I wondered for a moment what the mixture would taste like, if it'd be like kissing copper from the ohaguro's tongue, if I could content myself knowing the last person I kiss was a dead woman's ghost.

Can't sleep so fuck it, Hoshi time

Feel like writing how she feels about some of the book 2 monsters, mainly the ones from chapter 1 because apparently there's a lot of people around the bottom of the ocean.

-Enzukai

-The Worshiper/Senzai

The whole reason she has her own body in the first place so yeah, of course she likes them, that's her master and she will be forever grateful for what they did to her. She doesn't talk with them as much as she used to now that they're imprisoned and her role requires her to be away from the domain a lot of the time, but i do think she still visits them to report and when called, sometimes just because she feels like it too.

-Mio and Rin (Futakuchi-Onna)

Hoshi doesn't like him and neither does he like her ❤️

Senzai thinks that she is unworthy of Enzukai's kindness because she's not as devoted to them as he is, while Hoshi blames them for the mess Isamu is causing around the depths, since it's because of him he went there in the first place + she tends to be annoyed at insanely devoted cultist like Senzai.

-Nagisa (Nure-Onna)

The twins were the reason Hoshi found out that her body lacks much of a regenerative ability of her own, they ripped a chunk of her arm out before imediately spitting it out since it wasn't meat. She went back to Enzukai who explained that her body can't exactly regenerate on it's own, while they cured that injury specifically they advised her to always keep sewing supplies on her in case she ever needs to patch herself up.

After that lovely encounter Hoshiro hasn't gone after the twins in ages.

-Keneo

She was the one that found Hoshiro all cut up after her fight with Kusonoki and stayed by her side while she patched herself up, it was from that gesture that Hoshi realized she was one of them and not just someone who's there solely to work for Enzukai. So when that was over she started interacting with the other yokai more, Nagisa especially since she went on to hold her in high regard for helping her back then.

Which is nice since i assumed not a lot of people would go to spend time with a giant skane woman who's glare alone can turn someone into stone of she wishes, so hooray! She has someone to visit her now :]

i always picture Nagisa as pretty much non verbal due to her fangs getting in the way when it comes to speech but after so long has passed Hoshi can tell what she's thinking/wanting to say pretty well. Also this is a water snake and a plant thing? They definitely glad out swimming together a ton.

-Tofu-kozo

Being one of the few who will be outside during hours where the Kiiroibara cult is doing their stuff (Hoshiro doesn't participate in mist of these kindsnof cult rituals/reunions, she's really more of the organizer behind them than an active member in that regard?) i imagine they talk a little, they're not very close, but definitely like having some company when everyone else is either busy or hiding to save their lives. Maybe they go fishing together.

-Kodama (Betobeto-san)

Literally just a little guy! Him and Hoshi are hat buddies, she's kinda of a big sister to him? When she isn't thinking he's annoying for not leaving her alone. But overall she really likes the kid and enjoys telling him stories about herself when he asks.

-Shosai (Kurobozo)

Doesn't like him, he probably annoys her for fun tbh.

-Takane (Rokurokubi) and Tsukiya (Ohaguro-Bettari)

She doesn't like him, that's it.

Imagine these two being almost her friends/mutuals who she argues with or talks shit about from time to time, but it's ok because they talk shit about her as well! They do have normal and nice times together too tho, i imagine they will drink together and gossip earlier in the evening somewhat frequently.

-Hayakume, Tenome (Kyogi) and Kishin

Pretty much only talks to them when is cult business that Enzukai wants them to know as well, knows them mainly by word of mouth from other yoki town villagers.

Drawlloween - Day 14 - Yokai

Oh this prompt was so hard to do because I wanted to draw so many of them- but I ultimately decided on a yokai call ohaguro bettari- it was just so weird and creepy. I looked up references of the yokai but not so much of the wedding grab- I couldn’t figure out what time period it’s from and it is way to hard to hunt down sorry. Still- hella fun to draw!
