Do you use references for your art (both sfw and nsfw) or are you someone who draws from your imagination most of the time?
its pretty 50/50! i tend not to draw from refs as much for comms/commercial work, whereas w personal art i use refs to Have A Good Time and help me study/improve at the same time 🤔 theres less creative brainpower needed sometimes lol...
some examples 👇
personal work = combining elements of refs to better suit the blorbos
work work - initial pose from imagination, then figuring out the details using articulated dolls
when it comes to nsfw/erotica i absolutely use refs LOL theres a lot of anatomy involved.. and tbh its a great way to study the body! when im able to draw smut w.o ref thats when ill know ive made it as an artist 🫡

i know that vimes and weatherwax is like the #1 missed opportunity of discworld mains who never got to interact but tbh i think it would be boring. i think they would genuinely have nothing to say to each other. i think that granny thinks no policeman has any business speaking to her anyway and vimes would take one look at the sheer black and whiteness of her and go ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Reading the POTO novel for the first time and for as much as people claim “ALW romanticized the Phantom” I would argue he “romanticized” Raoul. Raoul in the book is annoying af and has a really weird superiority-inferiority complex. Just your average 21 yr old scrawny young man. Not at all like the Prince Charming he’s made out to be in the musical.
He’s out here slut shaming Christine LIKE WHAT??????
Honestly, The Phantom AND Raoul got a glow up in the musical, they should be thankful.

Hi Mera, I was wondering if you like any musicals? I'm personally a sucker for anything Phantom of the Opera.
Hi hiiii!!! I love musicals!! Phantom of the Opera is one of my favorites omg,,, shoutout to one of the first yandere characters I ever encountered within academic study. 🙏 it changed the circuitry in my brain when I was studying it in my theatre class all those years ago. <3 if an Opera Ghost fell in love with me and then took me under his tutelage and then threatened said Opera House to ensure I'd get lead roles always....... I have no choice but to fall in love. orz the soundtrack is also amazing!!!!!!! I wish I could relive how I felt when I first heard it. >w< a life-changing experience.
I remember someone once sent me an ask about a Phantom of the Opera au with Rollo and AAAAAAAAAA. OTL I need to find it again so that I can write it because that's such a delicious thought. Admittedly, any thought involving Rollo is guaranteed to be yummy because it's Rollo hehe. (´▽`ʃƪ)♡ of course a Phantom!Azul is also very good because he canonically has a beautiful singing voice and knows how to sing. The same for Vil as well!!!!
As for other musicals, I enjoy Moulin Rouge ("El Tango de Roxanne" will forever remind me of Rollo.), The Sound of Music, Hamilton, and Mamma Mia! to name a few. Little Shop of Horrors is also so good! :D
