i have an ask in my inbox about veritas and his opinion for nous not looking to him and i will answer it with time maybe after the events of 2.1 but today i was playing hsr and i stumbled on all of ratio's notes and the second note talks about how he discourages ambitious pursuits by naive researchers since they're unaware of the danger the truth possesses. this alongside his text sign off being " there's no rush " got me thinking that despite his character story showing his derisive reaction to unattaining a position in the genius society that he's willing to wait and has the patience. it could also be an indication that he may have suffered the fate he wishes the mediocre scientists can avoid but that might be too much of a stretch. he is at the end of the day still human and with human comes feelings you cannot deny. which is why veritas is undoubtedly affected by the unrecognition but he still pursues. whether this is hypocritical or that he does it within the boundaries of taking his time and doing it in a manner with the least repercussions is up to interpretation.
