𝐑𝐄-𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐆… 𝐌𝐘 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐕𝐄𝐋 𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐑, 𝐃𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐄𝐋 𝐆𝐀𝐑𝐂Í𝐀
❝ Daniel was only one in what he knew was a large amount of people who had come to Kamar Taj in an attempt to escape from the pain of their past. Born as the youngest son of one of Mexico's richest families, he had been told from almost the time he could walk how weak he was, how losing himself in the fantasy novels he loved was a waste of time, and how his older siblings were so much better than him, so much more worthy of taking over the family's business. His parents had never laid a finger on him to hurt him, but their constant insults and pointed remarks hurt just as much as any slap ever could.
And so, as soon as the clock struck midnight on his eighteenth birthday, Daniel had packed his bags and caught the first flight to Nepal. He had heard of a place there, a monastery of sorts, where people went to learn ways to cope with their trauma and pain. It was there, at Kamar Taj, that Daniel had learned the ways of the Masters of the Mystic Arts, working tirelessly to learn everything he could and become the best sorcerer he could be. The Mystic Arts was the only thing he'd ever been acknowledged to be good at, and so, he worked to become one of the best sorcerers at Kamar Taj, becoming something of a son to his leader, the Ancient One.
Then, many years later, Stephen Strange arrives in Kathmandu. A former neurosurgeon who seeks a way to heal his traumatized hands, Stephen is arrogant, sarcastic, and seems to believe he can learn everything in a day. But his clear natural talent may be their best chance of defeating Kacilius, a former student at Kamar Taj who seeks to unleash an otherworldly demon onto Earth, and so the Ancient One tasks Daniel with training the newest addition to the Masters of the Mystic Arts. Which Daniel does, because he has always been nothing if not a faithful student of the Ancient One.
While training Stephen, Daniel finds that the former surgeon is just as arrogant as he's seemed from afar. But he's also fiercely intelligent and annoyingly good-looking... and, as Kacilius ramps up his attacks and secrets about the Ancient One are brought to light, he may just be the only one Daniel can truly count on. ❞

MÁS LOCOS QUE NUNCA
EL PASO, Texas - El Paso Locomotive FC (2-3-1, 7 puntos, West-7) realizó una exhibición emocionante frente a los fanáticos el sábado por la noche cuando vencieron a Orange County SC 1-0 para registrar su primera victoria en el Southwest University Park, en 2023.
“Lo que sucedió en casa, mirar hacia atrás en la historia [reciente] y asegurar la victoria [esta noche], creo que es un estímulo para que miremos hacia arriba y sigamos jugando. Los muchachos hicieron un buen trabajo”, dijo el entrenador en jefe y director técnico Brian Clarhaut.
La primera mitad vio a Locomotive dominar el campo de juego en la mitad de OCSC, manteniendo casi el 60% de la posesión con 8 tiros y 27 entradas de tercio final. El delantero Luis “Lucho” Solignac anotó el primer gol del partido en el minuto 19, controlando una volea de Yuma con el pecho para torcer y golpear el balón por el ángulo inferior hacia el segundo palo.
Este es el segundo partido consecutivo de la temporada regular de Lucho en el que anota, y ahora se encuentra igualado con el delantero Aaron Gomez como el goleador de todos los tiempos de Locomotive en todas las competiciones con 29 goles. Inmediatamente después de una gran atajada del arquero Benny Díaz en el minuto 38, el mediocampista Eric Calvillo haría una atajada aún mayor: un despeje de cabeza en la línea de gol para evitar el empate de OCSC.

this got really long but here’s a bio for Charlie
Name: Rimon “Charlie” García, formerly Rimon Rosenthal
Age: about 24-25 (obviously it would depend on when in her canon we’re talking about but that the age i usually draw her at)
Birthday: June 8th (Gemini)
Sexuality: Pan/Bi
Relationship status: In a very complicated open polycule
General physical description: 5′10″, skinny with lean muscle, red curly hair cropped short, green eyes, red-toned medium/light skin (often sun-damaged), freckles freckles freckles.
Scars/skin markings: a two-inch scar on the outside of her upper left arm, where she removed an implant. Two scars on the left side of her neck from a raider that had attempted to slit her throat. A large uneven scar below her right collarbone from a Legion spear. An approximately 8-inch long scar on the left side of her rib-cage from another Legion spear. A large patch of road-rash looking skin on her right forearm, caused by localized radiation exposure.
Hometown: Vault 46. Originally meant to breed animals to be used in the war effort, the equipment for genetic splicing is now used to combine animal and human DNA to try and create offspring better suited to survive and fight in the wasteland.
Current family/group: She has a family group that has its homebase in the Stillwater reservoir, which dried up long ago. It’s in Rhode Island. It’s now called the Stills. Her adoptive mother and father, Paul and Stephanie García live there. Matthew, the leader of the group, is Paul’s adoptive father as well as Charlie’s genetic great-great-great(etc) grandfather, because he is one of the original humans that was used to introduce human DNA into the cocktail that eventually became Deathclaw DNA.
Charlie’s maternal grandmother, Wilhemina, lives in Louisiana with her girlfriend, Audrey. Wilhemina also escaped the vault, and left a trail for Charlie to follow. When they finally met up, Charlie stayed with them for a while, learning survival skills from Audrey, a ghoul who had been a homesteader before the war. Charlie calls Audrey her ‘Meemaw,’ as Audrey hates being called ‘grandma.’
Charlie’s twin brother, Reid, still lives in the vault. It’s Charlie’s biggest regret that she left him behind, but the security in the vault makes it unlikely for her to get back and escape a second time.
Family background: Daniel and Lisa Rosenthal are her biological parents, though Charlie hates them because they support Vault 46′s Overseer and don’t want to escape the vault.
Her family is Jewish (specifically Polish Ashkenazi) on her mom’s side and Choctaw/white (the common american blend: a little French, a little Scotts-Irish, a little German, not particularly tied to any culture) on her dad’s side.

Favorite pastimes: Once she’s made sure everything is safe, all of her weapons are clean, and any upkeep on her items is done, you can find Charlie reading anything legible she can get her hands on, fixing up old lighters, and sewing or embroidering.
Favorite foods: Steak, eggs, candy, cake, anything with loads of protein or sugar really.
Strongest positive personality trait: Will defend her friends, or any apparently helpless person with everything she has.
Strongest negative personality trait: Runs away from and ruins relationships due to her fear of abandonment/rejection (“If I leave them, they can’t possibly leave me.”). Incredibly stubborn and refuses to ask for help.
Sense of humor: Loves snappy quips and wordplay, especially literary references. Uses gentle ribbing and antagonism as a bonding exercise.

Tándem Cía. de Danza presenta Los sentidos del corazón, en el Teatro Armando Manzanero y en el CEDART “Ermilo Abreu” de Mérida, Yucatán
El martes 3 de diciembre, a las 21:00 horas, en el Teatro Armando Manzanero, y el miércoles 4, a las 11:00 horas, en el CEDART “Ermilo Abreu”, ambos escenarios en Mérida, Yucatán, se presentará Tándem Cía. de Danza, con la coreografía Los sentidos del corazón, bajo la dirección de Leticia Alvarado.
Con estas funciones que se dan en el marco del XXV Aniversario del Festival Nacional e Internacional de Danza Contemporánea Oc’- Ohtic (lo bailamos, lo danzamos), el cual se lleva a cabo en Mérida, Yucatán, del 1 al 8 de diciembre, dan comienzo también los festejos de la compañía Tándem, para celebrar dos décadas y media de trayectoria, pues nació a finales de 1994.
Los sentidos del corazón es una coreografía basada en la obra del músico austriaco Franz Schubert “La muerte y la Doncella” y su intención es revalorar la obra de este compositor en un contexto de modernidad, así como manifestar la vulnerabilidad de los sentimientos más sutiles del ser humano, el amor, la esperanza y la necesidad de recoger el secreto del otro.

“Música y danza se relacionan en complicidad: los instrumentos hablan a través del cuerpo y los signos corporales son expresados a través de la música, para generar los más delicados estremecimientos, ante la brevedad de la vida y su belleza fugaz. Un impulso de vida que forma parte del eco de la historia de la humanidad y de nuestra propia historia”, explica la coreógrafa nacida en Monterrey, Nuevo León y actual miembro del Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte 2016-2019 del FONCA.
Leticia Alvarado es directora de Tándem Cía. de Danza desde 1994. Creadora de más de 50 coreografías, ha trabajado como coreógrafa en cine, teatro, musical, y ópera. Ha participado en numerosas ocasiones como tutora, asesora de Licenciatura y jurado en deliberaciones en concursos de coreografía e interpretación a nivel nacional e internacional. Elaboró planes de estudio y currícula de la Academia de la Danza Mexicana para la Licenciatura en Danza Contemporánea.

También ha participado como autora de los contenidos de Danza para los programas de Educación Artística y Artes de Educación Básica. Fue Jefa de departamento de Danza de la Dirección general de Desarrollo Curricular de la Subsecretaría de Educación Básica en 2011. En 1994 ganó una beca como intérprete del FONCA. En 2008 fue galardonada en el Palacio de Bellas Artes por sus 25 años de destacada labor artística; en 2010 obtuvo el reconocimiento Raúl Flores Canelo por su trayectoria, así como el Premio Nacional de Danza José Limón. Por 3 emisiones consecutivas con Tándem obtuvo el apoyo México en Escena del FONCA.
Tándem Cía. de Danza (actual beneficiara del Apoyo a Grupos Artísticos Profesionales de Artes Escénicas México en Escena Octava emisión del FONCA) ha participado en una gran cantidad de festivales en el interior del país y se ha presentado en los foros más importantes de la Ciudad de México.
En 2010 abre Tándem Estudio, espacio dedicado al entrenamiento de la agrupación, así como a la docencia, ofreciendo clases permanentes, cursos y talleres. Actualmente está habilitado también como un espacio escénico, con el Foro 8X8, donde la danza emergente tiene un espacio.
El elenco está conformado por los creadores escénicos: Carolina Echeverría, María García Tabche, Eréndira López, Cassandra Solano, Daniel Hernández y Daniel Ronzón.

El 25 Festival Nacional e Internacional de Danza Contemporánea Oc’- Ohtic (lo bailamos, lo danzamos) es el festival de danza contemporánea de mayor trayectoria en México, con sede en la ciudad de Mérida, Yucatán.
La principal Misión del festival es promover, difundir y preservar la danza contemporánea en el estado, a lo que suma la existencia de estrategias inteligentes en la creación de nuevos públicos con una perspectiva incluyente, atendiendo a la población vulnerable del estado; así como potenciar el patrimonio de varias generaciones de bailarines, coreógrafos y maestros de México y del extranjero.

Thanks so much for this!!
For the first one, I would probably say Mara Yang, one of my Glee OCs. The lyrics just seem to fit how much of a dreamer she is and the types of things she daydreams about doing!
And for the second song, I think I’d have to go with Daniel García, one of my Marvel OCs. He’s been through a lot in his life, so I think the particular lyric “I’m tired of this black and blue” really speaks to how he just wants to live a quieter life helping innocent people.

He tends to be drawn towards quieter people, having not had the chance to be around them for most of his life. He might hesitate to start a conversation with you, not wanting to scare you off, but if he notices you reading poetry? He will gladly take that as an in and strike up a conversation with you about whatever poet you happen to be reading, asking you what your favorite poems and type of poems are.
If you ever show him your paintings, this man will be thrilled you actually like him enough to want to show off your art. Expect a barrage of compliments on the work, and definitely expect him to tell you how jealous he is of you, since he can barely draw a straight line with a ruler. He's completely enamoured with your artwork from there on out, and will ask if you're comfortable with letting him look every time you finish a new piece.
And don't even worry about needing support for your anxiety and depression - Daniel will be the most helpful and sweet boyfriend ever when it comes to that stuff. Having anxiety himself, he knows a bunch of good coping methods for if you're overwhelmed or just not feeling something that day, but if his methods don't work for you, he'll be more than open to trying whatever else does. And if you're struggling with your depression, he will be more than willing to do whatever you need him to do. You need him to bring you things? Remind you to eat and take whatever meds you need? Just lay in bed and cuddle with you all day? All you need to do is say the word, and he's there, willing to do whatever you could possibly need.
Finally, Daniel really loves getting to date a fellow bisexual, so expect him to make (perfectly innocent) jokes about the situation, and buy the both of you bisexual merch for Pride Month. He was shamed for his sexuality by his family so much growing up, it just makes him feel so excited to not only meet someone else like him, but actually get to love and date them. And on top of that, he's dating you, the woman who's made him the happiest he can ever remember being.
All in all, I just think you and Daniel would make an adorable, supportive, loving couple!! 🖤🖤🖤

RAVEN'S NEW YEAR'S SHOUTOUTS
Alright, I know this is a little late, but... wow! The end of my first full year in the OC community!! It's been a wacky one, for sure, but for now what I want to do is give a shout-out to everyone in this beautiful community who's made an impact on me this year.
