Note
it’s time for the dreaded s6 finale emotions
*strong regret in projecting onto ryan as much as i do because this episode h u r t s*
tyler being the one to invite ryan along?? g a e
“can’t send a man to his doom without getting drunk first” he’s trying so hard to fit in. poor bastard. and not calling the others out for excluding him? you can just tell he’s trying so hard not to ruin it for everyone, and nobody even gives a shit. and then of course he eventually snaps, he’s just spent over an hour having to watch everyone have a great time and forget about him, and then alex suddenly expects him to have bought mike a gift, and they fucking tell him to stop being so selfish and god those fucking assholes
god the conversation where may-li tells charlie about her grandad. it’s so beautifully acted, emily burnett sells the denial perfectly, it just,, ow
this episode is hard to watch when you have really strong empathy and project onto both ryan and charlie. h e l p
wow charlie really just delivered a baby in a car in the middle of the woods huh. i keep forgetting how absolutely badass that is
you know what absolutely kills me is the vague suicide subtext to ryan running away. take that goddamn phone conversation out of context and that’s what it is and that’s the worst part of all of this. and chloe saying that he’s left a note and that “i think he’s really gone for good”. o u c h
the fact that NOBODY EVEN NOTICES RYAN’S GONE EXCEPT MIKE AND CHLOE. even tyler doesn’t fucking notice. and then everyone cares more that mike’s gone to find him than that ryan even left in the first place. but we’re not meant to think about that because tracy’s here and everything’s absolutely fine right. this episode is murdering me can you tell
lily complaining about men on that facebook post. bit fruity of her, i must say *‘a day in the past’ flashbacks*
i havent watched my mum tracy beaker yet but i really need answers on how it fits timeline-wise into the tsotb/tbr/tdg canon
the fact that chloe isn’t even wrong when she says everyone would hate ryan even more if they found out mike isn’t there ‘because of him’ (read: because he quite literally had a breakdown and ran away and mike, being the only decent person in this goddamn show, went after him)
ah yes tracy, care worker of the year, really just said ‘your problems don’t fucking matter, forget that anything’s wrong because mike is getting married’. i love tracy but wow that is not the thing you say in this circumstance and the only reason it worked was because he felt bad about the cake and whatnot
this episode has such an all over the place tone. they really just went from mike freaking out to fiona figuring out he’s gone to a damn slo-mo shot of tracy and mike on a bike while ryan sprints behind them.
oh my god i forgot bailey was in this episode!! i hate him (affectionate)
this goddamn episode is so full of emotions i almost threw up oops. anyway it absolutely kills me that ryan looks like he’s about to cry pretty much the entire time. that poor kid. and then chloe really just pulls a tee and apparently loses all empathy towards him huh. love chloe but wow
i don’t think we get a chance to read what ryan wrote in that note? but i kinda wish we did. could’ve given some extra insight into everything
i have no idea if any of this is coherent, or how much of it is an actual analysis and how much is me projecting but oh well, this episode(s) is a fucking emotional trainwreck, what can you do
Oh god. I'm not prepared.
*valid regret to have, that sad queer kid with anger issues and insecurities experience hurts real bad*
Yes!! Once again proving that Tyler is the only one in the DG who actually cared about Ryan and wanted to be around him. He was pissed at Alex for not inviting Ryan like he was initally supposed to, and then took it upon himself to make Ryan feel included anyway.
That scene really pisses me off, because Alex really is going after him. You can tell, he won't let Ryan make a single joke without trying to be snarky about it, and then he purposefully tries to humiliate Ryan because he knows that Ryan couldn't possibly have known to bring a gift.
Oh yeah, I can barely ever rewatch the first part of the wedding for all of these reasons, but especially for Charlie finding out about her grandad. Emily really is way too good of an actor, that's why it's so painful.
I relate way too much to the strong empathy and projection, that shit hurts so bad.
Yeah!! Charlie did that!! Honestly, credit to her because I would not have been as calm as she was on a normal day if I had to deliver a baby in a car in the middle of nowhere, never mind after everything she had been through that day.
Okay, so you found a way to make Ryan's whole storyline of those episodes hurt way more than it already did. Thanks for that. But you are right, it does have that vague subtext to it. If this wasn't a children's show, I would've actually been worried that's where they were going to go with his storyline.
It does suck that nobody really noticed or cared that Ryan wasn't there. I wish even Tyler had shown a bit more concern, but I suppose they've only got enough time in an episode for so much.
That was definitely one of Lily's fruitiest moments, and that's saying a lot because of the aforementioned "a day in the past" flashbacks. Honestly, all of her scenes with Carmen and some with Tee are always fruity, there's nothing else to it.
Okay, so, I can kind of answer that one. My Mum Tracy Beaker definitely carries on from The Story of Tracy Beaker since it involves clips of it when Tracy sees Justine. However, it's only really connected to tbr/tdg canon through vague hints. Like, Tracy has a published book called "Who Cares?" and there's a mention of her being an ex careworker, and she wears a "T" necklace but it's slightly different from the one that she wears in the wedding episode. So, we know there are subtle references to TBR through these background details that are really just glossed over. There is a weird little moment when Tracy's daughter tells Justine that Tracy wrote a book, but Justine should already know that considering it was a big part of their reunion in Tracy Beaker Returns. At best, we can at least assume that everything that happened in TBR is canon for My Mum Tracy Beaker. I feel like, if we want to be able to make the timeline for the wedding add up with My Mum Tracy Beaker, we'd have to assume that Tracy hadn't already had Jess during the wedding. Since the wedding takes place around 2018, and Jess is 10, My Mum Tracy Beaker would have to be set in 2028 at the very least, and that would have to mean that Tracy had Jess the same year as the wedding. Either that, or she did already have Jess but just... never mentioned her because she was staying with Cam.
It really does kill me that Chloe was right about that, because you'd think at least some of them would have some sort of sympathy for Ryan. I wish Tyler did. Honestly, he had a genuine breakdown and ran away, and no one cared except Mike. Great family they are.
Yeah, that was not Tracy's best moment, but... that's just Tracy. She doesn't think, she acts on what she believes to be the best solution in that very moment. She was never exactly an aware winning care worker in all fairness skjdashd but Ryan definitely needed to hear something other than that.
I could barely be sad or stress during that episode specifically because of how chaotic it was, and ESPECIALLY because of that slow-mo that had no right being so damn hilarious.
SHFKDASJDLK "I hate him (affectionate)" well at least I'm glad the (affectionate) is there lmao. But I was screaming when I realized Baily (and Liam) were there, I was so happy!!
Oh yeah, Ryan looked so upset, he was absolutely blaming himself so badly. There was no need for Chloe to come in there "wish you'd run away for real" like fuck off. I love her. But fuck off.
I don't recall actually seeing the contents of the note now that you mention it.
Yeah, don't worry, I'm not sure most of my reply to it is coherent either. But those are episodes are some of the most fun to analyse because Drama and Angst.

Way Down
Based off this post here
@keitozwurld wanted Alex tucking Willie’s hair behind his ear, and @wlwcarries added some pretty amazing tags about it happening when the boys save Willie - So naturally I wrote it.
-------------
The band is so focused on the fact there back, that the curse is lifted and everything’s going to be okay. Unfinished business aside and everything else doesn’t matter anymore because they're together and they get to play music, and that’s really all that matters right?
Luke and Julie launch into writing beautiful songs together, composing all kinds of fun and creative things that just blow each and every single one before out of the park using all those emotions and feelings from their ordeal to channel beautiful music. Reggie has taken up communicating with Carlos; after all the boy knows there around now so there’s no point in pretending and honestly? Reggie really likes him. He spends a lot of his time with the other Molina sibling working on who knows what-conspiracy theories and ideas of the ghost world?
Alex was just as glad as everyone else he wasn’t going to just suddenly move on, and suddenly lose everything after just getting something at least close to happiness. The band was back, the guys were happy, they’d get to make music and do what they always loved and always enjoyed...but Alex was alone a lot...more than a lot. He was pretty much always alone now-Luke occupied by Julie and Reggie by Ray(who still didn’t know about them) and Carlos. Alex just...wandered. Up and down the streets of LA until they needed him to play or practice. He’d show up for those couple hours enjoying the routine of drumming and being able to work through some stuff through those motions...only to find himself right back here in the end.
Willie was gone; likely because of the fact he helped them, or because Caleb lost them to Julie and he was taking it out on the poor skater...either way he was gone and it was Alex’s fault. They’d joked-you never forget your First Ghost, and all kinds of stuff that they thought was helpful. About focusing on music, and that he’ll meet other ghosts. But he didn’t want to meet other ghosts. Other Ghost didn’t call him Hot Dog, and hold his hand while trying to teach him to skate. They didn’t help him scream away the anxiety and...they didn’t make him feel whole.
Willie made Alex feel like he mattered and without it-he was left with that ache across his chest and no real purpose. Was he just to play drums? Always and forever? Alex didn’t know if he could do that-but being dead complicated things. He couldn’t….do much else. So he was left to just worry about Willie. To worry what happened to the long haired man who made Alex feel like he had purpose-if he was suffering. If he was hurting-oh god what he was hurting? Those painful jolts that he felt coming back to his mind. What if he was waiting for Alex to save him and all Alex was doing was aimlessly wandering around Los Angeles. If he hadn’t been so set on helping the guys get back at Trevor, if he hadn’t been so intent on answering all his anxiety filled questions-they could of just been happy. They could of skated through the city and run through closed places with no one to stop them. Willie could teach him about Justin Bieber and some of those other names he mentioned. Instead he was probably gone- and it was Alex’s fault. He was suffering and no longer free all because of them and-
“Alex!” The voice managed to make it through his thoughts, there were hands on him a lot of them and he felt himself dragged up against something warm. There were to many hands-his hands shifted by they were caught being held gently against his chest. “Alex!” The voice shouted again, it sounded so scared...why were they scared? Was...was it Willie calling for him?
Why couldn’t he move?
His focus shifted from the racing thoughts to the touch, the hands on him and the voices all around him. His panic and horrified thoughts slowly fading as he tried to figure out what was going on. It felt-everything felt tight and painful and like he couldn’t breath. But he was a ghost right? He didn’t need to breath-so what was going on? It felt like his chest was being squished slowly by an elephant-making it impossible to take in any air-and then it all clicked and he gasped. Arching against the body holding him with a cough.
He hadn’t had a panic attack this bad since 1994.
“Alex Alex please-“ The voice pleaded in his ear, it didn’t sound so scared anymore-it sounded like they were crying. Pleading with so much sorrow and Alex focused on that. On the whispered cries and pleas as the world slowly shifted into focus. Things returned slowly. One by one-
Julie was crouched over him, her dark eyes filled with tears as she kneeled close but her hands were to herself. She looked so scared and Alex wanted to ask her why, but her face lit up seeing him look at her. “Hey-Hey Alex…” She soothed his hands fumbled and gently she moved to grasp it tightly. The other one being caught and he turned to see Reggie-he had the same expression Julie did.
Which means the body behind him, rubbing over his chest and rocking him is Luke. Slowly the whispers come through, coaching him to breath and calm down. To slowly and gently bring him down from the peak he got lost him and slowly, and oh so slowly, he comes down. He’s breathing now, heavily and shakily but there coming in. The tightness eases up slowly and slightly. Unwinding from around his heart and lungs and he’s just spent, tears running down his cheek and his face burns with embarrassment.
“I wish I could get him some water.” Julie whispered playfully to the guys trying to lighten her own anxiety and racing heart over worry for the blonde, Reggie laughs sympathetically but Luke’s focus is all on Alex.
“You back?” He whispers softly when he feels all the muscles unclench in the other and Alex gives a weak nodd. Luke sinks into him with a sharp noise and squeezes Alex against him.
“W-What was that? Was that Caleb? I thought we fixed it…” Julie asked softly, panic creeping into her voice a bit that they’d still lose one of them. That she didn’t save them all. Alex’s breathing hitches at the name and he feels that panic creep back up into his skin and Luke shushes him softly, his hands in his hair.
“Breath. Breath Alex...I’ve got you I’m right here.” He coaches softly, Julie gets the hint the poor girl and doesn’t say anything, watching as Luke coaches the other down again before it can spiral. They don’t move, no one moves at all. Just gently touching over him rubbing over his hands, through his hair and finally Alex just feels exhausted. Like he can fall through the floor and never come back. Luke is solid behind him though keeping him from doing just that.
No one asks, no one says anything, unsure if moving will spark anything or change anything. Alex can’t find his voice right now and they don’t seem to mind. He’s not even sure how long passes, Reggies climbing up slowly staying in eyesight to turn on the radio before coming back. The silence being filled does it’s job to calm him more and he finally feels stable enough to curl more against Luke. The man simply adjusts his legs and pulls him tighter against him. He can tell their scared, there worried and he owes them answers.
“I’m sorry.” Is the first thing out of his mouth, it doesn’t even sound like him. Croaked out through sandpaper and glass and Luke shushes him softly.
“That was - that was a bad one.” Luke whispered finally, unable to help himself. His hands are still shaking at the image. They’d been playing, messing around and Reggie had just gotten back from the main house. He’d turned to ask Alex if he was ready to find the drummer curled against himself against the wall. He wasn’t making a noise, but he kept flickering and honesty it scared Luke in ways he hadn’t been scared before. Because before it had been all of them, all together but the idea of losing only Alex?. He wrapped around the other afraid he’d vanish and they’d never see him again if they didn’t, if he didn’t hold him like Luke was the thing keeping him here. He’d recognized what it was right away and there wasn’t anything more they could do. Nothing to bring him back around until he was ready.
“What happened?” Julie finally whispered, even her hands were shaking.
“It’s...sometimes he gets them. Panic attacks and stuff. He use to have an inhaler for it...and we had all kinds of techniques like salt, or breathing exercises...but now that…” Reggie gestured. “None of them would work the same…”
“I’m so sorry Alex…” Julie whispered her hands coming up to comb through his hair and he closed his eyes. “Do you want to talk about it or are you not ready?”
Alex didn’t feel like he’d ever be ready but the name was through his lips before he could stop himself. “Willie.” He forced out and it seemed like Reggie suddenly remembered as well. Luke tensing behind him a bit. “I haven’t seen him since-since he helped us play the show….I’m so worried-worried Caleb hurt him because of us. That something-that he needs our help but I don’t know how to save him without risking everything again.” He rambled that sharp tone coming and Luke pressed gently grounding him again.
“Well….maybe I can lift Willies curse the way I did yours?” Julie offered looking between the three ghosts. “Maybe I can save him to...I can set him free…”
“Jules…” Luke said softly. “We don’t even know if you can see him. You haven’t seen other ghosts until us yeah? If you can’t see him-who knows if you can hug him? As far as we know we’ve got connections to you….but he doesn’t.”
“He’s got Willie.” Julie said firmly. “And that’s enough to try right? We can’t just leave someone who saved you to suffer a horrible, dark death. You guys have me, and each other. He-he only has Alex.” She defended.
“But what are we going to do? Caleb won’t let him out if he does have him, and it’s not like we can go in to get him. And for all we know he’ll hurt you!” Luke protested.
“That’s not true.” Julie pointed out. “We got into the Orpheum.” She countered. “Something you also thought was impossible. You know where this club is right?” They nodded. “Then we just need to come up with a plan- and he’s a ghost what’s the worst he can do to me?”
“But Caleb says they move around a lot…” Reggie added. “That they play all over the world.”
“But Willie doesnt. He stays here.” Alex whispered. “We don’t know if all ghosts can travel the same way….”
“And it’s worth a shot-if we worry about the what if’s we’ll never help him.” Julie said firmly. “We’ve just got to come up with a plan to get into the club and find him…”
“Caleb...Has all this staff and crew. If someone were to sneak in he might not even notice.” Luke reasoned. “All these waitresses and waiters-but we won’t be able to just walk right in. He’s probably waiting for us-for Alex if anything.”
“Maybe that’s it!” Julie grinned, shifting to look at them. “Maybe we play into that. That he’s looking and waiting for Alex to come to Willie. It’ll lead us right to him and when we’ve got him boom-We set him free and run!” She gestured. “It’s not like he can curse you again! Your free from him.”
“We don’t know what else he’s capable of…” Reggie pointed out.
“I’ll do it.” Alex said firmly, sitting up slowly with Luke’s help. “I don’t care about the risks. Willie risked it all for us-we can do the same.” Julie beamed at him, slowly pulling him into a hug before they were getting to work. Alex had to play a part-and he was willing to do it if it meant freeing the other. Even if it meant risking everything again. He couldn’t do it, he couldn’t keep going and drumming. Being this ghost knowing the cost. Once Alex seemed sure and aware enough they started talking, discussing everything and all with Julie they could possibly think of.
They needed to do this right or they’d end up in a bigger mess than before. After all there was no beating Caleb. There was only saving Willie and hoping he’d back off or something-maybe. Either way there focus and goal was set and everything else could come later.
Turns out Caleb was waiting for them to make the first move he knew Alex would come for Willie and the moment they’d made contact he was there at the spot Alex had set. A dazzling display of elegance and not at all phased by the blonde all alone in front of him. “Oh goodness, Alexander have you changed your mind all alone? Where are your friends?”
“Where’s Willie?” Alex demanded, ignoring everything else. “I know you have him.” He hadn’t ever had so much confidence in his voice and even Caleb raised a brow at him.
“So rude-I asked a question….have you. Changed your mind?” He repeated. “After all Alexander I did tell you you could have everything and anything you desired if you joined...including Willie…”
“I want to see him first.” Alex said looking at him. Calebs eerily blue eyes and wide smile. He gestured and the air shifted Willie appearing next to him with a noise, his eyes going wide to see the blonde.
“Alex.” He couldn’t help but be shocked, he’d thought surely the other had crossed over but here he was. Completely unphased and before him. “Alex what are-“ Caleb was quick to silence him with those familiar shocks that made the other jerk.
“How do I know you won’t just kill him?” Alex asked softly looking at the other as his eyes widened looking up at him. He couldn’t…
“My promise means everything of course.” Caleb said simply. “Im never one to break a promise….“
“That’s not enough.” Alex said firmly. “I want him to be safe-to he free.” Calebs eyes widened a bit but he was quick to cover it.
“Why I think that’s more than a fair trade, I can always get another waiter.” He mocked. “So-do we have a deal.” He repeated his hand reaching out to Alex.
“Let me...let me say goodbye.” Alex whispered the tears coming now, and it only seemed to delight Caleb more. He seemed to agree because he let Willie rush over, the man’s arms wrapping around Alex’s.
“You can’t-you can’t do this Alex it’s not worth it! I’m not worth it!” He protested his voice was rough, tears in those beautiful doe eyes and Alex only smiled. A mantra of please work please work in his head.
“Hold on.” He whispered wrapping around the other tightly and in an instant they were in the studio. Willies eyes going wide as he jerked away, the shock running through his body with a gasp. “We don’t have much time Calebs going to know where I took you-I had. I had to get you out of there.” Alex whispered frantacilly. “I couldn’t leave you there to die by his hand not after everything you did for us.”
“Alex.” Willie whispered tearfully, but the blonde only wrapped around him squeezing tightly. “You idiot.” He couldn’t help it laughing as he held right back. His fingers digging into the other. “He’s going to kill us both don’t you get that? How-how did-“ He jolted again with a cry.
“I-Julie. Julie saved us and maybe. Maybe she can save you to?” He asked tearfully. Looking up at the dark haired girl sitting with Luke and Reggie, she climbed up and she was looking right at him.
She could see him.
She could see him!
“It’s nice to finally meet you...Can I?.” She said softly, her own eyes filled with tears as she gestured and they shifted to make room for her to be wrapped around the two of them. Pouring every emotion possible into it, her love for sweet, gentle Alex. The one who always made she was okay and checked on her, and this poor soul who’d been tortured and abused by this man who tried to take her boys from her. How she just wanted to save him to how she wanted to save all of them and she felt that warmth and sensation as if the other was solid under her hands in the same way.
Willie jerked his eyes wide looking between the two. “You-how?”
“Honestly we have no idea but we’re not going to question it too much.” Luke joked softly, his own eyes wet at the thought that they did it. They saved him, they saved another from Caleb. Julie stepped away her hands touching the two of them but slowly moving to give them space. Overwhelmed she’d managed to save another from Caleb, it had to mean something right?
Willie looked at Alex, his face breaking out into an impossible smile as he tossed himself at the blonde again the two almost rocking as they squeezed one another. Sure, they were both ghosts. They were both dead-but they weren’t cursed anymore. They weren’t trapped and tied to this fate-and they were together.
They slowly pulled back but the hands and arms still twined together. Willies hair falling around his face and Alex gently reached to push it back behind his ear to see his face properly, that brilliant smile across his innocent face and Willie was almost speechless. “You...you really came. You came to save me.” He couldn’t believe it.
Alex could only smile through his own tears and emotions. “I told you I’d follow you.” He joked roughly, and Willie pulled him close again, only this time his hand found the back of the blondes hair, pulling him close so their lips could meet.
They’d have forever now.

Love Drug - Jeff Atkins
-
@anisiamoisa SAID: ‘I wanted to request a Jeff Atkins imagine where they take the love drug (season two episode 7 I think) with Clay, Hannah, Alex and Sheri. Maybe some smut too’
-
Warnings!: Just some cute smutty shit really, and mentions of drug use!
-
Sometimes when being around someone, you start to feel exactly how they feel. In this case, being with Clay makes me anxious as hell. He’s walking with his hands twiddling through each other, and he’s made his body look incredibly small. “Are you alright Clay?” I giggle. By the look on his face, I’d say no. “I’m fine,” I look across to Hannah, who was walking the other side of him. She shrugs, which makes me laugh. “It’s okay to be nerv-” “it’s just that we don’t know where these drugs have come from. We could die!” He explodes as we get outside Jeff’s house. “I don’t think Jeff is tryna kill us Clay,” me and Hannah laugh along together. “If you die, at least you can haunt him,” I add, nudging him on the shoulder. “You are NOT helping!”
“There she is!” Jeff woo’s as I walk in. The ‘pointing’ makes me blush massively. Huge arms wrap themselves around my waist, pulling me in as close as he can. About three or four kisses get placed in several places on my face, before turning to Clay and Hannah. “Hey guys, welcome,” he says ‘normally’. “I see how it is; favouritism,” Clay mutters, which makes me laugh too much. “Oh Clay’s jealous!” The grip is removed from me, and I witness his arms wrap around Clay, lifting him up slightly. “Do you want one, Hannah?” He offers once he lets Clay’s feet touch the ground again. “I’m good, but thank you,” Jeff doesn’t care, and gives Hannah a hug anyway. I swear my boy is too pure for this world.
Once Sheri and Alex arrive, we sit in a circle-ish. Hannah sits next to Clay, then Alex, then Sheri, and Jeff sits between my legs. Playing with Jeff’s hair is honestly one of my favourite things. Once again, Clay is twiddling his thumbs. “Clay-” “isn’t sugar and caffeine a kind of high, right?” he blurts out. I watch Hannah out her hand over Clay’s, which makes his eyes widen. Seeing Clay all caught up with Hannah is so cute. He should honestly just go for it. But then again, this is Clay we’re on about. Never gonna happen. “Jenson, would I ever lead you astray?” I lock hands with Jeff, intertwining our fingers tightly together. He raises them. My heart melts more as he places a kiss on each of the backs of my hands. One on each. I smile to myself. He loosens his grip, letting my hand slid away as he stands up. Reaching into his pocket, he takes out a small clear bag with white pills in there. He passes on to each of us, leaving Clay till last. “This peer pressure.” He shakes his head. He takes the pill anyway, but you can see the clear uncertainty in his face. And his voice. And his everything really. “I’m not gonna force you Jenson,” Jeff sits back with me, but hints me to shuffle forwards instead. Once he places himself behind me, I decide this is my chance to take the comfiest seat there is... Jeff Atkins’ lap. “But it’ll be good for you.” In no more - or less - than a ‘three, two, one’, each of us had swallowed our drug. Clay hesitated, as if he was seeing if we were all gonna take it, but he took it nevertheless. And now we wait.
It was a fast turn around this time. I almost felt it as soon as I gulped it down. And now we sit laughing and giggling about shit that isn’t really funny. “You’re friends,” pause, “with Justin Foley.” Jeff cries in laughter to Alex. I’m not sure why it’s funny, but we all laugh along anyway. “He’s an asshole,” Alex shakes his head with a massive smile. “He is...” I look over to Sheri, who you can tell is thinking. “He’s kinda hot though?” I shake my head, which makes Jeff nudge me in the side. “You don’t think Foley’s hot?!” He gasps. I turn to him, locking eyes. I put each hand on either side of his face. Pause. And... “nope.” I say simply. He raises his eyebrows, as if it’s totally unbelievable that I don’t find him attractive. “But, no one compares to you, my love,” I cringily whisper into his ear. I feel his smile widen across his face. I turn to gaze into his eyes, face to face. “You two are disgustingly adorable,” Hannah throws a pillow our way.
We continue to laugh for what seems like a long time, but it’s actually only 10/15 minutes. The drug makes you just feel entirely positive. Like this is where you’re meant to be, right in this moment. I am with the right people in this basement. And I’ve hardly ever hung out with Sheri, or Alex, or Hannah. Clay though, Clay’s around a little bit. I get pulled out of my trance with a poke in my back. Fiercely, I snap my head around to face Jeff. “What are you thinking about?” He whispers, touching my face with his nose. Feeling his breath against my face sends my body in a whole other place. Somehow, even in my high state of mind, I swivel myself a bit too smoothly so I’m facing him. Now I’m straddled against his body. “About how cute your’s and Clay’s friendship is,” giggling, I bury my head into his shoulder. When he moves his hands across my body I feel the enhancement of that happy little pill. They cross from my thighs, to my hips, to waist in one very swift movement. That’s all. And it feels incredible. “He’s obsessed with me,” Clay’s voice sounds distant, although he’s just over 2 metres away. All I’m focussed on is the way Jeff’s hands feel on my body. I just want him close. Closer. “You love me though Jenson,” Jeff turns his head back to mine, and they are instantly practically touching. All I can seem to do is gaze into those beautiful eyes. If I was sober, I’d be cringing at myself. But I love this guy. “What are you thinking about now?” Shivers get sent down my spine by the whispers that flowed into my ear. A small smirk appears and disappears off his face. “You,” I smile, and blush, and try not to go into a giggle mess. “Me?” I bite my lip slightly and nod. “You’re too cute,” he kisses my cheek, then on my jawline, then once on my neck. And that’s all I needed. When our eyes lock once again, and our noses touch ever so slightly, I just can’t take it no more. I’m so in love with this guy. “I think we should-” is all I can say before he hops up, takes my hands, and we start walking upstairs.
Jeff walks into his bedroom first. I follow, pushing my entire body weight onto the door for it to close. It’s not heavy or anything. When I turn I see my beautiful boyfriend sat on the bed. I watch as his eyes scan my body from top to toe. My body sways as I walk towards him, and his gaze doesn’t change. “Stop! You’re making me embarrassed!” I push him on the shoulder. Soft hands embrace my still clothed hips. “You’re so beautiful,” whispering, he guides my body onto his, into a straddling position once again. My index finger goes to his lips, shushing him. The problem with pretty boy over here is he doesn’t shut up. So even when I shush him, he continues being absolutely fucking adorable. “I could look at you all day,” he shrugs. “Oh you could?” I question, pushing his chest down so he’s with his back against the bed. His hands proceed to smooth up and down my thighs as I’m leant over his with my clothes crotch on top of his. When they connect, Jeff’s face looks almost pleasured already. “You’re literally like a work of art,” he leans up to mutter into my ear. Before I can even reply, he rotates us so he’s on top. A kiss gets placed on my cheek. Another on my jawline. And another on my neck. A shockwave of pleasure gets sent through my body as I feel his tongue press against a very nice spot. Jeff knows my body better than I do. My hands go to the back of his neck. And then I realise that this isn’t what I want. Gently lifting his head, our eyes meet once again. Then I attach my lips onto his... finally.
Sometimes foreplay is a bit long. Sometimes it feels a little dirty. Sometimes you just wanna actually have a sensual moment. I wanna make love to my boyfriend. Especially in my cloud 9 state. His tongue glides along mine effortlessly. His hands smoothing from my waist to my hips to my thighs feels better than it ever has. Euphoria x100. In motion, he slips a hand to the front of my jeans, unbuttoning them and throwing them off. I giggle against his lips as they launch onto the floor. In a minuscule moment where his lips aren’t fix onto mine, I tug at the end of his tee. My hands magnetise onto the abs on his stomach with haste. The smile on Jeff’s face grows, but he presses his lips together in attempt to contain it. “What?” I whisper. “That kinda tickles,” my face: crimson.
In another supersonic action, my thong was on the floor. As was his joggers. All that remained between us was his boxers. And within seconds they had vanished too. “I love you,” I kiss him once. “So much,” I add, placing my lips against his in a lengthy kiss. You could hear it scream with passion and desire. Excitement rushed through my body as I finally feel his penis start to go inside me. My mouth widens to inhale a slightly deep breath of air. Having Jeff this close... I just know he’s mine. The pining kiss continued until he was fully inside. Eye to eye, nose to nose, I gaze up to him and smile. I get lost in the moment. This. This is perfection. There’s no place I’d rather be. No person I’d rather be with. This is it. Before anything, he stamps my forehead with a kiss. One, two, three. “You are so enthralling,” I look at him and frown with the biggest smile. “Enthral- what?” When I begin to giggle, he actually begins to blush. “Clay taught me it. It means, like, fascinating,” he explains. Which just makes my heart melt. I stick my bottom lip out in a sad motion. “What?” He nudges his nose against mine. “You’re just so cute,” I pin my lips back against his. Deep feelings of just pining for the godly specimen on top of me oozes through between the connection of our tongues.
My mouth widens as he begins to thrust himself out, and back in. He proceeds to place wet kisses against and around my lips. The heaviness of my breath correlates with the hand sliding up and down my thigh. Every touch sends an unexplainable feeling through my body. It must be the perfect blend of adrenaline, that love hormone and whatever the fuck drug I’m on. But I can’t focus on that. I can’t focus on anything but the fact that I’m in love with this boy. I’m making love to the boy that I love. The way he squeezes my thigh and my waist. I almost completely come undone when he lifts my right leg up slightly. “Fuck,” I moan against his tender lips. My fingers spread through his hair, pulling slightly more at every inch of pleasure pumping through my body. I know that I’m completely under his spell. I like it here.
I wrap my legs around his body more and more. Even though he’s as close as he can get, I’d try anything to get him closer. With every thrust I find myself not only a moaning mess, but falling for a boy that I’ve already fallen hard for. It’s like that excitement you get when you see a boy for the first time. And I don’t know what comes over me, but I flip us around so I end up being on top. My chest: flat against his. All I can do is smile cheekily. The thing with us is, we know each other. So I begin moving up and down on his manhood. Both of his hands go to my waist, guiding me at a steady pace. “Oh my god,” he rolls his eyes back. It’s nice to know I have some sort of hold on him, as back as that probably sounds. “You’re so beautiful,” kisses are placed all over my face, but mainly on my lips. Our tongues dance to the rhythm of our own beat. “Fuck Y/N,” this does it for me. His words send my body over the edge, pushing my insides to climax. As if it was in sync, Jeff reaches his too. I ride out both of our highs.
I throw myself down next to him. “You’re incredible, you know that?” He presses my body close to his. He feels like a dream. Or maybe it’s the very slightly delay of these drugs. Everything is just... more. “I think I just fell in love with you more,” he whisper into my ear. Every breath I cherish. “You’re so fucking cute, you know that?” Is what I find to respond with. I look up to him and see him thinking. The concentration on his face was quite full on. “I don’t think we should go back to the others,” when he turns his head, our eyes immediately lock. “Whyyyyyy?” I cock my leg up onto his abdomen, turning to face him fully. “I just wanna cuddle.” The beautiful Jeff Atkins.

13 reasons why season 4 review
THERE WILL BE SPOILERS IN THIS!! if you haven’t finished the season yet i suggest you skip this!! :)
also this will be super long because i tend to ramble and i’ll give reviews for each character/most of the storylines! ((half way through reading this i read @jessica-acholas and @analuciacortez reviews and i agreed with a lot of it so you guys should all read their reviews as well!!))
over all ranking:
as a whole, i would give this season a 7/10. i originally was gonna give it a 6 but they get an extra point for all the zalex scenes we got, and i also was thinking of the mess that was s3 so i had to give them that extra point too
storylines/the season as a whole:
my biggest concern/annoyance with this season was how rushed or repetitive it was
every storyline this season was either super rushed or super dragged out- no in between. the fact that we only had 10 episodes as opposed to the normal 13 probably had a part in this, which idk why they cut the episodes short. let’s start off with the dragged out storylines, one of them being clay’s nightmare sequences. i honestly did like his therapy scenes because it was good to see him get help and he was a much better narrator than ani, but his nightmare scenes were so long i literally had to skip all of them i got so bored. another dragged out storyline was jesstin, which i probably will get complains about. i think they have their cute scenes and i do love both characters, especially jess being tied with alex for #1 and justin being in my top 5. but my god their storyline/relationship is beyond repetitive, its been the exact same thing for 4 whole seasons. they break up, have a long speech about how they’re not right for each other, spend the whole season pining after each other, make up in the end and then have another speech about how in love they are. like writers please make up your mind- do you want them together or not?? we also had another repetitive love triangle this season just like every other with justin jess and diego as opposed to the justin jess and alex one for like 2 seasons.
now for the rushed storylines, one of them being alex’s relationship with charlie. i love charlie ever since we saw him in s3, he’s so pure and a lovable guy and i love how he loves alex. however they happened like out of nowhere?? alex went from being in love with jess for 3 seasons to being in love with 2 people in 4 episodes. if you blinked you would’ve missed the “build up” to their relationship, and honestly it felt like they just randomly threw in some relationship for alex because they didn’t wanna have zalex happen. i’m not saying this to be bitter (maybe i am lol) but zalex had 3 seasons worth of build up and could’ve been an amazing slow burn relationship for the whole season, instead they rushed another relationship. zach is also another character who had a rushed storyline with his drinking problem, which literally happened out of nowhere too?? he just showed up this season drunk in the first scene and drunk in literally every single scene we saw him in. this storyline also never got resolved, it just stuck there like the writers didn’t even care to end or resolve it. just like how zalex could’ve worked better for alex, it could’ve worked better for zach too since his drinking problem could’ve been helped by alex. i swear the writers just hate us at this point
characters review:
clay: one of my favorites honestly, he’s in my top 5. sure clay has had his moments where he’s been annoying and extra but so has literally every single character in this show- besides tony lol. like i stated above my main concern was how dragged out his sequences were this season, like i couldn’t watch all of them. also another huge problem i had with him this season was how big of a jerk he was to justin??? for like half of the season he was rude to him and would give snarky remarks/hints like when he was surprised colleges would even want justin, which i don’t blame justin for thinking that clay expected him to just relapse again and throw his life away. the same can be said for when clay said all those awful things to him at the party- his parents not being his and not trusting him like wtf? i felt SO BAD for justin there i was expecting clay to apologize to him. on the topic of the party episode, he literally crashed zach’s car and sent them flying 30 ft in the air just to leave zach all alone to literally die?? then there’s also the part where he and ani outed alex before he was ready to fully come out which sucks, that’s something you should never do but i know he was just worried about alex and didn’t want him to get heartbroken over winston - but why didn’t you tell him sooner??
ani: like i said with clay, i hated how she outed alex before he was ready to come out. i don’t understand how her and clay both didn’t think to tell everyone - especially ALEX who literally killed bryce and would’ve gotten hurt the most about winston?? they both knew that winston and alex both knew each other and met at the hillcrest party, so why not tell him winston is gonna be looking for information to clear monty’s name?? alex is literally the only person you guys SHOULDVE told first?? however i did enjoy her this season as opposed to s3, she had a great redemption and i liked that she finally apologized to jess for sleeping with bryce. she also wasn’t up everyone’s business this season and i loved all her scenes with jess, especially the prom ones
alex: HAAAAAA BI KING WHO GOT HIS HAPPY ENDING AND DIDNT GO TO JAIL FOR FLOORING THAT RAPIST!!! HOW DO YOU BRYCE AND MONTY STANS FEEL THAT BOTH OF THEM ARE 6FT UNDER WHILE ALEX IS FREE 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 i’m so happy he got his happy ending and became secure in his sexuality, that’s all i ever wanted for him since s1. i’m not saying this because i’m biased and he’s my favorite character, but he truly was one of the only characters who didn’t annoy me this season. he had a great arc even if it was super rushed, we finally got a zalex mutual love confession (i’m still bitter that we didn’t get our endgame but in my head we did), and i love how even if he and justin had their differences in the past seasons he was there for him in the end. i don’t really have any complaints about him besides the whole charlie thing being super rushed and so random?? why did the show put 2 bottoms together like we wouldn’t notice 🤨🤨
jessica: jess is my favorite character tied with alex, both of them have been since s1. i loved how she continued to be her badass self this season but a lot of the things she did/said kinda rubbed me the wrong way?? like i applauded her for calling out ani for judging who she was sleeping with after ani slept with bryce, but when you think about it diego literally is a rape apologist too?? jess tyler is literally your friend why would you date the guy who’s defending his rapist?? also don’t get me started how diego treated clay horribly this season, he was suffering with his mental illness and he played pranks on him and called him a psycho??? clay has always been there for you jess and he’s also one of your friends why would you still hang out with diego?? also in the first episode where justin breaks up with her and she got mad at him i got upset with her, justin made valid points he’s a recovering drug addict who needs to focus on himself not a relationship. i don’t understand why she got so mad at that, it was lowkey ooc for her? overall i still loved her i just hate how the writers reduce her to only a guy each season, but she still was amazing over all and looked beautiful!! her scenes with ani were great and i cried so much at her scenes with justin at the end.
zach: another one of my favorite characters who the writers did so dirty this season. i’ve loved zach since s1 as well, he’s in my top 5 and i’ve always loved how even if he was a jock he was still good hearted and there for everyone. i hated how in this season the writers forgot all of his traits and basically wrote him as a new person?? his drinking storyline was beyond random and had no build up/not even a resolution in the end. where even was his mother or sister this entire season. the show always paid him dirt and never focused on his home life when it was clear he didn’t have the best relationship with his mom. i’m so annoyed at how they wrote him as a “drunk” all season and didn’t even acknowledge his struggles. his scenes with alex were great, and i loved every single one of them. i’m still dying on the zalex hill and saying that they missed the perfect opportunity to make them a couple, it would’ve helped his storyline just like alex’s.
justin: oh my god, when i say my heart broke in the last episode it really did. i remember hating justin in s1, and then loving him in s2 with him being in my top 5 favorite characters. he had the best redemption arc, and i loved his portrayal of a recovering drug addict. i’m thinking now and he also didn’t annoy me this season just like alex, he was great and i’m so sad how they basically stomped all over his arc by killing him. it’s clear the show only killed him off because clay started the show by losing someone he loved, and ended it the same way. him dying by aids was so random and made 0 sense, i honestly thought he was gonna die from an overdose when discussing theories because i had a feeling it was either him or alex who were gonna die. they didn’t have a buildup for his hiv/aids- only added scars/bruises throughout the season which no one noticed if they weren’t closely examining him. i’m so saddened by his death and i will be planning a funeral for him along with zalex’s 💔.
tony: honestly a great character throughout the whole show, never was annoying and always was there for literally everyone. tony has always been a fighter and has been through so much without showing it, and i’m glad he got to go to college at the end and see his sister. i’m also so happy we got more scenes between tony and caleb this season because they are one of my favorite couples and are so underrated in the show and with fans ❤️ i was upset when he didn’t believe tyler, but i understood where he was coming from because he just wanted to be safe.
tyler: he’s so pure and i also loved his arc throughout the show, i’m so happy he has friends who love him and him and estela were so cute! i wish they explored more about him and the sheriffs working together because i honestly was confused about that before rewatching scenes. i also hate how they made him feel bad about monty dying when it literally was not his fault a rapist got killed in prison- monty’s rotting 6 ft under hello let’s celebrate to that!! i also loved how he was so supportive when he found out about winston and alex on the camping trip, he seemed worried about alex when winston said they broke up. i also love how alex was the only one who truly believed in him the entire show.
bryce: good riddance!! when i say i yelled when jess saw him when she was burning the tape why did he smile like pennywise?2@/@20so glad we saw no flashbacks of him this season and that he was just an annoying ghost, but even that annoyed me
monty: just like bryce good riddance!!! thank god we didn’t get that much of a redemption arc because i would’ve lost it- even though i literally rolled my eyes every time his ghost tried to say something that was supposed to make us feel bad for him. he’s rotting with bryce 🧚🏻‍♀️🤩
charlie: i loved him, he was so nice to everyone and so pure. i just wish they let him and alex be just friends because that came out of nowhere. i hope he’s baking more cookies and being happy
caleb: such a supportive bf i love him and tony, wish we saw more of him but i hope he’s living his best life <3
winston: he gave me joe from you vibes the entire season why was he creepy lowkey s:@:&;&!392&-03@3&4 nobody @ me but for a second i thought him and alex were cute during the bowling scene then i remembered who he was. he was a rape apologist which i hated, like dude he’s dead get over it i promise that dick probably wasn’t that good that you have to do a whole fbi investigation for him. the fact that he fell in love with monty and alex after like a week is sending me oddjdkckdkdj but i too am in love with alex standall so i see where he’s coming from, he gets points for not turning alex in at the end but i expected him to be a bigger villain this season but thank god he wasn’t because i would’ve floored him
chloe: my best girl who i wish we saw more of we only saw her for like 3 scenes?? the show did her dirty even in s3 she should’ve had more scenes her storyline was amazing :/ i did enjoy her and zach’s friendship it was so refreshing to see a m/f friendship and i’m glad they didn’t make them romantic. i didn’t expect her and scott to date but go girl!!
diego: literally came out of nowhere where were you for the other 3 seasons? i literally laughed every time he would talk about missing monty like who cares if he got you into football he was a rapist no one cares. i hated how he made clay go literally insane by pulling those pranks on him and calling him psycho?? “why’d you bring a knife” MF YOU GAVE IT TO HIM???? he was nice at the end so i guess i’ll give him some points and he also wasn’t a HUGE jerk i liked how him and justin helped each other when the cop was being racist/a dick and that he seemed upset at justin’s funeral
estela: her and tyler were super cute together and i loved how she acknowledged what monty did and didn’t try to make excuses to defend him. also loved how she wanted to join HO and was completely different from monty
so overall that was my review of the season, i will miss the characters so much and zalex will continue to haunt me every night i cannot escape 💔 jess and alex are my emotional support characters who would’ve thought. selena gomez and the 13rw writers you will pay for your crimes this season!

Steve Harrington was a nuisance. He didn’t know when to quit. If he asked you one more question about the stupid Wham! album, you were going to scream. But there you, with your big, fake smile that made the corners of your mouth hurt, nodding along to whatever Harrington was droning on about. You thought he was still contemplating the choice between the single and the whole record. He had made some comment about only needing the song Careless Whisper off the record and the salesgirl in you had tried to up sell him, suggesting buying the cassette and the single, to ensure that he didn’t need both. It was a terrible idea-singles were in essence, an awful to buy, but so was buying both the full cassette and the single, since it would cost twice as much than just buying the record. But you believed Harrington was just dumb enough to fall for the scheme. You’d gotten smarter boys to buy more than they needed. Last week, you’d been able to convince Keith to buy singles of a bunch of your favourite songs, purely because he was shamelessly trying to impress you. He failed to do so, but you might be getting a mix tape out of it, which wouldn’t be terrible. You collected mix tapes, especially mix tapes about broken hearts or first love. You planned to make an art installation with them, but for now they sat in a shoe box under your passenger seat.
“So, you think I should get the cassette and the single on record?” Steve asked, drawing you out of your thoughts. Your smile dropped slightly, trying to piece together what he was talking about.
You found it fast, nodding too enthusiastically “Yeah! I mean, between you and me, it’s a better deal...” you said, keeping your voice low as if it was a big secret what you were telling him.
“Is it?” Steve asked, crossing his arms over his chest, the record and tape still in hand, each poking out on either side of him. You stifled a yawn, nodding again. You’d been there since seven that morning and the mall was closing in an hour. You were beyond exhausted, but Tiffany Michaels called in sick, again, and so you had to cover again.
“Yeah!” you let your cheery tone fall away a bit, hoping the irritation slipping through would give him the hint to clear off. This interaction had been going on for a half hour now. It had started with him asking for record suggestions, which you took to mean ‘tell me the albums the popular hits on the radio are coming from’ and pattered off the top selling records from memory. You’d sold more copies of Madonna’s Like a Virgin in the past week than you could possibly keep track of, purely because people wanted the album with Material Girl or Like a Virgin or Into the Groove on it. Steve had gotten unsurprisingly interested in the album with Careless Whisper on it, as did most horn dog, wannabe players who came strutting into your store. You were more than happy to sell him the record and get on with your shift, but he wasn’t letting that happen.
“Cause, the full record’s like eight bucks.” He held up the tape “But the tape’s like six, plus three bucks for the single that’s like nine bucks, that’s more than the record.” He grinned, placing the tape on top of the single, handing them back to you as if they were yours.
You felt your face colour, in part because he’d taught you in your lie, but in part because he seemed genuinely proud of that mental math. “You’re...you’re right. I wasn’t thinking, sorry ‘bout that.” You said easily, shrugging as you placed the single back on the shelf and the tape into the plastic shopping basket on your arm. He’d caught you shelving tapes in the easy listening section half an hour ago and you weren’t allowed to shelf while talking to a customer, meaning you were forced to lug them around with you as Steve wandered, asking questions. And those things were heavy all lumped together! There had to be at least a hundred copies of Kate Bush’s Running Uphill and Whitney Houston’s Whitney Houston in your stupid basket!
“It’s cool, no biggie...I think I’ll just get the single, come back for the record if I like the song enough.” He decided with a small nod.
You grit your teeth. You wanted to scream about how singles were a waste of money and how you’d make no money on commission for that. Instead, you nodded “Great! If you just head to the counter, Michelle can check you. Enjoy your record!” you said, turning on your heel and practically rushing out of the stereo accessory section he’d dragged you to. You only had forty minutes to shelf all the tapes on your arm, or else you’d have to stay passed close to do it, which both your closing manager and you would hate.
“Hey, uh wait!” he called, chasing after you. You let out a small sigh, turning back with a painful smile. “I was sort of wondering, well maybe if you’d wanna maybe go out this weekend? They’re showing Dawn of the Dead at the theatre, I’ve heard it pretty good...” he rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, eyes drifting to the ceiling instead to yours.
Your brows furrowed. You weren’t expecting this from him. But, of course, he was not the first boy to ask you out while you were at work. It was a distressingly common theme. You assumed that guys liked that you had to be nice to them, or that they didn’t realize that you had to be nice and assumed that you were flirting. “Oh...um I’m working this weekend...” you said, shuffling on your feet. Most of the time, when guys ask you out at work, they seemed so confident and cocky, it was easy to reject them. But Steve looked genuinely nervous and you couldn’t place why.
Steve’s smirk only grew, he leaned in closer, trapping you against a rack of blank tapes “Aw come on, have a little fun,  come out with me instead.” He said. You’d heard this shtick before, Billy Hargrove had tried it on you just a couple weeks prior. Having it come from Steve ‘The Hair’ Harrington, made you want to puke. Because you knew exactly where he’d been. With Billy, it was unclear; lots of girls lied about what they did and didn’t do with that boy. But everyone knew who did what with Harrington. You weren’t too interested in being put on a list.
“Yeah, I actually need the money so…no.” you replied, pushing out from under his arm and away from him. Steve stumbled back, shocked and a little mortified by how you’d reacted to his flirting.
Steve’s head dropped, his gaze focusing on his scuffed converse before he looked at you again “Yeah...yeah no that’s cool, no biggie. Some other time then...” he said awkwardly, brushing the singular strand of brown hair from his face. You didn’t say anything, what were you supposed to say? That you thought he was a douche and had zero interest in doing anything with him? That kind of language could get you fired. And you needed this job, you desperately needed a car for next year.
“I’ll see you around?” Steve tried awkwardly, his smile turning into a frown fast as you didn’t respond.
“Yeah sure.” You nodded “I gotta go shelf this stuff before the mall closes.” You headed back towards the easy listening section, trying not to cringe at the awkward interaction you’d just experienced. It was so very awkward! It was more fun to reject assholes who treated you like a well dressed object to leer and gawk at. Sam Goody didn’t have uniforms per say, simply a dress code to uphold; it was encouraged to look cool, hip, and young. As long as your shoes were black sneakers, your hair wasn’t fully in your face, and you could see your bottoms under your tiny apron, you were good. Which meant you chose your clothes carefully. Generally, you went with a patterned button down, which you could pop as many or as few buttons on as you want. That meant that you could be remembered by your male and female customers alike could either remember you by your name or as the chick with the great tits. It worked well.
But it also meant that guys like Steve Harrington talked to your chest.
And it was weird for Steve to talk to your chest! Especially since you and Steve had never had a conversation. Like ever. If you weren’t wearing a nametag, you’d be utterly shocked that he knew your name. Because he was the proverbial king of Hawkins and you were a nobody. Well, a nobody until someone wanted to use your employee discount. Then, suddenly you were the most popular girl in school. Hell, you should’ve gotten a job sooner, maybe you would’ve had a date to the spring formal last year.
Steve did buy the single. Even though he hated singles. Who wanted to listen to one song over and over again? Even if it had a B-side, it wasn’t worth the price. He bought it, he made sure to say that you helped him, and then he left. The mall was closing down, save the movie theatre, and he wanted to get home as soon as possible. That was so embarrassing. He didn’t even know why he tried, it wasn’t as if she had any pretence to him. All the other girls he’d been hitting on that summer were his age, they knew him and his style. They also knew about the most humiliating moment in his life, a lot of them were even there to experience it second hand. But you had only the rumours of his dickish tendencies to go off of. That wasn’t enough for anyone to work with.
But stupid Dustin had gotten it in his head that he had to get a girl, that Robin was the right girl. But Robin wasn’t the right girl, no way in hell. So he went in harder on trying to get a date. Every girl his age got hit on, he’d nearly got his ass beat by Justin Gardner after hitting on his girlfriend in front of him, but how was he supposed to know Justin was dating? Justin was a benchwarmer who couldn’t get a date if he paid them in school. Now suddenly he could get a hottie? Unbelievable.
It didn’t help that Dustin had a girlfriend now. And yes, it was embarrassing that Steve was jealous of a thirteen year old for having a girlfriend, he would never admit it out loud. But even though he didn’t believe that Suzie actually existed, it was slightly annoying that his dorky little friend could get a girlfriend and he couldn’t. He used to be able to get any girl he wanted! What happened? Did Nancy spread a rumour about him that he hadn’t heard yet? Was it because he lost a fight to both Billy Hargrove and Jonathan Byers? Or was it because he wasn’t going to college in the fall?
He was almost certain it was because he wasn’t going to school in the fall.
That and the dorky sailor outfit he had to wear at Scoops Ahoy!
The dumb Dixie cup hat and sailor shirt were totally throwing off his game. That’s why he was looking forward to going to the mall that day, out of uniform, to scope babes. He didn’t have much success, but he was a little bit excited to see you out of uniform. He’d seen you about a dozen times, all while you were at work, leaned over the counter, sometimes chewing on the end of a pen, sometimes laughing with coworkers or customers. You always looked so...well beautiful. He had to see it up close. And you just a beautiful up close, but it was obvious that you were uncomfortable too. Still, you were cute. He wished that you were a year older, that you already had all the context to his life. But what could he do? He wasn’t going back in there, not with you wandering around with your judgy eyes. It would be humiliating.
And he was already humiliating himself enough that summer.
You finished shelving the tapes in record time, mostly because the shop was empty and Michelle was thoroughly annoyed by your usual slow closes. You wanted to do a good job with your work and not rush the job, whereas Michelle just wanted to leave as fast as possible. After Sean, your least threatening manager, locked up the shop, the three of you all headed towards the exit. You rode your bike to work, since your mother almost never lent you the family car, but at night you felt less and less comfortable riding home. Sometimes Sean would offer you a ride, but ever since he and Michelle started hooking up, the rides got less and less frequent and when they did happen, Sean would spend the whole time complaining about the ambiguity of his relationship with Michelle. You didn’t take the rides home too often anymore. Not that one would be offered tonight, Michelle had latched herself onto his arm and had nuzzled so deep into his neck that you wondered if she could even see where she was going.
“You want a ride, Y/N?” Sean called as you exited into the parking lot. Sean’s burgundy pickup truck was parked so close to the doors and your legs were so tired. But taking the ride home meant that you’d either have to sit next to them on the front seat or in the trunk part with your bike. And neither option sounded too much better than peddling home.
“Nah, thanks though, I’d rather ride home.” You said with a smile, heading over to the bike racks and pulling the key out from around your neck and off your head, jabbing it into the padlock and clicking the lock open, wrapping the chain around the neck of your bike.
“You sure? It’s pretty dark already...” Sean replied, looking around the desolate parking lot, more concerned than he really needed to be.
“Baby, she said she’s fine.” Michelle said, resting a hand on his chest. Sean didn’t argue passed that and you turned on your bright bike light, swinging your leg over the seat and propped your foot on the peddle, pushing off.
You sped home, making it back to your house in record time. Your mother had left you a note by the door, explaining that she’d taken your younger sister to ballet class and she’d be home late. You crumpled up the note paper, tossing it into the waste paper bin by the powder room door, climbing the stairs and heading into the bathroom, turning on the hot water in your tub and letting it start to fill up. You were rifling through the pile of magazines next to your bed, trying to find the latest issue of cosmo you’d nicked from the corner store just a couple days ago.
Across town, Steve was hiding in his room. His father had ripped him a new one. Again. Turns out, his sailor suit was still laughable a month in to him having to wear it. He still wasn’t over the fact that Steve hadn’t gotten into college and he couldn’t get a better job than ice cream scooper part time. His standards of jobs in Hawkins was a bit too high, in Steve’s opinion. Still, his degrading of him at every turn was getting exhausting. He flopped on his mattress pitifully.
“This whole summer has been a nightmare…” you both muttered, you as you slipped into the steamy water, Steve as he kicked off his thick white socks.
Working at Sam Goody had many perks, like not having a stupid uniform and not smelling like spoiled food all the time, but you spent your time surrounded by assholes. You wanted to meet one nice guy. One guy who didn’t leer down your top and talk to your tits, who didn’t smirk at you or call you ‘baby’, ‘sugar’, or ‘honey’. Just one descent guy who’d treat you like a person instead of a sex doll. God, you would’ve said yes to Harrington if you weren’t working, at least at first. Once he pulled the macho, ‘I know you want me baby’ shit you were out completely. But for a second, when he was rambling on about Dawn of the Dead, you felt like you could stomach a night out or two with him
Meanwhile, Steve just wanted to feel like himself again. His whole last year of high school had been hell on his confidence. First, Nancy dumps him, then Billy Hargrove takes over his team and steals all his friends, then he didn’t get into college, and then Scoops Ahoy? It was all too much. He’d never felt like a loser in his life. He used to be liked, he used to be popular. And yeah, being popular didn’t really matter anymore, but for one last summer before everything changed on him, he wanted to be someone again. Just for a minute. And maybe that’s why he was acting like such an asshole. Because he needed some control over his life. He wished he could’ve gotten in under control when he was talking to the pretty girl in the record store, he made himself into such a douche. That wasn’t who he was, but she didn’t know that. God, he wanted to curl up into a ball and die.
You turned your head up to the ceiling, letting your sweaty neck stick to the cold tile behind your head. You didn’t want to go to work the next day, at least you had the morning shift. Tracey Lords would hopefully make into her shift that day. She hated opening shifts, so the pair of you often traded. You’d still have to stay behind if you got a bit of a rush, which you were expecting. Tomorrow was Friday, when the buses filled with the townies from the neighbouring towns and cities, all coming to bask in the free A/C and glorious shopping experiences. You hated Fridays, they always brought in the worst types of people, mostly shoplifters, who totally ruined your sales for the week. You vowed to stop stealing magazines from the Pick n’ Save after you saw your commission rates plummet after last Friday and a terrible group of greedy kids stole up your section.
Steve really didn’t want to go to the mall at all the next day, if only because he didn’t want to see you in his stupid sailor and hat, walking around like the geek of the week. He just wanted to hide away every shift. But the malls back hallways didn’t lead to any bathrooms, so he was forced to wander the mall like an idiot every time he needed to alleviate himself. He didn’t want you to see him like that. His confidence was already so low, he didn’t need to crumble up what was left of it.
Steve fell asleep that night with dreams of a face, undefined beyond a set of eyes, a nose, and a wide smile. No matter what he said in the dream, the person, a girl his dream decided for him, just smiled and laughed. The eyes were so deep and wide, they took up most of his memory of the dream, although he couldn’t even really place the colour of them, just that they looked at him so lovingly. The way he longed for someone to look at him. He woke up the next morning still in his sailor suit, with the eyes following him to work.
Across town, you woke up from a deep, dreamless sleep. You woke up well rested for the first time in weeks, it was as though someone slipped a sleeping pill in your bath water the night before and it sent you crashing into the pillow with your whole body ready and willing to sleep. You went into work happier than ever, high on the endorphins a good night’s sleep gave you.
Both you and Steve left for work at the exact same time that morning, unaware of your paths even crossing. You headed upstairs to meet Toby, who had the keys to unlock the store, and set to work straightening up the shop and opening your register for the day. Kim Rein sauntered in twenty minutes late, fifteen minutes before the mall opened and you tried not to give her too much side eye. Steve started his own open a level below, restocking cones and cups and filling his soap and sanitizer buckets under the counter.
Once the mall opened, you suffered through four hours of stupid people with stupid questions about terrible albums. You sold three copies of Kate Bush’s Running Uphill, which was an accomplishment for you, since her last album was the only popular due to the hilariously weird Wuthering Heights. You were bored by two in the afternoon, when Toby finally sent you on break. All you wanted was a damn Orange Julius and you’d pay any amount for one.
Likewise, Steve was very much over his shift around the same time when Robin finally agreed to let him go on his damn break. He just needed to get out of the stupid shop. He was going to go to the cheap vending machine, the one by the cafeteria bathrooms, to get a can of Coke. Both of you headed into the shopping mall, trying to avoid anyone you knew.
Unfortunately, you ran directly into Tommy Hanson.
Tommy Hanson was an asshole and a bully. He didn’t know how to treat anyone decently.  He stepped all over people. Was it any wonder that Carol broke up with him at least twice a year? It just so happened that Carol dumped him during the summer.
And now he was standing in front of you, blocking your way to the sweet, sweet Orange Julius.
“Y/N, baby, looking foxy as always.” He said, running his tongue over his upper lip. He’d stolen that look from Billy Hargrove and it didn’t work for either of them.
“Tommy.” You replied, skirting passed him and into the short line, keeping your eyes on the board above the shop.
“Why you rushing off, baby?” he asked, following behind you “I just wanna talk for a second…” you didn’t reply, ignoring him as best you could. ”You’re stunning, you know that? Absolutely gorgeous…” his eyes ran over your body like a tongue; his gaze was thick and hot, it made you want to cringe and pull away.
“Thank you.” You said shortly, getting to the front of the line and ordering quickly.
“What’d you say we go into the back, fool around for a bit?” he asked in your ear. You grimaced, glaring at him before moving out of the way for the next person.
“Don’t make me puke, Hanson.” You snapped, grabbing your blended drink from the poor server having to watch the scene going on between you and Tommy.
“Aw come on, don’t be such a bitch, Y/N.” Tommy whined, grabbing your drink from your hands “You know you want to...”
You reached for your drink, but Tommy just pulled it away. God, he was such a damn child. “Tommy, give me back my drink.” You said sternly.
“Come with me, I’ll give it back when we’re done, you’ll need it more then anyway.” He replied cheekily.
Steve saw this scene going down from the vending machine. He contemplated going over there when Tommy first walked over; he knew that the guy had gotten pretty scummy since he started hanging out with Billy. But when he starting grabbing things from you and taunting you, Steve couldn’t help but go over there.
“Dude,” Steve said, grabbing the drink out of Tommy’s hand, hovering over him. “You wanna try to get a decent personality?”
You looked between the pair of them, trying to decide if you could run off while they were arguing. But you paid good money for that drink and you really wanted it. You realized quickly that Tommy wasn’t going to let this go, and you really couldn’t stand the kid as is. You made your move fast.
“Steve!” you gasped with a shrill giggle “There you are!” you walked over to him, taking the drink he offered shyly and wrapping an arm around his waist. “So are you gonna take me out this weekend or not?” you asked, batting your eyelashes up at him. Steve looked utterly startled, but he didn’t react poorly.
“Course, darling...” he cooed. Steve could’ve died; you made such a disgusted face at the nickname he would’ve happily melted into the tile and be mopped up by Larry the janitor. But you didn’t pull your arm away.
“Walk me back to work?” You asked sweetly. Steve nodded, not trusting himself to not say anything embarrassing. You waved to Tommy, letting Steve lead you away from him, taking a long sip from your drink. It was already melting, but it was still sweet and cold, so you didn’t mind. And Steve had helped you out, although somewhat unwillingly, which was certainly an improvement.
Steve looked back only once, but the look on Tommy’s face was priceless. He looked so annoyed and more than a little broken up about his snatching away of you. His ego hadn’t been this inflated since October of last year. He felt like he was on cloud nine, like he was finally himself again. And even when you let him go, he still felt good about himself.
“Thanks for the help, Harrington.” You bit out once you were far enough away from Tommy.
“Sure, no problem. You want me to walk you back upstairs or are you good?” Steve asked, cracking his can of New Coke. He didn’t love New Coke, but it was all the vending machine was serving and he was just desperate enough to drink it.
You sighed “No I’m alright, I’m still on break, so I’m just gonna go hide somewhere.”
“You can hide at Scoops.” Steve blurted. He mentally kicked himself in the ass, it was such a stupid idea. The upstairs stores had break rooms, you didn’t need to hide with him.
You raised an eyebrow, watching him carefully. Steve swallowed, finishing the thought “The place is busy enough as is and if Tommy walks in, well he already thinks something is happened with...us, he won’t try anything else.”
“Won’t your boss get mad if I’m in there, not eating ice cream?” you asked.
“Oh he’s never here. Me and Robin have keys so we switch between opening and closing. You’re totally good.” Steve explained, scuffing the toe of his shoe into the ground, making a black mark on the white and teal tiles.
“Robin...like Robin Buckley?” you asked, stopping dead in the middle of the hall.
“I think that’s her last name?” Steve replied, scrunching up his face in thought.
“Oh I can’t. She hates me. My friend Tammy told everyone in our sophomore year history class that she was weird and avoided her for like a month. I didn’t do shit, but you know, loyalties and shit.” You explained, running your hands through your hair, slightly embarrassed by the memory.
Steve thought for a moment, an idea slowly coming into view. “She won’t even know that you’re there, come on!” he said, grabbing your hand and dragging you off. You gasped, laughing as you ran to keep up with him.
Steve dragged you through the back halls and rooms leading behind the shops. You hadn’t been through the lower level’s back halls and they were much more expansive that the upstairs halls. The whole space still felt eerie, but much cooler than the upper level. Steve pulled you into one of the rooms and you spotted the nautical theming of the shop. Steve rushed and shut a divider themed with dark wood and glass bricks.
“There, she won’t know that you’re here and you can hide from Tommy. Easy.” Steve said proudly, hopping up on the ledge.
“Can’t she hear you talking to someone?” you chuckled, pulling out the awful plastic folding chair and sitting down.
“Eh, we’re busy enough for her to not notice or care. Probably think I’m talking to myself or something.”
You leaned back in your chair, letting the front legs of the chair raise into the air as you crossed your arms over your chest. “You talk to yourself a lot, Harrington?” you asked cheekily.
Steve shrugged “Only when I’m really trying to break something down.” He replied. You were surprised and a little refreshed by the honesty. You didn’t expect him to be honest with you; you expected him to lie or try to pull some cool line. It was nice that he wasn’t trying so hard.
“What about you? I bet you’re the stone silent type, keeping it all inside.” Steve added, leaning his elbows on his knees.
“You’re not wrong...” you grinned, cocking your head to the side. You let the front legs drop back down to the ground with a tinny smack, your arms unfurling themselves to balance yourself. “But I sing to myself all the time.”
Steve’s grin turned lopsided and you wondered what exactly what was going through his head. “Really?” he asked.
“Yeah...I find it calming. It helps me to focus my mind, sometimes it just a singular line of a song, over and over again until I get whatever I’m trying to do done.”
“Doing a lot of singing nowadays?”
You sighed “Pretty much...you doing a lot of talking?”
“All I do is talk now.”
You nodded to yourself, forcing the chair to turn towards Steve and centring yourself on it, resting your arms on your knees and looking up at him. “Alright, what’s happening with you?” you asked.
Steve turned away slightly “Ah geez...I mean haven’t you heard? I’m like the only guy who didn’t get into any colleges. I’m stuck here for another year, working and trying to get my shit together.” He ran his fingers angrily through his hair, ripping at the strands as if they hurt him personally.
“I mean...that fucking sucks. But you’ll be okay.” You replied “I mean, look on the bright side, you have another year to be something else.”
“What do you mean?” Steve asked, furrowing his brow.
“You get a fresh start in a world you already know. You don’t have to be the jerk everyone in school knew you as. And you don’t have to mope around either. You can just be...you.” You smiled to yourself over that answer. Steve had given you a hard puzzle to solve, and while you couldn’t solve it for him, you were glad to have an answer at all.
Steve chuckled, although he wasn’t sure why, nor did you. “Oh yeah? And who is me?” he asked.
You shrugged “I have no idea. I don’t think most people do.”
Steve’s expression changed to one you couldn’t read. He nodded to himself, leaning back onto the glass. He let out a deep sigh “Honestly? I don’t even know anymore...” That wasn’t a shock to you, but you didn’t say that out loud. Steve cracked a smirk “Who did you think I was?”
“Oh...I have no idea.” You leaned back in your chair, letting out a big breath “I didn’t really know you, just your reputation. I only knew the bad stuff, which made you seem like an asshole.”
Steve’s smile dropped and he looked away “Yeah...you aren’t the only one who thinks that...” he admitted sadly.
“But...I mean I didn’t have any proof till yesterday. That guy was a real asshole.” Steve’s face dropped further, but you didn’t try ease the blow you’d just sent him.
“Yeah...I’m sorry ‘bout that.” He muttered, looking up to finally meet your eye.
You nodded, sighing softly “It’s alright, no biggie. I get it now.” You said.
Steve found a small smile again “What do you think of this guy?” he asked, unashamed of the slightly embarrassing question.
You placed a finger on your chin, raising your eyes to the ceiling to truly think. “Hmm...I think I like this guy better.”
Steve smirked “Yeah?” he hopped off the ledge, inching towards you. You didn’t move, watching him stalk over to you.
“Just a little...” you pinched your finger and thumb together, showing an inch in between. “I’d like you more if you wore normal clothes.” Steve rolled his eyes, his hands coming cautiously to your face, pulling it up to kiss you. You didn’t resist his grab, easing yourself out of the chair, shoving your hands into your back pockets.
“Alright, what the hell is going on in there?!?!” The divider slammed against its sleeve violently and Steve snapped his head around. Robin was staring at you incredulously. She looked more than a little furious, but it melted away when you met her eye.
“Oh god, really dingus? Her?”  Robin scoffed. Steve merely shrugged, turning his attention back to you without a word.
“You mind shutting the divider, Buckley?” you asked “Harrington’s a bit busy...” you grabbed his fake tie, pulling his lips to yours, the sound of the divider slapping shut the only sound left in the room.

SPOILER ALERT: The story includes details about the season-finale episode of ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy. While it wasn’t the planned ending, tonight’s Season 16 finale of ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, written by Mark Driscoll and Tameson Duffy and directed by Deborah Pratt, was fitting. Indeed, this season was cut short due to the halting of production in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
You can’t be the longest-running medical drama on television without overcoming some challenges, and Grey’s already has proved its ability to pivot when the unexpected happens. The production shutdown was is the second major curveball for the show this season after original cast member Justin Chambers’ abrupt exit. No word on whether the four unproduced episodes from Season 16 will roll over to the next season. But this episode, titled “Put on a Happy Face,” had enough to tide us over until Season 17.
Let’s start on a positive highlight. After Richard (James Pickens Jr.) experienced hallucinations as well as a very intense and very public breakdown, fans feared that they might be losing another veteran Grey/Sloane surgeon. Determined not to accept his Alzheimer’s diagnosis, Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and Andrew DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti) worked around the clock to pinpoint the problem, with DeLuca coming through with a game-changing discovery: His dementia was a result of cobalt poisoning from a hip replacement surgery.
Not a hard fix. Dr. Link (Chris Carmack) was brought in to remove the cobalt, and it appears that Webber is on the road to recovery with his health. However, his marriage to Catherine is not out of the danger zone. Turns out the hallucinations had nothing to do with his marital discord. “Did you stand by me while I was being fired? You buy my hospital to humiliate me, or is that my mind playing tricks, too,” Webber contends before sternly kicking Catherine out of the room.
Meanwhile, DeLuca, who has been exhibiting erratic behavior and angry outbursts all season, isn’t able to bask in his incredible catch. Instead, has a breakdown of his own — signaling that it might be time to address his bipolar disorder-like symptoms, which are similar to his father’s.
DeLuca and Grey have become quite the medical duo this season but still couldn’t figure out how to make their romantic relationship work. It’s unclear where that will land next season as a new contender entered midseason — and he goes by the name of Dr. Cormac Hayes (Richard Flood). The two seem to have a connection, though it appears to be on a friendly level at this point (Hayes was a present sent to Meredith by “her person” Cristina Yang). Could this be the next Grey’s love triangle?
Elsewhere, Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) finally had her baby! And she opted not to have an epidural because she’s an addict, and the epidural has fentanyl in it. While baby daddy Link wasn’t able to be present during the birth (he was performing the surgery on Webber), she had fellow “pregnancy club” sister Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) by her side. The two share a tender moment when Bailey hops on the bed to support Amelia as she is giving birth, calling back to the time when late George O’Malley (T. R. Knight) did the same for Bailey during her labor back in Season 2.
Alas, not everyone got a happy ending. Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) and Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) were set to walk down the aisle, but Teddy needed her one last go-round with Tom Koracick (Greg Germann). Unbeknownst to her, she somehow recorded it and sent it to Owen, who had to endure the embarrassment of hearing it while in the OR surrounded by his colleagues. The wedding eventually is postponed, with Owen giving the excuse that he was pulled into surgery last-minute. In typical Grey’s fashion, there is never a wedding without drama.
Deadline spoke with Grey’s Anatomy showrunner Krista Vernoff, who unpacked the final episode, hinted at what’s to come next season and revealed what storylines she wished they were able to air this season. She also weighed in on the fan reactions to Alex Karev’s controversial exit.
DEADLINE: The Season 16 ender wasn’t what was expected, but like you said in your tweet, it was very satisfying, and a fitting Grey’s ending. How do you plan on carrying over the storyline to next season, or is there a plan to carry over the storyline from the last four episodes to next season? KRISTA VERNOFF: I have not formulated that plan yet. In about four weeks, I’m going to get in a room with the writers, and we’re going to talk about all of it. I know that a lot us are having brainstorms since we have so much time at home. A lot of us are texting each other, and going, “Oh, what if we did this? What if we do that?” So I have a feeling that their stories are going to change some, from what we had planned, and that we’ll repurpose some of what we had written and use it in the early episodes of Season 17.
DEADLINE: The production shut down was the second major curveball for the show, after Justin Chambers’ exit. What were your thoughts on the reaction to his exit?VERNOFF: Well, you know, I haven’t been commenting on this much, but I just did an Instagram Live where I said that, so, I’ll say it to you too. I believe that there would’ve been at least as big an outcry if we had killed that character off-camera, and those were our choices. It was kill the character off-camera, or come up with some believable way that he gets his happily ever after, and some of the fans have posited, ‘well he could have just been off-screen in Seattle like April Kepner, but then you’ve got an actress on the show who doesn’t get to do any of the fun, sexy, playful thrill that we’re known for, then you penalize the actors who are staying on the show by limiting what you could do creatively with them. So I was really proud of that episode. I think Elisabeth Finch did an extraordinary job with a nearly impossible task.
That episode made me cry. It made me laugh. I felt really deeply. I felt satisfaction, and I will say that I have received a great many comments from fans who felt the same way, but the angry people are always the loudest ones.
I wasn’t surprised by the fan reaction, but I know it would’ve been equally angry if I had killed him — so it was like, these are your choices, and I felt really happy with what we chose.
DEADLINE: The fact that you didn’t kill the character off also leaves the door open that we might see them in the future. So is there any chance of [Justin Chambers] or Katherine Heigl, ever coming back? VERNOFF: When I left the show in Season 7, people asked me if there was any chance of me ever coming back, and I was smart enough to say, “Never say never.” Here I am, so who knows?
DEADLINE: Jo was able to accept Alex’s decision in a short amount of time and come to terms with everything. Did that have anything to do with her character’s stint in the psychiatric hospital, at the beginning of the season? VERNOFF: Yes. Jo had had such a dramatic, emotional, painful arc, the second half of Season 15. None of the writers, frankly, none of us wanted to see her go back down into a hole. One of the things about the way the character was written off is that she had a lot of time to wonder, and to fear the worst, and I have found in life that when you have a lot of time to wonder and fear the worst, then when you get an answer, even if it’s terrible news, it feels better than not knowing. And it helps you move on, more quickly.
DEADLINE: I want to just touch on Richard’s illness. Is it safe to say that he’s out of the danger zone? Also, did his illness contribute to anything that had to do with his relationship with Catherine? And what can we expect from that couple in the future? We’ll start with the illness — is he in the safe zone now that they’ve caught it early and treated it? VERNOFF: Yes, and I thought that that was one of the most amazing things about this diagnosis was that the cobalt poisoning thing is real and it really can cause all of those symptoms. It can cause dementia-like symptoms. It can cause Parkinson’s-like symptoms —  tremors, hallucinations — and the amazing thing about it is that once you diagnose it, and you get the leaky hip out of your body, you can recover, totally. That felt, just as the storyteller, an amazing thing because it let us give Jim Pickens this really rich, rich material, without us having to permanently disable his character. I think that that was an amazing ride for the fans, because the outcry of we’re showing symptoms that don’t feel like they have cures.
There’s not really a cure for Parkinson’s. There’s not a cure for Alzheimer’s. So I know everyone was in a panic, and so, we got to tell this really satisfying story, and we got to let people know that sometimes, there’s another diagnosis for those symptoms, which we found fascinating, as a group of writers who write medicine, that it’s so rare to see something this satisfying.
DEADLINE: Did the symptoms from the cobalt poisoning have anything to do with his attitude toward Catherine? What’s in store for them? Can we still hold out hope for that couple? VERNOFF: I think you can always hold out hope for any couple on Grey’s Anatomy. You never know where it’s going, and I think that the way we designed this was that the fracture, the real fracture in Catherine and Richard’s relationship predated the cobalt poisoning.
So the way we imagined it was that, with the depression, everyone thought it was related to his divorce, and it was actually a symptom of cobalt poisoning. And then the tremors were a symptom of cobalt poisoning, and then the hallucinations, so that when he forgave her, he forgave her in a hallucination. And when he was well, he remembered the actual events from his life, for which he has not yet forgiven her. The reason that I hold out most for that couple is that Catherine rediscovered her deep and profound love for Richard when she almost lost him. I think that that may enable her to apologize in the way that Richard will need to hear.
DEADLINE: Speaking of forgiveness, in true Grey’s fashion, there’s never a wedding without any drama, as we saw with Teddy and Owen. We’ve seen their relationship woes throughout the series, and this season felt like they were going to finally get it together and find each other and have their happy ending. Why haven’t they quite found that happy ending, and can Owen forgive Teddy? VERNOFF: I think that those are questions that we will have to explore in Season 17. I will say that of all the storylines that were left hanging, that is the one that I was the most disappointed about. Actually, there were two: I’m disappointed that I cannot give Teddy — we had an episode coming up where we were able to better articulate and better understand what’s prompting Teddy’s behavior, and we don’t get to air it. Who knows, maybe it’s going to change between now and when we’ll actually shoot it for Season 17, but I feel for Kim Raver. The amount of standing is high, and we’ve left her in a strange place. It’s compelling, and why? Your question is big. Why? Why would she sabotage — why, when she was finally getting her happy ending, did she sabotage it? I think it’s the super-rich area personally.
And then the other story that I was really disappointed that we couldn’t complete — and I will tell you that I haven’t told this to anyone else, but we did a story where there as a victim of human trafficking, like two episodes ago, and DeLuca we got recognized it but he was in such a mentally compromised, manic state that nobody listened to him and the girl left. We had an episode where she comes back, and I am really sad that we can’t air that episode this season because it felt important to offer that kind of hope to people who are living that experience. I may still complete that story next season.
DEADLINE: I want to touch on DeLuca, who has gone through this really rocky journey with Meredith this season. Although they haven’t really been able to figure out their personal relationship, they’ve proven to be a great medical team. What can you tease about this couple? Last season, we talked about Meredith being ready for love. What can we tease about this couple in the future? Is somebody else going to throw a wrench in everything? Somebody by the name of Hayes? VERNOFF: There is hope for Meredith and DeLuca, and I think that there is hope for Meredith and Hayes. I will be fascinated to see how that storytelling emerges in season 17 because this story played in a way that I didn’t picture. You know, you write a thing, and then the actors play it, and then it gets all put together, and then you know what the story is. You don’t know how it’s going to play when you write it. It’s been amazing for me to watch this story this season. I feel like Giacomo has been so compelling, and DeLuca has risen so much, and simultaneously, Hayes has been really compelling and feels very much like Meredith’s equal. At this point, I’, not even sure which couple I’m rooting for, and that’s always an exciting thing.
DEADLINE: Yeah. We love our love triangles on Grey’s. VERNOFF: Yeah. Yeah.
DEADLINE: One couple might have found their happy ending, it seems, is Amelia and Link. The birth of the baby was such a nice ending to a season full of ups and downs. Was that one thing you were excited about? To see Amelia who had her complications with her first pregnancy, and this one turned out fine. VERNOFF: Yeah. I love that story and I am so grateful that … we got to air it this season. It would’ve been really a bummer if we hadn’t made it there, this season. So, that was just luck and I’m grateful that it was in that episode. I love that scene where Bailey gets in the bed with Amelia, and we call back to when George got in the bed with Bailey and it’s just so beautiful. It was pitched by Meg Mooney, who’s been with the show for 15 years. It made me cry when she pitched it, and it makes me cry every time I watch it. I, like everyone else, at this point really am loving Link and Amelia, and I was so happy. That ending for them felt so hard won this season.
DEADLINE: Is the next season being envisioned as the final season since it’s the second of the two-year pickup, or are you guys having conversations about potentially more seasons? VERNOFF: You know, what I always say to this question, is my answer again today, and that is: I will not start planning the end of Grey’s Anatomy until Shonda [Rhimes] and Ellen and ABC all sit down together, tell me that this really the end this time. The truth is those conversations might be being had if we weren’t dealing with a global pandemic, but everyone’s gone home, and I suspect we’ll start talking about that in a month, or two.
DEADLINE: Speaking of this global pandemic, obviously Grey’s is known for taking things that are happening in the world, and incorporating it into the series. Are there any plans to reflect on this current pandemic on the show for next season? VERNOFF: I haven’t had a minute yet to sit with the writers and talk about it. So, we’re all at home, and we’re on hiatus, but in about four weeks, we’ll gather, and we’ll talk about it. I have a hard time imagining that we don’t have to acknowledge this massive thing that we’ve all gone through, in our fictional world, too, but I have no idea how. I don’t know what it’s going to look like.
DEADLINE: Station 19 — we still have more episodes coming with that series. Are we going to see any of the Grey’s characters in the final couple of episodes? VERNOFF: Yes. Happily, yes, you are. The Grey’s characters are all over the last two episodes of Station 19. So, that is a really nice treat for the fans, too. Many of our Grey’s characters are in Episodes 15 or 16 on Station 19.

Oh definitely Mistfall! I love how unique it is, I love the aesthetic and the music, it’s so beautiful, as a non sr I’m sad I can’t visit it anymore. I would genuinely just log on and ride around, listening to the music. So yeah, I love mistfall
Hmmm, Favourite Region? I think Golden Hills, is my favourite area!
Horseshoe -Create a new Jorvik Wild Horse.
How about a pony? Not like a zony pony but a fiery little pony!
Tumblr media
Valley -Show us a memory of when you were new to the island.
Tumblr media
I had… SUCH bad taste…
Storm -When were you most surprised during your journey?
Uuuh when SSO legitimately locked ¾ of the soul riders IN somewhere. Like? Inside a castle, inside a vortex[?], inside pandoria. I realised how without the pretty aestetics and the cover of a childrens game it’d be pretty dark.
Tree -What kind of friendships have you made?
honestly, I used to talk to so many people inside the game, less so now. But I’ve met people with the some really cool ideas via discord (shout out to the dark core fanclub & writers on jorvik, y’all are all really cool)
I’ve made friends with the most unlikely people! Some architects, druids, a crazy baker (who’s pie is… interesting). Mainly with Justin (which annoys loretta, a lot.) we’ve bonded over how sudden Jorvik went from a beautiful place of hints of magical to full blown fantasy with really weird events. He’s pretty cool.
Crane -Which Circle of magic was easiest for you to learn?
honestly? Because I was younger at the time, I found some of the tasks really hard for the circles. I think the sun circle had some of the easier quests though!
Lightning, for sure. Whilst I know Alex is often using offense with it, I was taught how to use it in a defensive manner, in respondents to my soul strike. Next I would say is the star circle, moon and then sun.
Sparrow-What do you dream of seeing added to the world?
More lore!! Lore is a fundamental part of the game, and im happy to see Catherine’s diary but just more infomation?? I know the you cannot dump infomation on people in a game, but I love learning about anything.
I think it’d also be cool to see another thing or two for non-sr.
et voila! I’ll be posting Cycle in it’s own post, since there’s 4 characters to draw, and i want it to stand out! Happy playing <3

Day 24: “It’s not your fault.” #twdgdrabblechallenge
Note:  Whenever I don’t know what to write about for a prompt, my brain goes to “Hmm, how can I make this either about clouis or Mitch?” and today my brain chose Mitch and his little adventures of slowly discovering something about himself and then repressing it. Also, birds.
AO3
---
It’s the movement that catches his attention. Earthy hues with dark specks, a shade that blends well in with the woods and its dirt pathway. The tiny bird hops over patches of grass and broken sticks as if she has springs in those dainty feet, graceful and quiet.
Mitch watches it peck at the ground, mouth twisting as he wracks his brain for the name of it.
The kicks of a pebble bouncing past his scares off the bird, so Mitch watches it take to the sky and disappear within the trees.
From behind him, Justin sighs. Again.
It’s irritating.
He’s a sad sight, really, so Mitch can’t be too pissed at him. Shoulders hunched and arms crossed, a pout cemented on his expression and tear in his left sleeve- it’s that jacket Mitch ripped last year and never apologized for but it’d be weird to apologize for it now, so he doesn’t bring it up- and dark, unkept curls flying out in every direction, Justin’s a damn mess.
Then again, what else is new?
Mitch moves towards him, but Justin barely acknowledges him with a glance, so Mitch yanks on the torn sleeve.
Justin jerks his arm away with a weak, “Stop.”
“Then stop being a baby.”
“Fuck you.”
“Fuck you.”
That makes him grin, shaking his head and bumping Mitch’s shoulder as he pushes past. Mitch follows, trailing close enough for their arms to brush as they walk through the woods.
Laughter emits somewhere through the trees, probably Louis and Marlon fucking around while resetting traps. Justin hears it, too, judging by the way his soft grin immediately dies into a scowl. It’s almost comical.
“Who shit in your cereal this morning?” Mitch asks casually, even though he already knows the answer. Maybe if Justin just freaks out about it some more, then he’ll get over it and then he won’t be so damn sulky. “You’re bumming me out.”
“Oh, I’m bumming you out? My bad, guess I’ll just go fuck myself-”
“Shut up,” Mitch rolls his eyes, grabbing at Justin’s sleeve to keep him from walking off. “Jesus, what’s the matter with you?”
They walk in silence until they come upon the fishing shack and the river. Mitch grabs the spears, taking note of a broken one lying across the table. Snapped in half, probably from someone’s enthusiasm in stabbing fish. Probably Ruby’s doing.
Justin sighs loudly and Mitch wants to wack him with the end of the spear, but that notion goes away when he sees what Justin’s staring at.
V + M
“...Why doesn’t she like me?”
“What?” Mitch answers stupidly, scratching behind his ear nervously as he approaches the carving.
“Minnie,” Justin offers. “Why doesn’t she like me?”
This shit again- how was he supposed to know? What was it that Justin wanted him to say?
He wants to say, “Dude, who cares? She and Vi are a thing now. Get over it.”
But, he doesn’t.
“Probably because you tried to french her.”
“Geez, I didn’t try to french her,” Justin rolls his eyes, a hint of a smile betraying his lips. “It was going to be a perfectly innocent, tongueless first kiss. She was gonna love it.”
“Oh yeah, I’m sure.”
“I was going to dip her during the dance. Super romantic.”
Mitch snorts. “You would’ve dropped her.”
“Piss off, no I wouldn’t’ve,” Justin argues, frowning. “Besides, you don’t french until the third date anyway.”
Mitch scoffs, “That a rule?”
“Yeah.”
“And if you break it?”
“You die.”
“You die?”
Justin smirks, voice going cracky and high as he wiggles his fingers in Mitch’s face, “If you french before the third date, Satan will come up and bite your dick off!”
“Holy shit!” Mitch laughs, knocking the fingers out of his face. “What the fuck, dude? Who told you that?”
“Sorry,” Justin giggles. “My bro told me that once after Ma gave me ‘The Talk.’ Had nightmares about it for a week.”
“Seriously?”
“Yeah,” Justin points at the floorboards beneath the bed before flopping down on it. “He’d come up from down there- this big fucking skeleton with red robes and a mustache- and get me while I was sleeping. I wasn’t even frenching anybody!”
The laughter continues to bubble over in Mitch’s chest as he says with nothing but fondness, “You’re a little weirdo, y’know that?”
Justin doesn’t shoot back an insult, he only sighs once more and spreads himself out across the bed, staring up at the broken ceiling.
“Maybe I am a weirdo,” he says, “is that why?”
Mitch was hoping they had strayed far away from that, but apparently not.
When he stares at the initials trapped within a heart, it’s strange. Well, it makes him feel strange, with thoughts of why the hell would they do that for everyone to see? and why did they want to do that?
“It’s not your fault she doesn’t like you,” Mitch mumbles. “You know that, right?”
“It’s Violet’s fault.”
“No, dumbass,” Mitch rolls his eyes, exasperated. “It’s no one’s fault.”
“It’s gross.”
“What, Vi and Minnie? Yeah, but so is frenching and all the other shit you do.”
“No, I mean-” Justin sits up, staring down at his hands. “It’s weird that they’re both girls, right?”
Mitch hesitates, a thought bursting in his mind. A memory of his brother Alex, and his friend- some dude on the football team? He couldn’t remember that much- sitting at the kitchen table, talking in whispers about something that happened at school and the words come out on their own.
“Better two girls than two dudes.”
Justin makes a face. “Definitely.”
“It doesn’t matter,” Mitch frowns. “Minnie and Vi are a thing now.”
“God,” Justin groans. “I’m so- I’m so much better than her, though. Like, outta everybody at Ericson, she chooses to be with Violet?”
“Maybe it’s because you’re an asshole.”
“Am I wrong, though?”
“Yes,” Mitch wants to say, “you are wrong because Minnie obviously would rather kiss Violet than you, would rather dance and hold hands and do all that gross shit with her instead of you because you’re a jerk who says and does mean things to everyone because, for some reason, you think it’ll make you feel better about- about whatever the hell it is that bothers you. She’s with Violet, not you. Minnie doesn’t like you because you only want to show the bad. Why the fuck do you hide the good? What’s wrong with the good? I know it’s in there, I’ve fucking seen it, so what the fuck is the fucking problem, Justin?”
“...Whatever, dude. Grab your spear and let’s go.”

Something New
Author’s Note: I thought I should announce my return to Tumblr with a new imagine, and what better prompt to respond to than Lynn’s new hair! Thank you all very much for your enduring patience and your well-wishes. It feels incredible to have your support behind me. As always, take care. Xx
Prompted: “Can you do one about or with Lynn’s new hair?! Love your writing btw :3”
//
“I think it’s time to change up my hair,” Lynn says, out of the blue.
Alex stops fingerpicking, and the soft peals of his music fade into the silence. Brian looks up from his laptop— even the cat curled on top of a heating pad in the corner uncurls for a second, and fixes Lynn with a stare.
“Oh yeah?” You say, and tuck away the book that you’ve been reading to give her your full attention.
Lynn appears to falter for a second, caught in the midst of all that attention, but she recovers quickly.
“Yeah,” she says, and there’s a hint of a smile playing at her lips. It’s wistful.
“The AWKOHAWNOH era is over,” she says, and enunciates the letters like a practised pro, “And I want to show that we’re entering the next stage of our music.”
You nod. “New music, new you; something like that?”
“A new haira!” Brain says, and closes his laptop screen for a second. “Like a ‘hair-era’.”
Your smile widens a fraction, and Alex tosses Brian a grin before settling his attention back on Lyndsey.
“Yeah,” Lynn says, and there’s a ripple across her shoulders; the muscles relax. “I mean, AWKOHAWNOH represented a really important period in our lives— and even though there were some hard times, we’ve learnt a lot as well. And now, we’re ready to move on and look forward.”
She’s verbose, more than usual, but her words still carry the silent weight of someone who’s considered what to say. You feel for her hand without breaking eye contact.
She smiles when your fingers brush, and grins in earnest when they tangle together.
“Have you thought about what you’d like to do?” Alex says, and his fingers begin to move again across the fretboard.
Lynn’s eyes flicker somewhere far away, but they snap back quickly.
“I think I’d like to cut it some,” she says, and holds up a spread index finger and thumb to indicate how much. “And I think I’d like to dye it back to my original colour.”
You pause for a second, considering. Lynn’s white hair is almost as renowned as she is— spawning tumblrs and instagrams and entire twitter accounts to pay homage.
You’ve always thought it a bit strange, but fans all process Lynn in their own ways. You know, better than most, the effect Lynn Gunn has on the average person.
You look at her and try to imagine her old colour, and her hair a little shorter. It’s a little difficult to consolidate those two versions of Lynn into the person sitting beside you— for you, she’s always existed apart from her appearance. Trying to suddenly seperate the two turns out to be much harder than you thought.
Nevertheless, you find yourself smiling at her— the private kind of smile you usually reserve for the two of you. It’s unbridled, entirely too sappy; and Lynn melts a little when she sees you smiling it.
“That’ll look badass, Lynn,” you say, and Lynn fills into her bones with a vulnerable kind of pride.
“It’s your emotional territory,” Alex says, then, and a smile breaks out on his lips, “But we support you 100% of the way, Lyndsey.”
Brian nods along. After a second, you spot the glint in his eye.
“Should I call Justin and get him to do some concept art for the album?” He jokes, and the room erupted into chuckles and half-laughs.
The cat curls back up, seemingly satisfied the matter has been resolved, and Lynn’s hands tangle a little tighter with yours.
//
Several days later, you’re the one standing outside the hairdresser’s door, waiting in half-anxiety and half-excitement for Lynn’s new hairdo.
There’s several unread texts lit up in your Notification Centre— Alex and Brian are both chomping at the bit for news. You’ve already promised them diligence in this matter— you all agree it’s arguably the most important thing to happen in the new year.
Lynn was surprisingly nervous before the appointment, you recall, with hands that wouldn’t stop trembling. As relieved as she was to move on from her white hair, she also seemed to desperate to keep it.
You can understand both sides— the AWKOHAWNOH era has been one of struggle and immense self-realisation. Lynn has lost herself somewhere at the beginning, and spent years trying to find herself again. You’ve had tough times, and you’ve had the very best of them, too.
Especially towards the end, whether you were on tour or at home— Lynn was happier. She seemed to sit securely in her skin. You’d had some of your best times with her during this era— and now that was all becoming something of the past. A fixture in your history.
You were going to miss it, of course, but you also couldn’t wait to make more memories with the Lynn who was about to step outside.
And the moment she does, you’re lost for words.
She’s beautiful, of course, but there’s something magnetising about this newer version of her. Intoxicating.
Her hair’s been cut much shorter, hanging about the tops of her shoulder. It’s been dyed brown, bleach no longer necessary, and identical to the colour she used to wear it. The hairdresser has straightened her hair, too, and tied half of the top layer back into a cute little topknot.
But further than that— her eyes are glimmering with something barely-restrained. There’s a wild joy in her eyes, something that screams impulse but also careful thought. She’s so unreservedly happy in this moment that you’re almost afraid of touching her and breaking the spell.
It doesn’t matter, because she comes to you and kisses you in the middle of the street.
Almost immediately, your hands find the sides of her face and the hinge of her jaw, pressing at the corner with a light touch that makes her hum. Lynn smiles into the kiss, and it becomes messy, but you’re laughing and she’s laughing and everything is alright.
She breaks away, too soon, and looks at you. You wish you could save this moment and hog it, selfishly, to savour whenever you wanted.
“How does it look?” She asks, and a little bit of that old vulnerability creeps in.
In answer, you bend her mouth back to yours, and kiss her.
She responds just as easily as before— easier, still, as the non-verbal approval translates into the movement of your lips across hers.
You tangle your fingers in her brand new hair as you kiss. It’s smooth and lovely and entirely unchartered territory, and you become painfully aware that could lose yourself in this kiss.
Lynn seems to realise, too, and she slows the kiss before it can get out of hand. You’re still in public.
(you can’t wait to get out of it)
“I’m glad you like it,” she says, after a moment. You look at her; unbridled love and affection tinges everything rose.
“Me? Gosh— don’t worry about me!” You exclaim, and almost kiss her again, “How do you like it?”
Lynn smiles, a small smile she reserves for herself and her own happiness. She runs a hand through her hair and watches it between her fingers.
“I love it,” she says.
“I love you,” you say, and watch Lynn’s eyes snap to yours, “And you’re so beautiful, Lynn.”
The smile on Lynn’s lips shifts; it blooms and becomes a 1000 lux brighter. You begin to doubt the need for a sun.
“I love you, too,” she says, and moves forward to plant a final, lovely kiss on your lips.
“We should go show Brian and Alex,” she says, after a second.
You chortle a laugh, and show her the 36 messages she’s missed in the group chat. They’re all from Brian and Alex, and they all involve some form of question about her new hair.
Lynn reads them, and laughs. Somewhere in the middle, she takes your hand.
“We should go and put them out of their misery,” you agree.
Lynn just laughs, and tugs you over to the car.

Love on the brain (Part 10)
Hey guys, enjoy the chapter :) the song in the chapter is "Sexy Back" by Justin Timberlake. Sorry for any mistakes.
The chapter is also up on Ao3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/17576201/chapters/42671246
“Okay who is ready to paaaaartyyyy?” Erin hollers intoxicated. As the evening got by there was lots of time to fill up their tanks with the cocktails, which were so good that Bati claimed they must have been ‘straight from heaven’. So, it’s no surprise that everybody is slightly or some definitely tipsy when they leave the restaurant.
“I think this is our cue to go home.” Kelley’s dad says, looking at Alex’s parents and his wife. The look on his face and the way he is shoving his hands in his pockets causes Alex to smile. If Kelley is in a situation, she doesn’t want to be in, she does it the same way. They all say their goodbyes to the parents and decide to go to a club right across the street that looks pretty fancy. There is a huge line of people waiting in front of the entrance and the group is stopping to wait in line as well. Apparently, the club is pretty popular and also packed because of the holidays. After a minute or so of standing in line, Alex ends her conversation with her sister and turns around, facing the others. The group is now standing in a circle and Alex is surprised to discover that her fiancée is gone.
“Hey, has anybody seen Kelley?” Alex asks furrowing her eyebrows.
“No, I thought she was with you.” Allie says, while everybody starts turning their heads, searching for Kelley. However, just a moment later Kelley, walks up to them with a huge grin on her face.
“Ah, there she is.” Jerry says, pointing in her direction.
“What did you do? Why are you smirking again?” Erin rolls her eyes.
“Come on guys, we don’t have all night.” Kelley says motioning for the group to follow her.
“Babe, I thought we wanted to go in?” Alex asks, pointing to the line in front of them.
“Yeah, we are, what are you guys waiting for?” Kelley grins.
“Kel, that’s one of the most popular clubs in New York, you can’t just walk in there.” Bati points out.
“Uhh, Bati? I think she’s not.” Alex says slowly, the meaning of the look on Kelley’s face beginning to dawn on her.
“Yeah, no, I’m not. So, I once knew this guy and apparently, he now owns this club and long story short, we don’t have to wait in line.” Kelley says, holding up a bunch of wristbands for the VIP area. All heads turn to look at Alex questioningly, who holds her hands up cluelessly.
“Don’t look at me guys, life with her is still a surprise every day.”
“We know that feeling.” Erin reassures Alex, motioning between Jerry and her.
“Yeah, and we share the same DNA.” Jerry says concerned.
“Actually, we don’t. Biologically seen we only share the same DNA to some extent, let’s say about 50%. The other chromosomes-”
“OH MY GOD, SHUT UP WORMS.” Allie groans loudly, interrupting Kelley and knocking her elbow into her ribcage.
“Aaaalright, who’s up to party?” Kelley asks excitedly.
“Hell yes!” Jen’s husband exclaims.
“Man, Kelley that’s just fucking dope.” Jeri says.
“You, my friend, are a legend.” Bati says, grabbing Kelley’s shoulder impressed. After everybody expressed their appreciation and excitement they start to walk towards the entrance. Kelley waits to go in last, so everybody gets past the bouncer. Alex waits for Kelley in the entrance area, smiling at her, shaking her head.
“What?” Kelley grins.
“You are an enigma.”
“I hope in a good kinda way.”
“You’re all the things in a good kinda way.” Alex grins, leaning closer, biting her lip.
“Oh, am I?” Kelley says, looking at Alex’s lips. Alex looks at Kelley’s lips as well, nodding while closing the distance. When they pull away their gazes meet and their smiles get brighter.
“By the way, that’s such a Kelley thing to say.” Alex says.
“What is?”
“That thing about chromosomes and the DNA.”
“It’s true, tough. They are just dumb.” Kelley says seriously.
“Such a Kelley thing to say, again.”
“Sorry.” Kelley chuckles.
“Don’t apologize, I love it when you say stuff like that. You’re smart, it’s sexy.”
“In that case, that dress you’re wearing would look even hotter accelerating towards my bedroom floor at 9.8 m/s2” Kelley says with a sexy voice.
“Oh yeah, talk dirty to me.” Alex says going in for another kiss. Kelley winks at her, while Alex takes Kelley’s hand in her own, pulling her towards the group, which is already walking down the hallway. When they enter the club it’s just as packed as it looks from outside. The club is lit in light neon blue and the furniture is all white, making everything look rather expensive. If you’d asks Alex the atmosphere somehow is pretty sexy, people are dancing close to each other and the music the DJ is playing underlines that. However, she’s not sure if that’s just the drinks talking. Somehow, Kelley’s acquaintance managed to clear a table for them and now they gather around it. Jen and her husband, as well as Erin, Kristy, Jerry and Allie sit down on the white leather sofa, that is lit at the bottom with blue light as well. Around the table boxes of some kind of very expensive champagne were converted into bar stools. Alex sits down next to Allie on the white sofa, while Jeri and Bati sit down on the boxes. Kelley stands in front of the table, waiting for everyone to settle down. Alex looks up at her pouting, holding out her hand for Kelley to take and motioning to come sit with her. Kelley takes her hand, but remains standing nonetheless, wanting to go to the bar first. Looking at Alex she knows that her drunkenness has reached the needy stage.
“Guys, drinks?” Kelley smirks, wiggling her eyebrows.
“Yeah, let me help you.” Bati says, getting up.
“Babe, you want anything specific?” Kelley asks leaning down, so she can hear her over the music.
“I’m fine with whatever you’re getting, but thanks.” she says, giving her a peck.
“Oh, so Alex can choose something specific and we have to drink whatever?” Allie smirks teasingly.
“All it takes is a kiss.” Kelley says, puckering her lips and moving towards Allie, who pushes her away.
“You’re so annoying.”
“Karma is a bitch, Long.”
“You’re a bitch.” Allie counters and her laughter is interrupted by the look on Alex’s face, her mouth agape and her eyes giving her a look of ‘You did not seriously say that.’. Kelley watches Allie freeze mid-laughter, looking at Alex guiltily. Kelley laughs loudly at the interaction.
“And you say I’m whipped.” she chuckles.
“You guys are such a shit show. I swear one day, I’ll kill the both of you.” Alex rolls her eyes. Kelley and Bati make their way to the bar inside the VIP section and order a huge bottle of rum and some drinks to mix it with, as well as a round of shots. Alex can’t seem to keep her eyes off of Kelley, who walks through the VIP area confidently. To Alex Kelley always looks amazing, so much even that she sometimes thinks it becomes a serious problem when she needs to get work done or when they are fighting about something and a look at Kelley makes her forget why she way angry. However, tonight is one of those nights, where something about her just screams extra sexy with a big exclamation mark. Apparently, she isn’t the only one thinking that her fiancée looks stunning. Kelley is attracting the attention of both men and women all around the club. The gazes are following her everywhere and to be honest Alex can’t stand it, but she lets it go for the moment. Kelley and Bati carry the ice bucket with the drinks over to the table and Jeri gets up to help them with the shots.
“To the best year that’s yet to come.” Alex says, raising her shot to the middle of the table, looking at Kelley intently. Everybody grabs a shot and moves it to the middle so all the glasses are clinking together.
“To 2019!” Jeri shouts, while everyone hollers.
“To the best that’s yet to come.” Kelley whispers, looking at Alex, their gazes holding, while everybody already chugs down the shot. They both clink their glasses again and chug it down as well. Alex grimaces at the taste.
“Wooo.” Kelley exclaims, shaking at the taste. This attracts the attention of one particular girl from the table right next to them again, who tries to make eye-contact with Kelley, smiling flirtatiously. The girl immediately was a thorn in Alex’s flesh, because she has been shamelessly checking Kelley out ever since they stepped foot in the club. Alex leans forward slightly, giving her some serious side-eye, but she’s so focused on Kelley that she doesn’t see Alex’s warning looks. The girl tries to get her attention by playing around with straw in her drink, moving it in her mouth, while eyeing Kelley intensely. Like always, Kelley is totally unaware of the looks she’s receiving. She is distracted by Allie urging her to tell the story about how one time at camp she shattered a window, trying to proof that she could do handstand push-ups. After Kelley finally told the story and everybody laughed loudly, she is looking over to Alex, who has gotten rather impassive over the last 10 minutes.
“What’s up with that look on your face, pretty girl?” Kelley yells over the bass, pulling her stool closer to Alex, putting her hand on her knee.
“That girl at the table next to us, and don’t look, is undressing you with her eyes.”
“Bullshit, she’s probably only watching my gorgeous fiancée, in which case I can’t blame her.”
Alex rolls her eyes at Kelley.
“What? Or maybe she likes my shoes.”
“Kel, you’re fucking hot.” Alex states with a hint of aggressiveness.
“Ehm? Thanks?”
“I think you tend to forget, that you are really sexy. There are thousands, if not millions of people, who would bang you without any question or even a hello, 350 of which are in this club right now and there are only about 400 in here. Don’t act as if this girl is only eying you constantly since we step in, because she likes your damn shoes. And now give me a kiss, before I go over there and cause a scene.”
While Alex talks Kelley watches her face closely, looking for any sign of a joke, but she doesn’t find it. Therefore, she knows not to question what Alex is requesting, not that she would either way, but whatever. Kelley leans in and starts kissing Alex sensually, not only giving her a kiss, but fully making out with her, to which Alex complies happily. The kiss is lasting quiet a while and turns pretty steamy.
“Gosh, get a room Kellex. What are you? Horny 16-year olds?” Allie jokes. However, with getting harassed by their teammates constantly, they don’t even bother acknowledging a word that is leaving Allie’s mouth, but instead keep on kissing, until it’s getting too excessive. By the time they pull away, everyone is already minding their own business again.
“You’re mine.” Alex claims in the close proximity of Kelley’s lips.
“Possessive much, huh?”
“Only a tiny bit.”
“I see.”
Alex leans in for a short, sweet kiss, smiling into it. Kelley grins at her brightly, the smile making Alex forget, why they were kissing in the first place. Their attention is drawn towards the rest of the group, when Jerry starts pouring them a new round of drinks. For the next hour or so, they all fuel their bodies with plenty more drinks and after a while there is no denying that everybody is not only tipsy, but definitely drunk now. They left the table a while ago and are dancing on the dancefloor ecstatically, the mood getting more and more exuberant by the minute.
“I’ll be right back, you need anything?” Kelley yells in Alex’s ear. Alex shakes her head in response.
“No, thank you.”
Kelley makes her way to the bar. The DJ plays some throwback songs and Alex and Allie scream the lyrics to David Guetta’s ‘Memories’ loudly, while jumping around with all the others. Arriving at the bar, Kelley orders another Rum and Coke. The bartender, gives her a nod and starts making the drink. Kelley turns around and leans against the bar, smiling, watching her fiancée having a blast with her friends and family. A hand on her shoulder pulls her out of thoughts.
“Hey, can I buy you a drink?”
Kelley turns towards the voice and is met with a girl, looking like some kind of model, who is eyeing her up and down.
“Thanks, I’m good.” Kelley says shaking her head, turning back around, watching Alex.
“You sure? You look thirsty.” the girl says into Kelley’s ear, lowering her voice. Kelley turns around yet another time.
“Look, you probably are a nice person, but I got a fiancée.”
“So?”
“Okay, you aren’t a nice person. That’s okay.” Kelley says in an indifferent tone, turning away again. Her gaze is meeting Alex’s, who is looking at her questioningly. Kelley, rolls her eyes at the girl next to her and waves it off, gesturing for Alex not to worry about it.
“I live right around the corner, we could just go there. Your fiancée doesn’t have to know.”
Kelley doesn’t really listen to a word the girl is saying, she just looks in Alex’s direction, seeing something she doesn’t like.
“Dude, what’s taking so long?” Kelley says to the bartender. The bartender looks at her apologetically.
“I know you want to.” the girl insists.
“Rum and Coke!” the bartender calls. Kelley grabs her drink and when she takes a step in Alex’s direction the girl is blocking her way.
“Or maybe you could just bring your fiancée.” the girl says biting her lip. Kelley watches her attempt to look sexy emotionlessly. When Alex does something like that, it’s driving her nuts, but looking at this girl, who is doubtlessly very pretty, she feels nothing at all.
“Okay listen, I appreciate the compliment, but I’m really not interested. See, I asked the most amazing girl in the whole wide world to marry me and she said yes. So, you may understand that all I ‘want’ is to get back to her. And if you don’t, that’s not my problem.”
Kelley walks past her determined, shaking her head. She makes her way through the crowd, but Alex is nowhere to be seen. She doesn’t come far until a hand is grabbing her shoulder yet again. Kelley turns her head to see Alex, who is looking at her concerned.
“Everything okay?”
“Yeah, just a very persistent girl making an offer.”
“What kind of offer?”
“First it was a drink, then sex and after that she even offered for you to come.”
“Oh my god, I can’t even let you walk to a bar alone?! Where is she???” Alex asks fumingly.
“Babe, ignore it, I told her off.”
“Ugh, going to a club with you is exhausting.”
“Look who’s talking.” Kelley says raising an eyebrow.
“You’re exaggerating.” Alex says innocently, looking anywhere but Kelley’s eyes, knowing damn well that she is right.
“Alex, we are here for a little over an hour and I told 5 people to leave you alone. I don’t call that exaggerating. And don’t think I didn’t see you holding up your engagement ring to number 6, while I was at the bar.”
“How the fuck did you see that? You were talking to that girl.”
“Concerning you I see everything.”
“Is that a threat or a promise?” Alex smirks.
“That’s for you to decide.” Kelley winks at her, which makes Alex laugh.
“Let’s get back to the others, you creep.” Alex teases, pulling Kelley deeper into the crowd. The beat the DJ was playing, changes into the beat of ‘Sexy Back’ by Justin Timberlake and Kelley stops in the middle of the crowd, making Alex come to a halt as well, due to them holding hands. Alex turns around to see what’s stopping Kelley, but there is no sight of a distraction. Kelley just raises her eyebrows at Alex challengingly, which causes a smirk on her face in response. Kelley intertwines both of her hands with Alex’s, walking a few steps backwards to the beat of the bass, pulling Alex along. Alex laughs at the flirty look on Kelley’s face, but follows her lead nonetheless. Kelley comes to a stop and pulls Alex closer, guiding Alex’s arms around her neck. She closes the space between them, pulling Alex as close as possible in one swift, rough motion. It’s the good kind of rough though, the one that you use while dancing to manifest that you are the lead. Nevertheless, it surprises Alex, who squeals shortly. Their faces are just inches apart and Kelley’s hands are holding on to Alex’s hips, pressing their bodies together.
“I’m bringing sexy back” Kelley breathes against Alex’s lips, who finds it harder to breathe, each passing second.
“Them other boys don't know how to act (Yeah) I think it's special, what's behind your back? (Yeah)”
Alex’s hands are dangling off of Kelley’s shoulders and their foreheads are pressed against each other.
“So turn around and I'll pick up the slack” Kelley sings, while turning Alex around in another smooth motion. Alex’s breath hitches in her throat. Kelley places her hands on Alex’s stomach, hugging her from behind, her head resting in the space between her shoulder and her neck. One of Alex’s hands moves to Kelley’s nape, holding onto her hair. Kelley starts grinding into Alex from behind, to the rhythm of the song, their bodies synchronizing as if they are one.
“Dirty baaaabe, you see these shackles, baby, I’m your slaaave” Kelley whispers into Alex’s ear, the hot stream of air, causing goosebumps on Alex’s skin.
“I'll let you whip me if I misbehave (Uh-huh)”
Kelley leaves open mouthed kisses along Alex’s neck, who rolls her neck to the side, so Kelley has better access.
“It's just that no one makes me feel this way” Kelley says sexily, through gritted teeth, her lips brushing against Alex’s neck.
“Come here, girl (Go 'head, be gone with it) Come to the back (Go 'head, be gone with it) VIP (Go 'head, be gone with it) Drinks on me (Go 'head, be gone with it) Let me see what you're twerking with (Go 'head, be gone with it)”
Kelley continues to grind into Alex, the temperature in the club feeling like a hundred degrees. Alex feels extremely turned on and she is glad that she is no man, because otherwise her excitement would be visible by now. The alcohol in her system is making her feel everything even more intense and every touch on her skin makes her yearn for more.
“Look at those hips” Kelley sings grabbing onto Alex’s hips.
“You make me smile” she grins in Alex’s neck, while singing, which causes Alex to smile sexily, leaning even more of her weight into Kelley.
“Go 'head, child (Go 'head, be gone with it) And, get your sexy on (Go 'head, be gone with it) Get your sexy on (Go 'head, be gone with it) Get your sexy on (Go 'head, be gone with it) Get your sexy on (Go 'head, be gone with it)”
Alex can’t really take it anymore, she turns around in Kelley’s arms, grabbing a piece of her shirt with her fist and pulls Kelley through the crowd and towards the restroom. Everything feels like it happens in slow motion and that may also be because of the alcohol. Luckily, the music is also booming loudly in there and no one is waiting in line. As soon as they enter the room, Alex turns around and starts kissing her roughly. The kiss tastes like rum and Coke, mixed with coconut and fruit, due to the drinks they had before and they can’t seem to get enough of the mind-blowing taste. Kelley walks further into the room backwards, not breaking the kiss. She hits her body against several doorframes and door handles on the way, but has no reason to complain at all. Alex pushes Kelley into an empty stall and presses her against the wall roughly. The kisses are turning messy and Alex grabs onto Kelley’s belt to open up her pants. She unzips them and her hand disappears inside without hesitation. To Alex there isn’t even time to pull Kelley’s pants down properly, but instead she comes straight to the point. The both of them know, that at this point no foreplay is needed, the intoxication pushing them to another level, which is why Alex simply goes for it.
“Alex!” Kelley breathes almost voicelessly, when two of Alex’s fingers enter her. She starts moving them at a fast pace, while kissing Kelley’s neck, sucking hard on her pulse point.
“Yes! Keep going!” Kelley moans. Alex moves up to kiss her needy. Their breathes are matching into one, putting everything in perfect sync. Mid-kiss a huge smile is growing on Kelley’s face, causing Alex to also laugh into the kiss. Alex snakes her tongue over Kelley’s slowly and teasingly. They are both fully aware, just how crazy the situation is right now. The cute moment is interrupted by Kelley throwing her head back and moaning loudly, when Alex’s other hand springs to action, alternating between rubbing her clit and stroking her folds. Kelley’s hands tangle in Alex’s hair and Alex bites Kelley’s neck. Alex starts working her hands faster, knowing that Kelley wants her to go faster by the way she’s pulling her hair lightly. The whole situation is turning Kelley on in a way that quickly lets her feel strong pleasure and everything Alex touches feels like she sets it on fire. Her chest falls and rises at a quick pace and Alex knows Kelley is close, due to her closing her eyes and her mouth being slightly opened, causing this incredibly sexy face she makes right before she’s coming. She tries to hit the spot, that will bring Kelley over the edge for sure, repeatedly. Alex can see Kelley’s neck veins pop out and it turns her on immensely, leaving her even wetter than she already is. She tries to go faster and keeps on going in and out of her with a strong, incessant, steady rhythm, while rubbing her clit in circular movements. A few seconds later, Kelley reaches her climax with a loud: “Fuck, yeees, Aleeex!”
Before even properly coming down from her high, Kelley switches the positions they are standing in and pushes Alex up against the wall. With her pants still open she grabs onto Alex’s right thigh, pulling it up to her hip, causing Alex’s dress to ride up in the process. Alex watches Kelley pushing the seam of the dress higher teasingly, while sliding her hand up her leg. Their gazes meet and Alex’s pupils have dilated so much, that Kelley almost can’t see the pretty blue she loves. Kelley’s right hand moves to the middle of Alex’s legs and she can feel the wetness through her underwear, which is completely soaked. Kelley starts applying pressure, rubbing her through her string.
“Ooooh.” Alex moans loudly, pushing into Kelley’s hand, her eyes closing in bliss. Kelley pushes the garment to the side and starts sliding her fingers up and down. Right now, Alex swears this feels like dying and ascending to heaven, since she also feels like she would have exploded with just one more passing minute of Kelley not touching her. Kelley hooks her left arm under her butt and lifts her up quickly. Alex’s legs tangle behind Kelley’s back to hold onto her and she leans down to kiss her hungrily. Kelley’s fingers move further south and she enters her. Alex’s mouth forms a perfect ‘O’ and her nails dig into Kelley’s back, spurring her on to keep going. She feels the pressure in her whole body, her back arching, so that her body is pushing into Kelley even more. Kelley starts going in and out very fast and Alex loses every control over her body.
“Oh my god, yes! Faster!!”
The stall feels like a sauna and Alex feels her mind fogging up as well. She rocks into Kelley’s pushes and the walls of the stall are shaking. Over the music you can hear a thumping of Alex’s body being pushed against the wooden stall every time Kelley pushes inside her. Alex feels the orgasm building in the pit of her stomach and she shuts her eyes tightly. That’s when Kelley hits a spot that almost makes her come right away.
“Fuck yes, Kelley, right there!!!” she moans loudly.
Kelley pushes into her even harder now and Alex feels the pressure becoming an unbearably tight feeling that is just waiting to be released. Alex hears a loud crack, but doesn’t give it any attention and she’s not sure she is even able to at this point. The feeling that’s taking over her body too overpowering to be aware of her surroundings. It feels like electricity causing through her veins and she knows that this orgasm is going to be intense. Kelley kisses Alex’s lips sensually and hits the spot over and over, making Alex feel like she’s not on this planet anymore. Kelley’s voice brings her back to reality.
“Babe, look at me.” Kelley orders, brushing their lips together. Alex obliges and as soon as their eyes meet, Alex comes hard. Hot pleasure is flowing through her body and she gasps for air.
“Keeeelleeeey!” Alex moans loudly against Kelley’s lips. In fact, she moans so loudly, that Kelley has to muffle it with a kiss. Alex doesn’t know what has gotten into her, but the orgasm leaves her shameless even though they are in a public place, the feeling just too amazing to possibly stay quiet. Her walls are crushing against Kelley’s fingers hard and her body is trembling, the orgasm lasting for some time. They share some kisses, while Alex needs a while to come down from the high. Kelley lets Alex down slowly, who’s arms still rest around Kelley’s neck, while Kelley strokes her waist up and down.
“Holy shit.” Alex chuckles, in between kisses.
“Mhhm, I agree. That was some wild sex.” Kelley grins. Suddenly, Kelley furrows her forehead.
“Uhh, babe?”
“Yeah?”
“Did you also hear that cracking sound?”
“Oh, that really happened?”
They both start looking around and Kelley starts laughing loudly.
“What?” Alex asks confused. Kelley pulls Alex towards her, turning her around in the process.
“Oh my god, shit!” Alex says, her jaw dropping. The wall she just leaned against has a huge tear in the middle. She looks at Kelley in disbelieve, who is still laughing.
“Did I just fuck you so hard that the wall broke?” Kelley smirks.
“Oh no, will this be something you take pride in?” Alex groans.
“You can bet your ass I will.”
“Uuuuugh, no.” Alex says hitting her head against Kelley’s chest.
“Come on babe, it’s just another performance to be impressed by.” Kelley winks at her.
“That actually was quite the performance.”
“Top 3 of wildest public restroom sex?”
“Definitely top 3, but do you remember that time after the game against-“
“-Canada? Yeah, that was definitely number 1.” Kelley interrupts. They high five, followed by a kiss and fix each other’s clothes, before exiting the stall. On their way out they wash their hands and check themselves in the mirror. When they rejoin the group, Alex immediately starts dancing with Allie again, who pushes another drink into her hand. Kelley and the others make their way to the table again to also fill up on drinks. After an hour, Kelley and Bati make their way back to the dancefloor, to check up on Alex and Allie. Meanwhile, the rest of the group already wanted to head home. When they approach them Kelley and Bati share a knowing look.
“Baaaaby, wwhere were youu? I misssed you.” Alex slurs, running towards Kelley, throwing her arms around her.
“Babe, how about a round of water?” Kelley laughs.
“Noooo! How abou’…annother roun’ of drinkss?” Alex asks, pushing her pointer finger in Kelley’s chest.
“Alright, you wanna go sit?”
“Ohmygo’, yes, my feet hur-t ssso much.”
Kelley hooks her arm around Alex and guides her to the table, where Alex sits down exhaustedly.
“Just stay put for a minute okay?”
“I ain’t goin’ nowhere, Officer.” Alex says holding her hands up innocently. Kelley makes her way to the bar and orders a huge glass of water. When she returns, Bati has also managed to convince Allie to sit down for a minute.
“One special drink, for my special girl.” Kelley says, sitting down next to Alex and handing the water to her, who immediately starts drinking it thirstily until the glass is empty. She then leans her head on Kelley’s chest, cuddling up to her.
“Baabe?”
“Mhm?”
“I’m not ssstupid, that was water fo’ ssure.”
“Thank me later.”
Kelley looks at Bati and gestures for them to leave. After 15 minutes of convincing the girls that it’s time to go home, Kelley and Bati are happy to stand outside, waiting for the Uber. He first stops at Allie and Bati’s hotel and after long goodbyes and a few more minutes in the car, Kelley and Alex finally arrive in front of their apartment building. Kelley wakes Alex up, who fell asleep just moments ago and tips the Uber driver. She helps Alex out of the car and hooks her arm around her again, since she definitely needs some stabilization. They walk into the building and towards the elevator wanting to get up, however Alex gives Kelley a look of horror, due to a sign sticking on the door.
‘Out of order. Will be fixed first thing in the morning.’
“Damn it.” Kelley rolls her eyes.
“I’ll sssleep in the lobby then.” Alex slurs, leaning against the wall next to the elevator, closing her eyes. Kelley is totally aware that there is no way Alex’s is going to make it up all 12 floors using the stairs. Actually, she isn’t so sure that Alex would even make one floor, without breaking her neck, considering her state of drunkenness. Therefore, she walks up to Alex and squats down in front of her.
“Jump on.”
“Baaabe, wha’ are you doin’?”
“I’ll carry you.” Kelley says matter of factly, turning around to look at Alex.
“Are’ya craazy? I miight be drunk...BUT there’ss nnno way I’m gonna let’cha carry me 12 floorss.” Alex slurs.
“And I’m sure there is no way you are going to walk them. So, it’s either sleeping in the lobby or me carrying you. And since my fiancée isn’t sleeping in any lobbies, as long as I’m around, you’re going to have to hold on tight, babe.”
“But-“
“End of the discussion.” Kelley says squatting down again. Alex does as she’s told and holds on tight, as Kelley makes her way up the stairs with an unfaltering pace. On the way up, Alex starts very typical drunk conversations and Kelley really has to focus, so that she doesn’t have to laugh.
“Baby?”
“What is it Alex?”
“Baby, yur ssso perfect. Nooo, like reeeally reeeally perfect. Like I don’ deserv’ you.”
“That’s nonsense, princess. You’re even more perfect.”
“Sssee! You always ssay sstuff like tha’, with’cha perfect voice and cha perfect ssmile and- I jus’ love you sso much.“
“Babe, you’re drunk.”
“M’not druunk.”
Kelley stops in the middle of the staircase and turns her head to throw Alex a look of disbelief.
“Oookay, I migh’ be druunk.”
“That’s what I thought.” she says, starting to walk again.
“I loove you, though.” Alex says, pressing a kiss to Kelley’s neck.
“Duuuh.” Kelley says with a Valley girl accent, which causes Alex to laugh. When they finally arrive in their apartment, Kelley carries Alex up the last set of stairs and let’s herself fall on their bed backwards with Alex still on her back.
“Oh my god.” she breathes out exhaustedly, laying on Alex and staring up at the ceiling. Alex’s legs are still wrapped around Kelley’s hips and she softly caresses her collarbone with the one hand and her rib cage with the other. Meanwhile, Kelley strokes the back of Alex’s thighs, which she still holds on to. Alex moves to kiss Kelley’s temple and Kelley turns her head to give her a soft smile, their faces just inches apart.
“You…are my her-o.” Alex whispers, looking deep into Kelley’s eyes. Kelley can see the beautiful blue again, which seems to be even more intense, due to Alex’s eyes being glassy and a little red, which always happens when she’s drunk.
“Wanna know a secret?”
“Yah, what is it?” Alex asks lost in Kelley’s eyes. Kelley leans in and kisses her tenderly.
“Don’t tell anyone.” she whispers when she pulls away. Alex looks at Kelley infatuatedly, releasing a deep breath.
“You drive me craazy.”
“Ditto, but now it’s time to go to bed.” Kelley says pushing herself up and sitting between Alex’s legs at the edge of the bed.
“Nooo, I don’t wanna though.” Alex complains. Alex musters Kelley closely, who’s stretching her arms.
“Your arms look ssso goo’.” Alex says, sitting up as well to kiss her back, while running her hands over Kelley’s arms. She then snakes them around Kelley’s waist and under her shirt, stroking her abs. The horny type of drunk coming out again.
“Alex.” Kelley says warningly.
“I know you wan’it, tiger.”
“I really do, but I also already had ‘it’ tonight.”
“Your sexiness is fffucking me.” Alex whispers against Kelley’s ear sultrily, causing goosebumps all over her body and heat shooting through her body. Kelley knows exactly what Alex is trying right now. Over the years, Alex has mastered to push her buttons and it demands a shit ton of self-control not to give in right now.
“Alex, stop.” Kelley says weakly.
“Look at me.” Alex says, kissing Kelley’s ear.
“I can't look, because then I see your face and it will be over.”
“Babe, I want’cha to fu-“
Kelley stands up quickly, groaning loudly, running her hands through her face in frustration.
“Uh-uh, you’re not getting in my head right now, Alex. I see you’re getting horny again and as much as I want to, we’re not doing this right now.”
“Damn, I almos’ gotcha, right?” Alex slurs.
“You always got me.” Kelley winks, starting to undress and helping Alex out of her dress as well. Kelley chuckles, when Alex immediately falls asleep as soon as she’s undressed. She makes her way downstairs again, getting another glass of water and places it on Alex’s nightstand. When Kelley’s back hits the mattress, Alex seems to sense it and rolls around, laying her head on her chest and clinging onto her as always. Kelley puts her arms around her, holding her tight and falling asleep just seconds later.

Feeling Ill
Your face hit the pillow. This lasting sickness hanging onto every inch of you. Your body ached and you were tired to no avail. You didn’t want to do anything other then crawl into this bed and never resurface. With the blankets pulled over your head, you could hear movement around the room. You shifted the blankets just enough to be able to peak out. You saw Alex quietly going through the dresser. You watched as he picked himself out an outfit. You furrowed your eyebrows at him. He quietly walked out of the room. You wondered what he was up to.
You must have fallen asleep for a little as you noticed that the sun was higher in the sky. As you sat up your head started to pound. You looked around the room and noticed that Alex was sitting in a chair staring at you. The headache was putting you in a bad mood. “What the hell are you looking at?” You mumbled grumpy from the pain. “Someone’s in a bad mood.” Alex spoke softly. You rolled your eyes at him. You got up and went to the bathroom. When you walked back into the room you discovered that Alex had picked out an outfit for you to wear. “Where the hell do you think I’m going.” You turned to him. “Out with me. The fresh air will make you feel better.” He said calmly. You stared at the clothes for a minute before grabbing them. You walked over to the dresser and tossed the clothes back in, before making your way back to the bed. Alex let out a sigh. “I’m not going anywhere Alex. You know that I’m not feeling well. I don’t want to go anywhere. I just want to sleep.” You watched as his face gave a look of impatience. “Honestly y/n you can’t just stay in bed all day for the rest of your life. The fresh air might help. Just get up, get dressed and we’ll go get something to eat.” You could hear the tone of his voice become a little stern. “ you rolled over, turning your back to him. “You want to go out so bad, then go by yourself. I’m not leaving this bed. Just leave me alone Alex.” The attitude was flowing through your words. “Fine” he spoke with a hint of anger in his voice. You watched as he walked out of the room. Shaking his head.
You went back to sleep. You woke very suddenly to see the sky had darkened. You sent a text to Alex. *hey babe are you here?*. You sat there waiting for a response. The house was still. There was no response from him. You got up out of the bed and walked out of the room. You called for him. No response. You decided to text him again. *Alex where are you?* you watched as the message sent. You walked down the stairs slowly. Your body still felt tired. You still hadn’t received a response. You decided to text him one last time. *alex seriously where are you? Are you ok?*. You walked into the kitchen. You grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge and went to sit on the couch. More time had passed but still no response. You decided to call him. You headed as the phone rang. Multiple rings and no pick up. You listened to his soft voice on his answering machine before hanging up. You shook your head in annoyance, but you understood where he was coming from. You had been a complete bitch earlier for no reason to him and he didn’t deserve that. You checked your phone and noticed that it was roughly 7:30 pm.
You turned the tv on since you had nothing left to do. You stared blankly at the show. You were to worried about Alex and what he was up to. It seemed like forever but you heard the front door open. Alex walked to the living room where heard the tv playing. You watched as he smiled at you. You gave him a small smile back. He was carrying a bag of food and a Walmart bag. “Here you go baby girl I got you some food and a small thing that I want you to do.” He sat the food down in front of you and the Walmart bag. He sat beside you, pulling out the different food items from the bag. Chinese food your favourite. You reached into the Walmart bag and pulled out the lone item that was in it. You pulled out a pregnancy test. Alex watched your face change as you turned over the box in your hands. Staring down at the test you realized that you couldn’t remember your last period. “I just figured that you should take a test and make sure we know what’s going on” Alex said as he squeezed your knee. You got up and went to the bathroom.
You took the test and left it in the bathroom. You walked back after washing your hands and proceeded to eat your dinner. After the two of you cleaned up you went back to the bathroom and grabbed the test without looking at it. Alex was sitting watching tv. You walked over to him and sat on his lap. He wrapped his arms around you. It was time to look at the test. You looked down at the test to see that it was positive. You glanced over at Alex’s face. He was shocked. He mouth was slightly gaped. “Oh my god. Y/n we’re going to have a baby.” His face grew wide with a smile. You couldn’t help but smile. You leaned in and kissed him.
The next morning you scheduled a doctor appointment. They were pretty good and were able to get you in that afternoon. You and Alex were waiting in the doctor’s office. “So tonight we’ll tell everyone after we get an ultrasound picture.” Alex was excited you could hear it in his voice as he talked. You nodded at him. “Whatever you want baby.” You heard the nurse call your name. You got up and Alex trailed your steps. The nurse asked you the basic questions. You told her that you estimated that your last period, was almost 3 months ago. The nurse left. Alex was sitting in the corner smiling like a goof. You couldn’t help but laugh at the look on his face. The doctor walked in. He was pushing the ultrasound machine into the room. He asked you the same questions the nurse did. He then asked you to lift your shirt. You rolled it up and watched as the doctor poured the cool gel across your belly. He pressed slightly firm with the sonogram machine. He started to move slowly then stopped. He turned the screen so you and Alex could see. You could hear Alex mumble. “Holy shit that’s a baby”. You smiled at his comment. You squeezed his hand and smiled. “Your looking to be around 4 months judging from the side of the fetus.” The doctor said as he wrote notes in your file. “Would the two of you like to know the gender of the baby?” He asked. You looked at Alex and he nodded. “Yes” you said confidently. The doctor began to move the machine again. “It’s a boy” he said. Alex let out a sound of excitement. You were in shock. You were going to have a baby boy. The doctor printed your sonogram photos.
You both left the office. Alex was in contact with his band mates and then both of your parents. You had stopped off at the grocery store to pick up a couple items. You grabbed blue balloons, a blue stuffed animal, and a cake that says it’s a boy. You were looking for Alex through the whole store you couldn’t find him. You walked into the baby section and noticed him with an armful of newborn boy clothes. You couldn’t help but smile at the warm site. You slowly pushed the cart up behind him making sure not to scare him. You walked up behind him and wrapped your arms around him. He turned and kissed your fore head. “We gonna go check out or did you want to get some more stuff.” You asked him. “We have to get a crib and stroller and car seat.” Alex spoke with excitement in his tone and smile on his face. “Lead the way then papa” You let out a laugh. He grabbed the cart and started pushing towards the cribs and strollers. The two of you spent a good two hours picking out things for the baby. Alex loaded everything into the car. The stroller, car seat and crib as well as the clothes and other items. You stopped to grab a couple pizzas.
When you got home you literally had 20 minutes before the everyone was going to arrive. You quickly set up the balloons, pizza and the stuffed animal in the centre. You heard a knock on the door. You walked to answer the door. Everyone had arrived at the same time. You welcomed everyone in. You hugged all the band mates. First Lyndsey, the Brian and of course you couldn’t forget Justin. You saw your parents walk in and you hugged both of them. Alex’s parents walked in and you greeted them as he hugged them. Everyone was talking and enjoying the small party. “So we have a cake I’m just going to go grab it.” You said as everyone finished eating. You grabbed the cake and the sonogram photos. You placed the cake on the table where everyone could read it. Their faces each showed a confused expression. You gently set the sonogram photos onto the table beside the cake. Lyndsey was the first to let out a gasp. Shortly after everyone realized what was going on. The congratulations began to roll in. The hugging didn’t stop for the rest of the night.

perfect ~ corbyn besson ~christmas 2017
a/n: super duper inspired/based off of by the perfect music video by ed sheeran
it was a tradition starting about six years back that every december y/n and her best friends (corbyn, gabe, alex, and chris) would all meet up on the best possible mountain for skiing in the whole state. as always, y/n was the first to arrive.
while she were waiting for her four friends, she decided to order a hot chocolate. as soon as the girl returned to the seat she was in previously with the hot cocoa in hand, corbyn walked in, the bell above the door jingling as he did so. perfect timing.
“hey, corbs!” y/n exclaimed in her cheery voice that always put a huge smile on corbyn’s face, not worrying about having to be quiet since they were the only two people in the lodge at the time besides the man working there and the woman who was walking out the door towards the slopes.
“hi y/n,” the blonde chuckled, wrapping his lengthy arms around her frame in the tightest hug that he possibly could.
“good god, you’re freezing!” y/n took his hands in hers to warm them up a bit. “here, take this,” she told him, holding out the hot drink that she had only had a few sips of.
“no i’m fine, you can have it,” corbyn politely declined although he really did need it. he was practically an ice berg. not only that but he couldn’t go order his own drink since the cashier had just disappeared to the back of the lodge.
“please,” y/n begged, pushing the drink into his welcoming hands.
“thank yo-” he mumbled, raising the mug to his lips as the door bells sounded once again. y/n’s head shot towards the door and she sprinted towards it as soon as she saw who it was. just as corbyn had suspected, it was gabe, alex, and chris.
“i missed you guys!” y/n smiled after she had given them each an incredibly long hug. corbyn rose from his seat to give all of his friends a welcoming as well. he didn’t want to come off as rude to the people that he easily referred to as his very best friends.
corbyn bro hugged each of the guys before y/n mentioned that they should probably get to skiing since it would be getting dark in just a few hours. everyone agreed, grabbing their skis and following y/n out the door that they had all walked out together for the past six years.
as the group was treading to the top of the mountain to begin the journey downhill, y/n was conversing and laughing about something hilarious that must have been said with alex. behind them was gabe and chris who were having their own conversation about justin and selena’s relationship. and finally, behind them all was corbyn. corbyn was walking all by himself as he usually did in these sort of group outings. with this group of friends in particular, he always ended up being the third wheel no matter how hard he tried.
he looked with sad eyes towards y/n and alex. corbyn had always been incredibly jealous of alex, as well as chris and gabe. the three guys were so much more muscular than corbyn and they somehow all remained tan all year round. these were two physical traits that corbyn couldn’t compete with as well as two traits that made corbyn feel incredibly insecure. corbyn always thought that y/n thought of him as incomparable to those three, even though that was the farthest from the truth.
corbyn continued to sulk as he climbed the mountain behind his friends. finally, they reached the very peak, where the fun would finally begin for corbyn.
“you ready?” y/n asked, standing next to corbyn who was finishing up strapping on his skis. the other friends has already began to ski down the slope.
“yup, you?” he replied, standing up and positioning himself to get going down the mountain. y/n nodded.
“together?” she asked, holding out her hand for corbyn to take. now it was his turn to nod. he laced his fingers with hers as they began to slide down the mountain smoothly. corbyn’s hands were sweating from nerves but thank god he was wearing thick gloves. that way y/n couldn’t feel it.
“uh oh,” y/n mumbled after a solid five minutes of smooth and steady skiing.
“uh oh, what?” corbyn asked worriedly.
“i’m going down!” y/n called out dramatically as she let go of corbyn’s hand and fell on her back, continuing to slide until she reached a flat spot where she slid to a stop. corbyn stopped at the flat place as well.
“are you okay?” corbyn asked, getting down on the ground next to the girl that was yet to know that he fell for her. the only sound that filled his ears was her uncontrollable laughter, making his heart flutter. she nodded, unable to catch her breath. he just shook his head as he rose to his feet, pulling her up as well.
before they knew it, all five of the friends were at the very bottom of the mountain and it was nearly pitch black outside. thankfully they weren’t the only ones out there. the group of nineteen year olds made their way to the ski lift, each of them climbing into one of the cart type things. corbyn was seated with y/n, chris with alex, and gabe all alone in the very back.
“you tired?” corbyn asked y/n in a whisper in response to her resting her head on his shoulder.
“a little bit,” she replied, leaning further into his warm and comforting touch.
“close your eyes, you got about five minutes until we get back to the top,” corbyn told the girl, moving his left arm to wrap around her shoulders, pulling her towards him even more in an attempt to warm them both up. at least that’s what y/n thought. in corbyn’s mind, it was because he wanted to make as much contact with the gorgeous girl as possible.
“y/n” corbyn nudged the sleeping girl slightly, waking her from her dozed off state. “c’mere.” he held his arms open to her as he was already on the ground and could easily help her down, which he did.
after this, the friends all gathered by a fire pit just outside of the lodge that they had began in, warming themselves up by the fire. y/n continued to cling to corbyn’s comforting touch as the rest of the guys sat opposite of the two. everyone continued to talk about absolute nonsense before y/n accidentally let a fairly loud yawn escape.
“and that’s our cue,” gave said, standing up from the log he was sitting on, followed by the two others.
“goodnight!” the three of them called out as they headed towards the car that they all drove in together after sharing their hugs and goodbyes with corbyn and y/n.
“what time is it?” y/n asked, running her hand through her hair.
“a little past midnight,” corbyn replied quickly after glancing at his phone. “we can stay at my grandparents cabin that’s about a mile from here for the night,” corbyn offered as soon as he noticed the look on the girl’s face at the idea of driving home this late while being this tired.
“can we?” y/n asked, corbyn nodded and stood up once again, leading y/n along with him by the hand.
fifteen minutes later and the two arrived in the cabin. you greeted corbyn’s grandparents who lived in the loft portion of the cabin all year round. they rented out the bottom part so that they could earn a little cash.
“thank god you brought extra clothes,” y/n sighed as she curled up in the soft sweatshirt that corbyn had brought along with him. the boy only nodded. the best friends sat in silence, corbyn only studying the sounds of y/n’s steady breathing and y/n listening to corbyn’s rapid heartbeat as her head was rested on his chest.
“i, uh-” corbyn interrupted the silence. “i wrote you a song,” he finished. “i don’t know if you want to here it but um-”
“of course i want to hear it!” y/n practically screamed, suddenly seaming a lot more awake than she was just a few minutes prior. “you know that your voice is my favorite thing to listen to.” corbyn blushed softly at the compliment before clearing his throat a bit and beginning to sing a cappella to the song that he had written for you.
“baby, I'm dancing in the dark with you between my arms barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song when you said you looked a mess, I whispered underneath my breath but you heard it, darling, you look perfect tonight”
corbyn sang beautifully. you teared up a bit but refused to show it as the realization hit you that he was trying to confess his love for you the only way he knew how to; through song.
“i don’t deserve this, you look perfect tonight,”
he finished off.
“that was... wow,” you smiled widely.
“i’m sorry i know that was probably kinda weird for y-” he profusely apologized.
“why would it be weird for me if i feel the exact same way?” y/n cut him off, a large smile growing on corbyn’s face to match y/n’s. corbyn stood up from the bed abruptly, pulling you along with him back out into the freezing night air, leaving the door back to the cabin slightly cracked open to allow some light to fall on the two.
“what are we doing?” you giggled. corbyn smirked before stretching out his arm while still holding onto your hand. you got the hint and began to slow dance with him in dark, in the snow, on top of the very same mountain that you had been coming to with him for years.
by the end of the slow dancing session, corbyn’s arms were wrapped tightly around you and yours around him, your faces mere inches apart.
“can i kiss you?” he whispered. you chuckled softly and nodded as he connected your lips with his. your lips moved together rhythmically and you never wanted it to end. however, it was interrupted when corbyn’s grandparents’ cat brushed against your legs, causing you to pull away from corbyn and rest your forehead against his, a giggle escaping your lips.
“hi nala, baby,” you smiled, parting from corbyn and leaning down to pick up the little cat that you had known since his grandparents first adopted her.
“god, you’re fucking stunning,” corbyn mumbled under his breath as he turned to walk back into the cabin, you blushing rapidly while walking inside behind him with the cat in your arms.
a/n: im so sorry this is so bad i literally never write corbyn i am basically unable to write good corbyn stuff so yeah sorry pals

The Biggest 'Grey's Anatomy' Cast Exits
Grey's Anatomy has had its fair share of goodbyes.
As the 14th season winds down, ABC's long-running medical drama has gone through significant cast changes in front of the camera and its fair share of on-set drama and scandals. While Ellen Pompeo, Justin Chambers, Chandra Wilson and James Pickens Jr. are the only remaining members of the original ensemble who have been with the show since its March 2005 debut, many of their colleagues have come and gone -- some in tragic fashion and others with hopeful beginnings.
With Sarah Drew and Jessica Capshaw's exits looming ahead of the 15th season, there promises to be even more transitions for the veteran series. From T.R. Knight and Katherine Heigl to Sara Ramirez and Patrick Dempsey, ET chronicles the history of Grey's' biggest and most dramatic cast exits over the past 14 seasons.
Dr. Preston Burke (Isaiah Washington)
Tumblr media
ABC
Washington was one of the original doctors on Grey's when it debuted in 2005. He was fired in 2007 after the third season, following an incident where Washington allegedly used a gay slur in reference to T.R. Knight during an on-set argument and clashed with other co-stars. The actor eventually returned to Grey's for a 2014 episode to help kick off Sandra Oh's exit.
Dr. George O'Malley (T.R. Knight)
Tumblr media
ABC
Knight was the first major cast departure for Grey's, leaving in tragic yet heroic fashion at the end of season five. In his final episodes, his beloved character, George, ran in front of a bus in an effort to save a woman but was hit himself -- still one of TV's most shocking moments -- resulting in being completely unrecognizable to the doctors when he was rushed in. He would later die from his injuries, which became the topic of early season six, as his former colleagues mourned his death and attended his funeral. One of the original interns on Grey's, George was a puppy-eyed doctor whose close friendship with Meredith, fumbling romances with Izzie and Callie and adversarial dynamic with Alex made him even more relatable to viewers.
Denny Duquette (Jeffrey Dean Morgan)
Tumblr media
ABC
While Morgan only appeared in about two dozen episodes, he remains one of Grey's most memorable characters, playing Denny, a patient-turned-love interest for Izzie in the second and third seasons. Though the heart transplant Denny came in for was successful, he died suddenly after a stroke -- but not until after he'd proposed to Izzie and she'd accepted. Later, Izzie used the money he left her to open up the Denny Duquette Memorial Clinic. In season five, Morgan returned for a new arc when Izzie began hallucinating Denny around the time she discovered she was diagnosed with cancer.
Dr. Izzie Stevens (Katherine Heigl)
Tumblr media
ABC
One of the original Grey's stars, Heigl left midway through season six after playing the bubbly, upbeat intern-turned-surgical resident Izzie for over 100 episodes. In her final episode, Heigl's character discovered she was cancer-free, attempted to reconcile with her ex, Alex, and turned down an offer to get her job back after getting fired, opting to move on for a fresh start. Heigl, who won the Emmy for her Grey's role in 2007, memorably took her name out of consideration in 2008 because she didn't feel she "was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination," a reference to her reduced workload that year.
Dr. Addison Montgomery (Kate Walsh)
Tumblr media
ABC
Addison's introduction on Grey's at the end of the first season is still one of the most memorable moments of the series. Still, she left after season three after deciding to have a baby and visiting her friend Naomi, a fertility specialist in California at Oceanside Wellness Group, making the move to the Golden State permanent. Walsh's spinoff, Private Practice, debuted in the fall of 2007 and ran for six seasons, but she would pop back in and out on Grey's through its eighth season.
Dr. Lexie Grey (Chyler Leigh)
Tumblr media
ABC
Meredith's half-sister Lexie entered the picture in season three as part of that year's new class of interns, but became an integral part of the fabric of the series when she was upped to series regular at the start of season four. She became romantically involved with Mark in an on-again/off-again romance, and the two eventually reunited not long before they were both victims of a horrific plane crash at the end of season eight, during which she was the first to die. "My experience on Grey’s Anatomy is something that I will treasure for the rest of my life. I want to take this time to say thank you to the fans," Leigh told TVLine. "Your unconditional love and support have made these last five years very special for me. I look forward to my next chapter and I hope you will continue to follow me on my journey.
Dr. Mark Sloan (Eric Dane)
Tumblr media
ABC
The "McSteamy" to Patrick Dempsey's "McDreamy," Dane joined the ABC drama as a recurring guest star in the sophomore season before being promoted to series regular in season three, and his character, Mark, was immediately dubbed the ladies' man of the hospital. His presence at the hospital caused more wrinkles than it stabilized the staff, with spicy affairs with Derek's estranged wife Addison, Callie and Lexie -- the latter a relationship he grew to embrace. Dane was written off in dramatic fashion; after Lexie's death following the eighth season finale plane crash, Mark succumbed to his injuries.
Dr. Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh)
Tumblr media
ABC
Oh was one of the original cast members on Grey's when it debuted in 2005 and was on the show for 10 seasons until she left in 2014, when Cristina made the leap to relocate and start anew in Zurich. As Meredith's "person," Owen's on-again/off-again love and a star surgeon, Oh's character was one of the most beloved of the series and speculation of a potential return has permeated ever since her departure. "I've gotta tell you, those rumors, I don't know who starts them but it really is tough," Oh admitted to ET Canada in 2016. "No, I have no plans to return to Grey's any time soon." But Oh did say in a 2014 interview with The Hollywood Reporter that she'd be game to return for the series finale.
Dr. Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey)
Tumblr media
ABC
Dempsey's exit in season 11 was one of the most shocking moments in the history of Grey's, as his character, also known as "McDreamy," was one-half of the main couple on the series alongside Ellen Pompeo's Meredith Grey. In his final episode, Derek was rushed to the ER after a large semi truck struck his car and the team of under-trained doctors were unable to save him in time, forcing Meredith to pull the plug. “Derek Shepherd is and will always be an incredibly important character -- for Meredith, for me and for the fans. I absolutely never imagined saying goodbye to our 'McDreamy.' Patrick Dempsey’s performance shaped Derek in a way that I know we both hope became a meaningful example -- happy, sad, romantic, painful and always true -- of what young women should demand from modern love,” creator Shonda Rhimes said in April 2015. “His loss will be felt by all.”
Dr. Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez)
Tumblr media
ABC
Ramirez announced her decision to leave the show after 10 seasons of playing one of TV's groundbreaking bisexual characters following the season 12 finale. In Ramirez's final episode, she and her ex, Arizona, agreed that they would co-parent their daughter together. “I’m deeply grateful to have spent the last 10 years with my family at Grey’s Anatomy & ABC but for now, I’m taking some welcome time off,” Ramirez wrote in her note in 2016. “Shonda been so incredible to work for, & we will definitely continue our conversations!”
Dr. Stephanie Edwards (Jerrika Hinton)
Tumblr media
ABC
Hinton joined the medical drama in its ninth season, staying on for five seasons as Stephanie, one of Grey Sloan's surgical residents, and leaving at the end of the season 13 finale after suffering devastating burns following a fiery explosion in one of the hospital wings. Her near-death experience was enough for Stephanie to change course, and she made a declaration that she wanted to live her own life now. Hinton revealed to ET in February that she pitched a version of Stephanie's final episode where she died. "My heart grows to think that I did get a hero's end -- that I got to go out in a way that was not just incredibly human and honest, but also inspirational."
Dr. Nathan Riggs (Martin Henderson)
Tumblr media
ABC
Though Henderson's time as Riggs on Grey's was relatively brief -- he joined midway through the 12th season and left early on in season 14 -- he made his time on the series count. An Army doctor who had a friendship and deep history with fellow Grey Sloan doc Owen, he grew to become Meredith's main love interest following Patrick Dempsey's departure, but Riggs and Meredith's romance was cut short when he was reunited with his former love, Owen's previously presumed dead sister, Megan. In the end, the pair decided to move to Los Angeles together.
Dr. April Kepner (Sarah Drew)
Tumblr media
ABC
Drew, who has played April since season six, was written out of the show at the end of season 14 and she got her happy ending, walking down the aisle in a surprise wedding with an old flame, Matthew, with her ex-husband Jackson witness to the happy day. She also decided to leave Grey Sloan to do God's work, helping homeless communities in Seattle. But there was some worry that she wouldn't survive the season. Things weren't looking good for the devout Christian doctor in the penultimate episode as she was seen unconscious and barely clinging to life after being in a car accident. Thankfully, she made it out with barely a scratch. Whew. Ellen Pompeo hinted to ET in May that Drew's character would not meet a horrific end -- and thankfully, she was right. "You only get killed off when your behavior is bad. If you're a nice actor, you die nice. ... But, yeah, these endings aren't tragic."
Dr. Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw)
Tumblr media
ABC
In the penultimate season 14 episode, details of Capshaw's departure from Grey's were revealed: She was moving to New York City to be closer to the daughter she shares with her ex, Callie, and helping Nicole Herman open up a new clinic. In the finale, it was hinted that she and Callie may also be rekindling their romance. The announcement in March that she would be leaving after playing one of TV's few LGBTQ characters for 10 seasons was a shock to the system for fans. "I am sad to see her go, but I am consoled by the idea that she will continue to live on and on in all of our consciences and our imaginations," Capshaw wrote at the time.
Grey's Anatomy airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

Not So Merry and Bright
Here’s a continuation of this old thing and totally ripped off based on this great prompt.
Merry Christmas! 🎅🏼🎄🎁❄️
Peeling his eyes open, Sawyer quickly realized that things were the complete opposite as they’d been before he fell asleep. The agitated and restless business folk and families, though still clambering and milling about, wore varying expressions of very tired relief. They gathered and collected their belongings and their children, throwing away fast food containers and empty water bottles.
The snow had let up, for now, but the gloomy overcast sky promised more later in the day. It looked cold and blustery outside and just the thought of being anywhere but indoors made Sawyer give a violent shudder.
Alex was still nudging his arm, too busy packing away his own things to realize that Sawyer was already awake. He looked over only when Sawyer groaned beside him.
“Oh, you’re awake,” he said. “There was a break in the storm; they’re letting us board now.”
Instead of being excited—they were finally on their way to see Sawyer’s family after the three hour layover—Sawyer’s eyes welled up with tears and he buried his face into Alex’s shoulder, trembling and sniffling.
“Oh my god—why are you crying?” Alex knew Sawyer didn’t feel well, but there was no need for tears, especially since Alex felt like he was zero help in these situations.
“I don’t want to get on the plane,” Sawyer began, his voice thick with congestion and muffled into the fabric of Alex’s sweatshirt. “It’s too crowded and stuffy, a-and the pressure when we’re in the air makes my head hurt.”
Alex brushed a few strands of Sawyer’s hair away from his face, feeling the heat radiating off his skin. He sighed, trying to keep his voice level. “You want to go home, right, to see your family?”
After a moment of hesitation, filled with Sawyer’s sniffles and wet, rattling breath, he nodded.
“Look at me.” Sawyer looked up, and Alex sent him a smile, gently thumbing away the wetness under his boyfriend’s eyes. He adjusted Sawyer’s jacket and fluffed the scarf around his neck, before leaning in to place a kiss on his forehead. “Everything will be okay. I’ll make sure you’re comfortable the whole way there.”
Despite his complaints, Sawyer was out like a light before the plane even touched off the ground. After Alex had requested a pillow and blanket from the flight attendant, Sawyer had gotten comfortable, drifting off to the gentle hum of the engine.
Eventually Sawyer’s head found a resting place on his boyfriend’s shoulder and they stay that way for the rest of the flight. Alex took every opportunity to check Sawyer’s fever, resting the back of his hand against his cheek or brushing back unruly strands of blond hair from his forehead. It was peaceful for a while, until the sudden jolt of the wheels hitting the tarmac jarred Sawyer from his nap.
He blinked groggily and looked around like he didn’t know where he was. Then, deciding he didn’t really care and because his head felt like it was in a vise grip, he closed his eyes again and buried his face back into Alex’s shoulder with a short round of coughing.
Alex actually chuckled, something Sawyer didn’t make him do often. He leaned down and kissed his boyfriend’s forehead. “It’s time to go. Come on, Harper’s waiting for us.”
It wasn’t a trick, but Alex knew the mention of Sawyer’s sister would rouse the sleepy blond from his spot on his shoulder. Sure enough, Sawyer groaned, squinting up at him.
They sauntered out of the terminal, the pace set by Sawyer who was still groggy from his sleep on the plane. His chest hurt and his coughs left him doubled over and wheezing. He was in the middle of a particularly bad fit, clinging on to Alex to avoid falling on his face, when a voice grabbed his attention.
“Sawyer?” It was Harper. Sawyer would recognize her voice anywhere. “Aw, Soy, what happened to you?”
Even when Sawyer was in the partly doubled over in a fit of wet, chesty coughs, Harper wasn’t afraid to go over and wrap her brother in a hug, her long brown hair tickling his cheeks. It had been too long since they’d seen each other and Harper wasn’t going to let a cold stop her.
“I think he just needs some sleep,” Alex said. “The coughing’s kept him up the past couple of nights and our layover didn’t help.”
Harper smiled. “Let’s go then and you can sleep at home. Justin’s grabbing your luggage, but I’ll just tell him to meet us at the car. Mom and Dad are going to be so happy to see you!”
Sawyer doubted it. Even without him coughing and sneezing and being generally flu-ridden, he wasn’t entirely sure his parents were ever really enthused about seeing him. Not when they had Harper, who gave them their first grandchild, and was married to Justin.
He didn’t say any of that though—he never did. Instead, he let himself be led out to the parking garage, clinging to Alex and trying desperately not to sneeze on him.
“Hey, you all right?” Alex asked, his voice low enough so as not to be heard by Harper who was recounting some story that she was bound to tell three more times by the time Christmas was over.
Sawyer nodded, humming. “Just tired.”
It was like a code, like something you said when there was a monumental weight on your chest, but you either didn’t want to talk about it or it didn’t seem to be that big of an issue.
Alex picked up on the hint and ruffled Sawyer’s hair. “Don’t worry. Sleep is the best cure for jet lag.”

✨✨Rant time ✨✨✨
Okay first of all I want to clarify that I know this show has soooooo many problems and it's pretty problematic on a lot of things which I completely despise and don't support (also watching s3 and this season was like ???????? ? I don't even have time to talk about that)
Now that I clarify that, let's talk about one of the only things that made me watch this show, Zach and Alex, I don't know if it was just me or whatever (I guess it wasn't bc a lot of people saw this too) but in s2 they had a lot of development together and sooo much chemistry, they had really great scenes together and the scene where they're dancing together in Alex's room was so sweet and it felt like something was being building up, idk.
Then in s3 nothing happened wich was very disappointing I gotta say (but what part of that season didn't disappointed me) whatever, I don't even want to talk about that mess. but Alex killing Bryce bc he threatened Zach bitch if that's not a passion crime
I honestly was so mad about s3 I didn't even care about another season coming, buuuuuut then we got hints of zalex on the promotional pics (the "I love you man") and I decided to watch the new season bc I've been rooting for them since s2 and really wanted them to be together. *Spoiler warning* so first episode, we got the kiss and I was so happy but then Zach rejected Alex, and yes I was disappointed but then I thought "oh, maybe they'll make him realize that he actually likes him later" (me: 🤡) and there were scenes where the writers could've have done that, like when Winston asked him if he loved Alex and Zach looked all sad and shit, or in their "be gay, do crimes" scene where he asked Alex why he is with him and not with Charlie (oh babe we both know pretty damn well), or even when Chloe rejects him, it could've have been a parallel to when he rejected Alex and then he could realize that he likes him, which is something I saw a lot of people talking about, bitch he even said he liked the kiss, he didn't pulled out from the kiss and maybe I'm seeing shit but he totally kiss him back aghhhh and the show is trying to convince me that they don't like each other ????? but they just wasted all the potential they had and I'm very mad lol like why would you develop something and then doing nothing with that, there was so much potential :( even tho it's cool that they made Alex not straight it doesn't feel right that he ended up with Charlie ??? Yes they're very cute together, yes Charlie is very sweet and I'm glad that Alex is happy bc he is my favorite character and obviously I'm happy and to be honest I kinda ship them but it also feels kinda forced to me?? Idk if that makes sense, I feel like Charlie was there just to make Alex ending up with someone and nothing else lol he didn't really add anything to the show more than that.
Also Zach was very ooc which was very sad to see bc I love him lol and I know he had a lot of issues and a clear drinking problem and that can affect a person a lot, but idk just the way they handled it was very weird to me, also with the fact that they didn't really resolved it ??? it felt like Alex helped him to go and see Justin and then in one second he was okay again ??? Like bitch that's not how you resolved those types of issues stop with the bad writing please akdjskdj.
Ahh but overall I'm glad that Zalex remained very good friends and shit, but I don't know, it left me a bittersweet taste in the mouth.
(This is long as fuck if you read it to the end I want to say that I love you)

We're so close to the 14th season of Grey's Anatomy, which is why tension and excitement is at an all-time high. There's a lot to expect as we move forward: Owen will reunite with his sister Megan, Stephanie and Minnick have both moved on . . . and then there's Jo. Jo, played by Camilla Luddington, seems to be one of the most central characters on Grey's Anatomy right now (sorry, Meredith). After all, she's caught between her broken relationship with Alex and a potential new romance with DeLuca. She's about to lose her best friend. Oh, and her abusive husband is lurking somewhere in the shadows.
We recently caught up with Luddington on the red carpet for the BAFTA TV Tea Party, where she gave us a few hints at what's to come. Namely, things are going to have to come to a tipping point with Alex (Justin Chambers). "All I want for Jo and Alex is for them to sit down in a room and have a conversation, which they apparently can't do," she told us, laughing. "I feel like he's going to have to be honest at some point with her and let her know he reached out to her husband." Luddington, of course, is referring to an episode near the end of season 13, when Alex tracks down Jo's husband, Paul (Matthew Morrison). While Alex doesn't reveal who he is or his connection to Jo, it's like some unseen seal has been broken.
"You know, I'm a Jolex fan. I am."
"I'm interested to see where that takes them and if that creates more conflict between them," Luddington continued. "She definitely feels that he's a threat to both of them. As always, tons of drama." Tons of drama, indeed. At this point so much is up in the air romantically for Jo and Alex, especially since Morrison is definitely set to reprise his role as Paul. After all, she turns down his proposal in the penultimate episode of season 13, and she still has to deal with the whole DeLuca thing.
As for Luddington's personal feelings? "You know, I'm a Jolex fan," she admitted. "I am. I love working with Justin, and we have so much fun together, and we're really both invested in this relationship. You know, we've been involved for six years in it, so I have to root for it." Where will season 14 take the star-crossed lovers? We only have to wait a little while longer to find out!
