anyone else find it a little fucked up that gifsets/edits only get more than 1k notes if they’re concerning a brand new piece of media (film/tv episode/trailer) and if the edit is posted within like 10 minutes of said media releasing to the public??? and if it’s not, it’s basically ignored and dies or takes days/weeks to amass notes??? so most people will only deem creators “worthy” of a like/reblog to spread an edit around if it’s only relevant to whatever brand new thing has released, and if you’re even like a week late that’s not good enough and fuck you <3

I like to think they’re having a cars 2 moment somewhere, involved in some crazy mafia spy type business and having a Baja blast

if the rumors are true (the rumors being facts that people know about curt’s fate because he was a real life human being who lived and uh. died.) and curt’s death is happening this early on in the series, then literally the only thing that will get me to keep watching is if episode three ends with bucky realizing that curt is dead and staring off into space with the same empty longing that he stared at curt with when he rode away in the back of that truck, which is the same stare that he gave him when he first saw him alive after the mission, and will now be the stare that he gives whenever curt’s name is mentioned and he’s reminded that he’s lost the only person in the world that could get him to feel something.

and then, and this is important, i need episode four in its entirety to be a flashback of their time at bootcamp in walla walla. for curt’s death to matter, i need to see whatever earned curt such a tender spot in bucky’s heart. i need to see their shenanigans and get to know their inside jokes and i need to see all of their time spent together (how many other times have they snuck off on their own? when was the first?)

if they want to give curt’s death the weight that it deserves, i need to watch bucky fall in love with him. and then i need to see it brought to the present. show us the kiss they shared after curt threw that punch and knocked feeling back into bucky. show us the lighthearted drunken kisses that bucky left on curt’s cheek after giving those british bastards what they asked for. show us the tiny moment of intimacy that they got to share before this final mission. show us a last kiss that they don’t know is their last kiss, softened by curt joking, always joking, that he’ll be bucky’s guardian angel when this is all over.

and then, and only then, we can return to bucky in the present, learning what it means for it to be all over.

as usual, the problem is shitty corporations mining any and every form of enjoyment and entertainment for profit and manipulating viewer preferences in service of that goal until they break them, then continuing to beat that poor, rotted horse like a gory pinata

I'd been feeling kind of silly for feeling too nervous to start ofmd s2 because I've been waiting 16 months for this, I watched the show seven times in the first month and a half after it aired, I got a huge tattoo of it, I cosplayed it, and wrote my first fanfiction in a decade for it, and only realized when contemplating that a minute ago that perhaps all of that is exactly WHY I feel overwhelmed, not in spite of it

god i wish streaming services would bring back the weekly episode release schedule for tv shows. miss her every damn day xx

Views on the idol?

eee.... a fun tawdry ride with a touch of depravity?? i'm really interested in the main character because she's framed as this sort of femme fatale-esque mysterious figure who always seems to be playing a part (a hint we get in the opening sequence when she's shifting from one emotion to another right on cue. initial scenes are very important!) and last episode it felt like we've finally had a peek behind her mask so i'm excited for the finale

heading off to bed soon, so i guess it’s time to filter mary and george and a whole bunch of other tags, just because they decided it’d be a good idea to release all seven episodes at once in some countries. i hate it here.

I JUST WANTED TO THANK YOU FOR GETTING ME BACK INTO TMNT. FOR SOME DUMB REASON I IGNORED THE 2018 ROTTMNT WHEN IT CAME OUT UNTIL 4 YEARS LATER ON NETFLIX. But really, this was a childhood obbession that meant a lot to me. It felt so good to see some of my old fav characters with even wittier writing and with more personality than ever. Like, I remember LIKING Donitello, but every line this man says is GOLD. THANK YOU!!!

(Also I am holding Nickelodeon gunpoint. They will not continue making rottmnt but will keep these sitcom shows with most annoying teenagers on the planet. Care to join me? /j)

The only thing I’ll say about hazbin hotel is that the pacing from what I’ve seen is absolutely horrendous. It never takes a moment to slow down, it’s trying to throw everything at you at once and expecting you to follow along.

Why is the audience supposed to care about these characters when we’re barely given time to know them? If you were just a random person tuning in without any prior knowledge of the pilot or anything, you’d be lost.

saving the first dunmeshi episode out today for me to watch after work as a reward for a long shift

thinking about television with weekly release + seasons yearly that elevates the experience of watching, so that these shows that are considered the greatest of all time kind of lose some of their power when fully finished and people can marathon them in days or weeks instead of years. the anticipation and excitement was part of the experience and can never be recreated as it was... so sad...
