Unlike a lot of the family, Fulton is friendly, genuinely fucking nice, and probably one of the best blends of his parents. Can shift, can do magic, avoids anything dark and bloody like the plague.

Despite shying away from violence (and honestly getting a little woozy around blood), Fulton does know how to throw a solid punch and he loves his twin sister, he does, but he would much rather she just…not most days. He also tries to avoid Kai as much as he can for similar reasons.

He got a job at a local diner just for something to do that didn’t involve his family. It’s entirely for himself, even if the diner in question is something of a hangout for nonhumans.

This wasn't how she was supposed to be spending her daughter's first Christmas.

Even when she and Alex had been together, they had pictured what Christmas would be like with their children. And ever since Giselle was born, she couldn't help but think about it everyday.

Alex would probably go crazy, buying gifts for her. Ellen knew him well enough that when it came to a child of his, money would be no object. No matter how hard that was to believe.

Driving through the neighborhood to look at the Christmas lights, picking out a tree at that farm that Elyse hated, baking cookies, maybe taking Giselle to see Santa...

Then, she would see Bridget or Teresa playing with Giselle, showing her the tree... and that ache wouldn't be so prominent anymore.

Boyfriends may come and go... but friendships were forever.
