"wow Mingi... this is... wow... I'm so proud" you were at a loss of words.
"come on I'll teach you the floor move, it's the easiest"
It was the easiest, for a trained dancer that is. You both didn't realize how difficult it actually was. You, because you weren't a dancer and Mingi made it look like a piece of cake. Mingi, because it came naturally to him and he had insane body control so he thought it was actually easy.
He taught you how to slide using your core strength. You didn't have a strong core to begin with, so you landed on your knee and pain shot up in your leg. You clutched it and let out a whine. Mingi took a look at it saw it reddening.
"I'm sorry for making you do this" he shook his head.
"nah I shouldn't have said yes" you smiled, not wanting him to be upset.
"let's get you home"
Wooyoung
He kept his artist of the month news a secret from you. He wanted to surprise you with it. So when you saw it on twitter you called him and congratulated him.
"this is huge Woo, I'm so proud of you!"
"I know you're rooting for me. I want you to come at the practice session we're having, just so we can perform on stage too"
You agreed to come and dressed up for him. When he saw you enter the studio in your black jeans that hugged your curves and the loose green cardigan which you styled and tucked in from the front. You had your hair down and mere sight of you took Wooyoung's breath away. His dancer friend from bb trippin' knew about your relationship but some of the staff was different that day and didn't know who you were.
Your eyes gleaned, watching Wooyoung dance. He was in his element and looked ethereal. The practice session ended and before you could run to him and hug him, you saw another woman, a staff member get close to him, handing him a water bottle and wiping his sweat off with a cloth. You were stunned but didn't think muhh about it, since his job required him to be around other women too. You watched from a distance how she talked to him for some time and subtly placed a hand on his thigh, giggling and telling him he did well. You were hurt to say the least. He didn't spare you a glance and then talked to her as if you weren't in the room. You didn't ruin the mood for him at the moment but were screaming internally watching her flirt with your man in broad daylight and him going along with him.
After the session ended, his choreographer called him to discuss important matters with him and the staff started leaving. You noticed how the same woman was hanging around, until another senior staff member told her to pack up and leave. After the discussion, Wooyoung came running to you.
"did you like it?" he asked excitedly.
"the performance? yes. The little show with that staff woman? absolutely not"
His face fell at your words.
"baby listen, I had to let it slide. It's not like I could've swat her hands away and tell her to go away. Having good chemistry with the staff results in good performances. Please try to understand"
"I don't know Wooyoung. And this is just what I saw. I can't stop imagining what else goes on since I'm not around all the time"
"I want you to trust me. I'm all yours. No one can take me away from you. No one. You don't know the hold you have around my heart. You don't know what you do to me. It's you and only you. Never forget that."
Jongho
If there's one thing in this world that Jongho liked doing the most, it was comparing how strong he was compared to you. No, you didn't even compare. You didn't even come close. He loved lifting you like it was nothing, tightening jars on purpose so you would ask him to open them for you and lifting the furniture with one hand while you both cleaned. He also loved arm wrestling with you with just two of his fingers of his non dominant hand, while you struggled to win with your dominant hand.
You both sat in the middle of the living room. Jongho challenged you to arm wrestling and the loser would have to clean the dishes. He wasn't even trying while you were shaking by using the entire strength in your arm. He got a little cocky when his hand got tired and decided to end it with a bang. He used intense force and your hand landed on the table with a thud. You pulled it back and rubbed it. He didn't fully realize how hard he hurt you until he saw just how red the back of your hand was. He immediately apologized but you got up to give yourself first aid, not responding to him. He followed you to the kitchen and tried helping but you shoved him aside.
"leave me alone"
"I'm sorry I hurt you. Let me help"
"Jongho please just leave me alone right now"
He felt awful to have hurt you and after you went to your bedroom, he did the dishes. You had invited him to stay the night at your apartment so he was glad he could be around to make it up to you.
He came to you some time later and apologized again and took responsibility of his actions.
"you scared me Jongho"
"I'm so sorry, I'll be more careful I promise"

Stories from the workplace
alright, so I’ve got some story rrriigggghhhtttt out of a soap opera. I have this coworker who is about as empathic as a plastic bag around your face. I’m talking sociopath cause I have compared her actions with the traits and i fits like a glove. She originally worked at our sister location and had worked at our location previously when we were short-staffed. Even then I already gotten weird vibes from her so I was glad i wasn’t a perminent thing. Years go by and she gets into a fight with her manager and the rest of her coworkers there. Boss didn’t want to lose her so hired her at our location. All is fine and dandy for a while but it didn’t stay that way. Our manager got offered a job elsewhere and took it, so we got a new manager. This manager had already been offered the job before but due to complications couldn’t take the job. (She was pregnant and after giving birth had heart problems. She’s got a pacemaker now) This lady is a fucking trooper, she works her ass off to make sure we as employees are happy. I can get pretty frustrated with work but if she asks me to pick up an extra shift I will. So, we get 3 weeks of vacation time. I took mine 21st of October til the 10th of November. We have 6 people currently including my manager. We have a student who took his vacation in the beginning of summer because he still goes with his parents. We had one coworker (we’ll call her Bean cause this story involves them) go in the middle of summer with miss Sociopath taking 2 weeks off. Manager didn’t even have a full vacation because she was still doing paper work. Then there is our old man, our fixure of the workplace because he’s been there for nearly 20 years. He took his vacation in September, the first 3 weeks. I thought ‘it’s fine I can take the last and a few in October’ NOPE. Miss Sociopath took the last week of September. Summer is usually a work-heavy period so I was basically running on fumes at that point... But since I had a vacation planned with friends the first week of November I figured ‘21st October til 10 November it is!’ I submitted those dates before september since the work scedule for that month had already been planned. So the work scedule for October and November are planned. Miss Sociopath whines she has exams IN THE MIDDLE OF MY VACATION. Manager told me not to worry about it since I had submitted my dates well on time and miss Sociopath DIDN’T. It did nothing to stop the worrying... Then... It happened... The other coworker, Bean, gets in an accident. She was riding on her scooter and had to evade a cat. Ending up in a ditch. She sprained and tore her knee and ankle, ontop her neck turned stiff so moving her head wasn’t possible. This happened when miss Sociopath was still on holiday for her last week so I had to take over Bean’s shifts which I did even if I was running on fumes and highly irritable. Did ask our Fixture if he could work one of my shifts since I’d be working 7 in a row and 8 was gonna kill me. He had no trouble with that. Since Bean’s injuries were pretty severe she was out for atleast all of October. Now I have to say I was pretty frustrated having to work extra shifts when I was already on my last legs. But it was NOTHING compared to Miss Sociopath. Miss Sociopath accussed Bean of faking it and that Bean could work a few hours regardless of her injuries. And that once SHE worked with a BROKEN FOOT. (if it truly been only her leg Bean technically could have worked since she’d been allowed to use the chair. It would be highly uncomforable but it could be done. However i wasn’t just her leg) She also called the rest of us lazy since we didn’t ‘do our jobs properly’ and that if she were manager ‘you’d all have to fear for your job’. (lady, if you were manager I’d quit on the spot, have fun filling 3 full shifts ontop of those 4 other shifts from Bean. Our shifts are divided in 3 aday, you’re fucked if that happens) Bean wasn’t back before I went on vacation so the manager needed to request emergency aiders. But during my holiday I got a notification from the work group. I feared it was trouble so I looked. No such thing. It was a Kermit drinking tea meme. Something very odd in a group chat meant for work related messages... It was posted by miss Sociopath and had 3 sentences: 1. ‘I don’t actually see you as a collegue.’ 2. ‘Oh you mean we’re more like friends?’ 3. ‘No I mean you do jackshit’ ............................... Yeh, she REALLY posted that..... So the Manager asked the Student, he was the admin of the group, if he could delete it. He told the manager only Miss Sociopath could delete it. So Miss Sociopath responded with: ‘I don’t see the problem? Is self-mockery forbidden?’ Bitch. You’ve been shouting that we’re lazy. Do you REALLY THINK we’d see this post as SELF-MOCKERY? .... So being a little shit I decided to explain it to her <3 I told her: ‘The text implies YOU view US as lazy. It’s not self-mockery if it’s not about yourself.’
Welp~ This is where her true persona shines~ Because her response on that was truly: ??? Dafuq??? (I’ve shown it to various people and that was legit their response) Her response: ‘Wolf, firstly, I think my vocabulary is broader than yours. (good for you? I doesn’t make you smarter tho) Secondly, You don’t know if I’m lazy nowadays since I don’t work extra. So if you want to have an opinion you better ask for facts first’ :justsaying: (No, no I don’t. You can have an opinion WITHOUT facts. I can find you a stupid crotchgoblin, doesn’t have to be true. That’s why it’s an OPINION.)  Seriously, I had a giggle with that ludicrous answer but the Manager was fed up. The Manager snapped to cut the crap and that the chat wasn’t for this crap. Miss Sociopath replied with: ‘I was seriously joking about my new motivation’ bu was promptly shut down again. Then she left the group chat :3c (oops~) I did apologize to my manager in private because I didn’t think Miss Sociopath would explode like THAT. Manager said it was cool and enjoy the rest of my holiday. Which I did~ So now I’m back at work, Bean and the Manager are the first coworkers I’ve seen so far. And this is what I’ve heard regarding Miss Sociopath: - She’s pissy because I called her out -  She’s driven the Department of Personnel crazy to the point that they hang up if she calls. - She’s texted the Manager so much and at such odd hours (3am) that we can’t text her after 6pm or on weekends. (unless emergency like gas-leak or something) - She’s called Bean a ‘Fat Toad’ (Bean lost like 99lbs in a short time, rude) - She’s been rude towards customers - She’s tried to whore herself out AT WORK (chatting up guys to see if they’re willing... DON’T STICK YOUR DICK IN CRAZY) - She’s threatened and yelled muliple times she’s going to quit (oh please do, you won’be missed) So the manager is going to have a review with her (letting slip Miss Sociopath’s contract ends in February) and that she’s probably only going to give her the 8-hours stated on her contract. (Missy ain’t happy about that) We’re all getting a review but Miss Sociopath is probably the only one on the chopping block.

Imagine: Being Sam and Dean’s sister and having a crush on Castiel
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“C’mon, Sam, it’s obvious!“ Dean exclaimed rather loudly and looked at Sam, who only scoffed. “You can’t be serious right now.“ he answered “Cas? And Y/N? I can’t imagine it even in a million years. I mean...she’s so...“ Sam bit his lip and raised his eyebrows, looking for the right words to picture his older sister. “Reckless?“ Dean hinted with a scoff “Temperamental?“ Sam shrugged and put his hands in his pockets. “And he’s so...“ this time Dean cut him off “Yeah, yeah. He’s a nerdy angel, but okay, just because you can’t picture it doesn’t mean it isn’t possible! I mean, I can’t believe you haven’t noticed! Like that one time when he, oh, so heroically backstabbed the demon that held her by the throat?“ Sam scoffed “He’s done that for us a million times.“ But Dean continued “Or when he held her hand while she was hanging from the 10th floor of the apartment building? And I was wondering why they hardly looked at each other without blushing afterwards. Y/N didn’t want to say what exactly was said back there.“
“Dean! He pulled you out of hell! He saved us countless of times!“ Sam yelled. “Yeah, but, when she sprained her ankle last month, Cas practically didn’t leave her side. When would he do something like that for us?“ the older sibling scoffed “And the way they blush when they have to sit near each other during research.” Sam still couldn’t believe it. Y/N having a crush on Castiel of all people! “Believe me, Sammy.” Dean continued “Opposites attract and me, of all people, understand these things. And their little games are seriously getting on my nerves.” Sam looked at him surprised “What do you mean?” The seriousness on his brother’s face almost scared him “I say we finally set them up on a date if they don’t want to do it themselves.”
Tumblr media
“What exactly did you have to call me here for again?“ Castiel asked in his usual annoyed tone and his expression said exactly how displeased he was when the Winchesters called him from heaven. At 11 at night. But that expression softened when he looked at Y/N and he cleared his throat, looking away from her awkwardly. Their relationship was rather strange. He refused to believe he was in love and she did everything in her power to ensure her brothers don’t notice her crush on the angel. She sometimes even acted mean and arrogant! Well, Cas thought, she sure has inherited more qualities of one brother more than the other. She had Dean’s personality and Sam’s intellect, making her a perfect combination of the two. But words, describing her as ‘perfect‘ or ‘amazing‘ and ‘beautiful‘ made Castiel’s mind drift off elsewhere and he blushed more than needed, so he tried to avoid thinking about them.
“We think...“ Sam stuttered, trying to find the right words and avoiding the angel’s gaze, “We think a demon is behind the disappearance of several people here.“ Dean continued with an awkward smile stretched across his lips “We called you here to...“ Dean stuttered “To help us kill it.“ Sam finished the sentence. Both Castiel and Y/N raised their eyebrows at them “As far as I know...“ Castiel started “You never called me for an ordinary demon?“ Y/N pushed herself off the desk she was leaning on “Yeah. What’s so special about this one that we have to call Trenchcoat over there to help us?“ she eyed them suspiciously. Yes, this little scene was enough to explain their relationship “We’ve never had problems with dealing with one demon. Where did you find him anyway? I was with you the entire day. I thought we were staying here for the night and leaving“ Dean turned his attention to her now and cleared his throat “Well, change of plans. This one is too powerful.“ he exclaimed confidently and maybe suspiciously cheerful. “We’ll need Cas’es help.“
Y/N opened her mouth to say something, her eyebrow still raised, but closed it soon after. “Alright. Where do we start?” she finally asked, pacing around the room. “Me and Sam are going out to ask some witnesses! You two stay here and...uh...research stuff.” Dean grabbed Sam by the elbow and with a final awkward smile, he started pulling him towards the door. “Wait, you didn’t even put on your disguises!” She yelled after them, but just then, the door of the motel room was slammed shut and only muffled voices were heard. Angry ones at that. Castiel and Y/N stared at the door for awhile, until the angel sighed heavily, his hands in his pockets “Alright. What do you suggest we do?” he asked, still not looking at her. “Those two are up to something.” Y/N answered “Well, since we have no leads on anything, I plan on taking a break from these two and their shenanigans.” she grabbed her purse from the nightstand by her bed “I’m going to the bar. You coming? First round’s on me.” Castiel looked at her with surprise and hoped he didn’t say anything embarrassing, so he only answered her with the word “Yes.”
Tumblr media
The bar wasn’t far from the hotel and there was nothing to worry about in case they were attacked. It was an ordinary bar in the middle of nowhere with old, shabby furniture, wooden tables, a bartender who stared at everyone suspiciously and a waitress who, Y/N was sure, did more for her clients than just serve drinks. After all, Y/N was armed with a pistol in her purse and an angel was with her, so they would watch each other’s backs. It was two hours past midnight and the two of them never stopped talking about anything they found interesting. At first, it seemed they were both on the edge in one another’s presence and for a half an hour just stared at the floor awkwardly, but after several drinks, they loosened up and chatted and laughed at the thousands of stories Y/N told and the memories they all shared.
“I haven’t told you about the time I literally bitch slapped a demon chick in front of three others and my brothers included.“ Y/N spoke proudly “Her face was priceless, especially when I told her off after. Let’s just say she will remember it all her miserable life in Hell and learn her lesson not to mess with my brothers. Especially Sammy.“ She took a swing from her fourth glass of gin and somewhat had started slurring her words by now. Castiel wasn’t far behind. He drank glasses of whiskey one after the other and he, himself, started feeling the alcohol doing its magic on his body. He was staring at her adoringly and in a way he would find unacceptable and inappropriate if the circumstances were different.
“Who taught you to drink like that?“ she asked with a playful smirk stretched across her lips, downing the last of her drink and motioned to the waitress to order a new one. “Oh, well...“ Castiel stuttered and blushed, shuffling in his seat awkwardly. Y/N leaned back on her chair and crossed her legs on the table. His eyes lingered there for several moments “You know...“ she spoke, making him tear his eyes away from her thighs “I wonder how much of a bad influence Dean must be if he can corrupt an angel.“ she laughed playfully. Castiel joined her “Well, he is something.“
Their new glasses of drinks came. “I’m only kidding, Cas.” she smiled and removed her legs from the table, ignoring the glare the waitress gave her. “I actually... she blushed slightly, but never shifted her eyes from his “I like you, Castiel. It’s not just the gin talking. I liked you for a long time. Just too proud to admit sooner...” she scoffed at herself This was the moment they were both waiting for... In the blink of an eye Castiel was next to her with angelic speed and she only had time to gasp, before his hand wrapped around the back of her neck and pulled her in for a kiss.
Tumblr media
“I swear I’ll kill them both if this doesn’t work!“ Dean threw the room keys on the desk and sat on his bed. “I don’t know, Dean. You know how she tends to be.“ Sam shrugged “Proud till the end.“ Dean glared at him “Then all my hope is in angel boy.“ Sam sighed and raised his eyebrows, walking over to the window and looking at the dark parking lot in the back of the motel. Suddenly he froze in his spot, staring with disbelief somewhere in the distance. “Hey, Dean...“ he called, sounding almost frightened “You should see this...“. Dean blinked at his brother and stood up to see what surprised his brother so much. When he saw what Sam was talking about, everything started going black for him. “Seriously?!“ he yelled “The Impala?!“ Sam suddenly burst out in an uncontrollable fit of laughter, holding onto his stomach “Not my baby! I’ll kill them!“ Sam wiped a stray tear from the end of his eye and looked at his brother amused “Wasn’t part of the plan, huh?“
Tumblr media
Y/N didn’t know for how long their kiss continued, but surely didn’t want it to end. When Castiel pulled away, he was smiling a mysterious smile and Y/N scoffed “Okay, let’s say you feel the same way, then?” she asked playfully. “Well, I’d say it’s obvious.” he answered, scoffing “And I think I know why your brothers were acting so weird earlier.” Y/N downed her drink in one gulp and cringed slightly as the liquid burned her throat “I figured. Only they’re able to come up with such shenanigans. And as thankful as I am, I think we should pay Dean back in some way.” She looked at Castiel with half lidded eyes, which were shining with mischief. “You...have something in mind?” the angel asked and in the next moment she raised her hand to silence him and slurred in a drunken way with a lazy smile “You know what would really make him mad?” she asked and let out a light laugh “Let’s have...sex in his car.”

How did it get so bad for Marcus Mariota?
Tumblr media
Retired NFL lineman Geoff Schwartz looks at what has gone wrong for the former No. 2 pick and what his future holds.
With the news of the Tennessee Titans benching quarterback Marcus Mariota, it’s clear his time in Nashville is coming to an end after this season. While Mariota did lead the Titans to two playoff appearances in his first four seasons, his tenure in Tennessee will go down as a disappointment for the second pick in the 2015 draft.
We all have players we personally root for, either because they play for your favorite team, have a story that’s worth celebrating, or they attended your alma mater. For Mariota, the last two were the reasons I was rooting for him success. He was the first Heisman winner in Oregon football history, and he took the program to heights we hadn’t seen before. He was soft-spoken, but a baller on the field. And then also, by every account, he’s just a fantastic kid. Family man, respectful, and an excellent leader off the field.
But why did Mariota not live up to his draft slot? I’ll dive into a few reasons why and also what I think happens next for him.
Mariota hasn’t had much coaching stability
There are so many influences in the development of highly drafted quarterbacks that can make or break their career. Their talent and personal growth is part of that process, but I’d argue, and most would agree with me, that coaching is the No. 1 reason a young quarterback succeeds or not. A great coach can turn an average quarterback into a good quarterback, and a good quarterback into a great quarterback.
Unfortunately, Mariota didn’t have benefit of excellent coaching for most of his career, which isn’t the only reason we’ve gotten to this point, but it’s worth discussing.
Mariota was drafted by Ken Whisenhunt, who was properly fired seven games into Mariota’s rookie season. Enter Mike Mularkey to be the new tutor for Mariota as he finished out an OK rookie season. Mularkey remained head coach through 2017, and then he was replaced by Mike Vrabel.
This past offseason, the team promoted Arthur Smith to be the new offensive coordinator, Mariota’s fourth OC and fifth playcaller in his career.
No quarterback in the NFL is going to succeed with four offensive coordinators in five seasons. First off, that means there’s a new scheme each season. After you’ve spent months working on mastering one system, one language, one voice, now you’re switching to another system, language, and voice.
I’ve mentioned this often and it’s important here: When you install a new offense, it takes nearly half a season to get into the flow of the game. So when you finally feel comfortable after your first season in that system, it’s thrown in the garbage with a new offensive coordinator.
Lastly, when you have an offensive coordinator longer than a season, he can tailor an offense to your skill set more easily entering year two. He’s seen you for a season, knows your strengths and weaknesses, and will work hard to make some adjustments. You can’t have that occur with new coaches every season.
Mariota’s injury history keeps growing
In 12 games his rookie year, Mariota missed four games due to an MCL sprain. Still, he completed 62 percent of passes and improved throughout the season. Although he ranked 30th in Football Outsiders’ DYAR metric, he was 16th in QBR, which takes into account his top-notch running ability. People in Nashville were excited for the future of Mariota.
In a fabulous development, Mariota improved so much in his second year. He threw 26 touchdowns to nine interceptions in 15 starts, and finished the season ranked 13th in DYAR, 10th in quarterback DVOA, and 12th in QBR. His adjusted yards per pass attempt was the best of his career at 7.9.
Everything was heading in the right direction — and then, disaster struck in Week 16. Mariota broke his leg and his promising season was over. That broken leg feels like the tipping point of his career. He seemed to never be the same guy. He never had the pocket movement or the confidence to stand tall in the pocket again, and he lost the ability to take and compete deep passes. I’ve theorized that Mariota never quite trusted his leg after that injury. He had never suffered a major injury until that time, not in high school and not in college.
For athletes as exceptional as Mariota, they often think they are invincible — maybe not out loud, but subconsciously. And if you’re injured, that invincibility goes away.
Beyond that, not everyone recovers from the same injury in the same manner. In 2014, Cleveland Browns center, and now current Atlanta Falcons center, Alex Mack fractured dislocated his ankle about four weeks before I had the same injury. He rehabbed, same as I, and he was fine. No lingering effects. I wasn’t fine. My ankle never bounced back to even close to 100 percent. Same injury, close to the same rehab, but two different results.
It just always felt to me that Mariota lost something when he got injured, and I’m not sure he’d disagree a bit. He returned in 2017 and played in every game but one due to a hamstring strain. He finished the season with only 13 touchdowns and 15 interceptions, adjusted yards per attempt at 6.2 (yikes), and dropped to 19th in DYAR and 20th in DVOA.
But it was his first season off an injury. Maybe he needed time to work through it.
In 2018, under new coach Vrabel and his third offensive coordinator in four seasons, things didn’t look much better. Mariota started 13 games, with only 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions. His DYAR and DVOA rankings fell to 27th, with his QBR slightly higher at 22. Mariota stopped taking chances downfield while also not using his legs as much.
He missed one game due to a pinched nerve in his elbow, another with a neck stinger, and reportedly dealt with a few other injuries that year.
Entering 2019, Mariota got his fourth OC and no guaranteed contract after this season. Clearly, it hasn’t gone well, as Ryan Tannehill replaced him last week and is now starting in Week 7.
Mariota’s OL hasn’t always done a great job of protecting him
Besides the injury sapping of his powers and his revolving door of coaches, there is one other factor when discussing his decline: his offensive line. Mariota has been sacked 155 times in his career, including a league-leading 25 times this season so far.
Mariota’s protection hasn’t been ideal, but it also hasn’t been as bad as it looks. For one, Mariota holds the ball too long and sometimes he leaves the pocket too early.
Mariota has taken countless sacks each season that weren’t on him, but it also felt like the Titans never designed an offense to limit sacks. That could be on the play designer, but also on Mariota. He’s never struck me as a quarterback who would succeed with a quick passing game, which would be the logical move to make after getting sacked so much.
So while his protection does deserve blame, Mariota shares some of the fault.
What happens to Mariota now?
I think Mariota can be “fixed” if he goes somewhere with an outstanding coach. Are you telling me he couldn’t be like Teddy Bridgewater in New Orleans? Of course he could, and that might be the route for him, at least for next season.
A high-priced backup, with the chance to play if the starter goes down. I wish Mariota luck, as I’m one of his fans!

Girls’ Generation Appreciation
So I’m late to the game (better late than never)... I know but I want to completely congratulate Girls’ Generation for their 10th year anniversary. To still be a relevant and continuing girl group for that long is just truly amazing and I can’t even begin to explain how proud I am for them. So I’m going to try to express my appreciation through a story...
In June 2010, I was completely oblivious to the world of kpop. I honestly didn’t even know Korea was a country (I was like 11, give me a break). I was on vacation to Vietnam (I’m Vietnamese and I was visiting family). We went out to eat for my aunt’s birthday. There was a TV at this restaurant and it was playing this music channel. Now because I’m anti-social and my Vietnamese is decent, I stayed in front of that TV and just watched it for most of that lunch. As I was half watching it, this comes on.
youtube
Oh yes... my first experience with Girls’ Generation was Oh....
And I knew from that moment.... I was in love.
I really liked the song. I liked the video. I love the color (because I was obsessed with pink at that age). And I LOVED the girls. They’re so pretty, cute, happy, and talented.
Now what really attracted me to Girls’ Generation (or Kpop in general) was the fact that they were dancing and singing at the same time. Something I don’t see with American music at the time.
I came home from that party and I immediately looked up Girls’ Generation (thank you video for telling me the group) and as I got deeper into Girls’ Generation, I kept falling more in love. Like Run Devil Run was my jam. So was Gee, Into the New World, Genie, etc. With Girls’ Generation, I discovered more kpop groups and so I applaud Girls’ Generation for opening my eyes to this type of music I only listen to now.
So when I flew back to America, the first thing I did was show my cousins and friends about this new girl group that I discovered so that we can fangirl together (in which we did).
At this time of getting into them, Run Devil Run was released a couple months before I found out about Girls’ Generation and they were only in their third year. Now it’s been 10 years and I can’t even grasp by how much time has passed. Girls’ Generation are reaching their 30′s (still look way better than I ever could). Now I’ve grown for an 11 year old to almost a 19 year old (if you’re confused on the math, my birthday is in October so I was turning 12 in 2010). I was going into middle school at the age and now I’m on my way to my freshman year of college.
I never had the heart to move on to other girl groups. Now the cousins that I showed Girls’ Generation to 7 years ago has moved on. Some like Red Velvet, some like Twice, Lovelyz, Gfriend, I.O.I, Blackpink, etc. When even asked by one of my cousins as to who my favorite girl group was recently, I proudly said Girls’ Generation. She (sadly) responded she didn’t like them anymore as they are better girl groups out there (which I disagree to). Just from even thinking about liking another girl group more than Girls’ Generation just tore my heart. I can’t move on from the people who started my kpop obsession.
I also love Girls’ Generation for the start of my passion. I love to dance and that passion was awakened because of Girls’ Generation. Watching them dance to Oh, Run Devil Run, Genie, Into the New World, etc. made me interested in dancing like them. I self taught myself how to dance and till this very day, I still love it. I love it so much that I sprained my ankle for it... twice... and I still danced even though I should’ve been resting my ankle. I love it so much that I’m proud of the hard calluses on my feet. I love it so much that whenever I talk about dancing, people notice that I get so happy. I love it so much that I have no fear dancing in front of people and this is coming from a person who hates attention and socializing. I cannot just simply move on from the people who was the start of my passion.
I wasn’t with them from the beginning but I’m so happy to have been on this journey with them for 7 years. I will support them through the upcoming years. I will support them even beyond Girls’ Generation. I promise to never move on to another girl group as they will always have a special place in my heart for eternity. Thank you Girls’ Generation for the amazing experience and discovery I’ve made since I’ve been a Sone. I will forever be grateful for everything you’ve done for me, your fans, and for kpop.
Happy 10th year and I wish for the best of luck~

Charles Mann
Hidey Ho, everyone! My name is Charley Mann, I'm 23 years old and I'm not good at ultimate. I currently work in the Princeton, NJ area and play in the very serious and very important MCUDL winter draft league. I just recently moved to the area after graduating from Emory last spring (with majors in political science and german studies, the future unemployment combo pack) and working on the Buford Highway Corridor in Atlanta over the summer. I started playing ultimate with JUICE my sophomore year after quitting the volleyball team because I kept getting severe ankle sprains almost every other month. During my rookie season I decided to try to lay out for the first time ever at High Tide and broke my wrist (I had to ice my wrist with two beers because the folks at high tide would only give me one bag of ice which I used for a sprained ankle). I served as social chair at Emory which basically meant that I ran the twitter, posted memes to the groupme (an oft-overlooked responsibility of social chairs), and organized team gatherings. Another responsibility I had was to roast coaches and captains as much as possible and I'd like to think I made their lives as difficult as possible during my time with the team.
Outside of ultimate in college, I spent time on the exec board for a student organization called Refugee Revive, which looked to serve the refugee community in the Clarkston area. I didn't do much with the organization, but I tried to solidify the structure of the organization (which I admittedly did not do a great job at) and tried to connect the organization as best as I could with community leaders I had met through work. Between my junior and senior year, I split my time interning for a refugee resettlement organization in the Tucker area of Atlanta and cleaning the pools at Emory (nothing makes you appreciate working for free in an air-conditioned office like scrubbing an Olympic sized pool with a hand brush). My senior year I was lucky enough to be selected as a Community Building and Social Change fellow at Emory which granted me the opportunity to work in Atlanta the summer after I graduated doing affordable housing research and advocacy.
I'm currently scheduled to go into the Peace Corps in July (fingers crossed I get all of my forms in by then) as an Early English Educator. If anyone has comments or stories about their experiences working abroad, please hit me up as I'm dying to learn more about what it's like.
This week I'll probably cover
-My love of Anders and Dan as coaches
-My love of TJ and Gabe as coaches
-My deep love of music and music memes
-How it feels to have Fairley guilt trip you
-Why Atlanta is awesome
-Weird stories from my time with Juice
-My juicy romantic life
-Why Lebron is better than MJ
-Other twitter accounts that I think people should follow
-My struggles to become a big time ultimate frisbee celebrity
-How I feel about MCUDL so far
-Whether or not I feel loved by my father
Thanks for being here and don't forget to follow https://twitter.com/EmoryJuice

LAS VEGAS – Boxing’s longest-reigning heavyweight world champion Deontay “The Bronze Bomber’’ Wilder will take on his most dangerous challenger to date when he defends his WBC title in a rematch against once-beaten Cuban slugger Luis “King Kong’’ Ortiz in the main event of the FOX Sports PBC Pay-Per-View Saturday, Nov. 23 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Three-division champion and current WBA Featherweight Champion Leo “El Terremoto” Santa Cruz will seek a title in another division in the co-main event when he takes on Miguel “El Michoacan” Flores for the WBA Super Featherweight Championship as part of the pay-per-view action beginning at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. Wilder and Ortiz will renew the rivalry they set in motion when they first engaged in an explosive showdown in Brooklyn that was one of 2018’s best fights. Wilder won that bout by 10th round TKO after Ortiz stunned him and almost had him out in the seventh round. The thrilling match featured plenty of twists and turns to necessitate a rematch. With a combined 66 knockouts in 74 matches, Wilder vs. Ortiz II is a heavyweight duel that guarantees an awesome display of punching power. The first fight last year saw Wilder dropping Ortiz in the fifth round, Ortiz stunning and hurting Wilder in a seventh round that he won 10-8 on all the judges’ cards, and Wilder eventually dropping Ortiz again with a powerful right uppercut that forced the referee to stop the bout in the 10th round. Tickets for the event, which is promoted by BombZquad Promotions, TGB Promotions and Mayweather Promotions, are on sale now and can be purchased at www.mgmgrand.com or www.axs.com. “We are thrilled to add this phenomenal heavyweight rematch between Deontay Wilder and Luis Ortiz to an exciting month of entertainment at MGM Grand,” Richard Sturm, President of Las Vegas Live Entertainment and Sports, said. “We can’t wait for fight fans to witness what is sure to be a ‘knockout’ of an evening at the Grand Garden Arena.” Wilder (41-0-1, 40 KOs), a bronze medal winner for the U.S. boxing team at the 2008 Olympic Games, has more than lived up to the nickname “The Bronze Bomber.’’ The 33-year-old Wilder has knocked out all but one of the men that he has faced in the ring, making him one of the most feared single-punch knockout artist in boxing today. The most active heavyweight champion in the sport, this will be Wilder’s third title defense in 11 months. He is coming off a highlight-reel first round knockout of Dominic Breazeale in Brooklyn on May 18. Before that had one of the most dramatic matches of 2018 when he dropped Tyson Fury twice, including a stunning knockdown in the 12th round, on the way to a split draw last December. Born and still living and training in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Wilder will return to fight at MGM Grand in Las Vegas for the first time since he won the heavyweight title with a dominant 12-round decision over Bermane Stiverne on January 17, 2015. The victory had even more significance for Wilder because it came on the birthday of his boxing idol, Muhammad Ali. The rematch against Ortiz will be his 10th title defense. “When I fought Ortiz not only did he have the pedigree, but also he had the classification of being the boogeyman of the division,” said Wilder. “I agree with those who say that Luis Ortiz was my toughest fight to date. No one wanted to fight him and they still don’t. In the rematch there’s more confidence and more motivation to do what I have to do. I’ve already seen the style before. It’s going to make it more fun. I can’t wait to see how he tries to handle me when I’m at my best. “This is the second big fight for me under my company, BombZquad Promotions, and I’m very happy about that. We still have a lot of work to do to build it into the kind of company that I know it’s going to be in the future, but it’s coming along. To be able to do a FOX Sports PBC Pay-Per-View at MGM Grand in Las Vegas under my own banner is fantastic.” Ortiz (31-1, 26 KOs) has ripped off three-straight victories since suffering the only loss of his career in that first match with Wilder in 2018, including most recently winning a unanimous decision over Christian Hammer on March 2. The southpaw, who was born in Camaguey, Cuba and now lives in Miami, is one of the most avoided heavyweight contenders in boxing because of his vicious knockout power and crafty southpaw boxing skills. In the first fight with Wilder, Ortiz hurt Wilder with a textbook counter right hook that nearly made him the first Cuban heavyweight world champion. Outside of the ring, Wilder and Ortiz share a common bond—they’re both motivated to fight for their daughters. Wilder’s oldest daughter, Naieya, was born with spina bifida, motivating Wilder to take up boxing to pay for her medical expenses. Ortiz’s daughter, Lismercedes, has a painful skin condition called epidermolysis bullosa, which results in painful skin blistering and Ortiz has worked to raise awareness for. “I have to give Deontay Wilder a lot of credit for taking this fight because it shows he has the heart of a true champion,” said Ortiz. “He is not at all scared to take a dangerous fight, because let’s be honest, this is the most dangerous fight for him. In my opinion, he’s the best heavyweight in the world until someone beats him, and that’s exactly what I’m going to do on November 23 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on FOX Sports PBC Pay-Per-View. ‘King Kong’ is coming to Las Vegas!” A three-division world champion fighting out of Los Angeles, Santa Cruz (36-1-1, 19 KOs) holds the WBA featherweight title and will be making his debut at super featherweight and seeking a title in a fourth weight class. The 31-year-old has been a dominant force in the featherweight division since 2015, including two thrilling featherweight title duels against Abner Mares and Carl Frampton each. He lost the belt in his first match against Frampton in 2016, but reclaimed it in their rematch the following year. Santa Cruz has competed in title bouts in 16 of his last 18 fights, while picking up belts at 118, 122 and 126-pounds and is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Rafael Rivera in his last fight in February on FOX. “When I first started boxing my dream was to be a world champion and I’ve been fortunate to win three different world championships in three different divisions,” said Santa Cruz. “I couldn’t imagine winning championships in four divisions. It’s something I never really dreamed of and I’m very happy about this opportunity. “I know Flores is another tough Mexican boxer like me. He always comes forward, so it’s going to be a fun fight for the fans. I’m really looking forward to fighting again in Las Vegas at MGM Grand. It’s going to be a really exciting atmosphere because you have Deontay Wilder and Luis Ortiz in a heavyweight championship fight, and Deontay always knocks his opponents out, but we’re hoping that our fight will steal the night.” Flores (24-2, 12 KOs) was originally scheduled to fight Santa Cruz for the featherweight title in February, but severely sprained his ankle in training and had to withdraw from the fight. Born in Mexico, but raised in and fighting out of Houston, Flores rose up the rankings with victories over Ryan Kielczweski, Ruben Tamayo and Mario Briones. After suffering a loss to Dat Nguyen and seeking to rebound, Flores was ahead on the scorecards against Chris Avalos in a fight on FS1 when the contest was stopped due to a cut on Flores’ eyebrow that was controversially ruled to have come from a punch. Flores bounced back from that loss to stop Raul Chirino in April 2018 and also scored a TKO victory against Luis May in his most recent fight on June 29 after the ankle injury. “I’m extremely excited to be getting this opportunity once again to fight Leo Santa Cruz and win a world title,” said Flores. “Being the co-main event on this FOX Sports PBC Pay-Per-View card with Wilder vs. Ortiz headlining is incredible. This is a dream come true for me, and I’m going to take advantage of the situation. This moment in my life is something I’ve envisioned since I was a kid. On November 23, you will see the best version of myself as I plan to be in the best shape of my life, with the goal of becoming a world champion, and what better way to do it than in Las Vegas at MGM Grand. Leo and I are going to put on a great show, that you can guarantee.”

Who My Dad Really Was
My Dad was not a bad man. 'Nor was he a good man. He hurt me.... In a lot of ways.
Before you blame him, I need you to understand something. My Dad was sick. For a long time.
My Dad has a stroke and was diagnosed with kidney failure on April 10th, 2011; the day before my birthday.
He was in the hospital for six months I was ten years old. I didn’t understand anything.
Fast forward a few years of unable to stand, walk, or anything a healthy human would be able to do.
We had to build a porch deck, and had to mobilize our house. It was horrible.
Then, he had another stroke in 2015, I was fourteen. He had these visions, which were horrible.
For me, my mom, my grandma, my whole family.
He was never the same after that.
In 2017, he was in a nursing home because he had fallen and sprained his ankle.
My mom and I were never home 24/7, so we had to put him there for a few weeks.
And then...... He aspirated. And he never woke up. He died on October 25th, 2017.
You guys may hate me for saying this....... It's okay if you do.... But I was, slightly glad he was gone.
Before you judge me, let me explain.
He caused my anxiety. My depression. The reason I can barely talk to people in person.
He would taunt me. Yell at me. Say crude things to me.
He would tell me that I was never good enough. He would tell me that I would never be good enough.
He blamed my Sensory Processing Disorder (It's on the autism spectrum) for everything!
If I wanted to have a sleepover with friends?
"No! You have a disability!"
When I turned 16, I wanted to learn to drive.
"NO! I can't drive, so neither should you! You have a disability."
And people wonder why I still don't know how to drive....
I asked myself "what did I do to deserve this?"
And I had no answer for myself. I had no idea what to do at this point.
My Mom was always working, so she didn't hear everything that he said to me.
I was lonely. I had close to no friends. The ones who I talked to were rude to me, so I tended to ignore them.
My best friend and I had different classes and lunch, so we didn't see each other at all.
Plus, it's not as if I was allowed to hang out with people anyways....
It had to be approved close to two weeks apart.
I was just done. He hurt me so many times. And I was just done...
One November Afternoon, I came home from school and went straight to my room.
My Dad was at dialysis. Mom wouldn't pick him up for another hour.
I cried. For awhile, I cried..... And I decided my fate.
I decided to close down all my accounts. FaceBook, Fanfiction, Quotev, Deviantart, etc.
Deviantart was first.
My best friend.....
My savior.
The best thing that ever happened to me.....
One who I could never repay for what she did.
Megan....
Megan...... She saved my life.
I was ready to die.
I was ready to leave God's green earth.
But my best friend...
She saved me.
I regret that I ever did this....
But it brought me and Megan closer.
I almost took my life....
On November 8th of 2016.
Megan is the reason, to this day. Why I am still alive.
I then realized that my Dad was the cause of all my anxiety. My depression. My suicidal thoughts.
He had hurt me so many times, that I just wanted it to end.
But I didn't.
If I hadn't..... I wouldn't have had such close relationships on DA, such as Megan and Cosmo.
That day made me realize that suicide is never the way out. Never.
Do I hate my Dad? No. I could never.
Do I wish he was here? No..... I want the Dad that was here before he got sick.
He hurt me in ways that I could never wish on my worst enemy.
My mom says that people don't cause other peoples anxiety.
She doesn't want me to go on medication for it.
He may be gone, but my anxiety's still there.
It's painful. I don't want to be in that low of a place again.
I hope I never will be.
But I have to stay alive.....
For Brooklyn. For Megan. For Lauryn. For Maggie.
If I could just stay alive, that would be enough.
My name is Hope. I go by Fandork. And I am a victim of emotional/mental abuse.
Thank you.

Griffin's big third quarter helps Pistons top Kings 106-90

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — After nearly two months, Blake Griffin finally looks comfortable playing with Detroit, and it’s showing up across the board.
He’s even got the Pistons winning on the road again, something that hadn’t happened since the five-time All-Star arrived in late January after being traded from the Los Angeles Clippers.
Griffin had 26 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, and Detroit pulled away in the third quarter to beat the Sacramento Kings 106-90 on Monday night.
“I’m much more settled in now,” said Griffin, who has scored 20 or more points in 12 of his 21 games with the Pistons. “The team and the organization has been phenomenal in making me feel as at home as possible. It’s happening. It’s just a slow process for me.”
Ish Smith had 18 points, Reggie Bullock added 17 and Anthony Tolliver scored 12 points behind three 3-pointers — one of three Pistons with a trio of 3s. Andre Drummond had just four points but pulled down 16 rebounds to help Detroit end its three-game losing streak.
The Pistons won on the road for only the 10th time this season and the first time since Jan. 10 — nearly three weeks before acquiring Griffin.
“He’s just a really, really good player,” Detroit coach Stan Van Gundy said. “Whatever problems we have have not been because of him at all. His attitude has been great, his play has been great. When we get healthy and get the right people around him, it’s going to be a good team.”
On a night when the Kings’ Vince Carter had seven points to move past Patrick Ewing into 22nd place on the NBA’s career scoring list, Griffin led Detroit to the lopsided win with another in a string of big games this month.
Griffin scored on a spinning layup, a 3-pointer and a drive from the top of the key to spark a 13-4 run in the third quarter. He later drove around a pair of defenders for a two-handed dunk then added two free throws to put Detroit up 70-61.
It’s the seventh time in the last 10 games that Griffin has scored 24 points or more.
“I just tried to attack them on certain spots,” Griffin said. “I forced certain shots. Our offense was just pretty good.”
Bullock made a pair of 3s in the fourth quarter to extend the Pistons lead to 98-76.
Willie Cauley-Stein scored 20 points for the Kings. De’Aaron Fox added 16 points and four assists while Justin Jackson had 15 points.
“We were a step slow tonight,” Sacramento coach Dave Joerger said. “We talked about it this morning that it had a high probability of being a letdown game but it was a tough game for us. It’s that type of game we (have to) let roll off of us.”
Carter, the 41-year-old former dunk champion, had a thunderous one-handed jam to spark a 9-2 run early in the second quarter then added a 12-foot fadeaway later to put the Kings up 35-33. Carter later made a 3-pointer in the third quarter to pass Ewing.
“On one where we didn’t rotate properly,” Van Gundy said with a grin. “Vince can give us credit for that and Pat’s probably (ticked) at me right now.”
TIP-INS
Pistons: Detroit won in Sacramento for the first time since Dec. 13, 2014. . Reggie Jackson continues to make steady progress and could resume playing this week after missing more than two months with a severely sprained right ankle.
Kings: Sacramento missed eight of its first nine shots but still shot 40 percent in the first quarter. … Bogdan Bogdanovic (sore left hamstring) did not play for the first time since missing the first three games of the season because of a sore ankle.
FRANCHISE LOW
The Kings made only four free throws, tying their franchise record for fewest in one game.
QUOTABLE
“Vince’s career has been amazing. He’s slowed down a little bit but he’s still playing at a pretty damn high level for a guy that’s been in the league this long. He’s not jumping over buildings now. He’s just playing the game on intelligence, toughness and everything else. One of my favorites.” – Van Gundy, who coached Carter for two seasons in Orlando.
UP NEXT
Pistons: Play at Phoenix on Tuesday.
Kings: Host Atlanta on Thursday.

Your Friday Morning Roundup
Flyers fans two weeks ago: Fire Hakstol, fire Hextall this team is a dumpster fire, trade everyone!
Flyers fans now: You guys, this team is actually good!
Two extremes, but you can say the Flyers have been very streaky as of late. The orange and black earned their fifth straight win by defeating the Buffalo Sabres 2-1 last night at the Wells Fargo Center. Travis Sanheim scored his first goal in his NHL career, while Valtteri Filppula scored the game-winner. Things were pretty tame after a wild opening four minutes, which saw Buffalo’s Ryan O’Reilly and Sanheim score the first two goals of the game. Brian Elliott stopped 19 of 20 total shots on the night.
The bigger question regarding the team is whether or not they can hold this level of play and keep it up for the remaining four months of the season. They got half their games back from their 10-game losing streak, but are still out of playoff contention. They don’t need to win out the rest of the season obviously, but sticking in the thick of things come February would be a big boost for the team and the fans.
The team hosts the Dallas Stars on Saturday night as they hope to make it a six-game winning streak.
The Roundup:
The Eagles continue to get ready for their first game without Carson Wentz. There were some injuries worth noting:
#Eagles Thursday Injury Report DNP: WR Jeffery (illness), DE Means (illness) Limited: G Wisniewski (ankle) Full: DE Barnett (groin), TE Celek (not injury related), TE Ertz (concussion), S McLeod (quadricep), LB Walker (neck)
— Philadelphia Eagles (@Eagles) December 14, 2017
Jason Kelce also got hurt, but for a little bit. He got cleated in the leg, but he also killed a recycling bin:
Here's the video of the incident…
Kelce destroys a recycling bin with a thunderous kick. http://pic.twitter.com/h1MABX4wuA
— NBC Sports Philadelphia (@NBCSPhilly) December 14, 2017
RIP in peace that recycling bin. Here’s what happened from his point of view.
“What happened is I’m an idiot. You’d think at 30 years old I’d be able to control myself a little bit better than that. I got cleated in a drill and I had an ankle sprain a couple weeks ago. The best way I can equate it anybody out there who’s done yard work, and you hit your thumb with a hammer and you throw the hammer halfway across the yard because of that. That’s about as close as I can get to it.
“Nothing serious. I got cleated in one of the drills and it was just a stupid reaction. Very minimal damage long-term, but it hurts like a b**** in the moment.”
As much as you sometimes don’t like Carson Wentz putting it all on the line, neither does Jay Ajayi.
As for Wentz’s replacement, Nick Foles will need to develop immediate chemistry with his pass catchers, even though some might be familiar to him. He also believes he’s better off handling adversity now:
“You just sort of see the game a little more clearly,” Foles said this week, when asked how he is different from the QB who trudged off the field in Houston. He said that perspective is the product of age and experience – he has doubled his time in the NFL, if not his number of actual snaps, since then.
“Even stepping into the game like [in Los Angeles], in the fourth quarter, you’re on the road, and it’s a big game. You really just go back to your training, back to your experiences in life, you know how to sort of live in that moment, to execute the plays to help your team win,” he said.
“Since that moment in Houston where I fractured my collarbone I’ve experienced a lot more experiences in the NFL than I had up to that point. A lot of them great, some of them not so great. But they all go together, they create this moment in time.”
Another player who’s confident in his new role: Nate Sudfeld, the team’s new backup quarterback.
No matter who’s behind center or how many players get injured, right guard Brandon Brooks says the team will do whatever it takes to get the job done.
Additionally, the Birds brought back a familiar face to the practice squad in wide receiver Bryce Treggs.
Thanks to a leak in NBA 2K18 and Conrad Burry, we saw what the Sixers’ “City Edition” uniforms will look like:
A pleasant sight to see at practice on Thursday: Robert Covington. He celebrated his 27th birthday and said he’ll play tonight against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
ESPN will also dedicate the entire day for Sixers coverage.
Joel Embiid explains his latest Instagram post on Karl-Anthony Towns, which solidified himself as a national treasure.
Finally, welcome the 76ers Gaming Club to our city. Absolutely pumped! eSports baby!
Bob takes us into the Manny Machado rumors, which might not go much farther for the Phillies. Here’s why:
Phillies believe their offer for Machado is not strong enough to make a trade happen. #Orioles want Sixto Sanchez.
— Dan Clark (@DanClarkSports) December 14, 2017
Meanwhile, the team announced the hiring of Jose Flores as their first base coach and infield/baserunning instructor. They also lost outfielder Carlos Tocci in the Rule 5 draft to the Texas Rangers.
Pat Neshek is here for the jokes:
Thanks @rhyshoskins for giving #17 back…I'll sign up a dozen balls for ya and get them out to you in the next week or so
— Pat Neshek (@PatNeshek) December 15, 2017
Alright that went on long enough…did you really think I would do this? Enjoy #17 Rhys! I'll go find another random #

Former writer Kevin Cooney has a new job title: Rosemont College Sports Information Director:
So, this will be in a few threads… bear with me. Today, I accepted a job at Rosemont College to be their new Sports Information Director. I’m thrilled that I could join the entire staff – including @CoachBarney. They made me feel right at home.
— Kevin Cooney (@KevinCooney) December 15, 2017
Best of luck to Kevin.
In other sports news, the Denver Broncos beat the Indianapolis Colts 25-13. But the talk isn’t about the outcome of the game. It’s about the injury to Colts tight end Brandon Williams. Williams has a pre-existing condition called spinal stenosis, which made him medically ineligible to play while at Oregon.
The Boston Globe detailed problems for women at ESPN and also named John Buccigross and Matthew Berry in the story.
As for ESPN, what does Walt Disney acquiring 21st Century Fox mean for sports fans?
Giants cornerback Eli Apple was fined for tweeting on the sideline during Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys. He wants to play this week against the Eagles.

Julien Baker on Faith, Touring, New LP 'Turn Out the Lights'
New Post has been published on http://gossip.network/julien-baker-on-faith-touring-new-lp-turn-out-the-lights/
Julien Baker on Faith, Touring, New LP 'Turn Out the Lights'
Julien Baker is a geek, and she doesn’t care what anyone has to say about it. “I’m a big Tolkien nerd,” she says with a laugh on the phone with Rolling Stone, a month after her three-week tour of Australia and New Zealand. “We had to go to Hobbiton,” she says, “the Lord of the Rings set. Because I’m a giant dork.”
Baker compares herself to Frodo Baggins’ character in Lord of the Rings, “in a constant state of transit.” The 22-year-old Memphis native was studying audio engineering at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro when she self-released her 2015 debut, Sprained Ankle, on Bandcamp. The subsequent wave of acclaim led Baker to put her schooling on hold, pack her bags and hit the road in support of major acts such as Paramore, the Decemberists and her Matador labelmates Belle and Sebastian. (On October 10th, she plays a high-profile gig at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, opening for Jason Isbell.)
A close examination of Baker’s interior life as a queer Christian woman, Sprained Ankle also took on her personal struggles with faith, anxiety and substance abuse. She expands further outward on her upcoming album, Turn Out the Lights, out October 27th, a series of softly spun meditations on conflicts between her and her loved ones. Strings and organs mingle with her cyclic flutters of guitar, strengthening the impact of Baker’s redemption songs.
“The record’s less just about a single person’s journey through feeling or coping with mental health,” she says, “and more about how, [in spite] of those afflictions or challenges that every person encounters … trying to advertise the capacity for empathy.”
The first single, “Appointments,” trails a relationship running on the fumes of a healthier time; in the video, Baker tries to go about a regular day in town, while dancers circle around her like specters. “Maybe it’s all gonna turn out all right,” Baker reflects, “and I know that it’s not, but I have to believe that it is.”
youtube
“Why is mental health stigmatized in our society?” she asks in reference to the song. “How awful and crushing of a thing is it that one of the most destructive issues a person can have is something that’s so mysterious and imperceptible. You can’t just Vulcan mind-meld yourself to them and feel their feelings. You can only come in as a guest. I could say I’m sorry, or I could say I understand, but I may not, and I may not ever. All I can say is I support them.”
The new album was recorded in Ardent Studios in Baker’s hometown of Memphis – currently managed by Jody Stephens of Big Star fame. Baker met Stephens while recording Turn Out the Lights: “He popped his head into the studio and was like, ‘Can I come in here and listen to a few things?'” They wound up having a lengthy conversation. “He said, ‘Everywhere else it seems like people are trying to kick each other off of the ladder, and in Memphis, everyone is just on their own ladder.’ And I was like, wow, that’s so brilliant, and true!”
Now residing in Nashville, Baker lovingly refers to the relationship between Nashville and Memphis as a friendly sibling rivalry. “I am a die-hard Memphis representative,” says Baker. “Grit ‘n’ grind – I love my city! There’s so many rich, cultural, musical aspects of Memphis. We don’t get all the commercial A-circuit tours that Nashville gets, but we got the genius of Stax Records, we got Ardent, we got rock & roll. And there’s such a vibrant contemporary scene here too. I have a support system in both cities, but in Nashville, it’s kind of like a fishing net, and in Memphis, it’s like chain mail. I want to be the chain mail.”
Many of her collaborators on the album are childhood friends and artists she knew from her old stomping grounds at Memphis’ Smith7 Records, an all-ages space where in her younger years she first flaunted a rainbow-colored mohawk and performed in an emo band called Forrister. At the time she spoke to RS, she says the last time she had been back home was to shoot an upcoming music video on a friend’s farm. “I’d come back from tour and been in Tennessee for all of one hour,” she laughs, “And we’d already managed to hop up on a tractor. Nothing had changed.”
“When I get to perform … that’s like church to me,” Baker says. Scott Dudelson/WireImage.com
She says the album couldn’t have come together without her friends’ support. “I believe so much in my friends’ art, all the time,” she says. “So much of the record is collaborative with my friends – instead of consolidating all of the control and creative power in my individual vision, you need to delegate that out.” She cites the Episcopal Church’s Book of Common Prayer: “All the prayers are written as ‘we,’ because it’s not just about you,” she says. “Everybody is seeking some peace. And so, you don’t just say, ‘Lord help me.’ You say, ‘us.’ And ‘we.'”
With a tour schedule like Baker’s, prayer is mostly a solitary exercise, although she tries to attend church wherever she can, regardless of denomination – whether it’s an LGBTQ-friendly Unitarian Universalist congregation in San Diego, or a French service in Brussels. “People say, ‘Church is not a building, church is people,'” she says. “I would never impose my beliefs on someone else, especially an audience. But when I get to perform, and I get to share for a moment, all these strangers together singing the same thing? … That’s like church to me.”
Baker sometimes pleases crowds with covers of Jawbreaker, Elliott Smith and Death Cab For Cutie songs; yet she felt the divinity of music most potently on election night 2016, while on tour with Kevin Devine and Petal, when she sang a hymn. “We were in Houston, Texas,” she says. “Kiley [Lotz] from Petal is kind of in the same boat as me, negotiating her identity and [being] a person of faith in a non-traditional faith community. We were sitting backstage and watching the election results roll in, and we were just … really bummed out. So I thought, ‘Let’s sing a song together, just something to celebrate or comfort each other.’ I was like, ‘Hey, Kiley, do you know, “It as Well”?'”
“I [considered whether] some people were coming to escape the ever-present conservative Christian rhetoric that they’re surrounded by,” she continues. “I have a had a remarkably privileged experience with being queer. I have friends who have been excommunicated from their church, who have been ostracized by their family. … What if I had ruined the safe space for them by singing a song from church? I was fearful, but I got out there [with Kiley] and said, ‘The first line is “When peace like a river attendeth my way.”‘”
By the time the chorus kicked in, Baker says, “Kiley and I couldn’t hear ourselves in the monitor over all the people singing. And to re-contextualize that song, which is about trying to find peace and happiness no matter what your circumstance … both of us just started bawling. That moment was more worship to me than some sermons I’ve been to – when human beings just all came together to comfort each other out of love and support, and not knowing what the future holds.”
