IM FUCKING WHEEZING

i love my dog, she’s great- mild mannered most of the time, but she is a boxer husky so she’s got energy— but rn it is bedtime. so i’m sleeping, thinking she’s also fine n dandy for the night, but no, apparently not.

and, for context, Tophee is mm two n a half ish feet tall, she’s medium sized, not as big as was expected with her parentage but it makes her look absolutely adorable. she’s also more afraid of dogs smaller than her, rather than bigger dogs.

i’m also staying in my grandparents’ house, and my nana has these large, low windows in her house bc she loves to see the garden my tūtū cares for. the room tophee n i are staying in has the biggest one, the sill is abt three feet up.

also for context, the yard has been known to have opossums n cats. tophee has also had instances of killing both opossums n cats in my tūtū’s yard.

so, to my startled shock, i abruptly am woken to tophee full on breaking—not just the window screen, which she’s done before—but the fucken window frame.

because apparently, she spotted an opossum, and just went straight into Kill Mode. there was no preamble, no cursory barking and growling, just— broken window.

and yeah, imma have to fix it bc she very well can’t, but i found it fucking hilarious. my brother had to scold her bc i was too busy laughing my ass off once i wiped her face n paws.

mostly, it’s funny bc earlier that day, i had the hilarious privilege of my very adorable, mostly mild mannered baby just straight up stand on top of the hedges. which was even funnier bc the initial purpose of those hedges when my dad was a kid, was to stop their labs from hopping the fence and running off (they’re shorter now that my tūtū hasn’t had a dog since his kids lived with him)

but tophee had seen a cat across the street n was barking, so i went outside to make sure she stayed in the yard, only to panic/laugh run bc she was. toph was just. standing there. still n silent n tall and looking fucking ridiculous but also at risk for chasing the cat (thank goodness she leapt down inside the yard bc i soo cannot keep up with her cat-chasing mode, and i was too busy cackling)
