Sharp claws unsheathed while a hand tightly gripped a small knife, however once she reached her door her nose flared for a moment. ...!! She knew that scent!
She swiftly set the knife aside as she opened the door, eyes widening slightly and her fur bristled for a moment. Mordecai. Without pause, she ushered him insides once she heard his voice, took a quick peek outside, and then shut and locked the door.
"What happened? Come on, sit down. I can get you some tea brewing." She ushered him over to the living room, her paws not making a single sound with her steps. Her shoes were by the door. Despite her fur bristling, her tail looked... smooth as usual.

my mood's already been down the drain but boy oh boy this is 2023 and we still use anon to make other rpers feel bad about being open about their views/life/concerns? it's astonishing to me how the likes and responses have been brought up. like yeah if a person puts so much into their content, obviously they'll have strong responses. but it doesn't mean that they're not allowed to be sad or upset or concerned. everyone here is a person. 90% of us writers here use tumblr to escape reality and do silly goofy things we like. just sit back and relax.
just because someone is 'popular' doesn't mean you should use that against them. i fucking hate that shit because it was used against me before and a person who I trusted, they made me hate myself for feeling bad over how nervous I was about my content, my approach to people, my personal boundaries, and more. we all have concerns and lives that we do not show to people on the internet. and none of us all anyone our real life to a T, like fuck no. privacy should be treasured more here.
if you lash out as a person for them setting their boundaries? you're fucked up. ignoring anyone's boundaries means that you are denying them their damn humanity and treat that person as your entertainment and that's fucked up. get a look at yourself in the mirror and slap yourself because if YOU would be lashed out for setting your own boundaries, you'd be pissed and upset or heartbroken. none of you on the internet is entitled to saying anything against someone setting boundaries.
it's also fucked on another level because in this case we've had a talk about 'popularity'. ok, let's take that. the more people you interact with, the more important it to SET BOUNDARIES and to let everyone know what you're ok with and what you're not ok with. so many of us here as writers are being pretty transparent about our health, our life, and our struggles. once again: ALMOST EVERYONE HERE USES TUMBLR TO WRITE/VIBE AND BE AWAY FROM REALITY, we're here just enjoying our silly goofy moments and we meet too many strangers who better know where the fuck our lines are. so whenever someone sets boundaries, you fucking listen and not hide your head in the sand like a fucking ostrich. you listen and take that into consideration. it doesn't matter how 'popular' someone is. i honestly dislike these tags of popularity, yeah before when I was younger it was cool but now it's just tiring. this isn't high school and we ain't playing mean girls with local regina george to create a unified burn book. fuck that.
anyways, i'm rambling but like don't be a jealous bitch. we all feel envy at some point of being here, we compare ourselves to each other which causes us anxiety but keep that to yourself. so many of us here are literally here just to vibe. if you start getting bad thoughts/ideas/you start to feel bad - unfollow/block and forget. for sending out passive aggressive or aggressive anons just makes you, the sender, look both entitled, whiny and pathetic.
anyways, cheers to those who are honest about their boundaries, honest about their struggles, and try their damn hardest despite assholes sending passive aggressive or aggressive messages. you're doing great. anxiety and depression may tell you otherwise, but know that I stan you and you're amazing. i respect you and i cheer for you.

My writing pace fluctuates. I'm chronically ill and currently having to work retail on and off until my writing career builds up enough support to be my primary source of income. Working retail massively drains my energy, so until I make enough to support myself on patreon, speed of chapter releases won't be especially fast. I do try to post something, whether original or fanfiction early-access, on patreon at least once a week. If you like my writing and can afford to become a patron, please consider it. Every new patron helps me get closer to being able to write more & higher-quality work!
I don't read fanfiction of my original works until serialization is complete. This is primarily for legal reasons, to protect myself, but also to keep from being swayed during serialization by the prevalent ideas in the fandom. I also won't comment on fanfiction of my original works irt characterization or canonicity once serialization is finished. I'm personally more interested in seeing what the fandom comes up with and don't care to correct them. But if you make fanart please send it to me to see! I love that so much!
I believe that the current attitudes around copyright and "intellectual property" are BS. Art is meant to be shared and to grow in a community, and strict IP regulations prevent that growth. Part of the reason why I am so set on self-publishing via patreon instead of going with traditional publishing is so that I can create my own Transformative and Derivative Works policy (currently, the policy is a WIP but I will link it here once it is finished). As a long-time fanwork creator, I fully understand the amount of work and effort and care that goes into creating fanworks, and wish to take a different approach to the legitimacy of such works, allowing for a network of free creation rather than increasing restrictions with IP and trademarks, so I am working to draft a policy that will allow for free creation and expansion without compromising the integrity of the original work. If any independent creators wish to use some or all of my TDW policy, they are entirely free and encouraged to do so, as I would love to see a world where creators are not so constrained by strict copyright and IP culture, and where stories belong to both the listener and the teller as they have for thousands of years.

Normally I delete scam asks like this, but I want to take a moment to give everyone a heads up.
PSA: This scam is becoming more and more common on here, and it can be hard to tell them apart from people genuinely asking for help. But if you know what to look for, there are a ton of red flags here:
There are only a handful of posts on this blog. The oldest post was made only a day or two ago.
If you copy and paste the ask into a tumblr search, you’ll find other blogs sending the exact same ask word for word. Usually these blogs are also only a few days old, and have entirely different names and ages in the bios (that is, if they still exist. Many of the senders have already been deactivated).
The vet bill in the pinned post is addressed to a different name than the blog owner and the PayPal account. Sometimes the names are redacted entirely.
Lastly, asking to answer this privately is pretty fishy, especially if the goal is to reach a large audience. Perhaps a way to prevent people from picking up on the scam?
tl;dr - Please take a moment to make sure a donation ask/post is legit before boosting! This one may only be trying to take your money, but other scams can be even more malicious and steal your personal information as well.

i write for free. i’m not getting paid for my time and effort into posting these content. i am not obligated to write male reader, not everything on the internet is going to cater specifically to you. yes, male reader content aren’t as available as gender neutral / fem reader but what can i do really. if you’re so bitter abt it start a writing blog yourself, and i mean it in the best way possible. instead of being so angry and throwing pointless hate, try be the first to change and create the content you want to see.
writing is my hobby, it is self indulgent. i write what i want, what makes me happy, and if my free content doesn’t make you feel that way or isn’t to your liking, simply block me. it’s really that easy instead of going around ruining ppl’s time in this community. i’m truly trying my best to be as inclusive as i can by making most of my works gender neutral when possible.

From my experience you as a sender don't get a notification, but if they have notifications for you they get the message you have posted something, the notification tells you if it's a post, a reblog or an ask actually but that's all... sorry I can't be of more help

n'importe quoi - this is a phrase but i'm expanding. once a french teen i was tutoring in english asked me how you said this in english and i could not figure out the equivalent expression. it just occurred to me to google and google says "Bullshit" so it's for the best I didnt give that to the surly french teen lol.
aujourd'hui - its kind of wild looking for such a basic word. in elementary school we'd all have to chant the date together and i can still conjure like the beat we'd use which will not translate to text but would start with "aujourd'hui c'est lundi (for example)." and then mille-neuf-cent-quatre-vingt-dix-sept (to date myself)

Ricky glanced up at her in awe and fear. Truthfully, Maddox scared him more than anyone else, to view past time and know what lies ahead. Whereas he spends most of his time ignoring the days after summer, when they all have to go be 'normal' again, Maddox sees everything, all the time.
He remembers learning about seers in school, so quickly brushed over in favor of the more 'interesting' monsters.
Seers don't live long. At 18, Maddox already passed her expected midlife, and was quickly hurtling towards the record age of 27.
Knowing the answer, he asked, "why?", and glanced away, trying to give her some amount of privacy.
"every night, every day, even when I'm in wolf form, I see you. All of you, and all the ways things didn't go wrong, and all the ways they still might..... Did you know if Kourtney had worn her high-tops instead of her tennis shoes, her foot would have caught in a bramble and the fall from the little cliff would have broken her neck? The mirror Crash broke had silver in it that would have burned clean through EJ...."
Ricky hissed in sympathy, a touch of song to try and sooth her.

Hello all, It's been a while since my last post, so I figured I'd post a short update regarding new content.
In short I'll continue to update this blog when something of note happens in Style Savvy Trend setters, but it's still been pretty quiet/slow, and with FF7:Rebirth out soon, my progress will be slow.

Also, I'd like to take some time to respond to a few questions that were sent in.
For some reason, I can't see my question inbox, so I'll just be making a short reply based on what showed up in the email preview.
Since, I'm not sure if this person is comfortable with me sharing their name,
So we'll just call them 'sender', and I'll 'find and replace' it later if they're okay with me sharing it.
Anyways, 'sender' mentioned that they have a two-week wait before they can post comments. I did not know tumbler had a wait system like that. I'm still fairly new here.
From what I've seen 'like' and 'reblogs' are the most common forms of interactions, so comments are pretty rare, (Fairly different from other social media.)
I've actually been a bit hesitant to comment on others posts because of this. (don't want to rock the boat) But anyone is free to comment here, and I'm open to constructive criticism as well. So if you have an idea of how an outfit could look better (in the style I'm going for) feel free to let me know!

'Sender' Also mentioned various setups I could use to make playing ' MODEL Debut 3' easier. Holding up my phone to my pc screen was very uncomfortable, so their suggestion of using a phone tripod setup would have helped a lot, if I go back to the game, I'll give it a shot!

'Senders' Third message mentioned how they'd been enjoying reading through the content I'd been posting, including both the game commentary, and the sections that tied it into some of my related personal stories.
And that really meant a lot to me, I honestly considered just switching to 'Outfit of the day' style posts, as in a comment-lite platform like this, it was hard to see what from the content people enjoyed most.
This is why I started front-loading a lot of the outfit pics, After posting them, I'd add a line or two about what happened that day (in-game) as a quick summary, then I'd say "hmm, maybe I should explain a little more about thought process behind the outfit", followed by "ok, but wow, X was done way better (or worse) here compared to Fashion Forward", and next thing I knew hour and hour had passed, XD
As for the little personal stories and connections to my experiences with fashion, and why these games mean so much to me, that has its own story behind it, (buckle up!)

The short version is, a few years back I was looking for a way to try to practice being more social, and open about stuff.
Normally people would just post online to do that, but I'd been using the same online name since high school, so most the people I knew IRL new it, and it was used on all my social media/online games.
And as it was prime covid time, everyone I knew irl was at home on social media, so any post on my normal social media would likely actively promoted to the people, who I did not really want to see it.
So I figured a 'fresh slate' would be the best way to practice being more social, without having to worry about what people thought about me!
It sounds kinda crazy now, but I ended up making a new discord twitter, reddit and steam account, tumbler was honestly just an afterthought, as I hardly ever used my main tumblr.
So I played some online game, joined some discord groups, and followed and messaged people on twitter…
…and after the first year, I was borderline right back where I was before.
Still second guessing everything I post, leaving tons of replies in the drafts, and while I had 'mutuals', there were just other people I followed so I could get more of the content I already enjoyed, there was no real connection outside of a quick reply here or there.
I spent so much time thinking "oh I'm just not comfortable with these IRL people", that simply having a new 'pool' of people to interact with would fix all my social issues, and while I did feel a little more comfortable talking about a wider range of topics with these new people, I'd still feel held back in many of the same was as before.
Every action had to be fueled by multiple layers of second guessing.
"I like this art, I should tell them…well they probably already hear that all the time, it won't matter"
"I Also like the thing they're talking about, but they're WAY more interested, so I can't really add much to the conversation"
"I really like that outfit/artwork, but it is a tiny bit suggestive, so would that sound creepy coming from a guy?"
…and much more.
Addintally, when I often have trouble wording things in a natural sounding way, I'd have to worry about not just 'what' I said but "how I said it"
And with multiple questions behind each action, just like with my main account, I just stopped interacting.
And it really took a lot of positive exposure to situations for me to be able to see, sometimes the intent matters almost as much (or sometimes more) than wording.
I've already gone into details on the process here, and in my reddit post prior to posting on tumblr.
But in short, playing in the fantastic Final Fantasy XIV community, gave me a lot of great places to experience this.
You could get carried through a dungeon by a tank that only speaks in the 3rd person, or get great healing from a cat girl, who's every single message contains at least one cat-related pun.
How they presented that help, did not matter, it's the fact that they were willing to help. And you could also look however you wanted, Even if that meant you were protected by a 2.5' very angry munchkin of a tank, people would just roll with it.
Style Savvy was just as helpful, I may never understand modern fashion or trends, But if someone comes into my shop asking to look a specific way, I get to help them achieve their ideal image!
I got to explore a small section of the fashion world, without having to worry about "well, technically that's out of season" or "ooh, that was IN last year, but now it's OUT", or "Why am I dressing this person that way, what would they really want?"
I just got to have fun living in my own little fashion cubbyhole, a comfortable little cutout with only the parts I enjoy.
And Fashion Forward had such a big impact on me, I just really had to share it, so I made the above reddit post,
I kept playing and kept enjoying the game, and started sharing my thoughts here as well, as it's much better for images than Reddit.
And just like with playing the games, over time I started sharing more of my thoughts, and eventually explaining "why" I felt specific ways about some parts, it felt fairly uncomfortable at first, but I remember just telling myself, "It's still topical, and if they've gotten this far, they kinda know what there getting into",
My main concern was not making anyone uncomfortable, or upset
but still trying to be open, and I think I've managed to strike a fair balance.
As in general, I want this blog to be more about my adventure with fashion, rather than simply sharing screenshots, or just me venting.
And even if a majority of people are here for the screenshots, it still means a lot that others are interested in my content!

I still have a long ways to go when it comes to 'social improvements' , but I feel I've made a ton of progress in the last year or so.
These games have helped far more than my 'dramatic social media change', and now I'm getting some external support to manage as well!

It’s late at night. Most of the other hellizens have gone to bed, or at the very least retreated to their homes.
The voice that draws Alastor in is, oddly enough, coming from a singular television screen in one of Vox’s many displays littered throughout Pride. Behind its glass is what appears to be a woman - black and yellow, styled after the cartoons that were prominent during the Overlord’s living era - sitting on a rock on what appears to be a shoreline facing an ocean. A silhouette of a ship sinks in the background while she continues her performance.
Her eyes, formerly closed, open slowly, letting their large black pupils glance over to her solitary viewer.
All at once, the singing stops.
She straightens up.
Then stands up.
Her feet, still submerged ankle-deep in the water, move forward so she can get herself closer to the screen.
She stops, staring.
Then...she speaks.
“Hello.”
