Squinting his eyes, Shawn’s gaze glanced from Harper to the food she was making and then back to her. “I mean, I could, yeah. But that all depends on what you’re making,” he began to tease. “So, what is it exactly?” Was then continued as he began to head towards her. @ohdcrlin​

Harper looked down at the red sauce that was boiling in the pot. She spooned a bit of it out to cool it off. “It’s a raspberry lemon reduction for a filling for a pastry I’m working on,” the baker said. “I’m trying to change up the menu, and I wanted to experiment a bit with sweet and sour flavors.” She looked from the spoon of sauce to Shawn. “There is sugar in here too, so I’m hoping it’s not too acidic.” She herself thought it was pretty good, but she wanted a second opinion.

a normal person would climb in behind their crush, and hold them. especially if they were waking them in the middle of the night. not nazlı, no, she nudged her butt against davi and grabbed her arm to wrap it around her body. a contented sigh came out as she settled. naz was quick to give a ridiculous and transparent excuse. “ i think there’s a robber in my room. ”

Glancing over to Jamie, Luca chuckled lightly. “For the adventure,” he answered the question. “Why? You’re not going to chicken out on me now are you?” He then offered a question of his own. @ohdcrlin​

“The adventure?” Jamie said, looking around them. “And if we get lost?” He scrunched his face when Luca called his bluff on whether or not he’d chicken out. “I am a man of my word, and I said I’d join you on this hike. . . of course, when I said that I was under the impression we’d stay on the trail.” 

Ryan’s eyes widened at Bennett’s words. “Oh!” Their cheeks started to heat up as they felt a little embarrassed for making the assumption. “My bad, dude! Sorry, I didn’t know…” raising a hand to the back of their neck they rubbed it awkwardly. “Uh.. okay, then let’s head to a vegetarian place.” @ohdcrlin​

Bennett gave Ryan a reassuring smile. “Don’t worry about it,” she said with a shrug. “It’s one of the perks of being a vegan, I get to ruin other people’s meal plans left and right.” Then Ryan overcorrected and Bennett laughed. “We can still go to a burger place if you want, most places have a vegan option if you know how to look for it.” Then for good measure she added. “And I’m not the stereotypical judgy vegan who is going to shame you for eating animal products.” 

Scout’s gaze followed Kendra’s as she glanced out the window herself, watching as the rain continued to fall. Smiling, she then let out a small laugh while turning back to look at Kendra. “Who said we still can’t have a picnic?” Questioning as her head tilted to the side, eyebrows raising. “We can just move some things around and set up a blanket in the lounge room.” @ohdcrlin​

Kendra flipped the chicken that was sizzling in the pan, then smiled over at Scout. “How romantic,” she said. It was a cute idea, something that would probably turn into a decent story in the future. “I’m game if you are, but that does mean moving the couch, and I am a little afraid of the mess we’re going to find under there.” 

Jude continued to rapidly press the call button in frustration, hoping that by some miracle it would finally suddenly work, but it didn’t matter how many times she did it, she knew it was a lost cause. Letting out a breath, her eyes rolled, staying silent as she continued with the button for a little longer. Finally giving up, she turned away from it to lean against the wall, her lips pressing together as her eyes trailed over to Ryan. “Well, unless you plan on using the escape hatch,” she spoke as she pointed up towards the ceiling. “And climbing the elevator shaft, then looks like it, babe. Don’t get too excited now,” sarcasm clearly lingering in her tone.  @ohdcrlin​

Ryan sank to the floor and flicked the lighter on, watching the fire as Jude continued with the button. She wondered for a moment if the other woman might be claustrophobic, then she realized that she didn’t care. Her eyes moved back to the fire until Jude gave up and spoke to her. “Pretty sure people only actually do that kind of shit on TV.” She said, letting the fire go out. “And don’t call me babe.” 

“Mmm,” Shiloh hummed as she thought for a moment, her lips twitching up into a smile while allowing the question and what her answer was going to be linger in the space between them for a little longer. “No… I’m not,” was then let out slowly as her brows began to raise curiously. “Why?” @ohdcrlin​

The lingering hesitation was torture, but Zach could tell from the playful look on Shiloh’s face that she wasn’t about to give him bad news. His nerves calmed a bit as the question was thrown his way. It was time for him to play back. “I know a guy who might be interested in asking you out.”

“Uh, okay?” Tayla let out in slight confusion but then shrugged. “Let’s go then,” she then spoke not questioning the reason as to why Cory wanted to leave just yet. Grabbing her hand, Tayla led them out of the place. “Everything alright?” Was then finally questioned once they were outside and away from everyone else. @ohdcrlin​

Cory was grateful for the lack of questioning. She looked down at their hands, and followed Tayla out, doing her best to keep from making eye contact with anyone there. Once they were outside, Cory tightened her hold on the other woman’s hand to keep her from letting go. She kept them walking, trying to get more distance. “I have beaten the shit out of at least three guys in there, one of which has a police officer for a father,” she admitted as they walked.

avery might never stop waiting for the other shoe to drop. things between her and shiloh had never been simple. their shoddy beginnings made sure of it, people constantly reminded them of how they’d never work. yet here they were were; working. their similar statures made it easy to wrap her arms around shiloh’s waist and press her shin against her shoulder. they fit nicely. “you didn’t have to do this, i told you i was going to do the dishes when i woke up.” gratefully, she pressed a kiss to her girlfriend’s neck. “morning, baby.”
