I never done this before but those two chapter are just *blow mind* and I need to put my thought down just because
Cried my eyes out with those panels. The more we go on, the sadder the baground stories are and Kuma's??? Oda, I love you but I am begging STOP MAKING ME CRY FOR BACKGROUND CHARATERS which aren't that background at the end of the day
I hate him, with every new chapter I read I hate him more than last time. And I mean, is normal since his character is a douche and everything
I just liked the drawing, not much to say about this panel. I thought it looked cool and screenshot it. Also with the one following this one I don't have the screenshot it just proofs that the 5 Elders don't give a damn about people.

This is just funny because EVERYONE is going crazy over the Marine, Kizaru AND one of the 5 Elders wanting to caputre them and obliterate the Island and then she is chilling like is nothing. I love her though too much she can chill and let the other deals with it.

i’m plotting out how the egghead arc is gonna go in my emotionless sanji au, and that + recent manga chapters have got me thinking about sanji and kuma potentially being parallels (or foils? idfk)
sanji, who is slowly having his emotions stripped away from him, for no reason other than the fact that terrible things were done to him before birth by an uncaring father.
and then there’s kuma. everything kuma did, every act of kindness disguised as cruelty, every choice he made—it was all for a hope in a better future, for a liberation he would not get to see. for a child he loved and was loved by.
both of them, meant to be weapons. neither of them wanted to be.
but at the end of the day, kuma is a father who sacrificed his humanity to save his daughter.
and sanji…well, sanji is a son whose humanity was sacrificed to serve his father.

Quick summary for the chap! Confirmed by redon btw
The chapter's name is "thanks dad" 😭
Kuma's punch lands on saturn, YIPPEE !
Everybody is surprised and shocked for seeing Kuma, especially when he's in a bad condition AND rocking the shit out of the evil spider cow science grandpa
The punch was so goddamn strong that Saturn ends up losing a limb (like DAAAAMN Kuma you've been lifting weights?"
Kizaru gets up and is finally able to move, the strawhats and everybody else get their mobility back. But Kizaru gets up and starts attacking the crew and they fight back against him
The Marines, now free from Saturn's grasp, prepare to absolutely DESTROY egghead and wipe it off the goddamn map
Despite Kuma's super duper destructive punch, Saturn gets back up as if nothing happened, regrows a limb and recovers his health (holy fucking retcon ODA STOP DOING THIS!!!)

Salute recruits and soldiers to this frosty Friday ⚓🌊⚓🌊⚓🌊⚓🌊⚓🌊⚓🌊⚓
So chapter 1104 is here and we are being kept at suspense again. It becomes in my opinion more and more apparent that Kizaru is most likely to defend the government. And he seems to get ready to show off what he is truly capable off.
There is still speculation that Kizaru joins the strawhats on the web, but no the fandom needs to learn not everyone joins the strawhats. Don't get me wrong I WANT the Marines to ditch the world government, but I want them to stay Marines.
Also i hate Dr Vegapunk for gaslighting Kizaru in the last panel. Fact is if Vegapunk values his relationship with Kizaru and knowing how dangerous and forbidden researching the void century is, Vegapunk wouldn't have done it. Why bring your ally/acquaintance/friend that works for the opposition in a compromising position. It goes to show being an intellectual genius does NOT make you a wise man. (Opinion/rant)

Okay, (1) best non-Luffy punch in the series
(2) that bit about Kuma being there (and motivated) out of sheer emotions (love) rather than any logical and conscious reason is a thematic idea I want to chew on. I'm not sure how, exactly. But that there can be emotional resonance that exceeds even the confines of a being's own self-awareness.
Something, something "we are the ones who weave history" "people only die when they are forgotten" "things will never die." I guess, in so many words, it may be something like: immaterial emotions that are strong enough have their weight in the world (and history) too.
