fully believe that simon blackquill is miles’ favorite co-worker & the whole orca thing proved it to me. simon was just some disgraced prosecutor that had probably been forgotten by the entire world & yet edgeworth was like “no, he should prosecute again... he deserves it” & tried to get him proven innocent. simon is actually semi polite around him too so edgeworth is like “oh he’s so honest and willing to get to the truth. who wouldn’t want to work with him” & he doesn’t realize the answer is like. everybody.

the true difference between the waa and prosecutors office is the less apparent weirdness vs the obvious weirdness. (by this I mean you can tell the prosecutors are weird with one look and you only know the defense are weird with like proper backstory)

Klavier Gavin? Some hotshot young prodigy prosecutor rockstar guy who’s entire music career revolves around law things. He also pretends to be German

Apollo Justice? Some underpaid intern that is seemingly normal except for his magic bracelet, 40 emo backstories, and a penchant for screaming that never comes up in casual conversation.

Simón Blackquill? Ex-felón with a pet bird for his best friend and talks like an old-timey samurai

Miles Edgeworth? Demon Prosecutor, has a chess board designed after him and his rival, dresses and speaks like some Victorian era guy.

Franziska Von Karma? A child prodigy who became a prosecutor at 13!! Carries a whip everywhere and hits people with them in court

Phoenix Wright? Normal guy ever, dresses normally, speaks normally, total normal guy, eats poisoned glass, literally invincible, and has a magical lie detecting rock that his little sister best friend gave him.
